iInternet connection problem

I recently replaced my old wireless network with a new one. When I entered the password on my newer computer, the network worked just fine. When I tried to enter it on my older computer, which uses Windows XP, I got a message saying that the network was no longer in range, even though it was detecting the network. Anybody know what the heck is going on and if so, how do I fix it?

I did a search on google and found some other people who had the same problem. Unfortunately the websites where they posted wanted to make me register to see the solution to the problem. I didn't feel like registering, subscribing to their stupid news letters or any of that crap. <_<

You have to specify the type of encryption you're using. Also, use the default Windows XP utility and disable whatever piece of s*** utility that came with your new card.

And I hope you're using WPA2 AES encryption on your router. TKIP can be cracked in less than 5 minutes and WEP is about as old as they come. If you're using TKIP or WEP, it's not even worth the effort of encrypting it in the first place.
