Here's an interesting question: ten years from now, where do you think GoF will be? Do you think you'll still be an active member?

I see GoF with many new members(obviously  :lol  ). Some possibly even being kids of current members. It's a bit of a stretch but not impossible. By then, GoF may even become more than a forum. Maybe then the site will feature profiles for the five(or seven) LBT protagonists, a synopsis for each of the movies and episodes and maybe even a place where you can listen to the songs from the movies and show. Oh, and I hope we still have that cool Littlefoot image for the background *wants it for a screensaver*

As for me still being around here in ten years, I sure hope I will be. I like this place. It's always interesting to read what people have to say. And it's fun to get to talk with people here  :D

I have been on a lbt forum of one kind or another for 9 years. when we started the Gang Of Five, we never imagined we'd still be here 6 years down the road. yet here we are.. as for me still being here in 10 years, iI don't know. Possibly..

A number of different things could happen...

1. It dies from disinterest, and only a select few are left. They move on to a more lively forum

2. The site crashes, everyone regroups and have to create a new GangofFive. A large number of users never come back until 3 years later

3. The users keep united due their relationship with the forum and it's users/out of habit.

4. Everyone leaves GangofFive for real live, and tell their grandchildren about a time when animation actually meant something.

5. Everyone uses GangofFive until they die, and they pass on the LBT legacy through their children, who will later join the GoF themselves.

6. Production for LBT continues, and GoF continues.

6. Zombies invade GoF.

These are just based off my experiences with forums in the past (Union of destruction, dancing lawn, madness combat.net, etc.). When you have been to hell and back with a certain group of people, it's very hard to leave them.

Huh? Zombies? Get the shotguns and assault rifles we're going to war!
war! :lol

But where'd you get the Zombie part from anyway? But I think it will still be active even if LBTXIV or Season 2 isn't made.

I would need a better description of the world in 10 years... who knows the internet has been replaced by then, lol... I'll most likely stay with the Gang of Five for the fact that it is such a great community, until the sites shuts down :)

I can just imagine us all being 60+ years old and talking about the good old days when LBT was still around.  Man, if most animated shows suck nowadays, I can't even imagine how horrible they're gonna be when I'm 60........

It certainly will. Looney Tunes hasn't been seen on TV since last year. I doubt they'll put it back on this time around, but then again... hopefully, they might. What you said is highly possible though.

Good point. I watch that channel from time to time. It doesn't have the LTs on it though, but nonetheless... watching Boomerang is still a good option.

I sometimes don't even know what I want to do tomorrow, let alone ten years from now. :p  The GOF will still be around in some way, shape or form I'm sure--what that looks like you got me.  The internet changes so much.

I still see myself here in ten years.  Not only will I never outgrow my fandom of LBT, but I've also made so many friends on here that I hope to remain in contact with for a long time :yes.

I think we can only make an educated guess on what the forum will be like in ten years. Even if I end up not liking LBT very much, I think I'll still stay on here just to keep connections with people. Though the likeliness of me outgrowing it I think is very, very slim.

I agree with CT. She pretty much said what I was going to say. XD I can pretty much see myself here in 10 years as well. My love for the LBT series will never die. :yes

I've never been on a forum for a long time than the GOF. After registering a few months, I would have already left but the GOF has something that keeps me here. :yes

I can see the GOF more than just a forum. Maybe having a main site where you can listen to songs, watch episodes online or having our own fanart gallery, list and descriptions of characters, reviews of episodes and movies,... that would be so awesome. :D

Haha, I would be 30 years old by then.  :lol

I plan to have all of that and more on TheLandBeforeTime.org, but I would never try to best GOF with a forum.  I think the GOF is best as a forum and active community and that eventually TheLandBeforeTime.org will be dynamic enough (meaning editable by it's users) to stand alongside it.  That's what I'm eventually striving for.  The only hurtle I have to overcome is the LBT Server's lack of PHP support.  I know if I tried to host it through a company like GoDaddy that it would be taken down pretty quickly due to the TV episodes and other content hosted there.

What I can say for sure is that I will not happen to some day to be be fed up with the GOF and abandon it. This is so much more than just some forum. It is not about just LBT either. I made many friends here five of whom I have met in real life so far and I hope to meet more of you. I'm convinced that baring some kind of developments which are beyond the control of us the GOF will still be there in ten years :yes

Hey, I just spotted this topic, and I figured since we're almost to the ten years animeboye mentioned, I should bump this and make sure it can be found in about a year and half. I think we're gonna make it.

We managed to keep that for 8.5 years! I'm sure it'll live for another 1.5 ^^

This kind of happened! Except it was a lot more coordinated and we saw a quick influx of older users returning.
