I would have to say cera. I think her determination will carry her farther tha the others. What do you think?
-
I beleive littlefoot can run faster.
-
I would say Ducky but you forgot to put her, so I'll stay with Chomper, whom in my opinion, he's the second fastest dino.
-
i think that cera would be the best for short distance running, and littlefoot would be better for long distance running.
-
I believe Chomper would be the fastest simply becuase he's smaller, more aero-dyanmic, and less likely to trip over a rock or something. :^.^:
-
If we had Ruby part of who can run fastest I would say her since from what I heard on some episodes she is one of those running types of dinos they call and she stats she very good and running fast.
So'd I put a vote for Littlefoot since I can't vote for Ruby and say Littlefoot is one of the good runners of the group.
-
I don't have an opinion on who is the fastest of the LBT characters named above. I find it remarkable though that nobody seems to consider Ali faster than Littlefoot. One might presume that migrating dinosaurs may be somewhat more practiced in walking or (in case of danger) running even over large distances compared to those settled and composed in the relative safety of the Great Valley.
-
mabie littlefoot but i think Chomper because he has 2 legs to run on not 4 and i think this would make it easy for him to run quicker. i would think the one with the longest legs would run the fastest.

I'm sure you'll give that cheetah a run for it's money. :p
-
what do you mean? :^.^:
-
Logically Ali likely should be since she is a far walker she's use to walking likely for most of the day, perhaps running also. Her leg muscles would be better developed then a resident like Littlefoot. Also there would be times when she would have to run, at least till her mother can get her and put her onto her back, like if she's out playing, getting some water or some times like that. Though the animators would likely go with either one of the favorites, unless the plot needs another character to be the fastest.
-
this could also be true it makes so much sence thats a good point i dident think about it that way. :^.^: :yes
-
what do you mean?
Well, typically creatures with longer legs and have 4 of them run faster because they are using 2 legs to propel themselves forward as opposed to only 1. The only function of the front legs is to ensure the running creature doesn't fall on it's face. :p
-
Plus the spine can act as a spring, depending on how the quadruped runs.
-
that makes sence mabie i was wrong. :^.^:
-
Definitely Cera :^.^:. That girl can high-tail it when danger lurks :lol.

Your basic idea about Ali makes sense Kor, but I'm still not entirely certain to which nomadic dinosaur live could be compared to the effect nomadic live (or settled live) would have on humans. While many settled humans really stay in one place (their, room, their house etc.) without moving a lot, I'm not sure if Littlefoot and the others are similarly self-restricted if it comes to moving. They have their nests in the Great Vally, but they are not constricted by it like many of us are by the walls of their house. If we (humans) stay in one spot we usually do something that obliges us to stay at that spot (computer work, reading, writing etc.). If an LBT dinosaur stayed in one spot he or she would probably be bored very quickly and go somewhere to eat or do, or play something. Within the Great Valley Littlefoot and the others seem to be pretty much in motion most of the time. I am not sure if Ali's herd is moving so much more, though they would tend to move "in one direction" and towards one destination. Unless in certain special cases (fleeing from something or the need to cross a place without any food (a place which the herd would probably avoid to come near in the first place)), I suppose the longnecks would keep a comfortable walking pace.
I don't know which LBT character is the fastest. Maybe the fastest depends on the situation. In case of a short sprint Cera might have very good chances, but is she also durable in case of a very long distance to run or are others able to run for a longer distance? If there is tricky ground (boulders, rocks, ravines, and other obstacles) Petrie would probably be the fastest (if flying is permitted in that race).
Strangely enough races are mentioned in the land before time. At the end of the original movie already Cera challenges Littlefoot to a race and I think there are mentions in the sequels too. However, we never see the outcome of any race, do we? Perhaps this would be av very interesting element in a fanfiction?

Ruby is definitely the fastest. Althrought, i can understand why Ducky and Petrie weren't included in this poll, i think the choice of the characters to vote for, is a little strange.
-
Endurance wise: Ali
Speed: Strut and Ozzie (Struthiomimuses are alleged to reach speeds of 30-40 miles per hour) and Ruby (She's called a Fast Runner for a reason and real Oviraptors are alleged to be capable of speeds up to 43 miles per hour).
-
well, i say cera on long distance,
-
Why would anyone think Ali is fast? Certainly, neither she nor Littlefoot are as fast as petrie or Ruby. I believe that Petrie is the fastest overall, but Ruby is the fastest on the ground. We have no reason to believe that Ali, Littlefoot, Cera, Ruby, or any of the dinosaurs or peterosaurs had good endurance. Over a distance, I'd say Ruby would still be fastest on the ground, and Petrie the fastest in the air (and Mo would be the fastest in the water, but excluding him, the only possible answer is Ducky.)
EDIT: Keep in mind that migrating animals aren't necessarily faster than non-migrating ones; cheetahs are still faster than migrating wildebeests. We also have no idea how much intense exercise Ali gets; Littlefoot and his friends have had to do a lot of running, but we don't know if the same applies to Ali.

I'd say Littlefoot.
