Title: Basic rules and regs for RPG participation
Post by: action9000 on May 09, 2007, 05:36:48 PM
Please consider the following rules regarding RPGs to ensure that everyone has a pleasant experience here:

1) The creator of the RPG does not have infinte power over which direction the RPGs go unless this is agreed upon at the Very start of the RPG by all participants.
In other words, if you start an RPG, you need to understand that different people will tend to pull a story in a different direction than you may have had in mind.  If you really want to take a story in Your direction, I suggest you write a story instead of start an RPG.  Forum RPGs tend to be quite dynamic since every participant will have different ideas for it.  If you don't want to listen to these ideas, I recommend you write your own story instead.

2) Give the members ample time to find and decide to join your RPG.  There is no benefit to complaining about people not joining your RPG.  All that will accomplish is general annoyance to anyone who reads your post.  If you want a succcessful RPG, be patient and let people join in their own time.

3) This is a Land Before Time RPG topic.  Any other RPGs should go in the Random RPG section of the boards. LBT Crossovers belong in this forum.

4) If you are starting a purist, strict LBT Role Play, please post it in the Strict-LBT-Only (http://http://www.gangoffive.net/index.php?board=22.0) subforum, in the top section of the LBT RPG forum.
The definition of a strict LBT Roleplay can be found here:
http://z7.invisionfree.com/thegangoffive/i...p?showtopic=557 (http://www.gangoffive.net/index.php?topic=452)
THe simplest explaination is, if the RP cannot be made into an LBT movie that 100% follows the trend of released LBT movies, it is not a purist/strict LBT RP.

5) Sexually explicit role plays are not allowed on the Gang of Five.

Violation of these rules, depending on their severity, may result in a discussion, editting or closure of the topic or a warning.

Alright but, what if no one joins in the rp anyway? :p it's sad when that happens.

That's a good idea. This won't affect anyone's already-existing RPs, will it?

Normally such themes like those that are sexually explicit were restrained to PMs in any other forum I've been to. This is a good rule to have.
