Hi I'm new to this site and don't quite know how the character Bio's are used ://
I've been on other role playing forums and their lay outs have been simple :)

Age: ect....
I would like to be a frequent user but I'm confused can anyone help please?

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun and friends here.
The char listing threads are supposed to be listings for characters so you can refer to those if you rp instead of having to post your char info in every rp you are in, though with the multiple char lists I find where a particular type of character is supposed to go confusing.
I did things simpler and did my own private forum just so I can list my own characters and refer a link to them there. If you don't want to do that, and it is a bit involved, you can pick whichever character thread you like and put your characters there and write down what page your characters are on.
Does that help or do you have more questions on this or any other topic?

But if you don't want to post character information there, you could post the information in the discussion topic of your roleplay, or in the discussion topic of a roleplay you wish to participate in.

I am fine with the character bio's now thank you, if I have a role play idea is it right that i write the idea in Role play discussions?

That is the best idea. You can pm anyone who's a different color then the rest, red is the color the admin are, and ask them to move the thread you already started. Nick22, Malte279, anyone listed under the moderating thread can move your thread if you'd rather do that then start a new one from scratch and it'll save you all that typing all that info again. Hiya Littlelady15, and welcome to the GOF :wave! I've only been into the RPs for just over half a year now, and I find it enjoyable. If ya have any questions about the RPs or the GOF in general, I would be more than happy to help as best as I can, and so will the others. We're all very friendly here :yes. Of course, the admins are always willing to help if nobody else can answer a question clearly enough. Hope ya have a good time here :)!

It is always a pleasure to welcome new members to our community.
Thing about the Gang of Five is that it is a lot more than an RPG forum. Which may be why it appears a little confusing at first.
There are five main sections (most of which have subsections):
1. Important Announcements - Pretty self explanatory there are important announcements about the board rules etc. in this section but above all it is about welcoming new members here.
2. The land before time - This section is about all discussion etc. that is directly linked to the land before time this forum is based on.
3. Role Play - This is the section most interesting for you if you are mainly interested in role play gaming. There are subsections about the planning and discussing of RPGs and also for LBT related and non-LBT related RPGs. Of the GOF's admins Nick22 is the only one who is really active in the RPG section but there are also the mods AvestheForumFox, Lillefot, and The Great Valley Guardian who are active in the RPGs. But apart from the staff members the GOF in general is a rather helpful bunch of people and I'm sure any questions you may have about RPGs will quickly be answered :)
4. Beyond the Mysterious Beyond - This section is mainly about all non-LBT related discussion which includes other hobbies, interests, current (and not current) events etc.
5. GOF government some of the decisions or suggestions about changes in the GOF are put up in this section so everyone can put in his or her opinion before a staff vote decides if a suggestion is put into effect or not. There are also some threads from the staff room (visible to admins only) published in this section.
