It figures that Hollywood would go back to nominating overrated crap again. Right when I thought they were gaining their credibility back after giving all those awards to LotR: RotK, too.

Would it be surprising if I said every film nominated, I have not seen?
Nor do I plan on seeing them either.

One movie which I think is worthy of the foreign production award is the German movie "Untergang". It is about the last 12 days in the life of Adolf Hitler, and the movie is really good (but tough).

I haven't seen any of the films either. But i've heard great things about Jamie Foxx's performance as Ray Charles. I expect him to win best actor for it.

He gave his approval to the film and before he died he saw the film, or what they had completed at that point.

Considering I think I only went and watched one film last year in theaters (or anywhere) I don't think I will since I won't even know 90% of what is nominated.
: The one film was the Incredibles by Pixar Animation and I know it's up for a couple of things.

Who will win? "The Aviator", Leonardo DiCraprio, and Cate Blachette.
Who should win? "Finding Neverland", Johnny Depp, and Cate Blachette. Oh well, at least they got it 1/3 right this time.

Jamie Foxx over Johnny Depp for Best Actor and Ray over Finding Neverland for Best Picture.
I can now say that the academy is a joke without having to prove anything to justify it anymore. Oh well, at least DiCraprio didn't win.
