If Universal Studios make Future Installments to The Land Before Time (Franchise), should they "Drop the Musical?"

Personally I believe it was due to lack of direction. The first movie was wonderful. It taught life lessons while still being fun to watch. Then the series introduced a musical element. This is where I believe the movies started to drop in quality. By the time we got to the 14th movie, the lessons became too preachy and the writers did not seem to care about the story. They did not have a good idea and so they just threw together whatever they thought of. The movies were good in the beginning because they had a reason that the movies were made. Now it’s just for the money.

 I had this Idea for who knows how long & I want to make it a reality, and I want some feedback on it, so please, tell me what you all think of it, okay?

Hail-Sky Ice (inspired by sky water, replacing water with ice)
Lahar-Smoke Mud (referring to the fact that this type of disaster originates from a "smoking mountain" as the LBT world calls them)
Pyroclastic flow-Fire Smoke (it looks like smoke, but it burns like fire)

What about a:

• Lake Water that's been turned into Acid by Volcanic Activity

As for disasters in LBT that we haven't seen yet there would be:

- Drought based on dry weather (rather than one that can be just fixed by breaking a dam.
- Oil or gasfires (not likely in the Great Valley unless there was any spot where oil or gas reached the surface where it might be ignited by lightning strike (there are places on earth where fires caused by this burned for decades or even centuries though locally just at the spot where the oil or gas reached the surface)).
- While there have been several volcanic eruptions in LBT, they never included a pyroclastic flow.
- There also hasn't ever been a Limnic eruption.
- Hail is another thing, but I think you are quite aware of that one.
- We have never had any dealings with poisonous plants (not quite a natural disaster, but interesting enough for stories).

In which case "overwhelemed" wouldn't really be apply. Perhaps immigrants were simply welcome.

Okay, so the main storyline is, they're trying to save Chomper's life. Why don't you work from there and try to figure out a title for it?

I don't know how they come up with those titles (in the list above), I can't come up with a title for this one (The Land Before Time XV) can you help me, please ?

They usually have expert writers who have done tons of movies that come up with the titles. I know, coming up with a title, even if just for a chapter, is sometimes the hardest part of writing a fanfiction.

If so, then how about "The Land Before Time XV: In the Path of the Storm" or "The Land Before Time XV: In the Path of the Hurriance" or "The Land Before Time XV: A New Kind of Storm"? :unsure:

Your Forgeting about the Storyline:

Hard Sky Ice (Hailstorm) suddenly appears and destroys all of the green food in the Great Valley, and mortally wounds Chomper when he get's struck in the head by one, and the herds leave. The gang set out to find the cure, so Chomper won't die, and so their herds will not break up after a disagreement (again).

Can anyone create a title from that?

:huh: ...Is this your idea of a disaster movie or are you just asking more pointless questions? If you wanna make a good movie come up with something original. No wars, crossovers, or natural disaster-type ideas. Those gimmicks are used too much in fan-fiction. I can see a hailstorm destroying all the veggies but how the hell could it destroy the water supply? And a hail storm is not just going to hit Chomper it is going to hit many other dinosaurs.

I made a mistake, I'll only have the hail, and wind destroy the Green Food only.

My other question to you is, are you Really going to make a movie for real? Or a trailer? Maybe show us a script? Cuz' this is not a good idea, to say the least. Just sayin'.
