I'm planning on ending Mystery Of The Foreign Longnecks soon,I don't know how the story of it can continue. I'm gonna try and make this one longterm so the plot/story is pretty long.
Could not think of a name but since the first part of this RP gonna be kinda depressing,yah.
Plot: Taunted,abused,rejected,unloved-thats no way to live. However sadly that is the way six longnecks DO live. First there is the adopted father/daughter pair of Taro and Lily. Then you got the awkward adolescences Zimba and Ricky. And finally the runaway sisters Nahla and Uzuri. By some chance or strange coincidence all three longneck duos arrive in The Great Valley. Can they heal each others broken hearts? Littlefoot seems very interested in these newcomers and decides to try and get to them more. However when he does try they either ignore him,shoo him off or just plain run off in fear. Cera starts getting suspicious and spreads rumors which cause trouble for these new arrivals. Can the new arrivals clear the names and keep their right to live in The Great Valley? Or will they once again be driven out? What can our beloved gang do to help?But the most important thing of all...
Can they work together?
The plot a lot more detailed then that thats just a basic summary.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Screams of terror filled the air as two young girls fled for their lives. The one in the lead was purple grey colour with clear green eyes. Her name was Uzuri she was oldest of the duo "Keep running Nahla!" she shouted over her shoulder.
The one called Nahla shouted "I'm going as past I can Uzuri!" she panted at the effort of keeping up with her sister. She was bright pink with white markings. Her eyes were a beautiful sky blue "Where we going anyway?"
Uzuri stopped to let her sister catch up "Away from here...far away...somewhere where no one can hurt us" she said looked back at their former home "Ever again".
-
(No worries, Zimmy. I'll do those bios when I get home from school, so it'll be tomorrow for you when you get them. :yes)
Oh let that go :p
And ok Rammy,I'm gonna try and pull off a Nahla and wake up early. She dared me to wake up early for once :lol
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Walking carelessly through The Mysterious Beyond were two teenaged male longnecks. The first one was a light red with white markings. An unusual swirl was on his face,his legs were striped. Zimba blinked his midnight blue eyes showed pain and torment.
The blue male beside him had a large scar running right down his back,he was had a noticale limp. Ricky's green eyes said it all-'I want to die'.
-
Two other longnecks had stopped for something to eat, which ended up being some dried up desert plants. One was covered in scars, underweight, and looked quite tormented. The young female that was with him kept looking around everywhere, as if she was expecting something like a sharptooth to appear any second. There was clear fear in her eyes.
-
The two sisters kept running but little Nahla could go on no longer,she collapsed to the ground panting heavily. Her bones stuck out heavily. You could see every rib and her spine.
Uzuri was the same way,she turned in panic "Come on Nahla!" she tried to encourage her sister but very well knowing she was weaker due to lack of proper care and nutrition,she looked around frantic but knowing there was no use. They were alone.
-
The older male, Taro, looked over the horizon, spotting a line of high hills and mountains.
"I wonder if there's food there," he wondered as the younger female, Lily, climbed onto him.
-
Zimba and Ricky had found a small oasis. There was a few trees for a decent meal and a small watering hole to stop their thirst.
Zimba sighed knowing this was not gonna last,they'll have to find a real home
-
Giving up Uzuri sighed "Ok we can rest here for a while" she said laying protectively next to Nahla. She kept her eyes open ready to wake up her now sleeping sister and flee at at moments notice.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile in a lush paradise. A young longneck named Littlefoot was crawling playfully after a hopper. He laughed and pounced for it only to crash into his grandfathers leg he let out a surprised "Oh" and shook her his head to clear it.
(From now on I'm doing ~~~~ thing when I'm changing scenes/places)
-
"I wonder... if we keep moving... we might be able to make it to that place tomorrow," Taro assumed, hoping it wasn't farther than he thought.
"Well, I hope so," said Lily. "Maybe someone there might give us a break for once," she muttered.
"I'm afraid I doubt that," Taro answered, frowning. "Sometimes I wonder why you even came with me."
"Because I trust you," Lily replied quietly.
~
Grandpa turned to face his grandson.
"Are you all right, Littlefoot?" he asked.
-
"Yes Grandpa" Littlefoot said standing up and looking around "It's so boring" he sighed swiping at the dirt.
-
"What are you friends up to today?" Grandpa questioned.
-
"Don't know" Littlefoot said plopping to the ground.
~
The two sisters had gotten up and were back on the move. They now stood outside the large valley debating on wherever to go in or not.
-
"Well, why don't you play with them for a while?" Grandpa suggested. "I have to stay here and look after your grandmother still." Grandma Longneck was still recovering from a common virus that had taken a lot of her strength away, but she would be fine soon enough.
-
Littlefoot did not answer and instead starting drawing in the dirt seeming content rather then bored now.
~
Uzuri walked slowly into the valley "Hello?" she called quietly. She was scared though both her and her sister were so underweight they were all bone. They looked like freaks.
-
Grandma thought she had heard something, but she was too tired to even notice right now.
-
"HELLO?" Uzuri screamed louder.
-
"Huh? Who's there?" Grandma asked.
-
Littlefoot now curious got up and walked to the enteence. Only to back up in shock when he saw the two sisters they were pretty much walking skeletons.
-
Grandma raised her head, confused. "Littlefoot?" she called.
-
"Grandma Grandpa? You might wanna see this" Littlefoot said,his tone said he was shocked.
-
Grandpa walked over to his grandson, Grandma still too weak to get up and move around much. His eyes widened in horror when he saw what Littlefoot was seeing.
-
Uzuri smiled a bit afarid "Umm hello she said while her sister dove behind her shaking.
-
"Oh my goodness..." Grandpa whispered in shock. "W...Where did you two come from?"
-
Nahla stuttered out "F-f-f--from t-t-t-t-the S-S-S-S-S-Shadowlands" she was shaking in complete fear.
-
Grandpa seemed even more horrified and ran off to get something. "I'll be right back!" he called back to the little ones.
-
Uzuri nodded silenty but gasped when her sister collapsed.
Nahla laid breathless on the ground,it was a long hard journey for her.
Uzuri sat next to her for comfort "It ok Nahla,I'll ask that other longneck if you can see a healer and make you better" she looked into the distance.
Nahla buried her head into her sisters side closing her eyes 'Ok..if you really wanna trust him".
-
Grandpa came back with every different food he could find and placed them next to the children.
"Help yourselves, " he said.
-
"For us?" Nahla asked raising her head to look at the food.
-
"Of course," said Grandpa, nudging some treesweets right next to them.
-
"T-t-t-thank you" Nahla whispered in fear taking a mouthful of them.
Uzuri turned to Grandpa "Thank you sir,and sorry my sister is so scared. It just no one was really ever kind to us before".
-
"What?!" Grandpa seemed even more horrified now.
-
"Our parents really only liked our brother,so they starved us,hit us and all sorts of things" Uzuri said before taking a treesweet herself
-
"That... that's awful," Grandpa sighed in disbelief. "Is there no one else to look after you?"
-
"No" Uzuri answered "Our parents kept us locked in cave all our lives so we never really met anyone besides them and our brother".
-
Grandpa gasped. "Then... if you want to, you're welcome to stay with us," he said.
-
Uzuri thought a moment "Really?" she asked looking to the pink longneck behind her "What do you think Nahla?" she asked her sister.
Nahla nodded in agreement but was eyeing Grandpa in fear.
-
"Okay. I'll just go and ask my wife about it. No doubt she'll say yes, though," Grandpa smiled at the two before walking off.
-
Littlefoot glanced at them the horrified look still on his face before running after Grandpa.
-
Grandpa found his mate soon enough, not having moved from her spot.
"I think we're taking in some children for a while," he explained. "We got two runaways that have just arrived."
"Of course," Grandma agreed.
"You might be a bit shocked when you see them though," Grandpa warned. "They have been quite neglected."
-
Littlefoot who had reached them "They are skeletons! I could see their bones" he pointed out.
-
(Will wait for Nahla and Uzuri get all introduced till I bring my guys into the valley)
Zimba and Ricky were once again on the move,they were headed to the legendary Great Valley in hopes of maybe making themselves a home there.
-
Grandma gasped when she heard what Littlefoot said. "What?! They... they haven't... oh my goodness..." She looked very upset, she hated to see any child not get what they deserved.
-
Uzuri and Nahla were waiting for Grandpa to return they had eaten almost all the food,they were that hungry.
-
Grandpa soon came back to see what they had eaten.
"Do you want any more?" he asked, shocked to see it nearly all gone.
-
Uzuri spoke for both of them "We would just like to rest now/..also is there healer round here? My sister keeps collapsing I think she is ill".
-
"Hmm... perhaps we should see my mate about that one," Grandpa thought.
-
Nahla's world spun she stumbled and swayed a few times before collasping and blacking out. All that food of all sudden was too much for her body to keep up with. She would fine though,though she might be out for while.
Uzuri rushed to her side "Nahla? NAHLA?"
-
"I'm sure she'll be all right," said Grandpa. He carefully picked Nahla up, disturbed when he felt her ribs sticking out.
-
Uzuri watched him "Please don't hurt her" she begged.
-
"Don't worry, I won't," Grandpa promised, walking back to his mate with Nahla.
-
Uzuri followed behinf him willing to fight to protect her sister.
-
Grandma's eyes widened in horror when she saw what Grandpa was carrying.
"I know you said they were neglected... but I didn't think it would be this bad," she said quietly, now looking even more upset.
-
Uzuri stopped when she saw Grandma and starting backing up.
-
Grandpa placed Nahla in front of the old female. "She keeps collapsing for some reason," he explained.
Grandma looked at the little one. "Poor little thing," she whispered. "Did she eat recently?"
"I just gave her and her sister a fair bit of food," Grandpa answered.
"Hmm... I'd say the best thing is for her to get plenty of rest and eat well to get to a much healthier weight..." Grandma concluded.
-
Littlefoot was staring at Uzuri "What about that one" he said pointing to her.
Uzuri gasped and tried to make herself look smaller.
-
Grandma turned to Uzuri. "You should stay with us for a while," she said, looking like she was about to cry when she saw her. "At least until..." She couldn't finish her sentence before breaking down into uncontrollable sobs.
-
Littlefoot gasped and sprinted to Grandma "Grandma? Whats wrong? WHy are you crying?"
-
"It's just... terrible... to see such a thing..." the old female answered in between sobs.
-
Nahla moaned and woke up she looked around very confused.
-
Grandma tried to get up but Grandpa stopped her.
"Whatever they need, I'll get it for them," he said, smiling at her. She sighed and smiled at him.
"Okay, fine," Grandma moaned, feeling useless. She turned to Nahla, then looked at Uzuri. "I take it you two have had a hard time?" she assumed.
-
Uzuri nodded "We got about 5 treestars...."
"A day?' Littlefoot butted in looking horrfied.
Uzuri shook her head "A month"
-
Grandma gasped, she was surprised they had managed to survive on 5 treestars a month.
"Well, here you can have anything you want," she said. "How about something to drink|"
-
"Water? Theres REAL water here?" Uzuri asked looking very excited "All water we got was what there was on our cave floor...it was all mucky and dirty"
-
Grandma and Grandpa glanced at each other.
"Of course, I'm sure you'll love it," said Grandpa. He lowered his head. "Do you want to have a ride?" he asked.
-
Uzuri hopped on but she looked scared.
Nahla hang back shaking in fear.
-
Grandpa sighed. "Perhaps I should bring a treestar back for her," he said, looking at Nahla.
"Do you want to go with him, little one?" Grandma asked.
-
Nahla shook even more terrified of everything around her.
-
Grandma turned to her mate. "Yes, get her a treestar," she said.
-
Nahla took a step back and stepped on a twig snapping it. She screamed and bolted forward only to collapse to the ground,she was in complete panic and showing all signs of serve abuse.
-
Grandma tried to calm her down. "It's okay, it's okay," she said quietly. "Are you hurt?"
Meanwhile Grandpa found a quiet watering place for Uzuri to have a drink.
-
Nahla shook her head shaking harder. Cuts and bruises covering her skinny body,but they were old.
-
"Okay. Do you need anything else to eat? Do you need some rest?" Grandma was extremely worried as she fired questions at the little one.
-
Nahla didn't answer just whimpered her eyes wide with fear.
"Whats wrong with her Grandma>" Littlefoot asked confused.
-
"She's had a very hard life, Littlefoot," Grandma answered. "She's had barely any food and she's been..." She didn't want to finish her sentence.
-
"Been what?" Litltefoot asked again curious.
Uzuzri laped up the water like she never drank in her life.
-
"Abused," Grandma finished, her eyes filling with tears again.
"There's plenty more where that came from," said Grandpa. "I doubt a treestar filled with water will do much good to your sister. Did I even ask what your names were?"
-
"Abused? what does that mean?" Littlefoot asked.
Uzuri paused for a moment "I'm Uzuri..and my sister is Nahla..she very shy"
-
"It means she was intentionally hurt," Grandma explained.
Grandpa nodded. "I must apologise for my earlier rudeness of not asking. Pleasure to meet you both. Most of the Great Valley residents know my mate and I as Grandma and Grandpa Longneck."
-
Uzuri nodded "Then we will call you Grandma and Grandpa too" she smiled.
~
Littlefoot looked horrified but did not say anything,instead just buried his head into Grandmas leg.
Nahla was staring at them trembling,she jumped at every little sound.
-
Grandpa smiled down at her, and then looked back at where he had just come from. "I don't suppose there's any chance of you convincing Nahla to come over and get herself a drink?"
~
Grandma nuzzled her grandson. She wasn't entirely sure what to do with Nahla.
-
"I can try.." she thought for a moment "Can you like try and be out of her sight? I mean..stay close please..but just make it so Nahla can't see you,she'll feel safrr and allow herself to drink and relax"
~
"It's awful" Littlefoot mumbled.
-
"Don't worry, I'll be just behind those trees," Grandpa assured, pointing to the trees just behind him.
~
"I know," Grandma whispered. "Why anybody would do such a thing I will never know." She turned back to Nahla. "What's your name, dear?" she asked, realising that she, too, had forgotten to ask.
-
"N-n-n-Nahla" Nahla stuttered out.
~
Uzuri nodded "I'll go and try and bring her here" she said walking towards where she left her sister.
-
"Well, it's nice to have you here with us, Nahla," said Grandma. "Most know me as Grandma, and this is my grandson, Littlefoot," she added, pointing to her grandson.
-
"Hi!" Littlefoot said walking over to her.
Nahla just whimpered and curled up in fear.
-
Grandma sighed got herself something to eat. She knew it would be a while before Nahla trusted anyone.
-
Uzuri walked up to her sisters side "Come on Nahla,come have a drink. It ok the big longneck is gone".
Nahla stood on her feet and followed her sister. Upon reaching the water Nahla laped it up like she was scared it would vanish if she stopped for even a second.
-
"Poor little thing," Grandma sighed.
~
Grandpa was shocked to see the two new arrivals so thirsty. He felt terribly sorry for them.
-
"Will they be ok?" Littlefoot asked troubled over what he had seen.
~
Nahla was still laping up water,and Uzuri had gone for a second drink. They were loving this clean water.
(Gee what they trying to do? Drink the whole water hole? :lol)
-
"I hope so," Grandma answered.
~
Grandpa, although worried, smiled at the two. At least they had found this place.
-
The two sisters were done with their drink and Nahla felt same enough to lay down and sleep.
Uzuri sat next to her sleeping sister,looking around from Grandpa she felt safe with him even though Nahla didn't.
-
Grandpa came out from the trees. "Is everything all right?" he asked Uzuri.
-
Uzuri nodded "Yeah thank you so much S- mean Grandpa"
-
Grandpa wondered what Uzuri was about to call him but didn't worry about it. "Don't worry. If you two need anything, just call."
-
"Do you know where there is a cave we can live in?" Uzuri asked presuming Grandpa would make them live in a cave like their father.
-
"What? Do you want to live in cave?" Grandpa asked. He seemed very surprised.
-
"Don't longnecks live in caves?" Uzuri asked looking confused "Me and Nahla did..we never left it since the day we were born we were locked in"
-
"Longnecks are supposed to live out in the open," said Grandpa, looking even more horrified.
-
Uzuri looked very surprised "Really?"
-
Grandpa nodded. "You can stay with us in a clearing in the trees if you want," he said.
-
"That will be nice!" Uzuri said almost bouncing with excitement.
-
"Well, when Nahla wakes up, you can come and we'll join the rest of my family there," said Grandpa.
-
Uzuri sat down "Thank you for looking after us"
-
"It's my pleasure," said Grandpa, smiling at her.
-
Nahla opened her eyes yawning feeling better after her power nap.
-
"Should I move again?" Grandpa whispered to Uzuri.
-
Uzuri nodded whispering back "Yeah..your gonna have to gain her trust slowly"
-
Grandpa nodded and rushed back behind the trees again, keeping a close watch on the two of the young ones.
-
Nahla stood up on her feet,she hang her head and shook as she looked around. She was terrified of everyone and everything.
-
Grandma struggled to get to her feet, but eventually collapsed again. She hated being so weak after that recent illness.
-
Littlefoot laid beside her "How come the other kids are so scared?" he asked after a silence.
-
"That's probably all they know," Grandma replied.
-
"Didn't their parents look after them?" Littlefoot tilted his head.
-
"By the sounds of... no, they didn't," Grandma sighed. "There is something I should probably tell you, but you're not going to like it, little one."
-
"What is it Grandma?" Littlefoot asked curious.
-
"Well, I'll start with a story," said Grandma. "This was back when your mother was just a little older than you are. She and her... younger brother played with another young longneck called Camara. I had noticed that Camara had bruises over her body, but I just assumed that she was quite clumsy. What a fool I was... the next day I found her... and she was..." The old female failed to finish the sentence before crying again, the painful memories of not only Camara, but her children too, coming back to her.
-
"Huh?" Littlefoot asked not understanding one bit.
-
"Basically, her parents beat her to death," Grandma said quickly.
-
Horror filled Littlefoot's face and he began sobbing wildly,
-
"I'm sorry, dear," said Grandma, nuzzling him. "It's harsh, I know. I was so... I could have stopped it..."
-
"So the other kids got beaten by their parents?" Littlefoot asked through his sobs.
-
Grandma just nodded in reply. "Poor children..." she whispered.
-
Littlefoot closed his eyes "Why would they do that?"
-
"If I'm honest, I don't know," Grandma answered. "It's cruel and wrong."
-
"But we will make them better right?" Littlefoot asked trying to wipe his tears with his tail.
-
Grandma smiled at him. "Of course we will," she answered.
-
Little Nahla arrived back to the scene she was shaking,she took lost sight of her sister and was now terrified.
-
"Oh my..." said Grandma, noticing just how terrified she looked.
-
Nahla backed up more and more untill she crashed into Grandma. The pink longneck readied herself to be beaten,it was a hearbreaking sight.
-
Grandma looked down and instead of beating her, she nuzzled the child. "It's okay," she whispered.
-
Nahla jumped at the touch but did not move from it.
-
Grandma noticed a bit of dirt on the young girl and gently licked it off.
-
Nahla jumped again but realized by instinct this was a sigh of affection. She rubbed her head against Grandma and even licked her.
-
Grandma smiled at her, and gently rubbed her head against Nahla again.
-
Nahla took it all in,her tail starting to wave in happiness.
-
Grandma was elated that she had managed to gain Nahla's trust. She glanced over at Littlefoot.
-
Littlefoot was watching in confusion and interest.
-
Grandma smiled at him before tending to Nahla again.
-
Uzuri came back and opened her mouth to call her sister but closed it again when she saw what was happening.
Nahla was nuzzled Grandma and licking her like a hatchling would to its mother.
-
Grandpa had followed Uzuri and smiled when he saw his mate with Nahla. He slowly walked forward.
-
Nahla saw him coming and gasped diving under Grandma,she did not really trust Grandpa yet.
-
Grandpa sighed and backed away again. Grandma tried to comfort her.
"It's okay," she whispered. "He's nice too."
-
Nahla came out and took a step towards Grandpa but thats as far as she went,she shook in fear.
-
Grandpa smiled at her but continued backing off.
Grandma nudged Nahla, encouraging her to go to him.
-
Nahla whimpered but took one step after the other till she was standing in front of Grandpa,she reached out her thin neck and rubbing her head against his leg.
-
Grandpa smiled and gently rubbed his head against her.
-
Nahla put her front feet on his face and licked him her tail starting to wave again.
Uzuri smiled at my sister "Sorry she always does that"
-
Grandpa looked over to Uzuri and smiled at her. "It's all right," he said. "I don't mind."
-
Nahla kept licking Grandpa know trusting these big longnecks.
-
Grandma looked up and noticed the sky turning orange. "It's getting late," she said.
-
Nahla dropped down to four feet and waited to be thrown into a dark damp cave as she came to expect.
-
Instead of what Nahla was expecting Grandpa carefully picked her up and placed her gently by Grandma's side, before going back to get Uzuri.
-
Nahla did not understand this but accepted it quickly falling alseep snuggled aginst Grandma.
Uzuri smiled at Grandpa "We can't thank you enough"
-
"It's our pleasure," Grandpa answered. He went to get three treestars filled with water in case any of the children got thirsty in the night. "Anybody need anything else while I'm up?" he asked.
-
"No it fine" Uzuri answered and looked down "Umm can I sleep by you..just for tonight?"
-
"Of course," said Grandpa, settling himself down. "Littlefoot? Any particular place you want to sleep tonight?"
-
Littlefoot walked over to Grandpa knwoing Nahla was fearful of him "I don't think she trusts me yet" he said to Grandpa softly
-
Grandpa nodded and looked over to Nahla, who was fast asleep. "Well, we'll see what we can do tomorrow," he said. He nuzzled his grandson. "Goodnight," he said. "Goodnight, Uzuri."
-
"Goodnight Grandpa,goodnight Littlefoot,goodnight Grandma...and Nahla" Uzuri mumbled out before falling into a deep sleep herself.
-
"Goodnight children," said Grandma, before nuzzling her mate. "Goodnight, dear."
"Goodnight," Grandpa answered, before both of them curled up and also went to sleep.
-
The next morning, Nahla was right next to Grandma's face having crept up there during the night.
-
Taro had finally reached the valley, not having stopped all night. He was hungry and exhausted, and almost collapsed at the entrance.
-
Littlefoot was first to awake and he paced around the resting place waiting for the others.
-
Suddenly a loud crash was heard when Taro could no longer hold himself up. The crash was followed by screaming as Lily tried desperately to wake him up.
-
Littlefoot overheard it and began to walking to the entrance gasping at what he saw.
-
A young female was sobbing and trying to awaken the unconscious adult, but with no luck.
-
"Hello?" Littlefoot asked walking up to Lily.
-
Lily backed away in fear, looking absolutely terrified.
-
"Theres more of yous?" Littlefoot tilted his head in confusion.
~
Uzuri awoke with a yawned and walked over to her sister.her eyes widen when she saw her.
Nahla's condition had dropped dangerously low,she was deathly ill.
(Uzuri can have the spotlight :lol)
-
Grandma and Grandpa also woke up.
"Where did Littlefoot go?" Grandpa asked, still half-asleep, not noticing how bad Nahla was getting.
~
"W-w-w-what do you mean?" Lily stammered.
-
"I don't know he was gone when I woke up" Uzuri answered not taking her eyes off Nahla.
~
"Two other girls came here yesterday,they were both skinny and injured too" Littlefoot told her.
-
"Oh no!" Grandma cried when she saw the state of Nahla. "This is most certainly not good... Grandpa, go and find Littlefoot, quickly!"
Grandpa nodded and rushed off in search of his grandson.
-
Nahla coughed painfully.
"Whats wrong with her?" Uzuri panicked.
-
Grandma looked at Nahla carefully. "I can't be sure, but... I think it might have something to do with the severe lack of food and water the both of you have been having. We need to get her strength up, but since she's not used to so much food... I'm not sure," she concluded sadly.
-
"Will she die?" Uzuri asked terrified for her sister.
-
"I can't tell, sorry," Grandma answered. "I'll her some food and then take her to that quiet watering hole and see if she improves, and I also know a treesweet that might help with that coughing. It sounds painful." She managed to get up and walk now after last night's sleep brought back most of her strength. The old female headed towards the trees, hoping she would find the treesweeet she was looking for.
-
Uzuri looked around and realized they were alone,she franticly looked for Grandpa.
-
Grandpa had found Littlefoot, but also found the unconscious longneck and the terrified child with him.
"Littlefoot, what happened?!" he exclaimed, rushing up to his grandson.
-
"I don't know I found them like this" Littlefoot answered.
-
Lily had hidden behind the collapsed longneck, who soon started to stir.
-
Meanwhile Uzuri laid herelf aross Nahla to keep her warm,she was worried for her little sister.
-
Grandma soon came back with the treesweet. "Get her to eat this," she told Uzuri.
~
Lily shuffled over to Taro's head and nudged him to see if he would wake up.
Grandpa was shocked by the new arrivals. The adult had many scars on him, the most noticeable going down his left eye, and both longnecks were underweight and exhausted.
-
Uzuri nudged Nahla "It's time to wake up Nahla,come on" she urged nudging her harder.
Nahla awoke looking really pale and weak.
`
~
"They are bones,like the girls they came yesterday" Littlefoot commented
-
"I need you to eat this, Nahla," said Grandma, nudging the treesweet next to her.
~
Grandpa quickly brought over a load of treestars for the new duo. Taro awoke but seemed quite dazed and confused. Lily immediately stuffed herself with the food, not saying a word.
-
Nahla just dropped her head back down with a groan.
-
"Come on, dear, I need you to eat it," Grandma insisted. "Please."
~
"Ugh... where are we...?" Taro moaned.
"You're in the Great Valley," Grandpa answered. "You're safe here."
Taro lifted up his head and looked around, still unable to get up. "Wow... there's a lot of food here," he said in awe, before helping himself to the pile that Grandpa got.
-
Nahla just coughed in reply
~
Littlefoot was slowly backing away "Why does he have so many scars?" he whispered to Grandpa.
-
Grandma sighed. She didn't want it to come to this but it would have to. She would have to pretty much force the food down Nahla's throat if she didn't eat it herself.
~
"I... I'm not sure, Littlefoot," Grandpa answered.
Taro didn't hear the conversation as he ate the food in front of him.
"What happened?" he asked Lily, realising that he had just woken up from something he didn't remember. At this Lily hugged his face tightly, almost refusing to let go.
"You collapsed on me," she answered, shuddering at the thought. "I thought I was gonna lose you..."
Taro sighed. "Oh Lily... I'm sorry," he whispered, nuzzling the terrified child.
-
Uzuri sighed "Please Nahla eat it...it'll make you better I promise" Uzuri turned to Grandma "If you leave for a few minutes I can get her to eat it,she doesn't like eating with strangers around"
-
Grandma nodded and walked off, hoping Nahla would eat in her absence.
-
Uzuri pushed the treesweet closer to Nahla "Go on".
Nahla slowly picked it up and chewed.
-
Grandma kept an eye on the two from a place Nahla couldn't see her, hidden in the foliage. She sighed with relief when she saw Nahla finally eating it.
-
Uzuri looked around for a Grandma "You can come back now"
-
Grandma had gone off to find more food for everyone but returned soon enough, placing the pile of food next to the younger longnecks.
-
Uzuri dug in and ate at it like she was scared it would vanish.
-
Meanwhile back at where Grandpa had found Taro, Lily had curled herself up and tried to fall asleep, too exhausted to eat any more or be scared of anything.
Taro tried to get up but failed, even if he was underweight it was still too much pressure on his weak legs.
-
Littlefoot ran off came back dragging a large treestar with water and placed it in front of the new arrivals.
-
Taro looked at the treestar, confused. "Is... that for us?" he asked.
-
Littlefoot nodded "You's looked really thirsty to me"
-
Taro smiled at this. "You're very kind," he said. "Thanks, kid." He drank some of the water, but left some for the sleeping child next to him. No doubt she would be thirsty when she woke up.
-
Littlefoot turned to Grandpa "Grandpa one of the longnecks they came yesterday is really sick,I walked by the resting place and she was lying on the ground coughing"
-
"I'm sure Grandma will take care of it," Grandpa assured, but he seemed worried himself.
-
Uzuri was sitting by her sister.
Nahla mumbled something.
"She says she is feeling really hot" Uzuri translated the mumbles.
-
Grandma nodded and got some damp treestars and covered Nahla in the hope that they would cool her down a bit.
-
"This is all my fault" Uzuri whispered,
-
"How so?" Grandma questioned.
-
"She was showing all the signs,she tried to tell me something was wrong yet I pushed her on! She was exhausted and I force her to keep going! It's my fault" Uzuri cried.
-
"It's not your fault, dear," said Grandma. "I understand."
-
"She's gonna die isn't she" Uzuri asked wiping her eyed with her tail.
-
"No... I'll do whatever it takes to save her," Grandma answered, a determined look on her face. She wasn't going to let Nahla die after just finding paradise.
-
Uzuri looked down "May I have something to eat?" she asked shyly "Or have I got monthly limit?"
-
"What? No! Help yourself!" Grandma exclaimed, nudging the treesweets she had gotten earlier towards her.
-
Uzuri dug into the food,almost chewing and swallowing the same time. She was starving.
-
Grandma just watched the child sadly. It broke her heart to see anybody like this.
-
Nahlla turned her head so she was staring at Grandma.
-
"Are you feeling any better?" Grandma asked her.
-
Nahla didn't say anything just whimpered reaching out for Grandma she trusted her and wanted to be near her at all times.
-
Grandma went over and nuzzled the child. "It'll be all right," she whispered. "I promise."
-
Nahla licked Grandma before clinging onto her head shaking with fear as dinosaurs walked about the valley.
-
Grandpa had brought more food to the new arrivals after they had wolfed down the first bunch.
"I thank you greatly for all of this," said Taro when he too stuffed to take another bite. "Really, we haven't really had anyone else be so kind to us."
-
"Really? Were you's locked in a cave too?" Littlefoot asked remembering what Uzuri had told them.
-
"Huh? No, of course not!" Taro exclaimed. "It's just... nobody really like us. Well, nobody really likes me, and Lily has to be the one who faces it. Poor thing... she doesn't deserve it."
-
"I like you! You have scars just like The Lone Dinosaur!" Littlefoot said excitedly walking up to Taro.
-
"The Lone Dinosaur?" Taro questioned. "Strange, you like me for the same reason everyone hates me. Well, I like you too, kid!"
-
Uzuri had walked off to go find Grandpa,she spotted him and ran out. Only seeing the newcomers when it was too late.
-
"Who's that?" Taro asked, surprised to see such a thin longneck.
"Oh... she arrived yesterday with her sister," Grandpa quickly explained.
-
Uzuri started backing away "Sorry I didn't mean to interrupt"
-
"That's okay," Grandpa and Taro said in unison. They glanced at each other and Taro couldn't help but crack a grin for the first time in a long time.
-
Uzuri's gaze drifted to Lily before she turned and sprinted back to Nahla.
-
"...was it something I said?" asked Taro, suddenly looking very nervous.
"She's just a bit shy I think," said Grandpa. "Her parents hated her so she and her sister ran away and found themselves here. We've been looking after them since they came, which was only yesterday."
"That's a very kind thing to do," Taro sighed.
-
"Their parents abused them" Littlefoot butted in.
-
"That's terrible..." Taro sighed. "No child should have to go through that."
-
Uzuri arrived back at the resting place and before she knew was she was doing,she buried her head into Grandma's side.
-
Grandma was surprised but didn't do anything to stop her. "Are you okay?" she asked.
-
Uzuri pulled her head back "Sorry..I'm just scared..with Nahla being sick and all that..."
-
"I know," said Grandma. "But I'm going to make sure she'll recover."
-
"Do you think all these sudden changes were a shock to her body?" Uzuri asked looking at Nahla.
-
"Perhaps," said Grandma. "I think we should start off with not so much food an then gradually increase it as she puts more weight on. That way her body will get more used to it."
-
Uzuri sighed "What about me?" she asked curious at what was gonna be done with her.
-
"Maybe the same," said Grandma. "We don't want the same thing happening to you."
-
Uzuri nodded slowly "Thank you for this" she whispered.
-
Grandma smiled at her. "It's our pleasure, dear," she said.
-
"What if they come for us?" Uzuri asked referring to her and Nahla's parents.
-
Grandma was in thought for a few moments.
"Then we'll protect you," she said eventually.
-
"Wheres Grandpa Longneck and Littlefoot" Uzuri questioned looking around,
-
"I'm... not too sure, actually," the old female answered. "They seem to have vanished."
-
Nahla listened coughing slightly "They'll come for us..." she whispered about her parents.
-
"Well, they won't get you if you don't want to go with them," Grandma promised, nuzzling the child.
-
"They have an army", Nahla told Grandma "They will fight you"
-
"How do they even know you're here?" Grandma countered, not entirely sure how to answer to what Nahla had said.
-
Nahla looked down "I don't know"
-
"Well, if they do come then we have a whole valley of residents ready to protect themselves from danger," said Grandma. "I'll be sure to warn them. I must have forgotten to ask this... where are you two from, anyway?"
-
Nahla and Uzuri glanced at each other.
"The Shadowlands" Uzuri answered for the both of them softly backing away in case Grandma attack know she knew who they were.
-
"Oh..." Grandma was shocked, to say about the least.
-
"But we not here to hurt anyone honest!" Uzuri cried.
-
Grandma smiled at her. "I know," she answered.
-
"Let me guess,we have to leave cause we are Shadowlanders" Uzuri said starting to get Nahla to her feet fulling expecting to be kicked out.
-
"I didn't say that," said Grandma. "You're still more than welcome to stay."
-
"Really" Uzuri asked surprised.
-
"As long as you don't tell the other grown-ups," Grandma added. "I doubt Mr. Threehorn would be too happy about having Shadowlanders here."
-
Nahla gasped for breath and collapsed back to the ground.
-
"But he won't find out," Grandma assured. "And if he does, I'll make sure he keeps his mouth shut."
-
Nahla whimpered "What...did The Shadowlanders do?" she asked.
-
"They tried to start a war here and take over the Great Valley," Grandma explained. "But luckily we all joined up as a team and eventually drove them back."
-
Nahla whimpered again.
-
Grandma realised she wasn't really helping. "But... the way some of them treat their children is disgusting, if you ask me. I don't care if you two are children of Shadowlanders... you deserve better."
-
"They put Nahla into a coma once" Uzuri said quietly as the past came crashng onto her.
-
Grandma was shocked and sighed. "I'm very sorry to hear that," she said quietly. "We will never do such a thing to either of you though, I promise."
-
"You mean we don't have to have 'beating time' here?" Uzuri asked looking happy and excited.
-
Grandma looked more and more worried as more of Nahla and Uzuri's life was revealed. "N-no... no beating time here at all..." she stammered.
-
"YAY!" Uzuri cheered jumping up and down.
-
Grandma smiled at her, but worry still showed clearly in her eyes.
-
Nahla noticed the worry "Whats wrong?" she asked in her shy little voice.
-
"It's just... what you've been through..." Grandma whispered before breaking down into sobs again.
-
"Don't cry" Nahla whispered choking back sobs of her own.
-
"Sorry," said Grandma. "I just find it so hard to imagine what you two have been through..."
-
"We ok now" Uzuri whispered
-
Grandma nodded and sighed. "These two are taking a while..." she said, wondering what had happened to Grandpa and Littlefoot.
-
Littlefoot arrived back almost on cue,a troubled look on his face.
-
"There you are," Grandma sighed with relief. "I was getting worried about you two. Did your grandfather find you?"
-
"Yeah...he found us" Littlefoot said not realizing Grandma didn't know he was with someone else.
-
"Us?" Grandma questioned. "Were the other children with you?"
-
"No...the new comers...they just got here today,theres an adult and his kid or something" Littlefoot said helping himself to the food Grandma got for the girls earlier.
-
"More newcomers?" Grandma wondered. "We've been having a few of those lately. Is it just the two of them?"
-
Littlefoot frowned "Well I saw a longneck watching us" his gaze drifted to Nahla "Hey she looked like you!"
-
"I take it Grandpa stayed with them?" Grandma asked.
-
"YeaH,but the one that looks like that girl here turned and ran off" Littlefoot answered.
-
"Oh..." Grandma sighed. "Were they in trouble?" She carried on firing questions at her grandson.
-
"The pink one ran up to a black longneck and they both walked off. The adult and kid are eating" Littlefoot laid onto the soft ground.
-
"Hmm..." Grandma also ate, trying not to think too much about it.
-
Littlefoot looked to the ground "It was kinda odd" he commented.
-
"It does sound a little strange," Grandma wondered. She looked over to Nahla, noticing how much she looked like someone she knew.
-
Nahla froze "Was the longneck..pink with a white diamond like shape on her face?"
Littlefoot nodded "Yeah"
Nahla gasped "Thats...." she looked over to Uzuri
"Our Mother" Uzuri finished for her sister.
-
"Okay, we need to warn the others. Littlefoot, stay with these two, okay?" she asked as she hastily got up.
-
"Sure" Littlefoot said but he was confused.
-
Grandma rushed off to find her mate. She was surprised when she found him. Grandpa was just leaving them after Taro had fallen asleep with his exhaustion.
"What's going on?" he asked, noticing his wife's worried look.
"The Shadowlander leader and his mate... they were here," Grandma whispered.
Grandpa gasped in shock and immediately the two went to gather the herds.
-
Nahl whimpered she knew her parents would come for them.
-
Soon the herds were gathered, so Grandpa announced the situation.
"We are faced with yet another dangerous threat to our valley... actually, it's the Shadowlanders again," he sighed. "We know how dangerous they can be from last time, so we need to be prepared!"
Lily shivered when she heard the uproar coming from the rock circle. She tried to get back to sleep but she was sure the herd was coming for her and Taro, and that terrified her.
-
Nahla was terrified she jumped to her feet and without realizing it ran right to the rock circle,just the look of her said 'Shadowlander'.
-
"Hey, that looks like that female that attacked us the first time!" a swimmer yelled, noticing Nahla.
"It must be a spy! Get her!" shouted a threehorn.
Grandma quickly snatched Nahla up to get her away from the other dinosaurs.
-
Nahla stared at the dinosaurs trembling "Please don't hurt me"
-
"But she's a Shadowlander!" another dinosaur protested.
"She's with us," Grandpa said calmly. "Both her and her sister are staying with us two. They have nothing to do with the Shadowlanders any more. Leave them be."
A murmur went through the crowd but eventually all of them agreed... except for one.
(Guess who? :lol)
-
"They are pulling a trick on you!" Mr Threehorn shouted barging through the crowd.
-
"We can assure you, they're not. They managed to escape the Shadowlands and came across this valley by chance," Grandpa argued. "They're both terrified!"
-
"Huh,it an act" Mr Threehorn protested.
Nahla was shaking her eyes wide with fear,cries of torment escaped her.
-
"Grandma, get her out of here," said Grandpa. The female nodded and walked away with her, noticing that the crowd was starting to take the threehorn's side.
"Look, enough about her, the leader and his mate were here!" Grandpa yelled out to the herds.
-
"Yeah,to finish their plan. They sent their brat to gain our trust" Mr Threehorn shouted.
-
Grandpa shook his head. "To be honest, threehorn, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. If you got a good look at her, she would only be doing it out of pure fear of her parents. They've been awfully mistreated," he sighed.
-
Uzuri arrived on the scene after hearing her sisters cries,she gasped when she saw the herds
"Theres another one! Finish her!' Mr Threehorn shouted.
-
The herds got in the way of Grandpa so he couldn't reach Uzuri. "RUN!" he cried.
-
Uzuri tried to but the threehorn had her trapped by the tail "NAHLA!" she screamed out for her sister.
-
Suddenly another dinosaur tripped over onto Mr Threehorn as Grandma arrived at the scene.
-
The threehorn lost his grip on Uzuri who quickly bolted.
-
Grandma motioned at the young one to follow her as she went through the trees. She would have to find somewhere for them to hide.
-
Uzuri followed completely terrified.
-
Grandma took her and Nahla up high, to the secret caverns.
"Hide yourselves in there," she instructed. "I'll be up with food as soon as I can."
-
Uzuri nodded and huddled up with Nahla.
-
"Oh, and there should be water in there!" Grandma called as she walked off.
~
The herds went berserk and turned on Grandpa Longneck.
"Why did you let her escape?!" a swimmer yelled at him.
"Are you working with them?!" a threehorn demanded.
"No!" Grandpa answered, backing off as the herds approached. "They're just children... they were starved, abused, and it seems that all they want is someone who'll look after them! They're terrified whenever their homeland is spoken of, as well as their parents. We should just leave them alone for the time being and see what happens, but we all need to stay alert for those two!" he added, referring to the pink and black longnecks Littlefoot had seen earlier.
-
Mr Threehorn roared in anger "They are still Shadowlanders!" he augured trying to get the herds on his side.
-
At that point Grandma came back.
"They've run off," she said. "Besides, it's not those children we should be worrying about now. It's the rest of the Shadowlanders!"
-
"Yes worry about us" a voice broke through the herds as a female longneck walked forward,she was pink just like Nahla.
-
The herds gasped as they recognised the longneck.
"Nani..." Grandpa whispered.
-
Nani glanced around the herds chuckling "Long time,no see"
-
"What do you want with us this time, Nani?" Grandma snarled.
-
"I'm just looking for my children,have you seen them? They answer to Nahla and Uzuri" Nani asked with fake smile
-
The dinosaurs were silent and looked at Grandma and Grandpa, as everyone knew they had the answer.
"They're gone," said Grandma.
-
"And where are they gone to?!!" Nani demanced ramming into the older female.
-
Grandma fell to the ground which angered many of the valley residents, Grandpa Longneck especially. However, Grandma got up, not seeming too injured from it.
"We don't know, we chased them off," she growled.
-
Nani rolled her eyes and spotted Littlefoot who arrived on the scene curious. She reached out and grabbed him and held her foot over him as she looked at Grandma and Grandpa "Tell me where they are...or else"
-
The old longnecks were horrified.
"Oh, fine," said Grandma. "They're hiding in the woods near the Thundering Falls. That way," she said, pointing in the direction of the place she was talking about.
-
Nani smirked and began to walk off,but stopped and kicked out at Littlefoot.
Littlefoot just managed to dodge the attack.
-
"That was a big fat fib, wasn't it?" Grandpa asked his mate as she struggled to get up.
"Yes," Grandma admitted. "They're in the Secret Caverns. Well, I can't help it if they run off, can I?"
"True," said Grandpa. He rubbed his head gently against hers. "Are you all right?"
"I'll be fine," Grandma sighed. She looked over to her grandson. "Are you okay, little one?"
-
Littlefoot was just about to answer yes when a tail came crashing onto him knocking him out.
Nani looked down at the unconscious child laughing before walking where her children were supposed to be.
-
"That little-"
"All right, dear. Not in front of the other children," Grandpa said calmly, walking up to Littlefoot, although he too, looking extremely angry and upset. He turned to the other herds. "Get your children out of here! Now!"
-
The herds departed rushing off to gather their young.
Littlefoot was out cold having dealt a blow to the head from a fll grown longneck.
-
Grandma rushed over to Littlefoot, not noticing the pain in her side from collapsing.
-
Blood could be seen where Littlefoot was hit but it wasn't serious it mainly just knocked him out.
-
"He should be okay," said Grandpa. "A little dazed, if anything. Get him out of here with the parents. I'll stay with the fighters and try and get Nani away from here."
Grandma nodded and picked Littlefoot up before rushing off.
-
Nani reached where her children were meant to be.A snarl formed on her face when she saw they ween't. She stormed back to Grandpa "Enough games. WHERE ARE THE LITTLE BRATS?!!" she sceamed.
-
"Don't look at me, how am I supposed to know where they disappeared to?" Grandpa answered calmly.
-
Nani got in his face "I know you know where they are..your just protecting the" she growled with every breath.
-
"Honestly Nani, I don't know," said Grandpa. "As far as anyone knows they could be far out of the valley now."
-
Nani backed off "This is not over old timer,I'll be back..and if I see that thing you call a Grandson I'll cut his throat" she threatened bringing her tail to the ground with a heavy whack.
-
Grandpa had to seem to remain calm and not let Nani think he was scared of her, but inside he was terrified. If he lost his grandson he and his mate would have almost nothing to live for.
-
"I mean it..if he so much gets into my sight he is dead" Nani promised before storming away.
-
Grandpa sighed with relief when she was gone, but he, as well as the other dinosaurs, were terrified. The herds scattered, looking for their families.
-
Meanwhile Nahla and Uzuri were terrified,they were alone. The two sisters wee huddled up shaking.
-
Grandma had gone up by the secret caverns with Littlefoot to get a better view at what was going on. To her relief it seemed like Nani had left for now, and she went over to the place where she had left Nahla and Uzuri.
-
Nahla screamed as she heard someone coming unaware it was just Grandma.
-
"Hey, it's okay! It's just me!" said Grandma as she poked her head into the cave.
-
Uzuri smiled "Yay you came back for us!"
-
"I did indeed," said Grandma. "I'm afraid I didn't bring anything with me, though."
-
Uzuri frowned when she saw Littlefoot "What happened?"
-
"That evil-" Grandma stopped herself when she realised what she was saying. "Your... your mother came looking for you two. She knocked Littlefoot unconscious."
-
"Mummy was here?" Nahla asked looking terrified.
-
"I'm afraid so," Grandma sighed. "She was looking for you two, but I think she's gone now."
-
Nahla whimpered backing up against the cave wall.
-
"I just hope she won't come back now," Grandma muttered.
-
Littlefoot shifted as sign he was starting to come round.
-
"Littlefoot?" Grandma called, hoping to get a response out of him.
-
"Grandma?" Littlefoot's shakey voice answered,as Grandpa predicted he was dazed.
-
Grandma put him gently down on the ground. "It's all right, Littlefoot. I'm here," she whispered, nuzzling him.
-
"What happened?" he groaned rubbing his head.
-
"That... that female hit you and knocked you out," Grandma answered.
-
"Oh" Littlefoot said standing up,he was dizzy but fine.
-
Grandma kept her head next to him in case he got unsteady.
-
Nahla's stomached growled for food. The young girl whimpered and backed up.
-
At that time Grandpa appeared.
"How's Littlefoot?" he asked.
"Fine," Grandma answered. "Could you go and get some food for everyone?" Grandpa nodded and walked off.
-
Uzuri sighed "I guess it our fault she was here"
-
"I doubt it's your fault that you stumbled upon this place and she followed," Grandma answered.
-
"Grandma why as that longneck so mean?" Littlefoot asked still rubbing his head.
-
"I'm not sure, little one," Grandma answered. "Some dinosaurs are just like that."
-
Nahla whimpered loudly again backing up even more before tripping over her own tail.
-
Grandpa came back with some food. "Eat up, everyone," he said.
-
Uzuri rushed over and dug into the food.
However her sister hung back in the corner shyly.
-
Grandma smiled at Nahla. "Come on, dear. Help yourself," she said.
-
Nahla didn't budge.
Littlefoot walked over slowly and began to help himself already recovered from his attack.
-
Grandma turned to Uzuri. "Any chance you can get her to come out?" she asked.
-
Uzuri glanced over "Come on Nahla it's ok..they are our friends they won't hurt us..they are friendly"
Nahla poked her head out but that as far as she went.
-
Grandma and Grandpa smiled at Nahla and Grandma nudged some food towards her.
-
Nahla stepped out of the cave and sniffed the food as if checking for poison or something.
-
"It's okay," said Grandma.
"Nani threatened to come back," said Grandpa.
-
At Grandpa's words Nahla bolted back into the corner,her food untouched.
-
"You shouldn't have said that," Grandma scolded.
"She threatened to kill Littlefoot," said Grandpa.
Grandma suddenly stopped as her face filled with horror.
-
"She's gonna kill me?" Littlefoot asked completely terrified.
-
"Not if we can help it," Grandpa answered.
-
Littlefoot hugged Grandma's leg looking completely terrified.
-
"It's not going to happen, Littlefoot," Grandma assured. "Not while I'm still walking around."
-
Naha meanwhile in the cave began sobbing heavily.
-
"Nahla? It's okay dear, nothing's going to happen," said Grandma. "I promise."
-
Nahla poked her small head outside the cave she whimpered before stepping out.
-
Grandma gently nuzzled the child. "Everything is going to be fine," she whispered.
-
Nahla licked Grandma and wagged her tail happily.
-
Grandma smiled back at her, but Grandpa frowned. The other herds would probably think that it was the children's fault that Nani came, and they couldn't hide in the secret caverns forever.
-
Uzuri had stopped eating and was looking over the valley with a sigh "We can leave" she offered.
-
"That's only if you want to," said Grandma. "I'm sure we can convince the others."
-
"That threehorn hurt me" Uzuri whispered looking at her tail.
-
"Well then, I'll whack him in the face later and put him through torture until he apologises," said Grandma.
"Now that's going a bit far," her mate chuckled.
-
Littlefoot was still clinging to Grandma he was shaking.
-
Grandpa smiled and nuzzled his grandson. He was trying to assure everyone it would be fine, but deep down he was also terrified.
-
Nahla suddenly bolted out of the cave crashing into Grandma. Nahla gasped and backed up.
-
"What is it, dear?" Grandma asked, now even more frightened.
-
Nahla just whimpered.
Uzuri walked into the cave looking for what could of scared her sister,she pointed to a spider "I think this thing spooked her"
-
"Oh, I see," said Grandma. "Well, it's not going to hurt anyone."
-
Nahla whined burying her head into Grandma's leg..she hated those eight leggged things.
-
Grandma shooed the creature away. "There... it's gone now," she said.
-
Nahla had fallen asleep her head still buried into Grandma.
Uzuri giggled softly.
-
Grandma smiled at the child and didn't move; she wanted Nahla to get some peaceful sleep.
-
Littlefoot finally let go of Grandma and walked over to finish his meal,
-
Grandpa looked over at the horizon and sighed. He knew he wouldn't be getting a very good night's sleep tonight.
Grandma just kept a very close eye on Nahla.
-
Nahla yawned and shifted herself remaining asleep.
Uzuri rose her head "I can wake her if you want"
-
"Oh, she's fine there," Grandma assured.
-
Littlefoot yawned,it was getting late. The Shadowlander attack took up most of the day.
-
"I think it's time we all went to sleep," Grandpa yawned, getting tired himself.
-
Uzuri stood up "Ok goodnight" she began to walk into the cave as she was used to all her life.
-
"Where are you going?" Grandma asked, confused.
-
"To bed..." Uzuri answered also confused.
-
"Aren't you... coming with us, then?" Grandma asked, now more concerned than anything.
-
"But Mummy said lowlifes like Nahla and me don't sleep with the herd" Uzuri explained.
-
Grandma and Grandpa looked at each other, both looking completely horrified by what they had just heard.
"You're not lowlifes here," said Grandpa. "You can come with us tonight, if you wish."
-
Uzuri turned and walked out "Really?"
-
"Of course!" Grandma exclaimed. "You're more than welcome!"
-
"Yay!" Uzuri cheered and jumped in excitement.
-
Both of the old longnecks smiled at her, though they were concerned. Grandma carefully picked up Nahla as Grandpa picked up Littlefoot and started to walk back to their resting place.
-
Nahla didn't even open an eye and remained fast asleep.
Uzuri had to run to keep up with Grandma and Grandpa,she panted at the effort of doing so.
-
The old longnecks noticed and slowed down for Uzuri.
-
Uzuri finally caught up with them,she panted out of breath.
-
"Do you want a ride?" Grandpa asked, putting Littlefoot down so that the little one could jump on his head instead.
-
Uzuri nodded collapsing to the ground trying to catch her breath.
-
"Hop on Uzuri," said Grandpa.
-
Uzuri tilted her head not understanding.
Nahla remained asleep but whining came from her a sign she was dreaming.
-
Grandpa just sighed and picked up Uzuri before walking again.
-
Nahla started kicking out in her sleep "Mummy..stop..mummy stop it it hurts!" she cried out.
-
Grandma was quite startled. She quickly put Nahla down and nudged the child. "Nahla! Wake up, little one!"
-
Nahla woke up with a scream,tears poured down her face.She shook heavily.
-
Grandma gently nuzzled her. "Shh... it's okay, dear. It was just a sleep story."
-
Nahla stopped sobbing,calmed by Grandma. She still whined and shook though.
-
"We're nearly at the resting place now," Grandpa announced calmly. He suddenly frowned.
"What's wrong, dear?" Grandma asked him.
"The other newcomers," Grandpa answered. "I don't think anybody checked to make sure they were okay after... you know..."
"I'm sure they'll be fine," Grandma assured.
-
Littlefoot yawned before he could no longer go on,he dropped to the ground asleep.
Nahla had also fallen back to sleep.
Uzuri remained awake she gazed up at the stars.
-
The old longnecks also settled down for the night, but neither of them fell asleep straight away, both unsettled by the day's events.
-
Uzuri stood up and walked closer to them feeling a bit chilly,even though it was late she was not the least bit tried.
-
Grandma and Grandpa didn't mind, but they didn't seem to be paying much attention, either. They were still too worried about Nani's threat.
-
"Are you two ok? Uzuri asked softly
-
"We're fine," Grandma answered bluntly.
-
"Are you's worried about what Mummy said?" Uzuri asked again.
-
"Well... yes," Grandpa sighed.
-
Uzuri's gaze drifted to the ground "What did she say exactly?"
-
"I don't think it's a good idea to tell you just before you go to sleep, little one," Grandma answered quietly.
-
"Please just tell me" Uzuri whispered.
-
Grandpa took in a deep breath. "She threatened to come back and kill Littlefoot..." he answered, so quietly that he could barely be heard.
-
Uzuri tilted her head "Sorry I didn't hear that" she looked away towards her sleeping sister.
Nahla let out yelps in her sleep.
Uzuri sighed "She always has sleep scares"
-
"I said your mother threatened to come back and kill Littlefoot," Grandpa repeated, a little louder this time.
Grandma looked over to Nahla sadly.
-
Uzuri gasped "I won't let her,I'll gladly give my life if it saves Nahla,Littlefoot and you two" Uzuri said turning a few times before laying down.
-
"Well, let's not worry too much about that now," said Grandpa. "Let's just try and get some sleep."
-
Uzuri looked to the ground "May I have something to drink first?"
-
"Of course," Grandpa answered, getting up and getting Uzuri a treestar full of water.
-
Uzuri laped up every drop and yawned her eyes heavy with sleep.
-
"Goodnight," said Grandma, nuzzling Uzuri.
-
"Goodnight" Uzuri said back laying down next to Nahla and Littlefoot.
-
The old longnecks tried to get some sleep but they were both finding it hard after the day's events.
-
It was early the next morning Nahla awoke with a scream,sweat poured down her as she shook heavily from her nightscare. She started wailing.
-
Grandma was still awake, and looked over to Nahla before going over and trying to comfort her. She looked like she didn't get much sleep at all last night.
-
Nahla kept on screaming and sobbing "They hurt me!" she would cry over and over.
-
"Shh, it's okay little one. They're not here," Grandma whispered.
-
Nahla clung onto Grandma shaking.
-
Grandma stayed with her, but she could feel her eyes drooping, and every inch of her was begging her to sleep.
-
Nahla started to quieten down,it was so early it was still dark out.
-
Grandma yawned, feeling as though she was about to collapse on the spot with exhaustion.
-
Nahla whined "Can I sleep with you?" she whispered.
-
Grandma just nodded with a weak smile on her face.
-
Nahla yawned almost swaying with exhaustion.
-
Within a few moments Grandma had fallen asleep, snoring softly.
-
Nahla rested her head on one of Grandma's legs and also fell asleep.
-
However, Grandma was still not sleeping very well. She was also having a sleep scare but did little more than frown and shift around slightly.
-
Uzuri rolled over in her sleep but did not wake.
-
Grandpa slowly opened his eyes and quickly made sure that everyone was there and safe. Like his mate, he didn't have the best sleep.
-
Littlefoot was also not sleeping well.he tossed and turned he was having sleep scares about Shadowlanders killing him.
-
Grandpa noticed and gently nudged Littlefoot to wake him.
-
Littlefoot awoke with a scream he only relaxed a little bit when he saw it was just Grandpa.
-
"It's okay Littlefoot," Grandpa said quietly as he nuzzled his grandson.
-
Littlefoot leaned into Grandpa "I had a sleep scare"
-
Grandpa brought him close, he was also terrfied.
(School lied to me, they're taking it in on Wednesday instead now. That just makes things even more awkward now.)
-
(And you were all prepared to)
Littlefoot suddenly screamed seeing a pink longneck walk up to him,realizing to late it was only Nahla.
Nahla jumped back in shock and bolted.
-
"Oh my..." Grandpa sighed, trying to get up. "I hope she doesn't go too far."
-
`Nahla ran and crashed into her sleeping sister causing her to topple over and land heavily.
Uzuri woke with a surprise yelp she saw her sister laying on the ground looked panicked and got worried.
-
Grandpa rushed over to where he had heard the yelp. "Are you two all right?" he asked when he reached them.
-
Uzuri nodded "I'm fine just startled"
Nahla didn't say anything but she did have a bit of a bruise where she landed.
-
Grandpa had a quick look at Nahla's bruise but soon decided that she would be just fine.
"Do you need anything while I'm up?" he asked.
-
"Can we have some water?" Nahla whispered so softly she could barely be heard.
-
Grandpa just about heard her and nodded. "I'll take you to the sheltered watering hole," he said.
-
Uzuri smiled "Yay!" she ran forward while Nahla stayed back in fear.
-
Grandpa lowered his head next to Uzuri. "I don't suppose she trusts me yet, does she?" he asked.
-
"I think your remind her of what Daddy did to her,she is scared of all males because what he had done to her" Uzuri explained glancing over.
-
"Ah... I can only imagine what he must have done," Grandpa sighed.
-
Nahla was thirsty but too scared to move.
Uzuri sighed "You have to show her your not like Dad and you won't hurt her like he did" Uzuri sat down she would have to wait for Nahla.
-
Grandpa was about to approach when another young longneck crashed into Nahla.
-
Nahla screamed thinking she was being attacked.
-
Lily backed away immediately, looking almost as terrified as Nahla. "I-I-I'm sorry!" she cried.
-
Nahla stared up at Lily,wide eyed and trembling.
-
Lily backed off, whimpering. She seemed to have a fresh cut on her shoulder.
-
Uzuri rushed over "You ok Nahla?" she asked.
Nahla nodded whimpering,
Uzuri turned to Lily "Are you alright? Don't feel bad Nahla is just very timid"
-
Grandpa also rushed to the scene.
Lily did not take her eyes off Nahla. "You... you look like her..." she stammered.
-
"Like who?" Nahla asked shaking even harder.
-
"S-s-she came... yesterday... she attacked us... she hurt..." The young longneck couldn't carry on before bursting into tears.
-
"Who is 'she'?" Uzuri questioned but had a feeling she knew the answer.
-
"She... she looked like an older version of her," Lily answered, looking at Nahla.
-
"That must of been...our Mother" Uzuri said worried.
-
From out of the trees, another longneck emerged, but Taro was covered in even more cuts and bruises and looked even more exhausted than when he first arrived. He kept his distance from the group, not wanting to frighten them.
-
A chuckled filled the air as Nani's voice rang out "I suggest you keep your little brats close or I might have to dispose of them myself" she said stepping out of the shadows.
(I bought jelly...but I dropped it)
-
Grandma had opened her eyes, a bad feeling telling her that danger was close. She was right when she saw Nani. She already seemed wide awake as she quickly rushed over to Littlefoot.
Grandpa swiftly stood protectively in front of the young ones, glaring at the other female. Taro, although exhausted, followed his lead and rushed over to stand next to him.
-
"Give me my children" Nani demanded "And we won't have any trouble"
-
"Only if they want to go with you," Grandpa answered calmly.
-
Nani stared at the children.
Nahla backed up tripping over her tail.
Uzuri grabbed Grandma around the leg "Don't let her take us..she hurts us" she cried.
-
Taro just glared at Nani with nothing but sheer hate. "I think you should leave, then," he snarled.
-
"Give me my children and I will" Nani snarled back.
-
"You don't deserve them," Taro growled.
(Again, school failed me. Nobody knows when these darn computers are going in. Now I have a bag that weighs a ton that I need to carry around for the rest of the day.)
-
(EVIL)
Nani stomped her foot "Oh what would you know,I take great care of my daughters"
-
"Considering that when they came here they were starving, thirsty, exhausted, terrified and clearly abused," Grandpa argued.
"That's great parenting," Taro added sarcastically.
-
"I fed them.." Nani protested
-
"When, what, how much?" Taro countered. "They don't look very well fed to me."
-
"I gave them 5 treetsars a month,thats more then those brats are worth" Nani huffed.
-
"T-That's terrible!" Taro protested. "I don't even consider that feeding them!"
-
"Then what is it then? Its food..they eat" Nani said rolling her eyes.
-
"You might as well feed them nothing then, if they're only eating five treestars a month," Taro grumbled. "You should feed them a good amount of food at least three times a day."
-
"Why would I do that?" Nani shot back "Someone would think I cared for them"
-
Taro scoffed. "No wonder they don't want to be anywhere near you," he muttered.
-
"What was that?!!" Nani snapped to Taro
-
"I would appreciate it if you didn't start attacking me again," Taro sighed. "I have someone to look after myself, you know."
-
"Give me my children...NOW!" she snarled as more longnecks walked up behind her-Shadowlanders.
-
Lily started to nudge Nahla and Uzuri away towards Grandma Longneck as more valley residents gathered behind Grandpa and Taro.
-
Littlefoot was frozen to the spot and fear as a longneck walked up to him and grabbed him before backing up back to Nani.
"How about a trade then?" Nani smirked.
-
Pretty much all of the residents were in outrage at this.
"Give him back..." Grandma snarled as she joined her mate and Taro.
-
Nani smirked "Make me"
-
She was outraged. She didn't care if this cost her life. She just needed Littlefoot to be safe.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Grandpa cried as his mate charged and started to attack Nani.
-
The shadowlander female who had Littlefoot laughed dangling Littlefoot by the ail "You want him?" she taunted.
Littlefoot was terrified.
Nahla was screaming her head off.
Nanu just rolled her eyes and completely rammed her body into Grandma.
-
Grandma quickly got up like it was nothing and headed towards the female that had Littlefoot.
Grandpa quickly put himself into the battlefield, he didn't know what his mate was thinking but he had vowed to protect her and Littlefoot at all costs. Soon enough, the other valley residents followed his lead.
-
Nani gasped in shock when Grandma got up but soon jumped into her path "Give me my daughters or.." she nodded and the female with Littlefoot walked over "You can say bye bye to your precious grandon here"
-
"What's the point?" Grandma growled back at her. "They'll only run away from you again because they can't stand to be anywhere near you."
-
Nani muttered to the other Shadowlander who dropped Littlefoot.Nani raised her foot over him "One last chance".
"We'll go!" a voice broke through the herds,,Uzuri walked forward leading a sobbing Nahla "Mummy we will go with you just leave these nice Great Valley dinosaurs alone"
-
Everyone stopped and looked at Nahla and Uzuri.
Lily saw her chance. She darted in between the dinosaurs and quickly managed to get Littlefoot on her back before shooting off behind some bushes.
-
Nani grinned "Good" she walked forward and began to beat Nahla "I'll teach you to runaway!" she shouted as she striked Nahla
(On phone my laptop left mouse is broken)
-
Lily put Littlefoot down, panting. "Are you okay?" she asked.
Grandma couldn't watch. She quickly grabbed Nahla and pulled her away as Taro stood in Nani's way.
-
Nahla screamed blood pouring down her head.
Nani snarled "Give her back"
Littlefoot nodded,but he was shaken.
-
"No," Taro growled back. "Leave her alone."
~
Lily looked back at what was happening and shuddered before turning away again.
-
Nahla dropped to the ground now unconscious.
Uzuri screamed and turned before fleeing only to run into the valley residents.
~
Littlefoot shook in fear he watched Lily and opened his mouth to say something but changed his mind and shut it again.
-
Grandma picked up Nahla and backed off before she could think about tending to her wounds.
The valley residents weren't sure what to do. After what they had just witnessed, they didn't particularly want the children of the Shadowlanders to go back to torture.
~
Lily just stared at Littlefoot for a while, wondering what he was about to say.
-
Nani laughed 'Oh poor little brat...hope she dies one less weakling in the world"
-
"Hey!" Lily called to Uzuri. "Over here, quickly!"
-
Uzuri sprinted over almost tripping over Littlefoot.
~
Nani looked around at the valley residents 'What?" she chuckled 'Never seen a child get punished before?'
-
"Not like that!" one resident shouted. "That's just... disgusting!"
-
"I was hitting her lightly..." Nani snarled.
-
"Considering she's bleeding, I highly doubt that," said Grandpa.
-
"That is called lightly in The Shadowlands" Nani snapped.
-
"Well, it's not called lightly in the Great Valley," Grandpa answered. "And right now, we're in the Great Valley."
-
Nani sighed bored "Just give me the children and we will leave you weaklings be"
-
Grandpa looked around and frowned when he didn't see Uzuri anywhere. Either way, he was not going to let the children go with these monsters.
-
Nahla was still unconscious,her face was starting to stain with blood.
Nani scoffed "Weak little brat"
-
"That... that's awful," Lily whispered from behind the bushes.
~
Meanwhile Grandma started tending to Nahla's wounds, cleaning away the blood off her face.
-
The Shadowlander longnecks started chatting to each other as black male walked forward-their leader Hades.
-
Taro and Grandpa stood their ground. Only the older of the two knew who this was but neither dared to show any fear of him.
-
"Where are they?" Hades snarled at Nani.
Nani pointed to Grandma and Nahla "They stole her off me" she faked cried.
-
Grandma scoffed at this. "I think it's called helping," she said before going back to tending Nahla's wounds. She had a quick look around, trying to spot another longneck. "Where's Uzuri?" she asked.
-
Nani rolled her eyes "You tell me"
-
"You're her mother, you should know," Grandma snapped.
-
"Don't remind me...she a disgusting creature" Nani shuddered
-
Grandma glared at her before turning away in disgust.
-
"Whats up with you old woman?" Hades taunted with a smile.
-
"Don't talk to my wife like that, " Grandpa snarled.
-
"Try and stop me" Hades challenged
-
"Fine," Grandpa growled.
-
Moaning and sobbing could be heard as Nahla awoke,she was dazed and confused.
-
"Nahla! Are you all right? " Grandma cried, getting more and more worried about what the Shadowlanders would do.
-
Nahla nodded looking around she suddenly froze when she saw Hades,you could see the fear fill her eyes.
-
Lily tensed up when she saw Hades; now realising where she had seen the pink longneck before. She and Taro had accidentally stumbled upon the Shadowlanders once, and they were very lucky to get out alive.
~
Grandma just kept Nahla close, she was willing to put up a fight to keep Nahla amd Uzuri in thr Great Valley.
-
Nani snarled "Give her back"(
-
Grandma noticed the fear in Nahla's eyes. "Never," she growled.
-
Nani growled "Now "
-
"No," Grandma answered sternly.
-
"Why not?!!" Nani demanded
-
"Because I know what you'll do to them," said Grandma, "and I'm not going to allow it."
-
Nahla was. terrified she was sobbing heavily.
-
Grandma nuzzled Nahla gently. "It's going to be okay," she promised.
-
"Where is Uzuri?" Nahla asked trembling "I want her here"
-
"I don't know," said Grandma sadly.
-
Nahla shook harder as Hades starting walking towards her.
"Come daughter" the male snarled "Now or you'll get the stick" he said picking up a stick covered in thorns.
-
Grandma just looked in horror at the thorny stick.
"You can't be serious!" she exclaimed.
-
Hades laughed "Oh I am" he said before bringing it.down.on Nahla hard.
-
The old female was furious. She pushed Hades away with all of her might.
-
nahla screamed as blood poured from where she was hit.
Hades stumbled back which angered nani greatly.
"How dare you" the female snarled.
-
Grandpa soon took over, standing protectively in front of his mate. He looked with disgust at the two.
Lily came out of the bushes. "Hey!" she shouted to Nahla.
-
"What you looking at" Hades snarled at Grandpa.
Nahla got up and limped slowly over to Lily.
-
"Just leave the children alone," Grandpa answered calmly.
Lily quickly ushered Nahla into the bushes, horrified at what she had just witnessed.
-
"Not till they're dead" Hades threatened before storming off with his herd following him.
Nahla collapsed,the wound from the stick clearly visible she looked ready to just give up and die.
-
Everyone fell silent. Nobody was sure what to say any more, too petrified to open their mouths after Hades' threat.
Grandma was the one who broke the silence. "We have to find the children," she said quietly.
Lily quickly ran off to get treestars to cover Nahla's wounds. She didn't bother with getting any help.
-
Nahla eyed Lily trembling but she was even more scared of Littlefoot.
Littlefoot walked up to her "It's okay-" he started saying but was cut of by Nahla screaming,she was just terrified of males.
-
Taro sharply turned his head towards where he had heard the scream, and Grandma quickly rushed over.
"I'd probably back off if I were you!" Lily yelled over the screaming.
-
Littlefoot slowly backed off feeling bad.
Nahla whimpered eyeing Littlefoot in complete terror.
-
"Don't worry about it," Lily said to him. "I guess she just doesn't like boys too much."
Grandma quickly poked her head through the bushes, sighing with relief when she saw the kids there. "There you are," she said.
-
"She's terrified of them" Uzuri explained "Only males she ever knew was Dad and our brother. Dad abused her and our brother bullied her so she thinks all males are like that" she looked down at her young sister sadly before glancing over and spotting Grandma "Hi!"she forced a smile.
-
"Hi..." Grandma's face of relief soon turned to one of horror when she saw just how injured Nahla was.
-
Nahla rose her head to look at Grandma but soon dropped it again closing her eyes-she had given up.
-
Lily went over and started tending to Nahla as Grandma couldn't get through the thick foliage the children were sheltered in. The old female could only watch helplessly as she did so.
-
Littlefoot sighed sadly he felt like he caused this.
-
Grandma looked over to her grandson and motioned at him to go to her. She looked as if she was about to cry after that encounter.
-
Littlefoot stood up and walked forward stopping in the middle between Nahla and Grandma he looked at both in turn jumping when Nahla once again screamed at him.
-
Lily immediately tried to calm her down.
"Go," she said to Littlefoot.
-
Littlefoot nodded and backed away towards Grandma.
Nahla panted completely terrified
-
When Littlefoot reached her, Grandma pulled him close as tears fell down her face.
"It's okay," Lily said quietly. "He's not going to hurt you."
-
Uzuri walked over to her sister "It's okay Nahla..it's okay" she said nuzzling Nahla gently.
Littlefoot sighed feeling upset,he was just trying to be friends.
-
Lily decided to leave Nahla with Uzuri for now and went over to reunite with Taro. She passed Littlefoot on the way and gave him a reassuring smile.
-
Uzuri looked at the wound on Nahla's back and sighed she felt she failed to protect her.
-
Grandma wanted to quickly check on them, but for now, she was too preoccupied with keeping Littlefoot as her close comfort. Any encounter with Hades and Nani was terrifying, and while she was able to stand her ground while they were there, she had now broken down entirely.
-
Littlefoot leaned into Grandma he was also shaken,seeing what they did to Nahla terrified him.
-
Grandpa decided to join them in a group cuddle. Unlike his mate and grandson, he seemed more calm about the situation, but that isn't to say that the encounter with the Shadowlanders didn't scare him, too.
Taro lay down and snuggled with Lily for what seemed like an eternity, as bad memories from his previous encounter with the Shadowlanders came rushing back to him.
-
Nahla started screaming as a she heard a three-horn coming.
Mr Threehorn was walking to the Shadowlander children an angered look on his face,he thought they were the cause of all this.
-
Grandma immediately broke the cuddle to see what was up with the screaming. She frowned when she saw Mr Threehorn approaching the children.
-
Even Uzuri was terrified this time,the 2 sisters huddled up together.
Mr Threehorn looked like he was getting ready to charge at the Shadowlander children.
-
(Guess who?)
Meanwhile Ricky and Zimba arrived outside the valley,unaware of the drama going on inside.
-
(Welcome back, Zimmy! :D)
Grandma put herself in between Mr Threehorn and the longneck children.
"What are you up to now?" she asked coldly, really not in the mood for yet another argument with the hot-headed threehorn.
-
"Getting rid of these Shadowlanders!" Mr Threehorn shoutd.
Nahla whimpered and began to cry,she was terrified.
-
Zimba and Ricky glanced at each other "Hello?" Zimba called out hoping for a response still not aware of what was going on.
-
Nobody in the valley seemed to hear Zimba, too caught up in the drama.
"Just leave them alone!" Grandma yelled back at him. "They've done nothing wrong!"
-
Mr Threehorn ignored her and charged ramming into Nahla with enough force it sent her flying into a rock knocking her unconscious.
-
Soon the other longnecks joined Grandma, Taro going over to Nahla.
"That's enough, Mr Threehorn," said Grandpa. He tried to keep the calmness in his voice, but anyone could tell that he was furious. He got in the way of the old threehorn, trying to prevent any more damage from being done.
-
Nahla's face was pale and the wound on her head looked pretty serious.
Uzuri backed up as Mr Threehorn tried to get around Grandpa and to her.
-
"HELLO!" Zimba pretty much screamed across the valley.
-
Everyone seemed to hear this time but were too preoccupied with the current situation. Taro started to tend to Nahla's wounds and Grandpa kept getting in the way of Mr Threehorn as Grandma quickly picked up Uzuri to take her out of his reach.
Lily, however, got away from the scene and headed towards where she had heard the voice. "Hello?" she called.
-
Zimba stared down at Lily "What do you want you little brat? Get us an adult"he said throwing his head back.
-
Lily scoffed. "That's nice," she said sarcastically. "Just so you know, most of the adults are a bit preoccupied at the moment. There's been a bit of an... incident."
-
Uzuri whined and looked over to her motionless sister "Is she dead?" she whispered.
Mr Threehorn stomped his foot "MOVE!'
-
"No," Grandma said, although she wasn't sure herself.
"Just stop," Grandpa snarled at the threehorn. "Leave the children alone."
-
Mr Threehorn huffed and swiped at a large stone which hit Littlefoot in the face.
-
Zimba snarled "I don't care you little pest" he shoved past her and waked into the valley,Ricky following him.
