What is the best way to learn a language (not just Russian) in your opinion?

I am not sure I understood the question.
I learned English, for example, in school, in university, and through thousands hours of reading foreign forums, books, playing games, watching movies and cartoons.
But what is "the best" method - I have no idea.

What was your experience like when you were taking English classes in school/university? Was it an effective way of learning English for you?

It definitelly helped me in some way. Basic knowledge - I received it there.

If somebody gave you a book to translate then how hard or long would it take for you to translate an English book into Russian?

judging by some fanfiction I translated from English to Russian - standard 100,000 pages book would take many months to translate properly.

I read the book We which has multiple releases from Russin to English translators. How long do you think it would have taken to translate 225 pages from Russian into English from centuries old texts?

It took not so long.
Ih first year of high school, I already chose my future work, and personal priorities.
