Not sure if this is the right place... but I was just wondering if anyone is going to do the National Novel Writing Month challenge this year?
http://www.nanowrimo.org/ (http://www.nanowrimo.org/)
It's not really a contest... more of a challenge really. The objective? 50,000 words in 30 days, starting from November 1st to the 30th.

Bumping an old topic.
I'm pretty sure there's another topic about NaNoWrimo. I just don't know where it is.
Anyway, I participated last year and reached the goal within the month. This year I'm entering again, this time rewriting last year's story from the beginning. I have just under 2,000 words so far.

I planned on participating this year, but I really can't see myself actually finding the time to do it. I have so much stuff to do for this month alone that I don't think I would be able to sit down and actually right something down.

I honestly am not very confident in writing for this. Part of it isn't confidence related, it's just what is a priority for me and this NaNoWriMo isn't a priority at the moment.
Good luck to those who do write for it though. :yes

I would do this, but all of my writing would violate copyright laws as they are AU stories. I'm not sure AU stories or fanfics could be used .

From what I heard, you can use fanfiction in NaNoWrimo. I haven't heard otherwise. I think original stories are encouraged more, though.

Yeah, it was one of my topics. Whatever. This one works too.
Like last year, I'm doing it again, where I hope to retain my 100% success rate. This year's story will be a sequel to last year's, revolving around the protagonist's younger brother and his best friend. I'm at 3400 words, right on schedule for day 2.

I finished the 50,000 words for NaNoWrimo earlier today.
