Who really wants to see the books, such as the illustrated story, which has scenes not in the movie? I even want to see inside this---

Can you believe it? A Dr. Seuss style book based on LBT!! I took a look at the preview and it was really sweet looking. I'd like to see the rest of it, and the whole illustrated story. Alas, I can't find it anywhere on the net, and I'm not gonna just go buying it---at least not the Dr. Seuss one.

I took the liberty to change the title from "Am I the only one..." to "Land before time books" so people seeing the title would see what the thread is about.
The book you mentioned in your preceding post tells the story of the original movie in simple verses. It is a somewhat wattered down version though. Neither Littlefoot's mother, nor the quarrel between Littlefoot and Cera are really mentioned.

Are there other part of the movie (like outcut scenes) that are explained in the book or is just a melted down version of the original movie?

The later. This book isn't much of a revealation about any scenes.

I've double checked it this morning and - unfortunately - there are no LBT books in the bookstore retail network I work for. Come to think of it, I'm not sure if they ever released any here, in Russia. :(

This sounds soooo good...showing the birth from the mom's point of view? Awesome! I'd love to see inside of it; if someone could upload screenshots if they have a copy...

Found this book from the release year on the finnish "ebay", some kind of package originally supplied with a audio cassette. I bidded it, lets see what it holds :p

Believe-it-or-not, I actually own that book. Unfortunately, it is located in my apartment in China, and currently, I have no access to it.
From my recollections, though, I do remember that it was a rather short book. Like Malte said, the story is watered-down. The book includes nothing that wasn't in the movie.
When I go back to China this summer, I'll try to scan a copy for you guys, but that will probably have to wait til September.

It looks very much like the book is a Finnish translation of the book "Friends in Need", but I haven't so far heard of an audio version of the book. Can you tell us what the Finnish title translates to Pikkutassu? :)

"Music story The Land Before Time" (or literally, The land in the beginning of times :p)
In the bottom it says "Watch pictures, Listen to the story, Read the book"

There's a chance that he hasn't received the book yet, as the auction ended on 18th of December. With all the holidays and days when post isn't delivered, and possible delays in bank transfer, I wouldn't be surprised.

For some reason, the tar monster thing wasn't included in the book. I really don't know why. The book seems to have completely bypassed that scene.
