Trust me, this is a must for any adictive reader!

I've only read three of the books so far

Redwall (the first and original)
Mariel of Redwall
and Martin the Warrior (saddest ending ever!)

each book has brought tears to my eyes. And who could resist a good book about sword brandishing mice and evil rat overlords?

and....

KILLER BADGERS!

All I remember about these books is that they were popular around the third grade.  Then there was no one that liked them anymore.  I never read any of the books.  Too busy studying computer repair guide books. :lol

I've read most books in the series except for the last three releases or so.  What makes it hard to want to pick up the last few is the fact that Jacques refuses to change his formula....there are certain species that are always good and always bad...no inbetweens.  He came close with the Outcast of Redwall and Taggerung, but the decent ferret and villan otter didn't last long.  Its gotten too black and white for my liking.  The earliest stuff is the best, before this "formula" was really utilized.

Redwall, Mossflower, Martin the Warrior, Marlfox, Outcast of Redwall, and Taggerung are my favorites.  I wished the Long Patrol was more about the creation of the hare fighter squad but it wasn't. :(
