Nala began walking back to the den when she spotted her mate, a small smile spread across her face as she slowly walked up to Simba and Zazu. "Morning, Simba. Morning, Zazu." she sat down near them "How are things this morning? No hyenas? No one trying to take over the kingdom?" she chuckled and lay on her side "I'll give the rest of the lionesses a bit more time then I'll take out a hunting party."

She glanced at Zazu playfully "Or we could always just eat Zazu." she flicked her tail at a fly that had been bothering her "Have you seen Vitani, by the way? She was gone when I left so were those cubs she cares for."

Nala awoke, the creamy lioness yawned as she stretched before standing on all four paws. Slowly as to not wake her still sleeping pridemates, she stepped down from the small rise where the royal family slept. The Pridelands current Queen stepped out into the sunlight to greet the start of a new day, she sat down on the tip of Pride Rock looking over the land Simba and her rule, and one day Kiara and Kovu.

She chuckled quietly to herself remembering when she herself first became Queen like it was yesterday, after Simba won back the kingdom from his uncle Scar. Standing back up she starting descending the slop down to go for a drink, the lionesses ears flickered catching the sound of a bird suddenly flying out of a nearby bush, the sound of Zebras calling each other ahead of her.

Upon reaching the waterhole she dipped her head down and drank her fill before lifting her head once more water dripping of her chin. Quickly she wiped it with her paw and sighed happily, ever since Zira has been gone life has once again become peaceful. She just hoped the pride didn't have to go through that again, once was more then enough.

So no real set plot? Honestly I feel it would be best bet to have least a basic plot line or everyone will just run around doing their own thing and there will be no real story.

And I find plotless stories to be boring to be honest, if it's just a short RP some friends and I do on Skype then no plot is fine with me since we're just RPing a randomly made up character out of boredom, but if the RP is meant to be longterm, I prefer a story or I get easily bored.

Of course it's your RP and your choice, but from Roleplaying on other websites like Feral Heart for one most Roleplays without plots never last long. Of course theres expectations for everything it's just something I noticed.

Customized headcollar for my horse with his name on it..yeah I waste money..but his old one was daggy

Buddy doing fine, considering. He is on a special diet to re-gain his weight without shocking the system and having him colic on us.

He also had a heavy worm burden so that also had to be dealt with, I doubt this people even knew horses needed to be wormed, the part that really makes me smile that the people who had him have to pay back the owner all cost it takes to get Buddy back up to health, his teeth need floating down, plus he had a bit of Thrush in his hooves, but he'll be fine.

He won't be ridden until sometime next year, and even then it'll be slowly bringing him back into work. I decided I will adopt him when he is ready, already put my name down for him I was looking for a second horse since I'll be getting my own land (currently 'rent' a pasture someone else owns) and my horse will need a companion, he stays with two other horses whose owners rent the pasture as well right now and really want to get out of public pasture, I am so sick of people using my stuff without asking. Everything from brushes to my saddle and feed, buy your own feed mate. Plus it would be nice to be able to walk out my back door and see my horses when I want right now I have to drive 15-20 minutes. Not really a farm, just a house and a few acres and I'll get a shelter put up.

Just hoping I never run into that lady, I won't be able to resist punching her in the face for doing that to Buddy, I have no respect for animal and child abusers. Wherever they physically beat the animal/child or just plain neglect.

All this could of been avoided if the lady just bought him back, she didn't even really own Buddy he was a lease horse he belonged to someone else.  The lease was set up so the leasers can back out anytime, but nooo. Guess it was easier to dump him a field and leave him to fend for himself. Cause it's not like phones exist to call the owner if she can come collect him.

I remember at a Sydney beach, can't remember what one (not Bondi though) there was a whole bunch of Box Jellyfish lumped together. They had to block that whole area off, I can't for the life of me remember what beach since it was 5 or 6 years ago, I just remember being terrified of them. To be safe,  Vinegar will be carried on the boat to pour on the stings until the person reaches the nearest hospital, though of course a First-Aid kit will be aboard with some anti-venom, but if the worse happens it good to have a plan in place. Like the day-long horse rides I go on, we gotta carry Eastern Brown snake anti-venom with us since they are very common in my own area.  Never seen anyone get bitten, but better safe then sorry. Though they mostly leave people alone unless provoked.

I'm sure I'll be fine though, if I see something dangerous I'll leave it alone. After all I'm the one in their home. Might snap a quick picture then be on my way.

On the 15th I'll be heading off to the Great Barrier Reef, so excited the GBR is so beautiful.

I'll have an underwater camera, so I'll take photos and spam you guys with them. I'm hoping to find at least one Clownfish so I can say I found Nemo (don't judge me). Just hoping I don't get stung by a Stonefish or something, they'll be terrible cause those things are venomous as hell.

I am looking forward to seeing all the different marine life, just the venomous ones can stay far far away from me, thank you. Like Blue-ringed octopus, those things are freaky..and deadly..nope for me.

Also supposed to go in one of those cage things and get up close with a shark (with an expert with me of course) but lets see how close I let the shark get before running screaming back to the boat, shall we?

I will join as Nala. Pretty busy until New Year traveling out of the state and back then to Sydney hbut I'll have my phone on me to make a post or two as needed since the places I'm going have Wifi. After New Year I'll be able to be more active in it, just Christmas/New Year always busy for me.

Do you have a plot or is it just life in the pride?

I just need to vent about this a little bit because it pissed me off so much I need to let it out.

I volunteer at a horse rescue and some of the horses we get there have been very abused and neglected, some are surrenders and we also re-train retired racehorses to be pleasure mounts.

One of my favorite horses is a ex-racehorse gelding named Buddy, he is super sweet I love him. He had been at the rescue for about a year when a lady and her daughter came to the rescue looking for a horse, Buddy was perfect for them. The owner of the rescue went out and checked their land though it was 2 towns over she always wants the best for horses, it seemed perfect, they seemed perfect so she let Buddy go on lease clearly stating if they ever need to return him Buddy will always be welcomed back.

For a while it was great, the people leasing Buddy called and gave updates, sent photos and Buddy was perfectly happy there it seemed. I was so happy he was adopted as that meant we had more room to help other horses that needed it.

However soon the owners went dead, the owner tried ringing them but their number was disconnected. Frustrated she drove up there on Saturday to where there land was since she was going there anyway, and there was Buddy.

Skin and bones, standing in a field of mud with no grass, the fencing was broken and to top it off, the headcollar was growing into his face they made it way too tight.

The owner called the police, and since she was the rightful owner she got to take Buddy and bring him back, the leasers daughter it seems 'lost interest' and the mother couldn't afford to care for him anyway. The mother was charged with animal neglect.

If they could not afford him, why on earth did they just not bring him back. Why leave him to suffer like that? Also why on earth did you get a horse if you were not prepared to pay for it. Horses are big expensive animals, they are not a goldfish, they are not a budgie. They are horses.

Needless to say, the lady is now not only blocked from adopting a horse but from adopting any animal in the area including dogs, cats etc.

If you 'rescue' an animal and then give it an awful life, did you really rescue it or did you just make it worse? The latter, if I got a dog from the shelter that was going to be put then tied it in my backyard never feed it and just beat, did I really save it? Nope.

Buddy is now starting rehabilitation. I'm seriously tempted to adopt him myself and put him in my pasture with my horse, Skittles.

I find it stupid we need a licence to drive a car, ID to buy alcohol yet anyone can just take on a living animal without any requirements just because they want one.

Can someone invent an animal licence please.

LBT Projects / GoF Singing Project reloaded?
« on: November 23, 2015, 02:30:51 AM »
I'll be in, even though chances are everyone will laugh at my 'singing'.

I'll need to practice whatever verse I'm meant to sing to try and get into tune or it will just sound silly. So whenever it starts just send me my singing lines so I can practice them to the music.

My schedule is a bit crazy right now as it's end of year exams at Uni, but I'm not too busy that I won't be able to record a singing clip.

Silver Screen / Well, Pan sucked.
« on: October 11, 2015, 11:22:15 PM »
I haven't seen the movie, only previews of it while going to see other movies. Course I can't exactly judge from previews but from the Previews they did show it did seem over the top and silly. But that just be me already sick of the movie since I was forced to look at a projected theater poster of it for 8 minutes while cinema sounds played in the background.

When it comes out on DVD may rent it just to check it out, but seems they kiddy-fied it to much, I get it's a PG rating but seriously, it seems like a good chance missed. Like War Horse..could of made an epic war film from the horses point of view, but instead it was kiddy-fied and almost laughable. Much as I love horses and horse movies, I had to force myself to watch that one to the end.

Pan seems like another Pixels to me, a lot of hype but in the end flops.

Gamers Zone / Whatcha playin'?
« on: October 06, 2015, 03:22:41 AM »
Since Civilization IV  seems to be quite popular among some GoF members I hopped on to Steam and bought it to try for myself.

..and I'm hooked.

I actually never normally play these kind of games, but I'm loving it. It's fun to rule an entire nation with the choice to wipe out other nations or live in peace with them, to be a good leader or to be a total jerk and start wars randomly..hmm..choices.

I swear I'm always going 'Just-one-more-turn' and that 'one more turn' turns into another hour of playing.

One day, when I know what I'm doing and don't suck. I might even try the multiplayer mode, I can destroy the nations of people I have never met, awesome.

Game is sorta hard, but I'm slowly learning what I'm meant to do.

I'm also wondering what kind of girl plays Civilization in the first place, well besides me but I'm not a normal girl to begin with. I'm sure there is some girl players out there, it just this genre isn't really a thing lots of girls go for. Though the games targeted for girls suck most the time, like Fashion Designing, Babysitting, Dressing up some kind of animals in stupid outfits. Is that really what game developers think ALL girls like?

Anyway, I currently have a serve case of "one more turn" syndrome..send help please.

The Fridge / The Lion Guard: Kiara's New Voice
« on: October 05, 2015, 02:46:10 AM »
Well The Lion King 2 did come out in 1998 and if Kiara is meant to be a cub in this 'Lion Guard' then her original cub voice actor Michelle Horn, is much older now. She is 28, even if they did get her back she'll still sound different.

I don't care that much anyway, it's a low-budget spin-off series aimed at young children. I don't plan to ever watch it, so who voices who does not bother me.

From the preview clips I seen it doesn't even seem to have anything to do with The Lion King storyline, seems to me they just used The Lion King title and characters to bring it more money, take away The Lion King characters and title and nothing will be different.

Plus the 'Hyenas' look like the cross between a warthog and a mutated dog, but hey least they can animate. I can't.

Then again, don't know what I was expecting from a Disney Junior show.

The Fridge / Disney Dissapointment
« on: September 01, 2015, 02:03:11 AM »
Mind if I have my say?

In my opinion, The Lion King 2 was a terrible letdown compared to the original. I don't hate it both I don't find it as enjoyable either.

Also at the end of the first movie, Simba and Nala had a cub. The start of TLK we meet Kiara, a different cub with a different ceremony. What happened to the first cub? Did they forgot it existed or something?

Kiara to me seemed really naive and trusting random strangers way to quickly, what a  coincidence the stranger you met once in your childhood and from the pride yours does not trust happened to be there when you're trapped in a fire that came from nowhere, totally not related. Nope.

You know the saying, they kiss you before they screw you. Just because someone is nice, doesn't mean you should trust them. But it's a family movie with young children watching so really should not expect logic.

In way, I'm kinda Kiara with my father being overprotective about who I hang out with even know I'm an adult now everytime I meet someone new he has to meet them to to make sure I'm hanging out with 'the right people'. Heck, I wasn't even allowed to be alone with a boy until I was 17 and only if my father approved of him. Annoying? Yes very, but he is just trying to protect me from making a horrible mistake. I'll rather an overprotective father who does that, then one who dares not care what I do and in the end I'm the one who will suffer from it due to my parents not being parents and teaching me better. Well mostly now they let me make my own choices, but when it comes to choosing my friends, they still treat me like a child.

To me, Kiara was being a bit selfish. Something did not go her way so she ran away, abandoning her pride and her family even though they were just trying to protect her, and telling Simba "You'll never be Mufasa!" seemed a little harsh to me, even Simba looked stunned.

And it is stated, Kovu is not Scar's son. So where did he come from? If he was born in the Pridelands (stated "he was the last born before you exiled us to the outlands!") then who else could the father be? Scar was the only male at that time before Simba took over. And that also brings up the question of Nala's father....

As for The Lion Guard, I care less about it. To me it seems more like a spin-off series then continue on the actual movies, I consider it more AU then anything.
