Grrrr....  :anger  :anger We'll get you Canada!  Remember you're just our hat!

Haha, I'm just joking.  It was an exciting game to the end and I'm not disappointed about how it turned out.

Oh boy. The Caribbean is a dangerous place to be now  .
I say that they evacuate everyone in the next island that looks like it'll suffer a quake.
Well its really impossible to predict earthquakes, and Chile is a continental country on the Pacific coast of South America, not an island in the Caribbean.  But anyway, at least it doesn't seem to have caused damage anywhere near the scale of the Haiti quake, and so far the biggest wave spotted is only 7.7 ft tall so it looks like it isn't nearly as bad as it could have been

Cera watched Hunter and Luna walk off before gazing back at the quickly darkening sky.  thats strange, there aren't any clouds but there seems to be a lot fewer stars out she thought to herself, wondering if it had anything to do with the falling rocks.  Cera didn't want to go back in the cave so she decided to lay down at a spot just out side of the cave entrance, telling herself that she would keep guard but in reality she wanted to cry herself to sleep without anyone noticing.

Ali walked up to Littlefoot and laid down next to the long neck, quickly dozing off.

Male!  Although I have been told I act strangely female while online, I know somebody here thought I was a girl in my earlier days on GOF.

Cera listened closely to Luna's words.  "Well in the end its up to you Luna.  As much as your dad wants to be in control of your life he is ultimately not.  But be careful how you go about it.  I finally left the nest after a huge fight with my father, we never exchanged more then a few words since" the three horn finished as she stared blankly at the setting sun.  "I guess he's probably dead now..." she trailed off, kicking a small stone in front of her.

By the way, does every state which does not have a specific law against private ownership of nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons permit for the keeping and bearing (not using) them on the basis of the 2nd amendment? It does not specify which weapons one may keep and bear after all seeing that canon were pretty much the most effective weapon of mass destruction at the time.
I've  always wondered that.  What if I built a nuclear bomb (the only really difficult part is enriching uranium)?  Could I legally keep it?

"Nah Ruby, but could you get Tricia to sleep for me?  There's something I have to do"  Cera said as she walked away.  The Three horn walked towards Sweetie, Zaine and Luna.  "Hey, you did good today.  I see you're having some issues with your father, and..." Cera paused for a moment, "I guess I would be the expert on that" she finished as she took a seat next to Luna, staring out at the darkening sky.

The Fridge / Food in American high schools
« on: February 16, 2010, 02:01:28 AM »
Its been a good year now but I remember high school lunch.  You could bring lunch with you but the cafeteria was open from 1st period till the end of 7th period, although some friends who are still their say it now remains open until half an hour after school ended.  When I was a freshmen the food was horrible for you, but absolutely delicious.  Oh how I miss those french fries.... :cry .  Starting in my sophomore year our school adopted what is called the Wellness policy, I'm not sure if they were forced to by law or not.  Essential all kinds of limits on things like calories, fat, sodium, ect. were put in place.  All kinds of bread were replaced with whole wheat (including burger buns and even pizza), a salad bar was added, things like that.  Essentially offering a healthier variety of foods.  There is a decent selection, they have burgers, pizza, calzones, certain pre-made sandwiches, and of course the salad bar.  Everyday there was a special lunch that rotated on a regular basis.  Also they had a mini-deli style thing where you could get sandwiches or wraps made to order.  There was also a variety of snacks such as cookies, some ice cream, pretzels, fruit smoothies, all of it usually of the low fat variety.  Hope that helped!

Edit: Oh, and as for price, it varied but most of the food was cheaper then you would find it outside of school.  Maybe 10%-20% cheaper then an equivalent item in the real world.

Haha, well yep, I'm a New Yorker all my life.  And it is true that the North and South feel almost like different countries so I'm not sure how the war is viewed down there.

I'm not sure what those books were telling you Malte but there isn't much of a profound interest in the Civil War here.  In fact to me it seems to be the least mentioned American war.  Its simply not a hot topic, or at least that what it seems through my eyes.  In fact your the only person I've come across who's actually mentioned its upcoming 150th anniversary.

Thanks everybody!  Yes I have been here for a year but for me its actually felt a lot shorter then that, I guess thats just because 2009 was a really good year for me.  And as for TEB, I'm working on it but I procrastinate a lot so don't worry Pangaea, I haven't forgotten.
