I know it¥s much for the beginning. But I¥d like to get comments if possible. I am very open to critism too ;-)
Chapter 1
–Good night my little swimmer“, said the swimmermother to her son. He looked up to her and said: “Good night, I love you”. She pushed her face against his and went away. “Isn¥t it surprising, how fast he grows?”, asked the swimmermother the swimmerfather. “Yes, it is indeed”, he answered and pushed his neck against hers. “He¥ll become an excellent swimmer, our swimmer.”
Next day
“Good morning my sweetheart, stand up”. “Oh no, mum please, not yet, I am so tired.” Ecco turned and yawned. His mother licked him with her tongue over his back and face.” Ecco gave a smile and stood up. “Okey”, he growned. “If it has to be. I am hungry mother.” “Here Ecco, I picked up these treestars early in the morning. They are still juicy from the dew.” The little swimmer attacked the treestars and began to eat. Don¥t take on too much, or you¥ll become sick.” With that she turned away from Ecco and went to his father. He ate some treestars too at the moment. As he noticed her he went to her and asked how Ecco is doing. “He is fine. I am really happy that we finally found a place to stay, after such a long time.” “Yes, that’s right my dear. We have enough to eat and to drink. And the river, which is flowing through the valley is perfect to swim in.” They began to laugh.
“Hmm”, Ecco thought. “These treestars taste good”. Ecco enjoyed eating all the treestars. Than he went in the direction to his parents. He didn’t really know where his parents were, so he used his sniffer to find them. After a short time, he found them. They laid side by side and enjoyed the rising of the bride circle. Ecco went to them and jumped on his mothers back. She yelled and jumped up. “Ecco,… you shocked me.” She said, but gave a smile to show him, that she wasn’t angry. “You have to be more careful mother. I could have been a sharptooth as well”, Ecco said and went down from her. “Yes, I guess you are right dear. Even from you I can learn in my age.” She rubbed her face at his and looked up. “Isn’t the rising of the bride circle wonderful? “Of course”, Eccos father said. “It is beautiful, again and again.” They sat there for a very long time and looked up to the sky. After some time, Ecco began to get agitated. His mother noticed and asked for the reason. “It¥s…, nothing. I am just a bit…bored.” He looked aggrieved to the ground, because he knew, that his parents enjoyed the rising of the bride circle, and he didn’t want to contaminate them this moment. Eccos mother looked with an asking look to swimmerfather. But he looked with an even more asking look back. “Than let¥s play hide and see”, Eccos mother suggested. “Oh yes”, Ecco shouted. “That¥s a great idea.” “But we need someone who starts”, said his father. “How about you”, his mother asked. He groaned, but admitted than. “Well than, hide yourself, I¥ll count til 20. 1, 2, 3, 4, ……..18, 19, 20. Okay, I am coming.”
Ecco searched fevered for a hiding place. Although there were enough good hiding places, there wasn¥t one, which he thought would be good enough. But than, a big brushwood passed his eyes. “That should fit”, Ecco thought. “The brushwood is almost 4 times bigger as my father. There he won¥t find me for sure.” Ecco ran towards the brushwood and jumped behind. Short after he heart, that his dad found his mum. He waited some minutes and asked hisself yet, if his father gave up. Suddenly he smelt an offensive smell and felt warm air in his neck. He knew for sure that this was his father who just wanted to play a joke at him. But since what time he smelt like this? He turned around to take his father by surprise, but was afraid as he saw what was standing in front of him. He stumbled backwards and felt. Before he even knew what that creature was, he screamed out, turned around and ran away.
He could hear the shouting of the creature behind him, which followed him with thundering steps. “Heeeelllppp!!!! Mum, Dad!!” “ Oh no. That is our son”, yelled the swimmermother. “Than we gotta help him”, Eccos father yelled back. “Fast, comme…..”. His voice suddenly broke as he saw that his son has been chased by a sharptooth. He didn¥t think much and began to run, Eccos mother behind him. Ecco tried to escape, but there wasn¥t any solution. As he tried to trick the sharptooth with jumping from the left to the right side, as he was running, he felt. He was shivering at his whole body and had fear of death. The sharptooth came closer and closer to Ecco, who was still shivering, stopped and wanted to snap after him. But short before he could do that, Eccos father through hisself with all the weight he had against the face of the sharptooth. The crash through Eccos father against a wall. He was a bit bizzy for a short time and tried to struggle to his feet again. But than he felt a stabbing pain in his leg. He broke his leg. The sharptooth came towards him and the father knew, that this would be the last he would ever see. He still tried to get up, strained his eyes and brought up all his strength to try to get up again. But it didn¥t help. As he opened the eyes again he looked straight into the mouth of the sharptooth. The next moment he felt awful, hot pain, which was caused by the sharp teeth of the sharptooth, which drilled themselves in the swimmers neck. The sharptooth sheared Eccos father around until the body of the swimmer flagged. Ecco and his mother watched with tears in their eyes what happened. Ecco ran behind a bush, crouched hisself down and cried about that what happened. He couldn¥t believe that he lost his father right now. His mother had a feeling like she would have been smacked down. She never felt something like that before. It felt like two claws drilled themselves in her chest and tried to shear her heart. But this feeling became pushed away from the anger, which brew in her stomach. And in her angryness she did a big mistake. She ran towards the sharptooth and through all her weight against his feet. The sharptooth gave a big Rooaar. Than he felt and buried the face of Eccos mother under his heavy body. One could hear a loud “Knack”. And than, for a long time nothing more happened.
Ecco looked out of his hiding place. He saw, that there wasn¥t any rescue for his parents, which are devoured by the sharptooth at this moment. From his father were just a few tetters of meat and bones left. And the face from his mother was totally crashed. Ecco, slowly began to understand that he wouldn¥t have parents any longer. In the valley he wouldn¥t be save now. He knew that for sure. So, with tears in his eyes, and as quiet as he could he tried to escape from the sharptooth without getting noticed. He managed to do it, because the sharptooth was still eating his parents. As the sharptooth was out of sight Ecco ran crying away, trying to ignore the pain in his belly. He ran and ran, far out, in the endless nothing of the desert.
