!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aaaa-a-a-ah! This rainbow swimmer is kinda flipping out in excitement, hehe-hahaha! :Mo :Mo :olittlefoot

Why, yo-o-ou may ask? All credit goes to Disneysaurus of LBT wiki, and also, thank you to @Mr. Clubtail for sharing the Ebay link auction listing on the LBT wiki (Disneysaurus shared with him prior).

Disneysaurus found the original final draft of the Land Before Time 3: Time of Great Giving movie, which seems to have been written on April 5th, 1994 according to the photo of the first page shown. There are multiple previews of what the script looks like, which can be found on the Ebay listing below.

LAND BEFORE TIME III: Time of Great Giving (4/5/94) Universal Animation Final++

With the images that can be found at the link above, there is one important discrepancy that Mo-o-o-o wants to point out here in the first picture shown (if you haven't noticed yet):

Instead of saying "Land Before Time III" as you may expect at the top of the front page of the script, it says "Land Before Time IV" instead. Peculiar, right? Mo-o-o had suspicions of the authenticity of the script, but @StardustSoldier assured me that it is probably legit. Since I don't have much understanding of this, he gladly agreed to help me explain why the title is listed differently in this original final draft script.

========

Edit: Thank yo-o-ou to @Sneak for a proper explanation of why the first page of the final draft script would show "Land Before Time IV" instead of "Land Before Time III" as expected.

Originally 3rd was 4th and 4th was 3rd, according to some storyboards.

Edit 2: Thank yo-o-ou to @RainbowFaceProtege for pointing out that the same seller on Ebay also has another script up for auction. This time, it is an early draft for the script of the first Land Before Time movie! Littlefoot was still referred to as "Thunderfoot" in this script compared to the final version. :olittlefoot

How cool! :RubyCurious

The same seller also has an early script from the original LBT film, too! With Littlefoot's name as "Thunderfoot!"

Here's a cleaner link to that Ebay listing for that LBT 1 script.
LAND BEFORE TIME (BEGAN) (4/23/87) Early Title 64p. Hand-Stamped Numbers + COA!

And thank you as well for bringing Mr. Clubtail's wiki post about the script to my attention. I highly doubt I would've noticed it in time otherwise.
 :Mo

Well this is a bit speculative on my part. But I think that certain movie ideas got changed around in the LBT production queue. They were probably originally planning something else for the third movie, and so The Time of the Great Giving was going to be the fourth movie. Which makes me wonder what the original third movie was going to be. Maybe Journey Through the Mists?

It does remind me of the original LBT 6 script. At the end of it, there's mention of the weather getting colder and snowy, which makes me think that The Big Freeze was originally planned to be the seventh movie, before it got pushed back to being the eighth.

@Sneak: Thank yo-o-ou so-o-o much for sharing that link with us! :ChomperPOG
I'll add this link you shared to the OP. This does give me faith that this should be the real deal. :D

And yeah, Mo-o-o hope so-o-o to-o-o-o! Having all of the original scripts safe and sound in the community's hand is quite vital for their preservation! :smile

@StardustSoldier:
Hmmm, fascinating. Mo-o-o wonder if this will be reflected on the titles of the final draft scripts for "The Big Freeze" movie once that script is found. :ChomperOhhh :olittlefoot :RubyCurious :petrieooohh

Wow, thank yo-o-ou a lot for pointing this out, Mu-u-ud Bro-o-other! :littlefoot :Dducky :CeraHAPPY :chompysmile
The fishy will amend my OP and add what you stated here. Also, I'll rename the thread to include the script for LBT 1 as you pointed out here as well. :)

There is also some points of interest that Mo-o-o is intrigued by. First of all, of course, as you stated, Littlefoot has his early name of "Thunderfoot" before they changed his name to what we know of today. Secondly, the title (fittingly) says "Land Before Time (Began)" which signifies the beginning of The Land Before Time franchise as know it. Thirdly, in the item description, one of the sentences says this:

Quote
An early working title for the film was The Land Before Time Began. Bluth, Spielberg and Lucas originally wanted the film to have no dialogue, like The Rite of Spring sequence in Fantasia, but the idea was abandoned in favor of using voice actors to make it appealing to children.

If this is true, it is quite a fun fact that Mo-o-o had no idea about. A movie having no dialogue would be pretty rare in the first place, right? Glad they went with the decision to have dialogue though, personally!

Fourthly, there are plenty of differences already as far as Mo-o-o can tell, between the final iteration of the movie and what is shown in the script. I invite everyone else to look at the photos at the link provided to spot them! I won't spoil it in this post. ;)

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW

It seems this version of LBT1 script is different!!!!!!!! (than one we have right now)

Date here is April 23, and script I bought in the past is from May 1987, and there's the line "BASED ON MEETING APRIL 22 AND APRIL 23", "Includes new revisions May 1" and "Includes new revisions May 11"

Thanks @RainbowFaceProtege for bringing that other script to our attention. :DD

Well I'm definitely interested in buying them, but I live in Canada and the listings say they can't ship to Canada. I just contacted the seller though to see if we can work something out. And if that fails, Impractical says he'd probably be willing to snag them. Will update again once I know more.

Yep, yep, yep. Thank yo-o-ou once again, Rainbow! :littlefoot:)
Let this be a future lesson for Mo-o-o and perhaps some others for this: Checking out the store of the seller to see if they may be selling other LBT scripts. Mo-o-o wouldn't be sure how long it would've taken before I would've noticed. :o

Anyway, I have already agreed with Stardust to help him cover the costs of the LBT 1 script. After all, the auction already starts off the pricing at a whopping $549.00! So if anyone else is interested in helping us cover some of the costs of the script, let us know! Any contribution is appreciated, no matter how small!

I would love to obtain it myself, at least one of them, if I wasn't very far away, and there wasn't delivery lockdown.

also I would love to transfer some money to some person who can (and I hope others will do it too, we have a better chances to purchase it if we combine our forces :D), but it's almost impossible for me to do due to payment lockdown as well.

Damn.

I missed the info that selling of LBT3 script will end in 3,5 days.
What will happen if nobody buys it? Will it the selling be reopen?

Let's decide what to do guys.

As I said, I would love to purchase it myself, but due to circumstances it's very hard to do, and even if I will be able to - shipment to my country is forbidden. And even if it wasn't - I'm afraid thew package can be lost in our stupid post delivery, they lost one package I ordered oversea once.

Right now I am trying to find a way to transfer a money, to help someone else to purchase it if it is possible. But anyway, here's the question: Who is willing to buy and receive it?

It will be better if we cooperate.

Let's get at least one of two scripts for the start.

These are cool finds. I reckon they will simply be relisted once the sale ends @Sneak

I will think about putting an offer in, although it's quite a lot of money for both. Can have them shipped to the Netherlands or to my boyfriend in the US so that shouldn't be an issue. I'll put a reminder on my calendar on the day it ends, to see if any offers have been made.

You’re welcome @StardustSoldier @ImpracticalDino —I always have to check the seller’s other items when one of these listings comes up, because I’m always hoping to see some LBT 7 drafts! (Someday…)

It’s too bad these scripts are so pricey… :rhett_ohsnap But yeah, I don’t even know if anyone other than us is really looking at them, so hopefully someone on this forum will have the chance to buy at least one.
