A common thing is to say it is mass illusion, though I dislike the way so many say that. They may try to make sure it's not mentioned in the news, or pass it off as a publicity stunt by some movie folks or something. Or maybe an animatronic (not sure how to spell it) t-rex that some have seen in the traveling shows. I think walking with dinosaurs has those.

I believe BBC where in the Primeval project, so might be a bit ironic, if the animatronics were from BBC

Wonder if folks would manage to get any cellphone pictures or video of Short or Red Claw, something else they may need to watch out for. Or actual pictures for those with a camera or video camera.

A lot of material is to be confiscated after the incident. Or a major story that will automatically make all the pictures untrustworthy or useless.

April Fools joke... that would be a good one, or a unheard group that prepares for an alien invasion, and have to see how people react to a monster, chasing them.

It's a start at least. You have ideas how long it is from when Shorty and Red Claw appear in the city to when the other main characters get to where one or both of them are?

We're talking hours, maybe a day or two at the most.
However, I have an idea about, that both Red Claw and Shorty will be caught, but they will be seperately sent back, to their time.

That makes sense. It would be more urgent, obviously, to send Red Claw back, and he'd be not wanting to hide. Less urgent, maybe, to send Shorty back, and maybe harder to find him if he is trying to hide, or just going around to try to find his way to the Great Valley, or back to where Bron was. He'd understand the language of the others around so could maybe learn a few things of where he was.

Yeah though what do you mean by "the others"?.
However the anomaly won't be up forever, so they'll have a limited time to send both Red Claw and Shorty back.
