Gee it doesn't even seem like it was that long ago when I turned 21! haha  Thanks everyone! Currently not much interesting is really going on in my life, except for a few speed bumps I'm trying to get past. Maybe this will be a very different and better year for me, who knows

^ I actually like this version more, I think that having the voices of Cera and Ducky singing it makes it much more powerful emotionally.

Gamers Zone / GOF's GOTY 2012
« on: December 30, 2012, 05:49:17 PM »
I'm not sure what my GOTY would be as there haven't been any games lately that I've really been enjoying. I was into Far Cry 3 but the gameplay got old pretty fast, though I still love it for the graphics. Minecraft has easily become one of my favorite games of all time, but now I'm waiting for updates on all the mods I use, so I haven't been playing it at all.

One game, however, that I recently found, has blown my mind completely. It's called Space Engine. I wouldn't even really say this is a game, but just an absolutely incredible simulation of outer space. You can literally go anywhere...in the entire universe. Yea, you can actually start at earth, and watch as you zoom out of the ENTIRE MILKY WAY GALAXY. You are going to have to increase your speed as you zoom, however, as the distance you will have to travel increases dramatically as you leave the solar system. I really can't believe I have never heard of this program until now. I could never truly appreciate the size of our galaxy until I started using this. It's unbelievable.

And if that isn't awesome enough, you can actually pick a random star, go to it, and there will be randomly generated planets around it that you can actually zoom all the way into. It is just an amazing program, and I highly recommend people check it out if you really love space. My only qualm with it is it is kind of glitchy sometimes when you try to zoom into planets, and if you move too fast through space it can lag and sometimes crash. But other than that, I have had no problems with it. It is the coolest program I have ever found :D

Gamers Zone / Whatcha playin'?
« on: December 22, 2012, 04:21:00 PM »
I've been playing Far Cry 3. Pretty cool game, and looks awesome too. Even Skyim fully decked out with graphical mods cannot top this game's graphics, mainly due to its lighting.

^ Animal Crossing is awesome :D

The Fridge / Embarrassing blunders
« on: September 04, 2012, 02:53:18 PM »
After reading this thread, I have come to find that it is incredibly difficult for me to remember any embarrassing moments I have had in my life. Thing is I know I have had some, but I just can't seem to recall what they were. I think my mind may have very well just blocked them all out, as it tends to do that with a lot of things I don't like.

The Fridge / Near Death at SeaWorld
« on: July 25, 2012, 03:04:43 PM »
I think it really depends on the animal and what kind of show it is. Something like this is going just a bit too far in my opinion. That guy was taking quite a big risk jumping into a tank with a killer whale and this video just proves that you cannot fully 100% trust a wild animal.

But on the whole subject of "is it cruel to have things like zoos and animal shows", I don't think it's cruel at all provided they are being taken care of properly. After all, if we never had these things, how would any of us ever get the chance to see with our own eyes some of nature's most beautiful and intelligent creatures?

I had a really disturbing dream 2 nights ago. There was a dingy, dark, musty, narrow stone passageway and at the end was the dead rotting corpse of some girl strung up against the wall screaming. I really don't know what else to say, other than I think I've been playing a bit too much silent hill lately

Visual Art / Modeling with Blender
« on: July 08, 2012, 08:25:03 PM »
That's really good! I've taken a few classes on 3DS max and let me tell you 3D modeling is no joke, it requires a ton of patience and extremely diligent work. It's definitely not for just anyone, and I find it quite amazing how you were able to take the time to learn the program through only online tutorials. Keep up the great work!

The Fridge / What is your favorite season?
« on: June 19, 2012, 10:16:17 PM »
I would have to say summer, I love those really warm clear bright green days. It really kind of depends where you live because here in Rhode Island summer doesn't really get too hot, it's actually right where we get the perfect temperature. I can't even remember the last time we had an extremely hot day where it was noticeably uncomfortable. Now winter is another story, some days it just gets freezing :wow but then again maybe I'm just a wimp when it comes to the cold :p

The Fridge / How much sleep do you get?
« on: June 02, 2012, 09:50:41 PM »
I'd say on average I fall asleep at about 2:30 AM and wake up at 9:30, so like 7 hours. I've actually gotten as little as about 4-5 hours of sleep and I still feel fine the next day. In fact I prefer having too little sleep every other night, because it makes the next night so much easier to fall asleep.

And nightmares are a funny thing with me. I'm really afraid of certain things, but I never ever have nightmares about them. The only things I have nightmares about are totally random, things I have no idea where they come from
