Silver Screen / Re: Your favorite movie soundtracks
« on: July 01, 2018, 08:58:06 AM »
1. The Land Before Time original AND sequel soundtracks (even though you may think the sequels are bad, the music is still really good in them)

2. Jurassic Park

3. The Lion King

4. Mulan (especially the Shan Yu track)

Slash - About the size of the Sharptooth (I think this is what you said, let me know if I'm wrong :p )
Yup, about the same size (thought maybe slightly longer), Carcharodontosaurus rivalled the T. rex in length.

General Land Before Time / Journey of the Brave storyboards
« on: June 21, 2018, 06:56:39 PM »
Back in late February, I had contacted one of the storyboard designers for Journey of the Brave, Llyn Hunter, if she had any storyboards of the fourteenth film to share. She answered back, and linked me to her site that had some (I couldn't find her site through a quick Google search). This is something that I have frequently forgot to post about here, so here you all go.

https://hunter4story.weebly.com/storyboards.html (Scroll down till you reach Journey of the Brave; there are a few storyboards down there)

Just a neat little thing considering I don't think we've seen any storyboards or inside production content regarding the fourteenth movie :yes

Every step he took was the fruit of a painful battle and Rinen knew he’d have to get away now if he wanted to live. He looked frantically around himself and in the far distance, he finally saw something that momentarily raised his hopes. Over twenty longneck lengths to his right, his eyes caught the sight of the two fast runners, apparently talking to each other. There seemed to be no trace of Aquarius, however, but he was too small for him to see this far anyway. The swimmer could be with the fast runners as far as he was concerned… which wasn’t a completely positive thing either. But deep down, the threehorn knew they were his best hope to live through this mess and he looked at the omnivores, praying in his mind that they’d turn towards him and come help him in his hour of need.

Yet, that hope never seemed to materialize. Seconds passed and the duo’s banter seemed to stretch on and on… until they suddenly turned around and sprinted straight away from him. Rinen stared after them for a short while while continuing his escape. Suddenly, the reality seemed to sink into his mind but it wasn’t a reality that was completely unexpected to the poor threehorn. To think even for a moment that anyone would stand up to him in this life seemed to be a fool’s hope as all his life, he had been but a burden to everyone around him. Yet, as always, he wouldn’t give up. He’d continue to search for a rescue as he always had and just as his legs seemed to be on the verge of collapse, Rinen saw the main entrance to the cavern, the same one he had created himself in order to escape its dark corridors and treacherous turns. Now, it would offer him one last hope to live through this most important of days.

With forced panting, Rinen’s body collapsed to a small, protected corner not far from the cave’s entrance, shielded by a wall blocking its view at the mouth of the rocky hall. He knew it offered him little protection should the predator chase him into the cave but that was the best chance he had. Rinen curled into an ever smaller ball as he heard the terrifying roar emanating from just outside the cave, cursing the fast runners’ cowardice as he fought to calm down his  desperate, saddened shudders.

The sharptooth neared the cave, attempting to sniff out the little bugger who had tried his best to evade the carnivore for so long. The predator had a hard time catching any sort of scent inside the cave nearby, oblivious to the hiding place of the threehorn. He slowly passed by the entrance, making the second mistake of this hunt by not checking the cave. The threehorn was blessed; the beast had walked off into the darkness.

...I made a mistake with that last post. I thought it was Sneak I was replying to.

Well okay. I suppose I'll have to have Slash lose you somehow. I don't wanna kill your character, so I'll have to lose you for now considering I haven't been able to crush you with the rocks nor run you down afterwards.

86
I'd say it isn't a new movie since Amblin has nothing to do with the sequels, but you never know.

That's a nice idea but I think Slash needs another post before I can continue my storyline.

I haven't decided to post yet until the main characters figure out a way to help Rinen. I was thinking of meeting your character after they get away.

It's June, and no news yet. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is coming out at various dates in the first half of the month in various countries.

I think at this point we will have to wait for late 2018, when LBT has its 30th anniversary. I'm not sure what Universal is going to do when that time comes around, hopefully something. Hopefully not simply a re-release of the first movie. Hopefully LBT XV. If we don't get news then, we can say bye for the LBT franchise for now, again.

General Land Before Time / Re: First 3 LBT Movies Now on Netflix

Does anyone know if the first three movies as well as XIV are still up? Did any more sequels get added?

General Land Before Time / Re: What happened after LBT X?

Big bump

Whatever the reason (be it laziness, lower budget or the writers running out of ideas), I do agree that XI through XIII were worse than past sequels (XIII being the one to almost kill the franchise). I think a lot of people with would agree with me. I thought XIV was better than XI-XIII but it could have been so much higher quality than that, at this point I just hope we get more LBT content. If we get another movie it needs to be announced around the time of the 30th anniversary of the franchise. If not, this might be it for The Land Before Time (for new original movies, at least; some day there will probably be a remake, maybe even in our lifetimes).

I really like the look of it. So glad that the forum is in the hands of the admins now.

My only pet peeve is that one page of posts on the forum only contains 15 posts; the old one had 20. Could this be changed so that it's the way it used to be?

Edit: removed the concern above since I was gonna put it in the right topic for that but added it back since I got a reply

Hey, its been ages since I've posted here (I was once a major admin in the RP forums back in the early days)

I am willing to do something here to help in the migration

I own my own web domain, and I know how to set up  a phpbb forum. I can set you up one there under my domain

there's quiet a bit of a workaround in learning where to use the CSS and whatnot, but its what I've been using for my forums long since I've left this community

let me know if you'd like to start talks on this
It's him... :lol

On a side note, I'll be updating the links to the forum on the LBT wiki as soon as I can. And I'll definitely be editing the History section for the forum's page so that all of this is mentioned there. Also I'm wondering if we should contact some users who aren't that active anymore and inform them about this. I'm not sure if Malte knows.
