I wanted to make a RP based off the Lion King movies, and this would be set after the events of 2. (So characters from that movie would be included.) This rP would be about the pride's life after the war with the Outlanders.

Description: Ramiki is a gold/brownish cub with black markings all through out his body.
Personality: Ramiki, is a very friendly cub who would make friends with just about anyone as long as they were nice. Ramiki could get kinda shy around newcomers butalways loves to make a new friend. He loves to playfight with other cubs.
Likes: Playfighting with other kids, rolling in the mud, swimming, sticking up for his friends, trying to keep his friends happy, Surprising an unexpecting victim(What Rakiki loves to do is hide behind a rock when he sees someone coming and playfully pounces on him/her. In a effort to scare them. It's a game to him)

and I've been thinking, mainly to give Ramiki a cub to play with now I want to bring in my OC of a little orphaned cub that the pride can decide what to do with when they find her as in who's going to be taking care of her :D but here's the bio

Gender: female
Animal: lioness cub
Description: a light tan with bright brown eyes.
Personality: Doesn't remember where she came from, only that she's been lost in the desert and then this land for as long as she could recall. Very skittish around grown males yet takes to females very fast, almost as if trying to grab up whatever comfort she can from feeling alone. While seeming bold enough in facing whatever life has to throw at her next, she is also timid and very quiet until forming trust.
Likes: nice other cubs, nice other kids of any species really, food that hasn't been left to rot
Dislikes: the desert now, cold rain, animals that growl a lot or really at all to her. Animals so much bigger than her they're scary.

Arrogant, respects those who he thinks are strong until he is able to kill them. likes to toy with others. he also tends to talk alot. However underneath all this cruel exterior, he is a lonely cub seeking the love of a family, something he denies adamantly.
Likes: survival, hunting, being left alone, plotting, gloating, and being strong.
Dislikes: Compassion, friends, being bothered, anyone he considers weaker than himself. seen crying. being considered weak.

Bio: His father was Scar's biological son, Leo. ( I know Kovu is scars heir, but I doubt he's scars son, since that would make him related to kiara.) Skar had mated with Zira. Leo fled as soon as he had seen simba was alive. Leo was also part of the group that (Tried) to kill Kopa. He left the outsiders shortly after that.
Leo later attacked and forced a Lioness to bear his cubs. when she could no longer have cubs and when he felt they were old , he beat her to within an inch of her life, then forced his cubs to eat her alive. Leo then weeded out the weakest ones by throwing each of them into a river. Only Damon, the black lion cub survived. Leo then forced Damon to eat his dying siblings. Leo began abusively instilling his teachings into the cub. first he marked him as his own father had, with a scar on his left eye. Any sign of weakness was punished by beatings. When Damon was old enough by his father's standards, he abandoned him.
Now Damon lived a solitary life, as black lions were also viewed as bringers of death and ill-fortune . He also lived on the outskirts of the Pride lands and knows the plight of Simba' s kingdom. Damon also made some enemies with the invaders after he had killed and eaten one of their cubs. He will join up soon with Simba's pride. None of them know who he is, but they know his father, either by association, or by reputation. However no one knows he is Leo's son.
OOC: OK the Idea is he is not a very nice cub, but he gets better

that would be a very interesting character rocky. you should bring him in.. but a few questions. if scar is his granfather, that would make simba his grand-uncle and nala his grand-aunt , and make him related to kopa, and kiara albeit distantly. having him be one of those who attacks kopa would, once that is revealed deny him enterance into the pride until kopa is satisfied that he has reformed. He has a long hatred of the outsiders for the attempt on his life, and he will not forget it thatDamon nearly killed him.

Re read the bio, Damon's father, Leo was the one who tried to kill Kopa, not Damon.
Also because Scar is simba' s uncle, that makes Leo Simba's cousin, so I'm right.
and Damon himself has done the pride no wrong, and so they'd have little reason to tolerate Damon' s presence. Also Damon is not wanting to join, he is just traveling with them for his own reasons, none of which are revenge.

Good job. of course, Damon's attitude will not be taken well.. a cub speaking like that to an adult will be rebuked. Are you planning to have Damon reveal that he is actually related to Simba at some point?

well maybe, but I was also thinking that he would say something like running away is what simba does best, and that unlike kopa, he was not thrown off a cliff or something.

OK, when the group reaches the nearest kingdom, they learned that it suffered because Scar's reign had driven the pride land herds there, creating over population, and famine. Bringing disease, and even death.
So the king is very hostile towards Pridelanders, especially Kovu, since he looks alot like scar.

You need to redo your post Rocky that kind of talk will get Damon killed in VERY short order. kopa will have no qualms about defending his , and his fathers honor, and theres a fine line between adding a characters and having a character run his mouth and be a jerk. A cub just meeting a pride would NEVER be so diserepectfu;l. He can fare much better within a pride that takes him in, antagonizing that pride will get him chased off or killed, more often its the latter. you need to develop Damon a bit more , have him show a friendly side..remember that he is related to Simba and kopa, his part of their family however distantly. I'm going to delete your current post, and have you repost something that is not so inflammatory.

Bio: Malaika' s Pride was the royal family of one of the Neighboring kingdoms. However this kingdom fell on hard times and they were forced to leave. Unable to find a new permanent home, they were forced to become Nomadic. Over time, they're numbers dwindled to half a dozen.
That's when they encountered Leo, Who slaughtered them and ate them, only Malaika survived, but she was Traumatized.

I'm going to bring in Malaika now, but Leo later. Also are the Hyena's allied with the Jaguars? Also is Sarabi available.

Another thing Rioocky, is you'll have to explain how the buzzards know Kopa. your current post is a bit confusaing as Kopa has very little memory of his cubhood with the pride..

well he waited till they were tired, hungry and weak. and it was a small pride too. also if sarabi is dead, how come I saw her name on the character list? also as for Leo's appearance, he has red eyes as oppose to green. Also he is a cannibal lion. as for the buzzards, I already took care of that.

Bio: Straff lost his parents to illness when he was a cub, but his uncle took him in and raised him like a son. As he grew older, Straff managed to heal from the tragedy of losing his parents, much to his uncle's surprise. He understood that it was part of the Great Circle of Life, and that one day he would be reunited with his parents. Straff and his uncle now travel out through the world to see where life takes them.

No Rocky, the Hyenas are not allied with the jaguars in fact the Jaguars helsd them prisoner in the Graveyard befotre they escaped along with Vitani's adopted cubs.

OK, also could I play Yuna when he get to his kingdom. I was going to base his attitude towards Kovu, Vitani, Damon, and even Makaila on Lord Matel's from war planets shadow raiders: Lord Mantel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Shadow_Raiders_characters#Lord_Mantel). Also He reveals that he knows Leo is Damon's father because Damon's mother was his own daughter, and he views Damon as a monster who's just as sick and twisted as Leo.

I made some additions/changes to my character, so now he is a little more complete.
I do plan on bringing in Straff's uncle as well, but I do not have his character thought out yet, but that will change soon.

Gotcha, oh and LBTfan13, how about Duma as a name. It's Swahili for Cheetah like Simba is Swahili for lion.
Update: Both Brek and Kenji posted, neither of them even mentioned what Damon did in regards to running off carrying Makaila.

So I finally found time to create my other character. It's short like my first character, but I'm just glad to get this out finally.
Name: Duma (I liked your suggestion Rocky)
Gender: Male
Animal: Cheetah
Description: Same as Straff except darker colors and larger (couldn't really find a good picture to use)
Age: 45 in human years
Personality: Caring, protective, sometimes stern, sometimes aggressive
Likes: Nephew, peace
Dislikes: Same as Straff
Bio: Duma made a promise to his brother, Straff's father, that he would take care of Straff if he and his mother were to die. When both died due to illness, Duma made word on his promise and took Straff in as his own. He acted like a true father, keeping a close eye on his nephew and making sure he didn't get into any trouble. Sometimes this puts him at odds with his nephew, but they always seem to work it out in the end. Duma loves Straff as if he were his son, and he would die to protect him.

you need to tone down Damon imo Rocky. no cub would be that unredeemable, unless of course they are completely evil, which I understand damon is not.. so have him be more respectful of his elders please. calling simba a coward is a very good way to get him killed.

I did, he saved Makaila from thirst, and caught her a fish almost as big as a newborn cub, after she threw up the meat he gave her. He also swore off eating other lions just cause she made him promise.

Also I'm playing with the idea of The herd being forced to take shelter from a storm in the same caverns Damon spent his early Cub hood in, and him being haunted by his past.

yay, another cub for Makaila and even Damon to play with, once this part of the story. I was also toying with the idea of him mistaking Kovu for Leo due to his flash backs and attacking him, like biting and clawing his back, only to flee deeper into the florescent moss lit cave because he believes he's a danger to the pride.

you should focus much less on damon and more on makiala . why would suimba leave his family outside yunas kingdom or kill Damon? Neother of those things make sense..

Ok, Also I was thinking of this as an Idea, maybe later after the " Meeting" with King Yuna, I could bring Timon's Uncle max in and kind of have him, timon, Ma, and the other meerkats be kind of like an Armt corp of enginers/ spys for the pride landers, and before Simba's pride takes back what was stolen from them, Uncle max would give a kind Patton-like speech, also who's controling Nala?

OK, if she was avalabile, I would've like to play as her. Also I was thinking That King Yuna could be depicted as a old lion past his prime with failing health, and also the greif of losing his only child turned him into a isolationistic, opressive/repressive tyrant who turned the lioness's into a sort of secret police. Also they have orders to kill Damon on sight, but Simba says he;s under his royal protection. They allow only the royal family to enter and they are taken to see King Yuna to resolve this mater. They led there by the captain of Yuna's 'prideguard' (the secret police) who is a lion, unrelated to Yuna. He explains that after Scar took over, Yuna's land was flooded by massive ammounts of refugee herds, this created Over population, which led to starvation, which prompted Yuna to order almost constant hunt after hunt to thin the out the refugee's who refused to leave. This lead to more dead meat than could be eaten, and disease soon spread due to the spoiled meat, and Yuna lost his mate to disease

Frankly I don't think that would work. if that was the case then simba would soon look to find help elsewhere, they'd just pass on thrpugh his lands or go around them. Having him be almost as bad as Scar wouldn'rt help matters..

ok, how about have him start out ordering Damon to be killed until simba tells him Damon is his grandson, he first demands proof, then Damon's mother appears as a ghost, confirms that, and Yuna begs for damon to forgive him, Damon agree's if Simba's pride is given asylum and aid.

OK, but could I still have him demand proof of his clam to being his grandson, have damons mother Appear before him, yuna begs for forgiveness. Also how about have that Leo killed Yuna's mate (and the cubs she was carring) while kidnaping Zuri. and have it where Yuna rarley left the den after Damon confessed to him that day about killing Zuri, spending most of his time grieving. also having his most trusted adviser running the kingdom.

well how could he get proof, get a blood test or something, a test of character, physical, what? Besides, we could do the cloud thing mufasa did. or have character witnesses, like simba, kovu, kopa, kiara. vitani, ect. you know, eyewitnesses who saw his mom and siblings appear as ghosts back in that cave.

the only way for him to prove it is by proving his worth to YUNa. having ghosts appeare , on cue, really wouldn't work

Ok, here's a Idea. When they reach the kingdom, the pride is met by The royal guard, the captain of said guard is a male lion named Jabari. Under the orders of the Major-domo, a lion named taka, who also claimed he was Yuna when he 'sentenced' Damon to exile. The real Yuna and his mate, Upendi greive for their daughter. They had no more children because they can't. Yuna and his mate rarely leave the Den, and so they are basicly figure heads while Taka rules, and they don't get involve until Simba talks to Yuna and Upendi. They snap out of their depression and after seeing what Taka is about to do to Damon, they stop Taka, however Taka gets Damon to confess that he killed Zuri. Taka then tries to kill Damon, but Yuna tries to stop him. Taka is younger than Yuna, so he has the advantage. Just before Taka kills Yuna, Damon bites Taka in the tail, then hangs on with his mouth for dear life. Taka manages to kick damon to the ground, knocking him out. However Taka is forced to flee.

Part two..
Nutari revives Damon, with Yuna and Upendi both convinced Damon is their grandson. Yuna gives aid to Simba, he also starts to teach Damon all ropes about being a king ( like how Mufasa did with simba).
I was also thinking that Damon could be reluctent to accept this role, both because he is afraid of having to leave Simba's pride, and because he doesn't feel he is worthy to be a prince.

I don't think that's a bad idea Rocky, but, as I've said before, try not to make the plot so revolved around Damon, ok?

i agree. it shouldn't all be about damon, after all, hes just a cub.. the story ultimately is about simba and his pride, not this cub that they happen to meet along the way.

I know it sounds like I'm repeating myself here, but I just have to be frank, Rocky.
This story is not about Damon.
I'm not trying to be mean, but you've given Damon way too big of a role and shifted the focus of the story entirely. With Damon, you haven't made a character that fits into the plot, but a plot that fits into the character.
Damon is supposed to be a cub. A mere cub. Yet every lion in the nearby pride of Yuna is obsessed with killing him. That's just ridiculous.
And another thing: We already had an established antagonist, yet you haven't addressed that at all in your posts.
And finally, you had an entire plot planned ahead, that seems. It was entirely-Damon based, and gave no room for any of the canon chars (besides Simba) or other OCs to do anything. Really, Damon is diving into "Mary Sue" territory.
Like nick said in the all dogs topic, I believe you are a good rper, but you need to rethink how big your characters' roles are and how the plot should go.

Brek is right. there are several characters in this rp, who are more important to the Story than Damon is. Simba, Kopa, Vitani, kiara and Kovu, just to name 5. each of these characters has to be involved in the story in some way shape or form.

OK, here's some idea's.
Kopa and Vitani define their Relationship more. take a small break from the Main story to follow Timon's Progress as he heads to make sure his Colony is safe, and enduring the buzzard boyz rapping. Kovu worring about being a good father, Simba wonders if he did the right thing in regards to leaving the pridelands.The Panther's take over the pride lands only to find them empty. They arrive at Yuna's kingdom, ask for help, but get turned away at first, then a heart to heart talk with Simba, Yuna and his mate agree to help and they start to make plans. Also Damon learns most of these fears of his were all in his head, that no one in yuna's pride wants to kill him (Except the vizer, who maniplated it so if a heir was not produced, he'd get the throne) The Buzzard boys meet up and tell Simba Timon and the other meerkats are awaiting orders to do their part. Massive lion vs Panther battle. Kopa, Simba, Yuna and Kovu fight the leader of the panthers and kill him.
