Where I lived people still today named an illness after me. They consider  diarrhoea my revenge.

That would have to be Montezuma, last ruler of the Incas (I think, or maybe Mayans).  Because that he was defeated and humiliated (and later killed) by Hernando Cortez, the diarrhoea caused by drinking the water in the Americas was called Montezuma's Revenge.

I need a refresher in World History...

Very good Kenji!
Montezuma is correct (he was an Aztec though). According to the official version he was killed by his own people who threw stones at him when he tried to calm them and stop them from attacking the Spanish oppressors. The bit about the gods refers to the fact that the Spanish were considered gods at first, and the "feathered snake" again stressed that point as the Aztecs thought that Cortez was Quetzalcoatl, a god who could take the shape of a feathered snake.
Good job. Your turn. :)

Geez...my schools don't make World History the way they're supposed to...
At least I got the name spelled right.

I'll have to pass this one up.  I can't think of anyone right now and perhaps someone else would like a turn.

I'll give it a try. This place once held a great treasure that was sought by many.

Kolchis? - that's where the golden fleece was that was finally taken by Jason and the Argonauts (according to the Greek legend). It be most surprised if this was right, as there are very many places where treasures were, or are rumored to be hidden. However, this quiz is actually about people rather than places.

No. But the item sought by many was magical. Next time I'll try to come up with a riddle about a person.

An item sought by many that was considered magical?
What comes to my mind here is the holy grail, but I never heard of a particular place where it was supposed to be hidden.

It is the Holy Grail, but where was it hidden?

As I said, I didn't know about one particular place for the grail to be hidden, but doing a little research I came across more than one place:
The temple mountain in Jerusalem.
Avalon, the mysterious land from the Arthus saga.
Renne le Chateau, a town in southern France.

Avalon was the place I was looking for. In the Arthurian legends, Avalon was an abbey located on a small island off the coast of England. Your turn Malte.

Okay. I'm afraid the next one is dreadfully easy:

Green-clad and hooded, with the bow in my hand I'm the most celebrated outlaw ever.

Entirely ironic that I know the answer but have no idea what I'll put next for everyone to guess. :p

Probably the most famous outlaw is Robin Hood. :)

The answer is right and by "law" you have to come up with the next character description. You do not want to become an "outlaw", do you?

It's hard trying to put a pin on something anyone would know. ;)

I was not an outlaw, but people wanted to kill me because I had impersonated one of their own.  I wanted to attack a young girl bringing food to one who needed assistance.  I was able to escape with my life.  Who am I?

Well You gave it a good shot.  I was forced to live in a small room by my mother and never allowed to see anyone. Who am I?

Rapunzel? I don't know if this is the correct English spelling. Locked away in a tower she was isolated from other people until a prince used her long plait as a rope to climp up to her.
