Hunter smiled. "Now that sounds like fun. But it must also get boring just waiting around like that too." she said with a smile. "Think you or your mom can give a show?"

Dil nuzzled Greg as she replied, "That's right Greg." To prove her point she swung her tail back and forth splashing some of the water at her feet. "See, strong and steady enough to trip something that isn't watching its step."

Red Claw laughed for a moment as he showed off his teeth. "Well... there was that one herd of flyers where I caught four in one bite. That was alot of fun." he said with pride in his voice.

Longtail finally finding his voice spoke it was soft... almost inaudible to even Pearl who was still hugging him. "My... home..." he uttered.

Pearl raised an eye ridge as she asked, "W-what?"

At that moment Longtail's body kicked into full on rage mode as he threw Pearl off of him and screamed. It was loud, and it echoed through the air, across the island and under the water too. MY HOME!!!!! And with that decleration Longtail got a running start before flapping his wings, taking to the sky and simply screeching at the top of his lungs, attempting to force all his emotions out at once and having little to no success.

Pearl was lying on her back on the bridge both confused by Longtails outburst, but emotionally hurt by his actions.

"You look like you have an idea Red Claw." said Terri with a smile.

Dein gave it a few moments thought and then spat Petrie out of his mouth. He then looked Petrie in the eyes and grinned without saying a word.

Hunter had caught up to Longtail and hadn't moved for several minutes. Her jaw hung open in shock and awe as she stared at the bodies of THREE adolescent longnecks, easily six times Longtail size. Finally finding her voice she stuttered. "H... how?"

Longtail just gave a sigh of relief as he smiled. "Would you believe me if I said they all tripped and fell on a rock?"

Littlefoot looked at Cera as if she'd grown a second head and sighed. "I wish it was that easy Cera... but you know sharpteeth can't speak like we can."

Hunter shook her head and looked up at Red Claw. "No, use your sniffer, whatever Longtail is calling for help with, it's dead. But just in case..." she didn't finish her sentence as she picked up her pace and dashed towards her friend.

Terri nodded as well. "Not much of a hunt if the meal is already dead Red Claw. Sorry."

Dein used his tougne to throw Petrie around his mouth laughing as he did so.

Dil smiled as she softly lifted Greg onto her nose and carried him along.

Littlefoot didn't want to admit it... but it really did look absolutely hopeless. He sat down and let a few tears slide down his face. "Well... if we don't get out... we know what happens."

Terri turned to her mate and nodded indicating she wanted to switch. She opened her jaws just enough to let Petrie fly through.

Dein stepped closer and opened his maw as well ready to trap the young flyer again.

Dil gently licked Ichy. Relax, I'm sure he'll be back soon. The kid is good. He's proven that."

Just then a shrill cry echoed across the land. It was the sharptooth cry for assistance.

Dil glanced up and looked to Hunter. "I think you're little friend is calling for you." she said with a chuckle.

Hunter just shrugged her shoulders and began walking towards the sound.

Terri chuckled at Petries useless attempts to try and get out of her mouth.

Dein nods his head in approval. "Very good. Ruby should not be too hard to find then." he said with a grin.

Littlefoot looked around for a moment before saying, "Just relax Cera. Petrie will come through for us. He won't let us down."

"Oh yes, we can trust Petrie we can." Comments Ducky with a smile.

Terri grinned as she felt Petrie fly into her mouth. She closed her teeth and chuckled lightly. "This really is too much fun!" she commented to Dein and Red Claw.

Dein laughed as he looked over at Rita. "Have you found Chomper and Ruby yet?" he asked softly.

Terri grinned deviously as she nodded her head. "Alright lets have a little fun."

Dein turned his head and complied as well. "Sure, this is going to be interesting I can tell." he said with a chuckle as he opened his mouth

Littlefoot called out to Petrie. "Be careful!"

Longtail flew through the air using his eyes and nose to search and track scents he could find. "This isn't as easy as I thought it would be..." he thought to himself as he continued to fly.

Dein being far taller could actually see where Chomper and Ruby were, but stayed still and watched to see how well Rita did.

Terri just chuckled. "True. But you also know they fight when cornered. And even five hatchlings can give a full grown sharptooth problems if they aren't careful."

Longtail landed on Red Claws tongue for a moment and shook his feathers dry and smiled. "They are not happy about being eaten. But such is the Circle of Life." He then looked down at Ichy and smiled brightly. "Sure! One feast coming up!" he said as he spread his wings, jumping from Red Claws mouth and soaring into the sky.

Terri smiled. "He's energetic. That's good. It may not be as easy to find food out here than he thinks."


Dein watched Rita start the game Hide and Seek, waiting to see whom she'd find first.

Longtail landed in between Dil and the newcomer. He stared down the newcomer, while giving a huff. "Hi, Hunter. Still keeping your skills sharp I see."

The longnecked biter known as Hunter just grinned. "You know I'm better than you at tracking kid. No use denying that." she said as she eyed Dil, Greg and Ichy. "Special company you keep these days I see."

Dil stepped forward and was now nose to nose with Hunter. "Lets not cause any trouble here. I wouldn't want to thrash ya." she said with a growl.

Hunter took a step back as she replied, "Now, now... no need to be hostile. We're all sharpteeth here. Let's try and be nice to each other."

Longtail sighed as he asked aloud, "So... you obviously tracked me out here... what's with the grass coverings? Were you trying to sneak out of the valley, or did you just fall into another hole?"

Hunter grunted softly. "Had to sneak out. The valley elders didn't want anyone trying to help you... something about learning a real lesson and teaching that freak how to survive."
