What is the Movie from this?
Well, I believe it was from The Land Before Time V: The Mysterious Island, if memory serves me correctly.

Land Before Time Captions / Petrie's cheeky grin
« on: August 27, 2015, 05:12:47 PM »
Petrie spends a great deal of the night delivering tree sweets, treestars, and other forms of green food to the outside world, and just when he thinks he finds an ideal spot to rest is shocked to find that he has landed on a Sharptooth’s back.

It growls at him, baring its teeth at him.

Petrie flashes a grin at him.

PETRIE: Nice teeth!

Land Before Time Captions / Chomper loses it

Littlefoot looks for his writing tablet of stone.

LITTLEFOOT: Now where is that... oh! Hey, who moved my writing tablet way over here?

Chomper jumps in front of him than leaps out and roars.

LITTLEFOOT (deadpan): How are you doing, Chomper?

CHOMPER: Were you scared? Tell me honestly.

LITTLEFOOT: I was close to being scared that time.

CHOMPER: Oh! I’m going for fiercesome here, but I just don’t feel it. I think I’m just come off as annoying.

Silver Screen / Star Wars: The Legacy Revealed

I don’t know if it would against to rules to post something from YouTube up onto this forum, but I feel like I want to just do it all the same:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yfl9oxOmUU...5KPMOscYMbQ_-O-. This gives us an in-depth look at the six films that made up the Star Wars saga, the elements that made up its story: philosophy, religion, history, politics, literature, and mythology, which had it generate a mythology of its own that audiences could relate to very well, which made it so popular all those years ago and continues into today.

LBT Fanfiction / Quest for the Energy Stones
« on: August 21, 2015, 08:25:44 PM »
To The Chronicler:

Hello there. I am truly sorry if this post is “Necromancing” this thread, but I read your story a long time ago on FanFiction.net, and I thought it was quite amusing. I’m sorry to hear how things have been going on your sequel, but I am glad that at least there is one story completed so far.

On the matter of this story, I think it was quite interesting for the gang to receive the elemental powers of the Toa, though I would have had Littlefoot wield earth, Chomper fire, Cera stone, and Spike ice. I didn’t include Ruby because I don’t know her well enough to include her, and I think that the element of light should be a secret power revealed with the Mask of Light to be wielded not by a special kind of creature, like maybe a prehistoric mouse or something like that.

My reasons for Littlefoot commanding earth and Chomper fire was mainly based on Power Rangers: Dino Thunder with the Red Ranger commanding the Tyranno Zord and the Black Ranger the Brachio Zord. Cera would have control over stone because I saw her running much like Pohatu with the Mask of Speed, and Spike would have ice due to The Land Before Time VIII: The Big Freeze with the snow, but also him being isolated from his friends.

The funny thing is I had thought of the gang journeying to an island of mouse-like creatures and free them and the dinosaurs from a tyrannical evil much like the early story lines. I sent a note to you earlier, but it didn’t get through, looks like, so I had to resort to this. I hope that we might get together and work on storylines like you did. Hope to hear back from you soon!

General Land Before Time / Are Shawmen Dinosaurs a good idea?
« on: August 21, 2015, 07:02:43 PM »
Well, to be fair, I don’t know much about the series, save for I, V, VII, VIII, and X, but going with the spiritualism in the first film, it may not seem so out of place with me. Who knows what secrets the adults may be concealing from their young ones until the time is right for them to know?

Sorry, this is just me being half-Star Wars fan and BIONICLE fan. I don’t much by the movie series, but I like to include such ideas whenever I can.

P. S. To the original poster, it would be “shaman,” not “shawman.”

LBT Fanfiction / If you could bring one of your ocs to life
« on: April 07, 2015, 09:57:37 PM »
Well, I am uncertain on the names of my characters, but they would be “Sharpteeth.” However, unlike most of the Sharpteeth in the LBT, they not actually enemies of the Great Valley dwellers at all. In fact, one of them would have helped some of the heroes in their journies.

One of these characters would be a Coelophysis who nested in the caves near the volcano in the first film. She chose that cave for two reasons; one of them was isolation from predators or any dinosaur that would potential disturb her nest. The second was its proximity to a water source where she could rehydrate herself and the fish were plentiful indeed. While there was the odd dinosaur who would wander the caves endlessly, she could navigate around easily and ambush them if they got too close.

She encountered the Gang of Five by coincidence; she had been fishing at her usual fishing grounds when she overhears the trio of Pachycephalosaurs (Domeheads) approaching her nest. Despite their status as herbivores, they smelled the eggs and recognized them as Sharptooth. They hated Sharpteeth of every kind that they decide to despose of them. But before they could begin, the Coelophysis attacks them, but even with her speed and agility, she is still outmatched. She is on the verge of defeat when Cera comes to her rescue; the youngester witnessed the fight and noticed the nest the carnivore was defending. She manages to pick out that the Pachycephalosaurs were the ones attacking the nest as opposed to the Coelophysis, and as the three gloat over their imment victory, Cera charges them.

However, her efforts turn out to be no better than the mother’s, and Cera soon turns tail. The mother, meanwhile hears the crys of Littlefoot and his friends in the tar pits. She recognizes them because she had seen them cross through the lava fields on her fishing trip and decides to help them first. The Coelophysis finds some vines that she collected some time ago and uses them to haul out the others. She tells of Cera’s plight, which leads them to using the tar to frighten the Pachycephalosaurs away.

After she saves the gang, she returns to her nest to raise her young as normal, but she knows that her life will never be the same again. Eventually, when they are old enough to travel and to hear of the tale of Cera’s rescue of her and the eggs, and how she saved others in return.

Another character would a raptor. He leads a pack, basically. I don’t have much in the ways of his personality traits or story, but while he is territorial, he will not trespass on other packs’ lands, or the lands of herbivores. Occasionally, the pack will leave their den to go hunting, but only to a certain extent. When Littlefoot and his friends enter his lands on a quest of their own, he threats them with death if they do not leave; but when they, along with a respected dinosaur explain why they are here and how it is important, he respectfully lets them be and allows them to go on their way.

LBT Fanfiction / "Unused" fanfiction ideas
« on: March 26, 2015, 08:59:33 PM »
In my initial imagining of the crossover, Littlefoot and his friends would have access to the Dino Ranger’s powers along with some of their own. They might have combatted a very evil Sharptooth or something along those lines.

However, I have revised the idea a little as I have grown older and wiser. You can see it on the “crazy crossover” section.

Okay, what about The Land Before Time with Power Rangers Dino Thunder?

In my initial imagining of the crossover, Littlefoot and his friends would have access to the Dino Ranger’s powers along with some of their own. They might have combatted a very evil Sharptooth or something along those lines. However, now that I am older, I came up with something else. But that may be fairly convoluted too. What I had in mind was that somebody had found the remains of Mesogog and had cloned him in hopes of continuing the research Dr. Mercer had begun. Unfortunately, the recreated Mesogog escapes the facility where he was recreated and goes back in time to the Cretaceous Period, thanks to a temporal technology the researchers had developed coinciding with the resurrection project.

Meanwhile, while the former Dino Rangers try to resume their normal lives, something happens that alerts them to the events that occurred with the time machine, so they have to go in, go back in time, and stop Mesogog from conquering the Earth again. How Littlefoot and his friends get involved, I haven’t planned that idea out really; but somehow, I think that they discover a variant of the Dino Gems, get attacked by Tyranno-Drones or some variant of them, and they beat them back with their newly found powers. The human Rangers appear, tell the kids what is happening, and they team up to battle Mesogog again.

A few new ideas might be to have a raptor warrior be rebuilt into a cyborg general, just as Zeltrax was, but the new guy might be more machine than living, like General Grievous from the Star Wars prequel trilogyónot that you might care for that. I mean, if you look at Zeltrax, doesn’t he remind a little bit of Darth Vader a bit? And maybe the new general would be a contrast to Zeltrax, less of a human and more of a reptilian cyborg. What if Mesogog had brought an army of machines to conquer the Great Valley? Again, it would be an analogy to the Separatists from Star Wars. But I just thought of this up recently; the raptor cyborg would be angry at Mesogog for not revealing his past experiences with the Rangers, so he secretly plans to betray him after the Rangers are gone and the Valley conquered. The cyborg might have an interest in the time travelling technology that he would plan on using it to alter a part of his past.

That’s what I’ve got. What do you think? How do you think the idea should be improved upon if it should be?

Eh, yeah, sorry about that link. I just wanted to show people where she is and all. Personally, I think ten would have been the best place to stop.

If it isn’t too much to ask, what continuity issues with the first film and the sequels themselves would you wish to have corrected or explained properly?

General Land Before Time / Land Before Time Canon and Sequel Haters
« on: March 24, 2015, 03:18:01 PM »
There is a user on DeviantART who is apparently vehement that the sequels should neither exist, nor be considered canon. She is ShinyWhiteWaters. I think that her hatred for Cera is partially understood, but unnecessary. Still, even though I have never seen all of the sequels or remember them clearly: I have seen I, V, VII, VIII, X, and IX, but I remember I, VII, and VIII the best. What you think if the songs were absent from the sequels, or replaced with something relevant and meaningful to the plot, like “Strange Things” and “I Will Go Sailing No More” from “Toy Story.” The characters don’t break into song, but the songs convey their emotions and the emotions of the movie. What if the sequels were more in line with the first film? What about that?

Before Disney’s buyout of Lucasfilm and “Star Wars,” Star Wars had a canon tier:
G-canon were the first six films, T-canon were television shows released, C-canon was “continuity canon” consisting of the novels, comic books, and video games, S-canon was “semi-canon” were older stories or stories that had inconsistencies with G or C canon, and N-canon was non-canon, meaning that they had no impact on the overall story.

Overall, what do you think of this user’s rants? Should there be a canon system? If so, what and how should that system be arranged as?

LBT Audio Play Project / Writers needed.

Begging your pardons if I am “resurrecting a dead thread,” but have any of you heard of Celtx? It’s a writer’s dream: screenplays, audio plays, stage plays, comic book scripts, novels, and more. And the best part? It allows for collaboration. I discovered this a few days ago, and I am enjoying it most empathically. What do you think? Anybody here know about it already or have any interest in it?

I would concur with you there, LBT fan13. An author should ask you for permission to loan your character before using him/her.
