"Let it ride" Nick said. The cafe had been full of memories, both good and bad, mostly bad under Chong's rule. Blowing up the building, was makig a clean clear and obvious break with that past..

Rime, Strut and Deimos then arrived at the site and took cover behind the rock.

Strut removed the detonator box from his backpack, placed it on the ground and connected the wires.

"Wires are in place!" Strut called out.

Deimos and Rime looked over the boulder to ensure no one was approaching.

"You're clear!" Deimos shouted.

Strut then flicked a toggle switch on the box. A green light turned on. "Detonator box is on!"

Deimos and Rime again looked over the rock to ensure no one was approaching.

"You're clear!" Rime shouted.

Strut turned a key in the box. Two red lights on the box blinked on and flashed steadily. "Detonator box is armed!"

"You're clear!" Deimos shouted

"T-minus 15 seconds to detonation, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9..." Strut continued counting down.

Dr. Zanasiu and Zachary pulled out some foam earplugs they had tucked in their pockets and placed the earplugs in their ears.

"Everyone cover your ears!" Zachary shouted.

Dixie suddenly started . "scooby's gift, I left it on the cot..and never opened iit.."

Scooby pulled the casse out. "Ri Round rit ron rhe roor , rhile rou rere rin rhe roset" He gave it to her. "Rou ran ropen rit ranytime.." He smiled.. and Dixie breathed a sigh of releif..

Shaggy Bart, Lilo , Nani, and Ali all took earmuffs from stripetail and put them over thier ears.. Ali's was on crooked, but she didn't care...

Spyro and Cynder placed their paws over their ears.

"Are you finally going to blast it?" Sparx asked, growing impatient.

Castle Doran watched the silly little creatures crouch behind the rock. She wasn't quite sure what they were doing. Wataru, Nago, and Taiga covered their ears.

It's going to blast Sparx, so shut up!" dixie yelled, as she grabbed twoi earmuffs from Stripetail, who then handed one to Merlin, who reluctanty put them one. Dixie slid a pair onto Scooby, then put her on.. as she did Strut was stll counting..

Deimos, Rime and Strut had sound cancellation devices built into their helmets which they were still wearing. They simply activated the devices at Dr. Zanasiu's command. Dr. Kerzach was wearing earplugs that he had with him in his labcoat. Mr. Bigmouth simply put his hands over his ears.

"...8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0. Detonation now!" Strut counted down. At "detonation now", he flipped up a clear cover on a red rocker switch, pushed the switch down and held it for 3 seconds.

After 3 seconds, a deafening explosion ripped through the air, as several pounds of explosive went off, leveling the cafe.

"Woo-hoo!" Sparx hollared. Castle Doran roared in surprise and turned to face the smoking wreckage of the cafe. She spat several fireballs at it.

Spyro removed his hands from his ears. "We should have done that in the first place."

BNick watched as the building collaspsed in on itself. the building he had worked at, and owned, was now a pile of rubble. Granted, the health inspector would have ordered him to raze it, or do vast repairs in any case. He turned to the others and looked at the gathered belonging.. 6 beds, including the one that formerly belonged to Chong, The Insulting mirror, his office desk, 3 tables, including one which read "the Scooby Table' on a placard on it, and of course, piles of mithril.

"Oh, he'll have it back when he rebuilds," Sparx crossed his arms.

Which will cost him loads of money and months if not years of labor to rebuild" Dixie said angrily. "Its going to take him a long time to recover from this Sparx.."

"Sparx! Are you aware that we were forced to blow up a man's source of income and his livelihood!?" Zachary shouted.

"Sparx, please, show some respect! We just blew up a man's cafe! And the memories he had of that place cannot be replaced." Mr. Bigmouth scolded.

Deimos turned to Nick. "I am sorry we had to blow up the cafe but it would have been too dangerous to mount a full expedition to kill the Shurlups. It was the only way we could exterminate them."

We hasd nearly exterminated them" Nani said, in reply. Why couldn't you have poured fast acting cement down the hole, instead of blowing the whole place up? This poor man has nothing now..' She pointed to Nick.

Castle Doran roared and opened its mouth, spitting out a yellow orb, which floated to the ground and popped, revealing Deimos and company's gear. The dragon turend and leapt into the air.

"Good luck to you, too," Taiga said.

The Tourist looked at the large dragon, "Fascinating, I've not seen one like her before." He said while looking at Castle Doran.

"Yes, most unique." Odysseus said.

"She looks big, like Littlefoot's grandparents, dad, and Pat." Ducky said, not having met Sue she didn't mention her of course.

"No forget Doc, Elsie, Mr. Mama." Petrie said mentioning some other large ones they had met.
