I was just going to leave this as is because quite frankly, I'm sick of arguing with you. We go through this just about every year and it's really gotten old. This might be my last post directed towards you, WeirdRaptor but I have to ask. Now I'm not trying to make fun of you or anything of the sort. I just want to know: why do you get so worked up when people don't like what you like? I really don't get it. Every time somebody posts something negative about something you enjoy, you take it as a personal insult and act like that person is out to get you or something. Remember the PS4 topic from a year or two back? I said nothing bad about Nintendo other than that I was more interested in the PS4 than the Wii U and that I was burnt out on some of their franchises and you made me out to be some evil Nintendo hater who wanted to see the company go out of business when 1. I said absolutely nothing of the sort. And 2. if I hate Nintendo, why was I on their side in Pokeplayer's topic about Nintendo copyrighting Youtube videos? Hint: Not because I hate Let's Plays. If I hated Nintendo, why have I drawn fanart of their stuff? Why did I mourn Satoru Iwata's passing and do a drawing for him in honor of his memory? I must really hate Nintendo if I've done stuff like that. Also, just because somebody's burnt out on something doesn't mean they hate it. Look how many people say they're burnt out on Assassin's Creed yet I bet most of them don't hate the franchise, just aren't interested in it anymore.

You say that I need to stop talking about Let's Plays yet to this day, you still hold a grudge against some Internet reviewer because he gave a movie you like a less than favorable review. When did that review come out, like seven, eight years ago? Almost a decade. The guy who made it probably either doesn't remember doing it or doesn't care anymore yet you still hold a deep seething hatred for somebody who doesn't even know you exist. I have nothing against any Let's Players. I don't know any of them personally and unless they've wronged me in some way then why should I care about them? I never said people can't enjoy Let's Plays. I never said you can't enjoy them. What I said was that I think Let's Plays are, for the most part, a fad. And that I don't think they're high quality entertainment. Nowhere did I say others couldn't enjoy them. I said that I don't get why some ninny screaming like a child is funny to some people. If I do watch a Let's Play, I'd rather see somebody give a genuine reaction to a game as opposed to shrieking at every little thing that happens. That's why I said I like people like Kr1tikal or even the Vinesauce dudes. Their reactions feel genuine and because of that, I find their stuff to be funnier than some of the big name LPers.

People are going to say negative things about stuff you like. Likewise, they'll say positive stuff about things you don't like. That doesn't make them stupid or idiots because they don't see value in something you do. People don't like things that I like and I don't care. That's their tastes, not mine. I don't think it makes them stupid or anything. If you can say negative things about what others like (James Cameron, Playstation, Sony, etc.) then why can't people say something not positive about what you like? Sorry but that seems pretty unfair and hypocritical to me.

That was quite a big post, I have to say. I'm glad I got all that off my chest. But what I said was not intended to insult you, make fun of you, or annoy you. I know I'm not the only one who's said this but you can be a pretty decent guy to talk with when you don't let your emotions get the better of you. You just get way too offended over such trivial and inconsequential things. I'm willing to have a discussion on LPs with you, maybe even see things from a different perspective but if you're just going to get angry at me and put words in my mouth so it seems like I'm saying things that I didn't, then our conversations, as well as this topic, might as well just end here.

I'd say go for it. That's really sick. I get that not everyone's on board with Shining and Cadence having a kid but that's not even close to being funny. Why can't this fandom ever just wait and see how things play out? Why does every new change in the show have to be met with such disdain?

Sad how the kids who watch this show seem to be more mature than the "adults".

Didn't know Ponychan came first. I didn't even know it was still around. If Ponychan is the Brony fandom's 4Chan then what would /MLP/ be? /co/? /v/?

I don't know much about Ponychan but /MLP/ has always been good for a laugh (at least to me it has). I know a lot of people find the posters there pretty messed up but I always felt that at least most of them are just making those kinds of posts just for laughs. I'm sure there are people there who... do want to do that Rainbow Dash but I think a lot of them are just messin' around so to speak. I bet the majority of them make those posts just to mess with everybody.

I figured the same thing as you. That Cadence just wasn't that far along in the pregnancy yet. At most, she's probably just two or three months pregnant. When she does get further along, I wonder what it will be like for her? We've never seen one of the mares on the show carrying a baby in them before so this might also be the first time we see an actual birth on the show.

As for the grandparents-to-be, Twilight's mom will probably be thinking, "This old grey mare she ain't what she used to be".  :lol  Sorry, bad joke. In all seriousness, I bet they'll love their new grandchild. Twilight was excited by the news so I wouldn't be surprised if her parents are just as ecstatic.

I thought /MLP/ was the 4Chan for Bronies? Oh, well, I love /MLP/. Those guys are always hilarious  :lol I've never visited Ponychan much so I have no real idea what it's like. Also, somewhat OT but I don't really think 4Chan is that bad. I've been there a couple times and aside from some weird posts, it's hardly the most horrifying thing I've seen on the Internet. I've seen and read about things on the Internet that make 4Chan look tame by comparison.

Huh. Well I guess the child can't really be complained about since he/she doesn't even exist yet. As for when the reveal happened, well, it was different that's for sure. I think it would have been kind of cliched to have it happen near the end so having it happen at the beginning was kind of refreshing. Still, I guess I can see why it wouldn't work well with others.

I still can't wait to see when Cadence and Shining's kid is born. I wonder if it'll be Princess Skyla or a different character.

I had to scroll through my last post just to see if I said anything about wanting Let's Plays to go away. It's been awhile so I just wanted to make sure. Hmm...Nope. Said nothing like that. What I said was I don't see what's so great about watching somebody scream their head off like a child while playing a video game. Not even close to the same thing. Please don't put words in my mouth. Did you even read the part where I said there ARE let's players I do like? Kr1tikal, DSP (ironically), and to add one more, the Vinesauce guys. I watched a little bit of Vinny's MGS 3 playthrough and *le gasp* I actually enjoyed it. So no, you're not right about me wanting Let's Plays to "go away".

Unless you mean my saying Let's Plays are a fad, which, no offense I do stand by. However that's also not saying I want to them to "go away". I don't expect them to ever "go away". But what I do think is that in a few years, they're not going to be nearly as popular as they are today. Some other big thing will come along on the Internet and everyone will flock to that. Kind of like how angry reviewing was the big thing back in the mid to late 2000s. It's still around it's just not as prominent as it once was.

As for the Kimmel sketch, did I ever say it was just Let's Players and their fans reacting to this? One more checkaroo...no. I said the Gaming community, not the Let's Play community. And no, moronic is not the word I would use. Sickening is more accurate. Wanting a guy and his friends and family to die because he doesn't understand something you enjoy is beyond overreacting and downright ridiculous. The people who sent him death threats have only proven Kimmel's point as well as the points of the people who already didn't have a good opinion on gamers. The skit itself wasn't even bad so I don't get what the issue was.

I understand that over the years, people have said things about the gaming community that hasn't sat well with gamers. And I can understand why those things haven't gone over well. With that said, however, threatening these peoples' lives is not the right way to handle it. As much as I don't like say, Anita Sarkessian(don't think I spelled that right) and Zoe Quinn, I don't think they deserve to have their lives threatened either especially since these types of people thrive on that stuff (you threaten their lives, you just give them ammo to work with). I'm not saying I agree with their views or side with them. I just wish gamers and gaming sites would stop giving them attention. Heck, I don't want any Let's Players to die, I just wish some of them wouldn't be given so much attention.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that. I was pretty surprised that MLP would use such a complex word on their show. At first I thought Pinkie was saying that she was being too literal with her Pinkie Promises. I had to play that one more time just to make sure I heard her correctly

AWW YEAH!! CALLED IT!!! Shining Armor and Cadence are having a kid!! I wonder when the baby's going to be born. Will season six's opening episodes focus on Cadence giving birth to her child or will the birth happen before this season ends?

Last week and this week's episodes were fantastic. Having to keep a secret from your friends is never easy and I was actually expecting Pinkie to blow it near the end. That Pinkie was able to keep the secret despite how tempting it was to tell Twilight the news really shows what a great friend she is. Twilight's reaction to becoming an aunt was actually pretty similar to how I reacted when I discovered I was going to be an uncle. It's one of the coolest surprises you can ever receive and had my brother and sister-in-law been able to tell me the good news face to face, I probably would have reacted exactly the same way as Twilight.

Seeing Shining geek out over things from his childhood was just adorable as was Twilight eagerly looking forward to doing one of Shining's scavenger hunts. I thought that was a great way to tell Twilight about the new baby. I thought Cadence would have spoken with Twilight alone and then Twilight would have excitedly told her friends afterward.

Yet another season five episode I consider one of my faves. With only seven episodes left, I think season five is definitely going to go out with a bang. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

It's stuff like that which is a major reason I'm sick of the Brony fandom (no offense to any Bronies here. You guys have been cool). I know not everyone agrees with certain choices a series might make and I can understand why that might be. Yet, to throw a hissy fit every time a series changes its status quo is quite frankly childish and even pretty selfish. I liked and still like the idea of Twilight becoming an alicorn. I may have been somewhat uncertain about it but I digress. Twilight worked hard to get that far. Why shouldn't she have been recognized for her progress? I think any one of us here would want our efforts to be recognized in such a way.

I think Cadence and Shining Armor having a child would be pretty cool and c'mon, Auntie Twilight would be adorable!

How much you guys want to bet Cadence and Shining Armor are going to have a kid? That seems to be what most people believe is going to happen. Could this mean Princess Skyla will be canon? http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/im...=20130326024954

As ugly as the toy is, there is some pretty cute fanart of Skyla https://derpibooru.org/118802?scope=scped6f...fb1b94533528314

Didn't seem that way to me. I actually thought the plot line with Pip becoming class president was wrapped up a lot quicker as it kind of just came and went. DT's redemption I thought was pretty decently paced.

THIS is how you do an anniversary celebration. Normally I find MLP to be a little predictable (not necessarily a bad thing mind you) but with this episode, I NEVER, EVER expected to not only see Diamond Tiara, who was probably one of, if not the most detestable character on the show actually be redeemed but for the CMC to actually get their Cutie Marks! As weird as this may sound, I'm actually pretty proud of them. Yeah, I'm proud of three fictional horse kids. They've really come a long way since they first started looking for their talents and I think it's awesome that they'll still go on being the Cutie Mark Crusaders just crusading in a different way.

Diamond Tiara having a difficult home life was kind of expected yet at the same time it wasn't if that makes any sense. To think that the whole time she's been making fun of others just to mask her own insecurities. And yes, I know this is common for most bullies but I never thought it would be a defense mechanism for DT. Since the beginning of the show, I thought she was just being horrible just to be horrible.

The only real issue I had with this episode was that there were too many songs. It sort of reminded me of Magical Mystery Cure with how many songs it had. The songs weren't bad in any way (they were actually quite good) I just think there didn't need to be so many of them.

On a last note, seeing Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash congratulate Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, and Sweetie Belle for getting their Marks was so touching. I teared up during the whole scene, especially at the part where AJ mentions their parents being proud of Apple Bloom if they were there. Since word of god says they're dead, it made that part all the more touching and sad at the same time. Rainbow Dash calling Scoots her little buddy was so adorable as was Rarity telling Sweetie Belle how much of an inspiration she is.

EDIT: I just realized. Now I have to paint Cutie Marks on my Funko CMC figures since they're outdated now. DAMMIT HASBRO!! /joke

Fantastic episode. One of, if not my most favorite episode not just of this season but of the whole series.

Happy fifth birthday MLP! Five years and still just as fun (if not more so) than the day it started. Hope we'll be able to get another five years from this series.

Just finished watching Brotherhooves Social. I liked that Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo finally got some recognition as "sisters" and I thought it was pretty sweet that the Sisterhooves Social's idea of a sister is basically someone you're close to and see as family. That's how I've often looked at my closest friends. Not simply as friends, but more like siblings.

Big Mac in drag was quite a sight to behold if not a little gross (not saying crossdressing is gross mind you). The voice he used as Apple Bloom's cousin was pretty hysterical and I was pretty surprised that the other ponies didn't notice "Cousin Apple Orchard" was a stallion during the singing competition. Really? None of them noticed the deep voice or the very visible Adam's Apple?

The scene at the end was my favorite part of the whole episode. It was just so beautiful and touching and yes, I teared up during it. I loved that Apple Bloom assured Big Macintosh that even though she might not always show it, Big Mac will always be one of her heroes. I think that was one of the sweetest moments in the whole show.

A great, fun episode. One of my favorites from season five. I hope Big Mac gets some more episodes in the future.

Twenty-four and I've had one relationship and dated three girls (two of them only once and the other was the only real girlfriend I've had). Still hoping I find the right girl someday as I'd like to settle down someday and start a family of my own.

Anyway, you've still got a lot of time. I'd suggest just enjoying the time you've got as a kid. Don't try to rush it. If you meet the guy (or girl) you think is right, then try to get with him/her. It could take awhile but when you meet the right person, that waiting will be worth it in the end.

Question: what are the differences between the cut and uncut versions of Friendship Games? What kind of stuff was taken out?

I'm pretty sure Coco's name is still pronounced the same way. It didn't seem any different to me.

The Cutie Map returns! I love the episodes that have to do with the Cutie Map. It's a great plot device that I hope will get more use throughout the series. I like that we get to see Coco again but while Rarity and Applejack were in Manehattan, all I could think about was when are they going to visit Babs? Not necessarily in this episode but whenever they visit Manehattan? They've been there twice and not once has Babs been seen.

I found the message in this episode and the theme of a neighborhood coming together to help out really touching. I certainly wasn't expecting that to be the big message. I also liked that AJ's hat doesn't get magically fixed by the next scene. That actually surprised me a bit as I'm so used to a cartoon character's damaged clothing magically fix itself up within a scene or two. Nice attention to detail on the animators' part. Also, did anyone else notice that when the ponies are all watching the play, they're sitting in the road? Isn't that kind of...well dangerous, not to mention obstructing traffic? I know it's a cartoon but still  :lol

Another fun episode.

EDIT: YAY! I've finally figured out how to make my text black! Thanks to Pokeplayer for showing me!

Man, good thing Spike wasn't with Rarity or Rainbow Dash. I don't think he'd be able to take seeing Rarity seduce so many men  :lol

This was a really fun episode. I loved the noire angle and Rarity makes for a much better detective than Pinkie (no offense to ol' Pink). It was pretty obvious from the beginning who the culprit was but it was still an enjoyable mystery.
