Vote the worst movie 7 song here.
-
Well considering there are Beyond the Mysterious Beyond, Very Important Creature, Good Inside, and a tiny reprise of Mysterious Beyond that doesn't really count, I'd say Good Inside
-
I don't remember Good Inside at all, so I guess I'll vote for that.
-
There isn't any bad song in 7 in my opinion so it's futile to try to pick a "worst" song...
btw, why didn't you do a poll? :)
-
yea I personally wouldn't call any of them bad
-
Very Important Creature for me, but only a little bit less than Good Inside. Still, Movie 7 has pretty good songs overall, especially considering how I just recently watched 13 ;) .
-
Good Inside can go screw itself.
-
I actually like all the songs in LBT 7.. One of the reasons it's one of my favorite sequel as I can actually indure the songs and not skip them.
-
sorry double post

To me "good inside" sounded way too forced and clichee.
I kind of liked very important creaturs not because of musical quality, but because it gave a pretty good insight into how Pterno's mind works. I considered it one of the most "informative" land before time songs.
In terms of musical quality I would rank "Beyond the Mysterious Beyond" on top.

I don't think so. Or maybe I just don't care about things being cliche. Anyway, it was totally in-character for Ducky to think the way she expressed in the song. She always sees the good in others, however naive that may be. In Pterano's case, she was right. He did have a good side after all. It was furthermore also in-character for Ducky to be encouraging which she was in "Good Inside".
The song itself is totally alright. I like the melody and the animation during the song really fits the lyrics.

I agree. I used not to like it too much because, musically, it's not that great a song but lately I've began to appreciate the meaning behind the song (and, let's admit, Rinkus' and Sierra's contributions to the song are rather funny :p)
Beyond The Mysterious Beyond is simply wonderful. It's among my favourite songs.

Not a fan of Good Inside or Very Important Creature. This was one of the worst movies song wise, to me.

LBT 7 had Beyond the Mysterious Beyond, including a gorgeous instrumental version of it in its end credits. This redeems the "songs" factor for this movie for me and has become one of my favorite songs from the series. :) :DD
As a result I'd have a really hard time saying "LBT 7 has bad songs", at least compared to the rest of the series.
If I had to pick a "Worst song" from LBT 7 though, that's easily "Good Inside". While "Very Important Creature" wasn't a song like many others in the series, it serves more purpose than most LBT songs. It at least has that going for it, as well as being one of the only "villain" songs in the series (depends if you count Who Needs You).
"Good Inside" was just kind of obnoxious, I thought. Not much redeeming about that one at all. :lol

I can't say that I dislike any of the songs in 7, though "Good Inside" was definitely the weakest. "Beyond the Mysterious Beyond" is beautiful, and "Very Important Creature" did a great job at showing Pterano's motivation. "Good Inside" isn't bad imo, but it's definitely average and cliche, especially when the other two songs are so good.
-
Oh, I really liked “Beyond the Mysterious Beyond.” Not that the song had a particularly distinct melody, but it was dripping with thoughtfulness and curiosity. Would but the same level of effort had been invested in the other songs (except Pterano's number) and the script. And it goes a long way towards making up for the Rainbow Faces' underused-ness (though it also although serves as a reminder of their wasted potential).

Good inside was okay not the best Song. It's hard to pick since none of these movie songs to me where that bad to be honest. So it's tough for me to say witch song was bad in this movie.

I realize this topic is a bit old, but I just needed to comment on one thing about why many think "Good Inside" is not a good song, and it's a sentiment I understand and agree with.

The thing with Good Inside is that while it may be in character for Ducky to be sympathetic towards someone like Pterano, which is incredibly understanding on her part, it dismisses the fact that when you're faced with people that are being cruel and doing something wrong, they need to be called out on it no matter how "well-intentioned" they are or even if they have their moments of kindness and other "good" qualities.
I mean, as kind as Ducky is, she even has her limits, notably in the sixth and fourteenth sequels. She calls Petrie out for his "helpful advice" on that there's a river she can swim in if she falls with a sarcastic "Oh I feel so much better now!" And Cera when she was leading them the wrong way, she didn't do that in the first movie, so I thought that showed a subtle character growth on her part.
It doesn't matter if someone is reluctant to do something objectively "bad" or expresses hesitance, if they're still following through with that, they deserve whatever punishment that is thrown their way. Pterano is the adult making the choice to kidnap Ducky. Ducky's a child and doesn't owe Pterano any consideration. It's only out of the goodness of her heart that she does.

Hey, well said :birthday
-
I chose Good Inside; it's not a song I'd choose to listen to on a regular basis; maybe only when I watch the movie.
-
I listen to it on a semi regular basis and I still enjoy listening to it since it has a decent beat to it.
-
IMO, there's not really a contest. Good Inside, while not bad, wasn't musically that great and it's message is pretty cliche. Beyond the Mysterious Beyond is one of my favorite LBT songs, with a fitting melody and good lyrics. Very Important Creature is musically decent and very informative about Pterano's plans. I like the latter two songs whereas Good Inside is just meh.
-
Very important creature is a okay song it's not that good of a message type song tho. Good Inside to me has more of a better message in it than the song Very Important Creature. Yes it has a good melody to it it's just okay to me. I listen to it once in a while on it's own.
-
I'm going to pretty much echo everyone else here. I really like all of the LBT 7 songs, but the "worst" of them is definitely Good Inside. It has a good message and a decent melody, but I find it kind of underwhelming compared to the songs it's being pitted against. In fact, Beyond the Mysterious Beyond happens to be my #1 favorite LBT song, and Very Important Creature is pretty amazing too, so I'd easily pick Good Inside.
-
I'd agree with everyone that "Good Inside" was the worst: not because it was bad, but just because the other two songs blew me away! :wow
