Some Random stuff from my old archives.

This picture was drawn for exchange with a friend from one of my numismatic groups. She was giving me a huge box of fake chinese coins, I gave her this drawing as a return favor. =)

And now for some illustrations that I did for a story I wrote a long time ago:

Some of my best photoshop works:

This may seem like any normal coin, but really, I edited it to bear the head of my most favorite comedian, Mike Nelson. Took a great deal of work! And I was trying to impress the guy because then I had connections. =)

An old and very silly self promotion picture of my internet alias. look, laugh, choke, repeat.

------------------------------------------------------

These images were fan images of one of my most favorite webcomic characters, in a sort of videogame crossover mode. Millie is from a webcomic called Ozy and Millie, if you havent heard of it, read it! www.ozyandmillie.com

Well, usually when I join a community of said interest, and the community has a decent amount of members who are there to greet you from the start, I find that I desire to stay longer.

and who knows, perhaps even make it my new internet home.

granted, I'm a sort of forum hopper, a person who daily visits a favorite forum of certain interests and just keeps going from there

EDIT: Ha ha ha, do you think I've "dragged" this thread too much, action9000?
Haha naw!  It's close enough to "on topic" for me. :p
just for the ell of it.. for people who go off topic unintentionally.. there should be a special forum for ADD persons

 XD

I kid you guys!

Its a fun and very educational hobby. People who get into the ancient numimatics begin to learn a great deal of history as they collect. One can learn so much from just a single coin.. there are books upon books talking of Ancient Rome, Greece and several other cyvilizations and their currency. You learn about the many emperors, kings and queens..

and to make it even more interesting, when holding these pieces, one cant help but wonder who exactly handled these coins.

there's still a nasty bit of work to be done when it comes to the hobby... coin cleaning...

the coins are sold from lots that were dug up from excavations, or metal detecting.. most come still dirty.. and so, the person who buys them often has to do the dirty work.. that crust is rock hard mind you!

Hi and welcome to the Gang of Five! :D  :wow
Sounds like you will definitely bring some great and interesting things to the table here, AvestheForumFox (may I call you Aves?) B)

While I don't have many material collections, I'm always happy to pick up a CD or music score.  The closest thing I have to a "collection" is probably one of:

my digital audio collection (over 25GB and counting) or my Stepmania song collection (3064 songs and counting.  See my signature for details).  Anyway, I look forward to seeing you on the forum! :yes
Indeed, sir,
it tis a pleasure to be here among a good lot of fine individuals.

Music is a good thing to collect, it brings your suroundings to life and takes away the feeling of loneliness (accordingly to what kind you listen to)

I listen to orchestral pieces, mostly sound tracks from major films or videogames. I have a strange taste other than that on what kind of music I seek. I like music that sets a mood.. the original music from the first LBT for example, a hauntingly brilliant piece!

I've got a chipped silver dime (my brother has a mint condition one), a lot of interesting quarters, and a lot of dollar values coins (Susian B. Anthony?) and half-dollar value coins, plus some foreign coins.
the Susan B Anthony coins a re pretty common still.. you can exchange a dollar for one at the bank. You could also get as many $2 dollar bills as you want just as long as you have two dollars to spare for one bill

anyway, since you seem interested, i'm working on uploading some pics of my collection

I like the state quarter trade B) nice designs for each state.

I usually try to collect the old American silver coins, barber dimes, civil war coins, etc the trouble with collecting American currency is that most of the dealers can be a bit rude

Surely there's another collector around here somewhere.. ancient numismatist are kinda rare unless you know where to look (there's thousands of communities for this hobby) But surely, there are people on these forums who collect things, whether it be world coins, stamps, paintings, etc

Greetings Sirs (and Ma'ams)
I come from distant lands of the interwebs in sheer interest of what this site has to offer.  I am indeed one of those rare fans who grew up with the original (1988 release)  of TLBT

Honestly, I never really cared much about the sequels, the original was what stole my heart.

But anyway... who the heck am I?

Oh right, let me explain myself...

I am an artist, a writer, I can act if I wanted or maybe even sing, I've coded games before and hosted many web communities, I currently host two webcomics (not so popular) and I'm an illustrator for a film that's currently in the makes... also, I currently live the sad sad life of a low paid factory worker, which is why I often seek pleasurable escapes (ala forums such as these)

I'm a fan of a huge variety of things, whether it be Disney or Don Bluth classics, MST3K (Mystery Science Theater 3000) a huge variety of videogames mainly in the adventure and exploration genre, several novels (Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, J.K. Rowling Steven King and many others!) and a variety of webcomics (anybody ever read Ozy and Millie?)

I'm a collector of artifacts from all over the world, including a small collection of ancient Roman and Greek numismatics (coins) dating in and near the BC era.

and uh.. well.. that's all I can sum up right now...

I could tell you everything, but it'd take a book or two XD

anyway.....
Greetings!  :D
