Here's the new RP i came up with, I'll start, of course.
Chomper woke up. The little rex had a good night's sleep. His parents were sleeping next top him. "Wonder where my friends re," Chomper thought to himself. Chomper's friends in the MB included Ruby, Misty, Pearl, and many more. But before that, he decided to wake his parents up, giving them a nudge.
(Hey GVG, if you don't mind, could you use the names I gave Chomper's parents in SV?)

Wlsewhere, a large belly dragger and a small sharpbeak were arguing. "You let our prey get away again!"Dil complained annoyed. "You were just too slow," Icky retorted. "Maybe we should find our friends (Chomper and Ruby's families) and have them help us hunt, they're more skilled than you," Ichy taunted

Deon woke up and looked at the sky, it was near dawn. He slowly got up. His brother awoke soon after, both sneaking off so they didn't wake up the rest of their sleeping family. Once they were a short distance they started to stretch a bit to help them wake up more.

"Mom, I wanna go play with my friends," Greg said to Dil. Dil smiled. Her son calmed her down whenever Ichy would annoy her. "Sure sweety, just be back for lunch," Dil replied. Greg smiled and went off.
As he was looking for chomper, Greg passed by Deon and his brother. The young belly dragger had seen them before, albeit not talked to them, and waved "hi" to them as he went passed. It did not sound like Redclaw was in the area.....for now.

Deon and Blue-eyes waved. "Hi." Deon said as he and his brother waved and Greg and Dil walked by.

Elsewhere in the Mysterious Beyond, and not too far from where Chomper's parents always resided, Ruby stretched and awoke to find her own family about her but not up yet. She smiled, noticing the bright circle was up.
"The bright circle is very bright today" she observed to herself, "perhaps that means Redclaw won't be causing problems which are inconvenient for all of us". It was a very optimistic wish, yet not impossible.
She noticed her younger siblings still asleep and not having to heart to wake them simple moved off from the nest to get a drink of water from a nearby water source.
Misty the egg napper was on the other side and she smiled as she spotted the Fast Runner. "Good morning Ruby" she greeted.
"Oh good morning, Misty" Ruby smiled back, "did you sleep well for the time you were sleeping?".
"Considering I got to wake up and Redclaw isn't here, very much so" Misty answered.
"Yes, it is always good when Redclaw is so far away that he is not nearby" Ruby agreed.

Screech gave a growl of annoyance and turned from the bright circle which was shinning in his eyes. As he did so he glanced about to see if Redclaw was nearby wanting anything just yet. It didn't appear so, so he just closed his eyes to try and grab up whatever sleep he could before his and Thud's "leader" began demanding things once again.

Elsewhere, in a cave, a lone flyer, Cree, who had lost touch with his family ever since that trip of theirs to the Great Valley when his youngest brother, Tylr, had insisted on sticking with those longnecks and threehorn who had labeled him a bad egg from the start! Like he would have wanted to travel with them even if they'd let him!
Even his sister and other brother, Pterano, had said it was probably a good thing to stick with the annoying "Valley herd" as they were now called. Well he'd heard Pterano just got kicked out later one, served him right and Cree's only regret was that he hadn't gotten to see it!
It meant that Ptearno was in the Mysterious Beyond somewhere, but like the others of their sibligns they'd lost touch with even longer ago, Cree hadn't met up with him since nor did he want to!
As he walked out of the cave, Cree noted that a group of swimmers were apprently stock piling some green food after pulling it from the trees for some reason rather than eating it then. As odd as this was, Cree also found it usefull and he just flapped by when they were distracted and grabbed up a clawfull or two of easily got greenfood and flapped on before they even noticed.
Landing on a tree a bit from the scene, Cree smiled to himself, "Always tastes better when you steal it for some reason" he smirked.

Ruby's father awake a short time later and started to move a bit slowly, not seeing the need to immediately jump up. He noticed Ruby had likely woken up earlier and had left. He raised his head and saw her not to far away.

Deon saw the body of water near where their family had slept and ran towards it and jumped in and started to swim after fish to catch one. His brother took his time making his way over there, seeing no need to hurry.

Chompers mother Terri awoke after feeling her son nudge her several times trying to wake her. She opened her eyes and smiled.
"Good morning Chomper...how are you today my son?" she asked in a gentle voice trying not to wake her mate. She stood up and stretched as she asked Chomper "Would you like to go hunting now or later?"

Pterano had been awakened by the bright circle as it rose in the sky and shined in his face. While he welcomed the warmth it brought it also gave him memories of a time where being part of a family meant something...and more importantly when being part of a family meant that you weren't exiled for one simple mistake.
Pterano then spread his wings and was about to take off when he heard a particular commotion off in the distance. He then flapped his wings and flew close to the disturbance and found a couple of Swimmers arguing. Thinking this was a good opportunity to test his persuasion skills Pterano flew low to the ground and extended a greeting.
"Hello there...i don't mean to interrupt but you seem to have a problem on your hands, can I be of any assistance?"

Pearl yawned as she opened her eyes to greet the day. She looked up for a moment forgetting where she was. It was then that she remembered she was staying with Ruby and her family. Pearl then stood up and looked around and saw Ruby not far away and decided to say hello.
After landing next to Ruby Pearl smiled.
"Good morning Ruby, and hello Misty." she said in a cheery and enthusiastic voice.

"I feel good mom," Chomper smiled. "But we'll do the hunting a little later, ok? want to play with my friends for a bit."

Elsewhere, all of the friends had agreed to meet at Ruby's place Some of Chomper's sharpteeth friends Rita the sharptooth, and Rory and Myra the fast biters arrived. "Hey guys," Rory waved in leafeater.
Greg soon arrived, as did chomper

Terri nodded her head as her mate began to wake up.
"Alright Chomper. You may go and play...just be careful." she said with a smile.

Chomper waved to his mother as he left, and soon arrived at Ruby's.

With a huff and putting her hands on her hips, one of the swimmers turned to the flyer, "No thankyou! We've had enough of flyers today!" she began.
A friend of hers stepped forward, "Will you quite it with that stupid story?! You stole them and you're just making up this story about a flyer swooping in a stealing the green food just to cover for it!".
"I am not!" the other swimmer turned from talking to Pterano, "I saw exactly where our missing food went, you guys were just too busy gathering it, and I'll thankyou for not labeling me a liar!".
One of the swimmers not in the argument directly winced and explained to Pterano, "Thanks for the help, really" she said, "Sorry my friends there are too busy to explain, we turned around after gathering some green food at one time to save trouble later and special pile of special leaves that she gathered" the swimmer indicated her first friend, "and wanted to save were gone, and she was standing nearby" here the other swimmer was pointed to.
"They say I stole them when I clearly saw that yellow flyer swoop past and grab up the pile, but then in this world apparently your guilty until proven innocent!" she yelled at her friend who had been accusing.
"What flyer would vindictively steal our green food like some juvinile adolescent?" the other swimmer asked.
"Stop using big words just to get past me!" was the yelled back response.
The swimmer not fighting put her hand to her head, "I think about leaving many days..." she said half to herself, "but anyway, yeah, that's the story, she either ate them or a yellow flyer bullyingly stole them".
Off not as far from here as he should have been, Cree peered past the slight tree cover to watch this fight...and noticed who the swimmers were confiding in.
"Really...with the one hundered or something other square inches of the Mysterious Beyond" he sighed.
He also frowned though and decided that now might be the best time to try and beat a hasty retreat, so he turned to begin to flap off.

"So what should we do for the time we have until Redclaw might ruin everything?" Misty asked.
"I am just going to enjoy the water that, like you said, we get to enjoy" Ruby said, getting in for a swim.
"Well..." egg nappers weren't known for swimming, but they they could do it. Misty slowly got in, wanting to, like Ruby had said, enjoy the day while they could.
Both of the girls turned as Pearl came over and smiled. "Hey Pearl" Misty said.
"Yes, hello Pearl, hello" Ruby greeted as well, "Like I already asked Misty before asking you now, how did you sleep?" the Fast Runner asked considerately.
"Hi Chomper" Mist turned to greet him too.

"Hi there," Chomper, Rita, rory, Greg, and Myra waved back.
"Swimming sounds good," Myra said in leafeater. Chomper and Rita nodded. They had trained their arms to become more strong and swimming was possible for the two sharpteeth

Ruby's mother woke slowly, with a quick stretch. She spotted Ruby a little ways off, smiled as she appreciated the apparently Redclaw-free morning, then contented herself in keeping an eye on her still sleeping children.

Redclaw lumbered about, growling softly. His night had been sleepless and uncomfortable, which had left the sharptooth in a particularly foul mood. After bending down at a water source for a quick drink, the terror of the mysterious beyond continued on his way, snarling a summon to Screech and Thud. Redclaw was on the prowl, and that was never a good sign.

Ruby's father slowly started to get up, being sure he didn't accidentally awaken any of their younger children. He saw his mate was awake and smiled as he quietly said to her, "Good morning". He got the rest of the way up, doing a bit of stretching and yawning as quietly as he could.
Ruby's younger brother opened his eyes, "Already morning, but I just went to sleep." He said.

Deon and Blue-eyes had their fill of morning fish and after drinking some water and washing off decided to look for some others.
"Where do you think we should go?" Deon asked his older brother.
"Let's try in the direction the bellydraggers we saw were headed in." Blue-eyes said.
"Yea, lets go right now." Deon said and started to go in the direction at a slowish jog.
Blue-eyes started off at the same speed, "Don't get to far ahead, stay together." He said.

After dropping off her son with his friends, Dil went hunting.
She eventually caught up to Deon and blue-Eyes. "Hey there," she said.
"Race ya to the waterhole," Rory said to everyone else.

Ruby paddled along in the water, Misty following but not as well. "Paddle your arms and they will paddle better to help you swim" Ruby advised. Misty tried it, "Boy swimming is harder than it looks" she said.

Screech raised is head up, giving a growl of his own at Redcalw's call. He nudged Thud though and jogged over near where Redclaw was.
"You hollered?" he said in sharptooth.

"Agreed," Rita said in leafeater, "But I learned eventually," the girl rex added with a smile.
"Hopefully Redclaw won't ruin our fun," added Rory.

Deon waved in return, "Hello, how are you doing?" He asked.
"Hello." Blue-eyes said waving also.

"Just going hunting," Dil responded casually. It was her instinct, you couldn't really blame her.
Meanwhile, the kids were swimming in the water, Rory and Myra started a splash fight just for fun.

Ruby's mother returned her mate's smile, and laughed lightly at her son. "Good morning, to the both of you! Well, to the three of you, but I suppose Ruby wouldn't know that I have wished her a good morning if she can't hear me."

Redclaw snarled down at Screech and Thud, a way of greeting his minions that had become traditional. He ignored Screech's inquiry for the time being in favor of a quick survey of his surroundings. Nothing in his immediate range of vision, except for a flier or two flittering around some ways off. Sounds didn't reveal much more, but a short breeze carried with it a complex array of scents that betrayed the general commotion that Redclaw had been searching for.
A low growl rumbled in Redclaw's chest as he turned to address Screech.
"Time to hunt, and reaffirm our territory."
A phrase uttered clearly in Sharptooth, by a sharptooth of few words.

Ruby's Dad nodded, "You can tell her yourself, she's not far off." He said indicating the direction where Ruby was with his head.
Ruby's Brother started to get up. "Guess since I"m awake I may as well get up." He said.

"The fish in the watering hole we left taste great and there are plenty left." Deon said.
Blue-eyes nodded, "There fish in the watering hole indeed. Good luck in your hunting." Blue-eyes said.

Dil had fish before and liked it, but she also fed her family leafeaters from time to time, but you couldn't blame her. "Thanks," the belly dragger mother smiled.
Meanwhile, Greg splashed Ruby and Misty with water using his belly dragger tail.

Screech nodded and followed along with Redclaw towards where he was heading, even moving out ahead to sniff and try and find whatever Redclaw was after before him just to be able to help point him in the right direction.

"Hey! Watch it, some of us are just learing how to swim!" Misty protested, but she laughed and splashed the belly dragger back with a laugh

"Ok, I'll stop," Greg smiled. "I just hope my mom's hunt goes well." He hoped he didn't creep any of his leafeater friends out by that remark

"I'm sure you'll like them too." Deon said.
"You're propobly hungry so if you want to head their right now, we'd understand." Blu-eyes said.

Ruby's Dad looked at the others with him. "Do you feel like eating a bit first, or getting some water?" He asked.

"Ok, I'll see you around," Dil smiled taking off.

"Well, I myself am a little thirsty." Ruby's mom looked down at her son. "How about you?"

The smell had gotten much stronger, and Redclaw was beginning to hear soft slpashing, short traces of conversation. He stopped walking, and growled for his minions to do the same. The incline that they had been walking on crested a moderate distance ahead of them, and he was certain that their prey would be immediately visible from the top. The sharptooth lowered his massive head.
"Climb that hill, return and tell me what you've seen. Don't be spotted," Redclaw ordered Screech, abruptly.

Then, Chomper's sniffer began acting up. "Oh great, Screech and Thud are nearby, we have to get going," he frowned disappointed.
Luckily, Chomper's father was nearby

Ruby's younger brother smacked his lips a bit, "I am a bit thirsty now that you mention it. Is there some water nearby?" He asked as he started to then sniff around to see.

Deon started to run ahead to where he smelled some more water. "Wee." He said running along and having fun. Blue-eyes continued to run to keep up.
"Don't get to far ahead." He said. He did have to admit that just keeping up with Deon and his younger siblings did keep one fit and from being bored.

Misty, as an egg hunter, was only half unnerved by the comment but shrugged it off.
"Well, you will know if your mom's hunt was well if she catches caught food to bring back" Ruby told Greg.
She frowned as Chomper said he smelled Screech and Thud.
"Oh my, them being here to cause trouble is bound to just be trouble causing and not good at all" she said.
She got out of the water and walked over nearer her family, "Chomper says he can smell the distinct smell of Screech and Thud" Ruby informed her parents with a frown.
Misty, being on her own, quickly got out and headed towards the nearest bushes she could hide in.

Screech nodded and quietly and quickly rushed up the mound, but stopped short of reaching it and hunched as far as he could, creeping just enough to spy.
He turned and rushed back, "That little biter and his fast runner friend along with her family and his parents and the young egg napper, bellydragger and other such young ones are just over there, spalshing in the water" he informed Redclaw.
"but the parents, including that biters father, are nearby". Screech knew hardly anything scared Redclaw, including other sharpteeth, but Chomper's father being nearby was something they would have to take into account and work around.

Meanwhile, with the swimmers talking to Pterano, one of them spotted Cree as he flapped off, "There he is!" she pointed, "he did it! I told you!". The others frowned, so maybe she had been telling the truth.
Cree turned and spotted that he'd been spotted and put on a burst of speed. He'd have just argued and called the swimmers dumb and stupid if Pterano hadn't been there, but he knew there was no way of getting around the situation if his brother was around to point out every lie he said to the swimmers.

Rita (a sharptooth), and Rory and Myra (Fast biters) also could smell the troublesome brothers. "What should we do?" asked Myra

Deon paused as he started to sniff the air, "Is that what I think it is?" He asked looking at his older brother who started to sniff also.
"I think it likely is." Blue-eyes said.

Ichy had flown out of the cave. The sharpbeak caught sight of Deon and blue-Eyes. "Hey, have you two seen a young belly dragger? He's my stepson."

Meanwhile, Dil succesfully took down a few swimmers. "Beat that Ichy," she laughed. Now she had to find her son

Deon shook his head, "No, but we saw a grownup Belly Dragger, she was heading that way to where we got some fish." Deon said pointing on the direction Dil had headed off in.

"While thanks anyway," Ichy said, and continued flying towards where chomper and the others were.

Deon and Blue-eyes continued going in the same direction they were going in, both a bit more cautious since they smelled what may be danger.

Terri looked around as she could smell Screech and Thud as well. She stepped over to her mate and asked, "What should we do? They are certain to try and harm the young ones, and we have to be ready."
Pearl who had stayed behind to play with Misty hid as well when Misty darted out of the water to find shelter. She hid alongside Misty and asked, "Do you know why Screech and Thud are here?"

Pterano turned and immediately saw the flash of yellow that signaled his brother Cree, and almost without thinking he muttered a gruff "Thank you" as he flapped his wings and took to the sky hoping to gain on Cree before he got too far ahead.
"Cree STOP!!! You have a lot to explain for now GET BACK HERE!" Cried Pterano as he put on a burst of speed during his flight.

"Probably to tell Redclaw where we are," Rita whispered to Pearl.

Mist had been about to say the same thing, well actually at Pearl's question her first response had been a "are you kidding?" sort of shocked look, but she now nodded. "Yeah, and something tells me once they tell our trouble's gonna get worse".

Cree couldn't help himself, he turned back in shock at Pterano's statement. "I have a lot of explaining to do?!" he asked shocked, "Oh please, the last flyer I'm gonna let lecture me on good behavior...".
Cree had continued flying while turned the other way, not a good thing, and now hit his head against a low formation of rock. He winced and was forced to land on the base of said rock at least for the purpose of rubbing his head as he muttered.

Deon continued towards where they were headed thinking they had to tell anyone there about Redclaw's fastbiters being nearby. "We gotta tell them." He said as he ran in the direction.
"Yes, they may not yet be aware of that." Blue-eyes said as he kept up with his brother using the slight pause Deon had done to fully catch up.

Pearl frowned at what she'd heard from Rita and was sure Misty's statement was reinforcing her fear. If Screech and Thud did find them, they would all be in trouble.
"Oh...this is bad." whispered Pearl to herself.

Pterano smiled and said to himself 'ahhh...I'm so glad that Cree never learned to do two things at once...at least while flying!' He then landed next to Cree and crossed his wings as he asked his brother a question.
"After all this time Cree why are you still up to no good? We're flyers, we are above stealing from others!"

Redclaw was visibly irritated. Food was difficult to find in the mysterious beyond. One, possibly two fully grown sharpteeth would not be an easy match for him, he had to admit. And yet one of them was not in immediate sight, the other a small ways away... Such a large concentration of smaller prey was very difficult to pass up.
"How far off is the little biter's father?" Redclaw asked, gruffly. He would very likely decide to strike, but he was still debating as to how.

"If it's only Screech and Thud, that's not such bad news. But if Redclaw is with Screech and Thud, which is likely since Screech and thud are usually with Redclaw..." Ruby's mom scanned the terrain for any sign of the two fastbiters. She trusted chomper's nose, but that wasn't exactly a comfort at the moment.

"Mom, dad," Chomper called "Redclaw's nearby!" he said this in the sharptooth language, but luckily, the fast biters and Redclaw didn't hear this

Deon didn't see the others that should be in the area ahead.
"We should hide I think." Blue-eyes said. Deon nodded and they headed off for some trees they could see not to far away.

Veli, a young sharpteeth flyer who was Chomper's friend landed besides Deon and Blu-Eyes. "Redclaw's nearby, you best get out of here," he advised

"Yea but where?"Deon said.
"Trees are to small." BLue-eyes said looking at some of the trees.

“Yeah” Misty agreed, “although if they try anything, Screech and Thud I mean, I’m still gonna kick them so hard they’ll have indi-g-gestion if they try to eat me!” she assured the others, “I mean, if running doesn’t work” she added.

“Hang on…” Cree said while rubbing his head, “Migrane hasn’t gone away…” he heard Ptearno’s words though and sighed, once able, “Oh please, they were on the tree like five seconds before, it’s hardly different than just beating them to the picking, and plus they had plenty others” he argued. He frowned, “In case you haven’t noticed, Squirt”, he still liked calling Pterano that! “this isn’t that soft Valley where everyone picks a day to eat all the tree sweets, ya gotta grab it while it’s there or it might not be there!”. His eyes narrowed as he continued to think “I can thank you, Ptami and Tylr for teaching me that lesson I guess” he spat before smirking, “don’t feel so good when they throw the same treatment on you later, does it?” he asked, “dang traitors” he muttered to himself again.

“Possibly no more than a good jog or few steps from the hatchlings” Screech answered, going off his last sight, he knew forming his own opinion on what to do was pointless, Redclaw would decide and tell them what they were doing.

Ruby nodded at her mother’s words, “Eitherway, we would not want to wait until we knew Redclaw was there because we saw him to know Redclaw was there” she agreed. She looked to her brother and sister, “I will get them to cave that is not in the open for Redclaw to just see” she offered, wanting her younger siblings to be safe.

"And my mom and dad could beat up Screech and Thud," Chomper laughed.
Just then, Dil showed up, prey held in her maw, unaware of Redclaw's presence. "Caught breakfast sweetie," she smiled to greg. "Not now mom," Greg said nervously.

Ruby's dad nodded, "Getting to a cave unseen is a good idea, or going to where Chomper's parents are, if they are closer." He said.
"Yea, they'd make him go away." Ruby's little brother said.

Pearl sighed as she looked outside the bush.
"I don't like this quiet waiting..." She was beginning to shake with fear.

Dein and Terri stood up and stepped forward.
"Chomper stay behind us and if we tell you to run...do it!" said Dein with a serious tone and look in his eyes.
Terri stepped back to try and protect Chomper. "Don't worry." she said "We won't let anything bad happen!"

Pterano scowled at his brother.
"No! Cree, we only taught you to grab it when you were at the end with no options left. Not to steal from those who already have it!"
He then stepped closer to his brother as he said with a raised tone in his voice.
"I am paying for a mistake I made! It was the wrong choice and I have to accept that...I HAVE accepted that, and you should too! Although your exile wasn't an accident. You set yourself up to fail from the very beginning. You should be ashamed of yourself Cree, what would mother think of you now?"

Ruby nodded, "Then I will get them closer to where Chomper and his parents are, so they will be close incase anything happens" she waited until her parents moved too though to walk her brother and sister over towards where she'd last seen Chomper's parents

(I'm still trying to figure out what Cree did that got him not included even in the beginnings of the Valley herd...um, more food stealing perhaps)
Cree's scowl seemed to match Pterano's as he listened, "You always were were one for putting yourself above others" he commented, in all ironies since he'd always been better at that even as a hatchling.
"Well fine, Pterano, you've reached a moral cliff I haven't" by his sarcastic tone, Cree didn't truthfully mean these words, "ya happy?!" he said, hoping his brother would leave him alone now.
On the comment on their mother his frown deepened for some reason and he shrugged, moving off away from Pterano on the cliff face and sitting, "I guess she'd have reason to be disappointed in both of us" he said as he threw the remains of the stolen food, just a few leaves, off the cliff face.
He wasn't going to let Pterano see or be able to tell that what their parents were bound to think of all of this was one of the few things he still cared about. "Probably just say the same thing Ptami did before I left, not say anything and just shake her head" he added without noticing it.

Misty put a hand on Pearl's hand quietly to try and help her quaking, "Don't worry, we'll um..." she couldn't think of much to say to reassure though. She smiled, "Just don't think about the waiting". It wasn't much of a comfort all in all, but it was something. Misty grimaced.

Chomper made his way over to his parents and obediantly stood behind them.
Rita joined him "I hope this doesn't end badly."

Ruby's father nodded, "I think it would be safer over with Chomper's parents, are you all ready go go?" He asked as he stood up.
"Yea, I'd certainly feel safer with them then here alone." Ruby's little brother said.

"I think I smell 2 large sharpteeth that way, and not far." Deon said.
Blue-eyes sniffed, "Yes, I smell then too. They must be the pair of friendly sharpteeth I heard live nearby. Let's go." Blue-eyes said.
"Race ya." Deon said.
"Not if I get there first." Blue-eyes said, hoping to keep his brother from feeling panicking.

Greg went over to Dil and hid with his mother. "Redclaw again?" she asked, in a not-surprised tone

"Yes, that is most definitely a better idea than sitting in plain sight, to be seen." Ruby's mother commented as she began walking, making sure that her children remained in front of her.

Redclaw was making a genuine effort to think things through clearly, to approach this situation with a level head. But the sharptooth was impatient by nature, and his ravenous appetite didn't make things any better. Each moment he wasted on deliberation stoked his agitation exponentially.
At last, the battle was lost. Hunger and rage overwhelmed his meager reasoning, and his senses surrendered to raw instinct. The massive meat-eater thundered to the pinnacle of the incline, muscles tensed against the impact of a sudden stop. Cavernous lungs dragged an invigorating breath of air into their depths, and Redclaw let loose a roar that vibrated through the air like thunder. His nightmarish silhouette bent double in a horrible moment of anticipation; the subsequent strike was inevitable. Any onlooker who had never before experienced the brute firsthand would now know that his reputation was well-earned.

Deon jumped in surprise at the roar. Blue-eyes grabbed him in the air before he could land and continued running towards the smell where they smelled the 2 large sharpteeth to be. Deon squirmed a bit but stopped when his brother wouldn't put him down. He did have to admit that Blue-eyes could run faster then he could, since he had longer legs.

Ruby's father nodded, "Certainly, let's go children." He said and went along with the kids, keeping them in front of him as best as he could.

Dil, Rory, Rita, Greg, Ichy, and Myra followed.
However, an unfortunate longneck was right in Redclaw's path and was unaware of his presence....

Pearl couldn't help but give a small scream at hearing Redclaws roar. She felt safer knowing Rita and Misty were with her. But she still couldn't stop shaking in fear.

Both Dein and Terri were startled by the roar. They looked at each other for a moment and then turned to face a hill off in the distance, and it was then that they saw Redclaw, but he wasn't just standing there, no...he was running down the hill as fast as he could.
Terri in a moment of anger was ready and willing to charge at Redclaw no matter what, but a nudge from Dein stopped her.
"Wait for the right moment." Was all Dein said as they readied for a fight.

No matter how hard he tired to deny it...Pterano just couldn't stay mad at Cree...he was family, and the old saying of flyers flock together was still certainly true. He took a step forward and placed a hand on Cree's shoulder. He didn't say anything though...he was hoping he wouldn't have to to get his point across.

"What should we do mom and dad?" Chomper asked.

Ruby nodded that she agreed with her brother and stayed right by both him and their sister as the family made their way. “Do not worry, Redclaw had many areas of the Mysterious Beyond to control, and he can not be in all of them at once, so he will only stay here for as long as he can stay here”. She knew her statement wouldn’t help them for the time Redclaw was here, but just couldn’t stand for her younger siblings to worry.

Screech, knowing full well before it came that it was coming, braced both himself and his ears for the roar which meant only one thing, Redclaw was done thinking. With screeches of their own backing up of whatever plan Redclaw had, Screech and Thud
(OOC: I’ll borrow him until, and if, anyone wants him, or maybe I should just do both of them. If someone wants one or the other of the pair later though they can just pick one out :D Screech and Thud adoption :lol)
Rushed forward along with him, their eyes concentrated on the best moment to dart in and try to flush out the young ones while Redclaw handled the adults.

“Ok now’s when I wish we weren’t alone hiding in a bush” Misty commented as she flinched from the roar, “but…I wouldn’t say we should dart for any grown-ups now…we’ll just be spotted” she tried to think if there wasn any place better to be than where they were.

Cree’s first response to this was to, of course, in that independent nature of his, jerk aside and glare sharp sticks (ya know, daggers :D) at his brother…yet this melted pretty soon and he just sighed. “Well…I guess pushing aside anyone who has to tolerate me isn’t that smart of a move…” he admitted.
“It just bugs me ya know” he strangely found himself confiding, and of all flyers to confide to! Well…actually it was better than saying this to that goody two claws, Tylr, but still. “they (he knew he didn’t have to say which siblings he meant) have just always had it figured out on what to do, where as I…well if you mad me to apologize to those swimmer right now I’d probably end up doing the same thing I did to that know it all three horn of the Valley herd…call them a dirty, rotten, stuck up rock pusher and slug ëem across the jaw”.
Cree was pretty sure this more than his stealing from some of the adolescents of the group at the time, was why Topsy had ultimately kicked him out.
“I don’t know why” he went on to confide as he paced, “it’ just…I don’t know” he shrugged again. He puffed out a puff of air, “but I’m not getting far the way I am now…so maybe I will try out this ëcooperating’ thing you and the others keep mentioning” he shrugged before actually allowing himself a small smirk of something other than jeering.
Pterano wasn’t perfect, so maybe if there was one sibling to start with getting along with, he was it.

The fact that the longneck in his path hadn't yet fled in terror would have surprised Redclaw, had he been in a state that allowed room for such sensation. As it was, only one thing ran through his mind while the form of the flattooth drew rapidly nearer: Prey. He was on a collision course, and if the unfortunate dinosaur didn't think fast it would soon find itself in a very unpleasant situation.

The longneck looked at Redclaw and only froze in fear.

"We gotta get outta here," Chomper said nervously.

"Who are they?" Deon asked pointing to Ruby's family he saw not far ahead.
"I"m not sure, some fastrunners looks like." Blue-eyes said. He then called out as they headed towards where the fastrunners were. He called out in flatteeth language, "Excuse me, do you know the large sharpteeth just ahead?"
"uh, yes, we do. They are more friendly then some sharpteeth." Ruby's father said, not sure about the fastbiters and surprised they could speak the flatteeth language.
"Mind if we travel with you, there is a not friendly large sharptooth and fastbiters not to far away." Blue-eyes said.

Dil walked over to Dein and Terri. "I'll help you fight if necesary," the big belly dragger commented.

Ruby also didn't know what to think about these fastbiter's approach. "There are many sharpteeth who do not like Redclaw as much as we do not like Redclaw" she realized and pointed out, not telling her parents what to do, since she still wasn't sure herself, but pondering through it herself. She made sure to keep really close to her siblilngs though.

"Yes... I suppose getting away from Redclaw is what we are all doing, and doing so together would probably not be a bad idea."
The fastbiters seemed friendly enough, and Ruby's mom wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. She did, however, fix a wary eye on them, and kept herself positioned herself between the sharpteeth and her children as a precaution.

Redclaw spared no momentum, and barreled full-force into the longneck's side in a powerful ram. The technique was usually used to stun or catch the adversary off guard, but seeing as the longneck was already under the influence of both, the attack would simply serve to afflict some serious damage.

Ruby's Father nodded, "We can go together." He said, keeping his children in front and himself between the two of them, "They are not vary far." He said. Not sure of them still, but they did seem friendly and not many sharpteeth knew the flatooth language, but he would keep himself between this children and was glad Chomper's parents were not to far.
"It'll be neat to see them again." Ruby's brother said, finding it amazing that some folks could be so large as Chomper's parents and some of the other types of dinos they've seen, mainly in the distance.
Blue-eyes nodded, "Good, we have not far to travel then." He said getting a big closer but kept himself from getting to close since he guessed the family of fastrunners would be unlikely, and rightly so, to trust 2 strange fastbiters or sharpteeth.

"Mom, dad, mind if some of my friends stay with us for a while?" Chomper asked his parents.
Rita already lived with Chomper's family, ever since she lost her parents to longnecks....

Both Terri and Dien nodded their heads as Terri said, "Of course, any friend of yours is safe with us!"
Both sharpteeth then stepped forward upon seeing Ruby and her family.
Dien was first to speak.
"Well it's nice to see friendly faces, but I'm guessing you are all running from Redclaw?

"Correct," Rory, Greg, and Myra replied in sharptooth.

"Hello again." Ruby's father says waving. "Nice to see you again." He said to Chomper's dad.
Ruby's brother looked up at him and smiled. Not saying anything at the moment.

Blue-eyes and Deon looked up at Chomper's parents a bit surprised at how large they were. Both smiled in what they hoped were friendly smiles and waved.

Terri sighed as she shook her head.
"Alright, then where exactly is he? I can certainly smell him, but I can't see him yet."
Dein nodded his head as well.
"We I'm glad we can't see him yet, that gives us time to get away, Everyone follow Chomper, and we'll follow you." He said with a grin.

"Over there, killing that longneck," Dil pointed out.
"Follow me guys, my family's cave is a safe place," Chomper called.

Ruby rushed ahead a bit as they all but reached where Chomper and his parents were, "I would be very glad to see you all if I was not seeing you all because we are trying to stay unharmed by Redclaw" she said, she knew Chomper would understand what she meant.

Screech and Thud rushed along beside Redclaw even as he barged into the longneck. "Oh...that looks painful" Thud almost seemed to be taking mean pleasure out of making a joke, and Screech just chuckled in support.
Working for Redclaw was a very stressul job, and Screech and Thud outlet whenever they could.

"So..." as Cree went to continue and try to say something, the swimmers Cree had stolen from just before rushed by the rock once more. "Ok, if you're begging an appolagy..." Cree began at them.
"No time for that!" one of the swimmer's said, "we could care less right now, words been spreading like sky fire that Redclaw's slowly making his way in this direction, and after he's done terrorizing other dinosaurs he meets he'll probably move on to us next".
"So we're not gonna be around for it!" another comment as they rushed on by.
"Not that we like you" a third said to Cree, "but you boys best take our advice and move on before you're just prey in bitting range for Redclaw!", with that the swimmer's rushed on.
Cree shook his head, "dumb swimmers...like we wouldn't have sense enough to fly higher" Cree commented.

"Same here Ruby," Chomper called running. "We're almost there!"
"Wait for me!" Ichy called, flying overhead

Both Terri and Dein smiled when their cave came into view, and to see Ruby and her family safe as well was another good reason.
"Everyone inside now!" said Dein knowing the children would listen. He then turned and began to wonder if Redclaw would be dumb enough to come this way with.
'I certainly hope he doesn't come this way.' thought Dein to himself as Terri stepped inside the cave as well.

Pterano gave a quick stutter of fear as he said the sharptooth's name.
"R-Redclaw...coming this way?!" He immediately turned to Cree and looked him in the eyes for a moment, not afraid to show his fear.
"We have to go now Cree...but where...as long as Redclaw is out there almost nowhere is safe, and we cant fly forever!"
Pterano hated admitting it, but he knew he was getting hysterical, but he really couldn't help it.

Deon and Blue-eyes followed along with the others, "That Redclaw is unnerving, and has the manners of a savage." Blue-eyes said.
"Hurry." Deon said.

Rita, Rory, Myra, greg, Ichy, and Dil all made into the cave.
"We're safe," Rory panted, a little out of breath

Ruby's mom followed her family into the cave, definitely grateful to be out of the open.
"Hello! It is very good to see you both here, though I think Ruby is right in that it would be much better if it weren't for Redclaw."
She trusted Chomper's parents, but being around so many sharpteeth simultaneously unnerved her a bit, and she stayed as close to her children as possible.

Redclaw bellowed in triumph, and saw to the not so pleasant business of finishing the thing off and assuaging his hunger. Upon eating enough to restore most of his sensibilities, he remembered the little biter and his family. A quick look around revealed that, as expected, all of the creatures who had previously occupied the immediate vicinity had fled. Redclaw uttered a soft growl. In his mind, the two larger sharpteeth posed a significant threat and would have to be dealt with sooner or later. For now, though, he was content with his meal.

Ruby wasted no time in running inside with her siblings. “Oh, I hope no one gets hurt trying to make sure Redclaw does not hurt us” Ruby said.

Misty glanced about even as Redclaw’s roars become louder, she spotted a smaller cave off a few paces from them. She nudged Pearl. “Hey…uh Pearl” she indicated the cave, “What’ya think? Stay In the bush and not given away where we are, or try to make it to the cave that might be safer?” she asked .

“Pterano…” Cree took hold of both of his brother’s shoulders, “get a grip!”, he gave his brother a light, considering this was Cree, smack only intended to snap him back to his senses. “That overgrown fast biter (this was a joke on Redclaw’s henchmen) is just a big bully, I should know” Cree calmly went about scouting where they were.
He smirked, “You’d be utterly lost without me ya know” Cree added, enjoying getting to say that. “Ok, if I recall lay out correctly, there’s a link of caves a little ways that way, we could possibly avoid detection there until he passes by” Cree flapped up, semi-pulling Pterano along in case he needed it, “Come on Squirt, just follow me, your big brohter’s got it all figured out” Cree said, taking immense joy in getting to be ontop of something again.
“I mean” he continued as they flapped over to investigate the cave, “the Mysterious Beyond is like huge, he’s got to go somewhere else soon enough and be out of our scales, or if not, we got out of his scales” Cree shrugged.

Screech and Thud all but hopped around nearby. They would have to wait and see if Redclaw left them anything at all, then they could squabble amongst themselves for it, but no one, not even and especially his henchmen, squabbled with Redclaw!

"Don't worry, you'll be safe with us," Chomper assured. Sure he, his parents, Rory, Rita, Myra, Greg, Ichy, and Dil were meat eaters, but they wouldn't eat their friends.

Blue-eyes set Deon down after they had entered the cave. They went the rest of the way in, but kept what they hoped was a descent distance from the fastrunners, not wanting to make them any more nervous then they were.
Ruby's father settled down to rest, "We should be safe in here till they leave, and can take the time to rest." He said as he settled down but in a position where he could get back up in almost an instant if need be. Ruby's younger brother being a bit nervous about the fast biters went a bit farther away from them before he settled down to rest.

"Oh by the way sweetie," Dil said to her son, "I still have breakfast which I caught for you." "Thanks mom," Greg smiled back.
That conversation was spoken in sharptooth so it wouldn't freak out the fast runners.
"So now do we just wait?" asked Rory.

Pearl looked at Misty with a seriousness she didn't know she had as she said, "Yeah! Let's do it, go for the caves I mean. And if Redclaw decides to chase us...and I don't think he will, I'll fly up and get his attention." The last part of her sentence was bit unnerving, but she wanted nothing more than to make sure her friends were safe.

Dein sat down on the ground a short distance from the cave entrance. Just to sit and watch for Redclaw.
Terri lied down next to her mate and sighed as she realized that for the moment, everyone was safe.

Pterano followed Cree if for no other reason than he himself couldn't think of a safe way to go. So he simply nodded his head and flew alongside Cree, but not really listening, as he steadily followed his brother towards one of the same caves that could offer protection.

Greg began chowing down on a swimmer his mom had caught, but was sure to stay out of the sights of Ruby's family and Pearl, in case it grossed them out.
Rita gave Chomper a kiss. "I' love you," she smiled.

In her own usual spot, other sharpteeth or not aside, Ruby settled down between her parents and siblings, as a sort of second line of defense in shielding her siblings since she was so much older than them and felt responsible.
“I hope after our rest we will find an area about without Redclaw about” she said.

Misty frowned at what Peal said at last, “Well…hopefully that won’t happen since I wouldn’t want to leave you behind like that” she said, “but yeah…let’s go”. She peered out, “Ok, one…two…” Misty gulped, “Three!” she cried, darting as fast as she could over to the cave and hoping that they made it the distance from the bush to the cover.

After they reached the cave and landed safely, Cree peered back out and noticed that Redclaw wasn’t in their same area yet, not that he’d expected him to be. He smiled back at Pterano, “See, and now we can wait out that big bully for as long as we like” he said.
“Let’s move further in”. He took few more steps to see what the back of the cave looked like and if it looked like it would house anything else. He was about to comment that if it did he would beat it up for them, but didn’t want Pterano to start freaking out again at the possibility of something else being in here.

"You made it!" Rita smiled in leafeater, seeing Misty and Pearl make it to the cave. "i'm glad you're safe."

Deon looked over at Ruby, speaking in leafeater, "Maybe you can go to the flattooth valley, "He said indicating the Great Valley, "I have some friends who live in there. I don't think Red Claw goes in there." Deon said.

chomper didn't know how to react to that remark. Deon did have a point, she'd be safe from Redclaw, but Ruby was also one of Chomper's best friends, and he knew the inhabitants would never accept him or any of his sharpteeth friends.
"So...you guys wanna play something?" Myra asked in both languages

Even before she had completely stopped flying, Pearl was kissing the ground inside the cave ever thankful not be out side with Redclaw. "We..we made it!" she said with a bright smile.

Terri turned around and said to Chomper, "Don't worry, even if we aren't accepted in the Great valley at least some of your friends will be safe.

Pterano looked around the cave and finally realizing they were safe, he gave a sigh of relief.
"We're safe...finally!" He slumped against the wall and just breathed as he thought about how close Redclaw was.

"I love you mom," Chomper replied, hugging Terri's foot.
"Man, Redclaw gets on my nerves," complained Rory.

"We'd have to play quietly and stay here." Deon said in both languages.
"Play what?" Ruby's younger brother said, not sure if he could trust the sharpteeth fastbiters or not. They did look very scary.

Rory picked up a pine cone on the ground. "How about a round of Toss the Seed?" he offered in both languages.
"That sounds fun," said Chomper.

"Sounds like it could be fun. But would the sound attract Redclaw here?" Deon asked a bit unsure.
-
"We can just stay quiet," Myra said in sharptooth.
"And besides, Redclaw may be full from that longneck," Rita commented.
Chomper was thinking about something. "If only...we could unite every dino we could find here in the Mysterious Beyond, sharpteeth and flatteeth, and fight back against Redclaw."

Redclaw stepped back from the carcass, fully satiated. Hunks of meat still clung to bone in abundance, too small for Redclaw to trifle with, but probably quite a meal for Screech and Thud. The sharptooth idled a short distance away, pondering his next move.

"Ya know...I wondered if we could somehow fight back against Redclaw too," Greg said. "I mean, sure some of us here in this very cave are meat eaters, but we only hunt when we need it. We're not evil like him."

"Yea, and some of us really only eat crawlers and fish. mmm, fish." Deon said, preferring fish, as did his family. I'm friends with 2 swimmers & a flyer, and they we get along with each other, why not us all here." Deon said.
Blue-eyes nods, "Some good points you've all said." He said.
"Could sharpteeth be friends with non sharpteeth?" Ruby's younger brother asked.
"It is possible." Ruby's father said.
"Yea, why not." Deon said smiling.

Ruby seriously thought about what Deon said, “Well…the Great Valley does sound like a safe place for everyone” she said, “but unless everyone could go, I do not think I would want to leave everyone behind to go by myself” she answered. She’d always worry about those of her friends and family left here, she knew.
Misy turned in time to hear Myra’s question and had a pretty sensible answer for a young one. “I am much more interested in staying quiet so Reclaw doesn’t find us” she answered, and sat on the floor in almost worry to do just that.
She listened as, while others brought up the point of being quiet, and as they tried to agree on toss the seed. It did look fun, but she wasn’t sure yet, so she still stayed where she was, sitting with her knees drawn up to her.
Chomper’s statement was most shocking. “But…sharp teeth don’t get along” she said, “well except for you and some of your friends, and even then, how are we gonna get lots of flatteeth to even trust lots of sharp teeth?” she asked.
“It works fine for us, but I don’t know if we can do something like that for lots of dinosaurs” Misty shook her head.
“and there could be other friends who are friends and both sharp teeth and flateeth like us and if we unite with them that would be a bigger group of us working together” Ruby backed up Chomper’s thought.
Misty sighed and leaned her head against the cave wall, apparently she was alone in her thoughts. “But who’s gonna be the brave soul to ask around about such a thing?” she wondered aloud.

OOC: I was thinking Cree and Pterano should meet a crusty old guy in the caves and…well that thought took off a bit…
“Yeah” Cree said, holding back the thought of for now. He scanned the cave once more and found a voice out of the darkness interrupted him.
“W-who goes there…” a hesitant voice said, and so Cree thought it might not be a sharp tooth. In fact a swimmer, looking very worse for the wear but surviving, stepped out of the dark and Cree thought she looked familiar from one day or something…yes
He recognized her as one of the swimmers who had been with the Valley herd when he and his other siblings, Pterano included, had found them. Then Cree looked stunned as he recognized that this swimmer was one of the one’s who had, he heard, been with the group Pterano lead out and lost to a fast biter’s attack…only…weren’t they all dead? This swimmer’s sister, he’d heard, fell off a cliff during the attack even.
The swimmer seemed to look stunned as she noticed both Cree and, more important, Pterano, as well. “Oh…” she said, “oh it’s a good thing Toot’s not in this cave too and doesn’t know you’re here”. Toot had been a one horn also with the group.
“He’s been watching out for me and Ridge (a spiketail) since you…well since the accident where…you left and so probably didn’t find out about us three survived I think”. Oddly, the swimmer’s voice wasn’t accusing at all, just hesitant.
“We’re hiding in different caves now, though, just by accident” the swimmer went on. She chuckled lightly, “I guess…that’s real good for you” she told Pterano…then wondered if maybe she shouldn’t have said that.

Screech and Thud wasted no time in rushing forward to squabble and push at each other in getting at pieces of the meat. In the end they settled it like they always did, squabbling so much one would wonder if they hated each other, but each letting the other get a share.

Pearl was one of the few who was determined not to draw Redclaws attention and quickly clung to the ceiling of the cave as she whispered to the others, "I'd vote for being as quite as possible until we know we are safe....that would be the best course of action for us right now."
Terri smiled at her son's determination.
Dein however was a bit moor realistic.
"Even if we could convince other flatteeth that we aren't dangerous...I'm afraid that some would just use it as an excuse to try and hurt you young ones."

Pterano almost jumped out of his scales when he recognized the swimmer. He began to shake again as memories of that day flooded his mind. He took two steps back and only stopped because he felt his foot slip on the edge of the cave.
"H-how...did you three...s-survive...I was c-certain that everyone...had died. I-I...." stammered Pterano as he stepped back inside the cave with a sorrowful expression on his face. Then he gathered the courage to ask another question.
"W-what do you...mean...good for me? I-I can understand your friends hating me...but...I-I just wanted a chance to lead, and show I could be good at it...." he stammered again in a desperate attempt to plead his case.

Chomper realized his mother had a good point.
"If we work together, we could try to find everyone we can to get along," the little biter suggested. Chomper then turned to Misty. "And despite what you think, lots of sharpteeth get along actually. I've seen sharpteeth hunt in packs before and help each other. Trust me, we can get along."

"We can, though some are just rude or mean." Blue-eyes said as he nodded to what Chomper said.
Ruby's Father nodded, "Yes, Sharpteeth and fastbiters are individuals like anyone else." He said. "Some nice, some not, some somewhere inbetween."

"Don't forget belly draggers and sharpbeaks," Greg smiled, pointing to himself, Dil, and Ichy.

Misty grinned up at Pearl, glad to have an allie in this. “Yeah, I’m with Pearl” she quietly said, pointing up at her.
“Him too” she said to Chomper’s father’s point.
Ruby sighed, “Yes…some might try to hurt us, but couldn’t most of us also fight back against Redclaw so much that Redclaw would not be able to fight us?” she wondered, looking around at the adults, “and Chomper is right, some sharp teeth do work together, we would just have to find those oneës that do and get them to help us”.
Misty sighed, “Well…how about we start with being quieter so we don’t get caught and…maybe” she had to admit, defeating Redclaw did sound like an appealing idea…if they could do it.

“Well, it was almost by accident itself” the swimmer, Aqua replied, “the loose rocks covered a hole, it wasn’t until very far into the fight…when most of us were…gone“, Aqua was almost lost in thought herself as she went on, remembering that day too.
“…that Toot, bleeding and very weak, and Ridge not doing much better, had me backed up behind them and were facing the three fast biters who could now turn their whole attention to us having dealt with the rest of the group…no on was able to kill even one of them, all three were still there…anyway, we backed up and stumbled through a loose part of the ground, forming a hole we fell through. It was really low down, and the fast biters would probably have just followed us in but the rocks caved and covered the hole, making sure they couldn’t. We rested there a bit and then were able to find our way out again. We’ve been taking care of each other ever since”.
Cree’s eyes were wide as the swimmer, Aqua, finished her story. “That’s what I call luck” he breathed.
Aqua was trying to answer Pterano’s last question though, and this time she did frown, “Then why didn’t you stay, try to help us out?” she asked. She sighed, “That’s what Toot kept mumbling about, you just left us, if you’d really wanted to be good at leading you wouldn’t have…he said” she finished.
Cree had been looking between the swimmer and his brother and now voiced an idea he had. “You know…this might be a good second chance op” he told Cree, “I mean if we could convince Toot and Ridge to go along with it, and if we helped you out in avoiding Redclaw…well it’s bound to look good”.
Aqua frowned, thinking, “I don’t know…”.
Cree couldn’t believe he was saying this, but continued, “You would not believe how this guy’s grown” he thumbed behind him at Pterano, “I mean, he could probably lead you and do it right this time” he said, “and then…well like I said it’s bound to look good and sort of make up for before”.
Aqua’s gaze seemed fixed on Ptearno, “Well…I do belive in second chances…but…we’d have to convince Toot” he said, “and that could take some doing”.

"Mom dad, do you know any sharpteeth who'd want to help us?" asked Chomper.

'What would big sharpteeth like Chomper's parents eat if sharpteeth and leaf-eaters worked together, though?' Ruby's mom wondered, though she didn't voice her concerns. "I suppose if Redclaw is ever going to not be terrorizing everyone, we're going to have to work together." She asserted instead.

After a fashion, Redclaw made up his mind. He would patrol his borders while his food settled, as combat was no good on a full stomach. Afterward, he would finally take care of those two large sharpteeth. They had been slinking around his territory for far too long, and Redclaw no longer had the patience for it. He stomped off at a leisurely pace, snarling to get Screech and Thud's attention. They would have probably finished eating by then, anyways.

Chomper knew he and his parents ate leafeaters, but it ws ones who would not talk to them or were by themselves an not part of a any sort of heard. Chomper did love the taste of flyers :DD
"Our parents will help," Rory and Myra said, the fast biters had powerful parents.
"Of course we'll assist you," said Dil and Ichy

"Sounds like that could work. Though getting a group to organize may be difficult." Blue-eyes said.
"Who would be the leaders?" Deon asked, curious.

"How about my parents and Ruby's parents?" Chomper suggested.
"I'll agree with that, how bout you guys?" asked Rita.

"I bet that could work." Deon said.
"Us?" Ruby's father said, a bit surprised at the suggestion.
"I bet you'd be cool at it dad." Ruby's little brother said.

"Yeah, definitely!" Ruby's sister all but shouted, agreeing with her brother.
Ruby's mom gave her mate an inquisitive look. Her first priority was, of course, the protection of her children. But if Redclaw remained at large, they could never truly be safe. "Well, non-sharpteeth would probably be more willing to listen to us than to the fasbiters, or Chomper's mom and dad," she offered.

Ruby's father nodded, "That is true. The question would be how to get them to eventually agree to work together, the non sharpteeth and sharpteeth. Though we could try to get the separate groups of sharpteeth and non sharpteeth to agree to work together before we attempt to think how would we try to assemble them into 1 main group." Ruby's father said.

Dein thought about the suggestion that his son made. Then he smiled.
"That is a great idea my son! I always knew you got your smarts from my side of the family."
Terri grinned as well but decided not to respond to her mates comment but did nuzzle her son in agreement with his idea.

Pterano took a step forward and said almost like a child, "P-Please, I'd like to speak with Toot...if thats okay...I'm sure...sure I can convince him to give me another chance. With your help of course."

"So, knowing Redclaw, we better go find help as soon as possible," Chomper commented.

"That does sound like a wise course of action." Blue-eyes said.
"yea, then we can play and have fun when he's gone." Deon said.
"Play, that would be good." Ruby's little Brother said nodding and liking that idea.

Screech and Thud did catch the summons, and grabbing one or two more mouthfuls which they quickly swallowed, they rushed over to where Redclaw was.

“Mother has a good point that also makes sense” Ruby backed up what her mom said, “we might be needed for the talk between the sharpteeth and flatteeth”.
She smiled at her father’s suggestion. “Yes, that is a good idea” she said, “Smaller groups can get along with each other better than bigger groups and then they can help when we want to get bigger groups up”.
She pat her brother on the head, "Yes, when we can all play unafraid will be a very good thing" she agreed.

Aqua looked unsure for a bit, then smiled, “Well…ok, I mean I can arrange it, but like I said…I can’t be responsible for what he might say”. She tried to smiled reassuringly though, “Come on, it’s just in the cave over there”.
“We gotta go outside?” Cree asked a bit worriedly. “No, there’s a connecting passageway” the swimmer said, and began leading them off. It was on the tip of his beak for Cree to comment on her leading Pterano, but he opted out of making that comment.
“Um, Toot” Aqua called out once they reached another cave part it seemed, “I’ve uh…I’ve got someone here who wants to talk to you”. The one horned dinosaur, followed by Ridge, the spike tail, came out.
“What are you talking about Aq--”. Toot’s sentence died as he saw who the swimmer had with him. “Why you low down, no good!” he started forward towards the two flyers and Cree thought they might have to flap up quickly.
Aqua stopped the half charge though, “Toot he, he just wants to talk” she said.
“I bet” Toot frowned in Pterano’s direction once more, “what lies do you fee like feeding us this time that will almost get us killed?!” he asked.
Ridge frowned at their ëleader’s’ attitude, “Ya know, it has been a while since that happened” he pointed out, not that it looked like Toot was listening.

Terri then spoke up.
"Well then it sounds like this is a settled agreement. So once we are sure Redclaw is gone, how should we send?"
Dien turned his head immediately as he said, "I'm going of course! Who else?"

Pterano flinched at Toots' response to just seeing him. He tried to speak but his voice came out chocked with fear and regret.
"I-I'm so....sorry. I really am, please....you have t-to believe me. If I'd known those fastbitters were going....to be there...I...I wouldn't have....I just wanted to prove that I could be a good leader. I never meant for things to go so horribly wrong!"
It was at that moment that Pterano for the first time since watching the massacre unfold in front of his eyes, that he began to cry.

"We'll go," Ichy and Dil offered.
"What should the rest of us do mom and dad?" Chomper asked.

"Play a nice quiet game in here maybe?" Deon said, suggesting the first idea that came to him.

"Like what?" Greg asked curious

Ruby glanced about and noticed that a crack in the cave let in some of the bright circle's light. "Oh" she said, "we could tell shadow stories, that would be quiet". She made her hands into a shape to show how the game was played.
"Even those without hands, like Bellydraggers could use their tails, I've seen really good shadow stories with tail shadows" she said.
Misty slowly walked over, "Well it would be better than just sitting here" she admitted.

Toot's first response to Pterano's response was for his eyes to narrow suspiciously...but no...those did seem to be genuine tears.
Cree felt as uncomfortable as he had in a while, since for some odd reason he found himself caring that Pterano felt this bad...oh he was going soft he just knew it!
Aqua stepped forward, "It's alright, perhaps all the blame being aimed at you is a bit unfair".
"Well I don't know about that" Ridge said, yet then went on more gently, "but...well it wouldn't have been the first fast biter attack we've encountered".
"We should have been with the bigger group" Toot pointed out, yet then sighed. "But...welll all this time I was under the impression you didn't even care, since you disapeared kinda quickly...I guess...that was unfair".
The one horn sighed deeply, "Alright I won't...bring it up, now why are you two here?" he asked the flyers and looked to Aqua in curiosity that she'd brought them in the first place.
Aqua gave a hesitant smile, "Second chance" was all she said, "we thought....well...".
Toot caught on and rolled his eyes, "Oh come on, I'm forgiving and semi-forgetting, isn't that enough for right now, you want me to put him charge again?! After less than two minutes of meeting back up with him, it's a bit sudden and sprung on me" he pointed out.

"Good idea Ruby," Greg smiled. "As a belly dragger, I can't do much with these hands."
"I'll go ahead and watch for Redclaw," offered Ichy

"It does sound like fun." Deon said.
"It does." Ruby's younger brother said agreeing with him.

"Yeah, I love Ruby's shadow stories!" Her sister quipped cheerfully.
Ruby's mom smiled.
"I suppose... One of us should begin convincing leaf eaters," she stated to Ruby's dad, in even tones. She was a bit apprehensive, but she knew it was necessary. "Should you go, or I?"

"Hmm, " Ruby's father thought for a moment, "Do you have some in mind to ask first?" he asked looking at her.

Dein smiled as he heard what Ruby's parents were talking about. He turned to the kids and almost laughed at the game they were playing.
Terri smiled as well.
"You young ones just have fun." she says as she watches them play.

Pterano finally stopped crying and faces Toot with a friendly and hopefully warm smile.
"I...I know I don't deserve a second chance after what I did, and I don't blame you for being mad, but...I do want you to know...If I can make a difference with a second chance...please, let me try."

"Be careful mom and dad," Chomper and Greg said to thier parents. Ichy flew ahead of the rest of the group

"Ok" Ruby said. She was a bit interested in her parents talk, but forced herself to remain focused on the game, if for nothing else to distract both the others and herself from worry over their parents trying to talk to all these different kinds.
"Ok Ruby, you go first" Misty said, "since you thought of it".
"Ok, we can al add to the story" Ruby said, "she first put up her hands to do a pretty good impression of a spiketail. "Once there was a spike tail who walked and walked until he found...um...".
She looked to the others to see if they had any ideas for a shadow story picture to put in next. Misty thought but nothing was coming right then.

Toot noticed that beside him Ridge was looking quite...eager, to let the flyer try out his 'second chance' plan. He sighed.
"Well...I guess...but I'm gonna be watching you real close, just know that!" the one horn said.
Aqua smiled, "Oh don't worry Pterano, I can just tell with how different you're acting that you'll do great this time" she tried to reassure.
Cree, perhaps because a good mood had been dropped on the whole situation with Pterano's acceptance, shook his head in amazement. "It's like I said when you were younger" he whispered, "you just had this look that mom couldn't get mad at, apparently the same sort of luck is with you even now".
"Say" Ridge walked up next looking at Cree in suspicion, "you won't be trying to steal any of our greenfood again, will you?" he brought up Cree's own past. "Uh no, no, I promise" Cree said, holding up a wing.
Ridge just shrugged, "Well ok then".

"A nice, but very hungry belly dragger," Greg laughed, using his own shadow to imitate that.
Ichy flew for many minutes until he saw Redclaw and his gang a short distance away.

Ruby's brother settled down to watch and listen. He always enjoyed Ruby's shadow stories.
Deon "ooh'd." and sat down as well to watch, thinking this was certainly more fun then running around outside trying to avoid a mean sharptooth. Blue-eyes sat down next to Deon to watch what was going on.

Ruby's sister gave a slight gasp at the bellydragger shadow, then giggled.
Ruby's mom frowned. "Well," she started, cautiously, "I know smaller sharpteeth like these fasbiters seem to eat fish... and Chomper can eat crawlers... but what about the bigger sharpteeth? I do trust Chomper's parents, very much, but if they ally themselves with the leaf-eaters, what will they eat?" She pretended to be interested in picking at a spot of dirt on her claws, in hopes of hiding her anxiety.

Redclaw was roughly a third of the way through his routine patrol and continued on his way, unaware of Ichy's presence.

Ruby's father nodded, "That is the large problem. The fastbiters could find large bodies of water to live around to eat fish, or crawlers, creepy crawlers and such like that. The large sharpteeth would need larger or more food. I'm not sure about that unless there are certain areas where either sharpteeth can't go or can't hunt." Ruby's father said. He then looked at Ruby's mother, "Do you have some ideas?"

"Well," Chomper admitted to Ruby's parents. "My parents and I do eat meat, but don't worry, we would never eat any of you guys. Ruby knows this too, and she knows we can't help it." he hoped this wouldn't make the rest of Ruby's family scared or anything.
Ichy was watching Redclaw from high in the sky, and he could fly faster than Redclaw could run.

Ruby's father nodded, "Maybe you can suggest some ideas to us, since you are a sharptooth." He said smiling friendly.

"Yes, maybe you could." Ruby's mom agreed. "It isn't that we don't trust your parents Chomper, not that at all. It's just that we know, like you said, that it is something they can not help. I'm just wondering what your parents will eat if they must ally with the leaf-eaters to vanquish Redclaw..." She tried to make her point clearly, while sincerely hoping she didn't offend any of their friends.

"We mostly hunt down leafeaters who are by themselves, no herd or family," Chomper explained. "Anyways, let's continue the game," smiled Rory, trying to lighten the mood

Ruby giggled, "Yes, something tells me a Bellydragger like you can do Bellydragger quite well" she whispered before continuing the story.
"Oh my" the spiketail said, backing up, "a bellydragger and he's blocking my path, should I talk to him or just try to run around?".

Screech and Thud also didn't notice Ichy as they were sniffing about trying to pick up any scents for Redclaw of dinosaurs being where they shouldn't be....namely anywhere near them since Redclaw's territory was very unfairly big.

Greg contniued his part. "Hello there spiketail, the belly dragger said, licking his lips, but it was a friendly smile."
Rory, Rita, and Myra giggled.
"You can pass only if you tell me where I can find something to eat," Greg continued to narrate.

Deon, Blue-eyes and Ruby's brother watched and listened, enjoying the story and wondering what would happen next.

Rita, Rory, and Myra were also amused by the story. "Keep going," smiled Myra

Peal giggled as well as she watched her friends tell the shadow story. She was eager to see what would happen next. "Yeah, don't keep us waiting." she said with a smile.

Dein stepped out of the cave, and although he knew what the plan was, he wasn't sure he could pull off his part for it. Convincing other sharpteeth and fast biters to fight against Redclaw would be the easy part, but getting them not to advance and eat his allies would be the truly hard part. He sighed as he began to walk away in the direction he could smell other sharpteeth other than Redclaw.

Terri took her mates place by the opening to the cave so the children could feel safe. She smiled however as she could still hear them telling their shadow stories to each other.

Pterano sighed and smiled brightly.
"Okay...I promise I will prove to you all that I can be a good leader." he then spread his wings as he continued by saying, "And I promise to put my life before yours should anything go wrong!"

"i'm going with you!" Dil said, running up Dein's side. "In case you run into someone who tries to attack you," the big belly dragger explained.
"I know what you're probably thinking, and you're right." she went on "It's weird, we may be asking swimmers for help while at the same time, some swimmers I caught last night were the most delicous things I've had in a while," she added with a laugh.

Meanwhile, Ichy arrived back at the cave. "Redclaw's on his usual patrol, he won't be around these parts," he said to Terri.

Ruby's sister continued to watch wide-eyed, giggling every now and then.
Ruby's mother frowned. "I imagine most of the leaf-eaters aren't going to like the idea of that one bit... but I suppose it's the best we've got." She looked over at Ruby's father. "So, which one of us should go?"

Greg kept telling the story. "I'll let you pass if you help me find something to eat, the belly dragger said to the spiketail, I am hungry for some meat, but don't worry, I won't eat you."

Ruby's father thought over Ruby mother's question. "I do agree. Most if not all may be unwilling to agree, though perhaps some conditions may be able to be made, eventually. As for which one, I'm not sure, what are your thoughts on this?" He asked.

Ruby had to struggle to not giggle herself as the story went on, "Well, I couldn't let you eat anyone I know since they are friends that I know" the spiketail she was doing said with her narrating, so thus spoke a bit like Ruby herself.
"but I know a river where fish are always plentiful and there, would that be good enough?" the shadow spike-tail asked.
"and as you can guess" Ruby told the others, "the spiketail was very interested in knowing the answer that the bellydragger would tell him".
"Well duh" Misty said, but she giggled.

"Wow, this is serious" Cree said in half teasing at the last part of Pterano's sentence. "Uh, I sort of all but promised I'd watch out of him, with the cooperating thing and all, so...same goes for me too" Cree told the trio, indicating over to Pterano.
Toot also looked surprised at so many changes in behavior. He side glanced over to Ridge, "You ate the weird bitter yellow tree-star that's suppose to make things go all topsy turvey, didn't you?" he asked.
Ridge frowned, "Oh come on, you know that's a bunch of club-tail spit, there's no such thing as a weird yellow tree-star" he sighed.
Aqua glanced around, "It's awfully quiet, I wonder if Redclaw's gone yet and we could go out?".
"Probably just tricking us into thinking that" Ridge commented, "Wouldn't you say?" he turned to their new returning old leader, Pterano.

Greg contniued. "Sure, the fish will be good enough. But you have to help me catch it, the shadow belly dragger said to the shadow spiketail."
Myra and Rita were trying their best not to laugh out loud.

"the spiketail was shocked by this" Ruby continued the story, holding in a giggle as well, "he looked to his tail", Ruby was able to move the shadow spiketail's tail with some skill, "well...if it's just fish I suppose...yeah, I could just my tail to spike them, the spiketail told the bellydragger, come on, he began to lead the way to the river".
Ruby glanced around and found a leaf, "Hey Misty, hold up the leaf and we can have a river" she said. "Ok" Misty obliged and held up the leaf to wave like ripples of the water. She laughed, "This is fun!".

Greg liked Misty's involvement in the story. "The spiketail and belly dragger soon reached the river. "Ok, let's do this," the belly dragger said."

Ruby's little brother and Deon both giggled at what they found to be funny moments in the story. Blue-eyes found spots funny also but did his best to try to remain quiet so he could hear everything and would not disturb anyone or prevent them from hearing.

Dein nodded his head as he replied to Dil.
"Yeah, that is what I'm worried about, I was going to suggest they all eat before we get back to the cave, but that might not be possible! And I fear for Ruby and her family if we cant get them to agree to this."

Terri nodded and thanked Ichy for the report and set her head down on the ground to rest...it had been a long day after all, and she did want her rest.

Pterano gave a smile as he heard the question was directed at him.
"Well...perhaps it is a trick, but just to be sure I will personally fly outside to ensure your safety...please excuse me for a moment."
And before he could give Cree a chance to protest Pterano flapped his wings and flew outside the cave and high into the air, and was indeed releafed when he couldn't see Redclaw, Screech or Thud anywhere around.
"Just to be safe." he said to himself as he flew a little further out to make sure it wasn't a trap.

Dil and Dein soon came along a lone threehorn standing at a waterhole getting a drink, unaware of their presence. It clearly had no family or herd.
"What do you think? She we eat this?" Dil whispered to the big rex.

Chomper walked over to his mom and kissed her on the cheek. "Tired?" he smiled.
"So what did I miss?" Ichy asked in both languages, landing by the gathered others.

"Oh wow!" Ruby's sister said softly as the shadow of the leaf appeared. It was quite an interesting shadow.
"I'm not sure..." Ruby's mom started, "Though whichever one of us goes may want to check in and around the rest of these caves first, as I imagine there are probably others using them to hide from Redclaw. What do you think?"

"That sounds like a good idea Mrs. Ruby's mom," Chomper said.
Ichy flew over to Ruby';s parents. "Want me to come along?" the sharpbeak asked

Ruby's father nodded to Ichy. "That is a good idea. You can see things from higher then non flyers and can more quickly deliver a message if need be." Ruby's father said.

"Well, glad I can help. Let's go!" the sharpbeak said.
"Bye dad," Greg waved to Ichy, the belly dragger still in the story game.

"W-Hey!" Cree called, but Pterano was gone way to quickly for him to protest. He sighed and glanced back to the small trio they had to guard and then the cave exit where Pterano had gone, trying to decide what to do.
If he left and then something did happen...well he'd be the one the blame would get thrust that then, but...Pterano was out there alone and...
"Oh blast this having to care thing!" Cree said.
Toot, mood slowly improving, chuckled, "It is a bother, thinking about others, isn't it" he said. Cree frowned deeply at what he could tell was a joke at his expense. Toot just chuckled again.
"Oh dear...I think he improved too much" Aqua said, going to the exit to peer out, "I really don't want to have to go back to the Great Valley and tell his sister that he did improve...and saved us by dying".
"Perish the thought!" Cree said, "Pterano's smarter than that...I think".
Cree sighed, "Here, stand back so incase something does jump out I'll be the first line of defense" he told Aqua as he next moved to the entrance to peer out and see if he could still see Ptearno.
"Woah, even the greefood stealer got less selfish" Ridge commented. "No" Cree sighed without turning, "I'm just not listening to Pterano yell and rant if something does happen and I wasn't the first line of defense to protect you guys".

Ruby giggled a bit as Greg's shadow swayed as he waved. "Yeah...you guys, be careful so something will not happen because you are not careful" she nonetheless took the time to tell them.
Turning back to the story she continued, "So the spiketail prepared his tail and slapped it in the water" Ruby made her spiketail do just that, "but when he raised it, no fish on this his first try".
"No fish?" Misty asked, "Oh...that doesn't sound good" she said as she switched hands to still hold the leaf in place.

"The belly dragger moved his tail around. I know there are some fish in this river, he said, we gotta keep trying." Greg said. Greg then whispered an idea he had for the story in to Ruby's ear. (The PM i just sent you Kit12.)

"We just need to decide which of us is to go." Ruby's father said, a hard decision he knew, and a very risky one also.
"I wonder what'll happen next." Deon said, riveted to the story.
Ruby's little brother continued to watch, always enjoying Ruby's shadow stories.

Greg went on. "Eventually the spiketail and belly dragger did find some fish. The belly dragger, always being willing to share, offered the spiketail some."

Ruby hid her giggle, Greg's idea was a real..what had she heard it called, turning point or something?
"The spiketail of course took a step back and began to shake his head no thankyou...but then his mom had taught him it was rude to decline food that was offered so nicely, and it was just a fish, so he hesitantly took a bit of the fish and found he didn't throw up like he thought he would!".
"He didn't?!" Misty asked in surprise, "Oh that can't be easy to 'splain to his mom".
Ruby giggled, "No, and in fact the spiektail said that" she commented, " 'Well Mr.bellydragger, I must thankyou for the fish' the spieketail said, 'but now we have a problem in that it tastes good, but I am a spiketail and it's not suppose to taste good, how am I going to tell my parents what I have to tell them, surely my grandmother will kick me out of inheriting her treestars she's collected' the spiketail sighed, afraid of what alot of his family would think' ".

"Maybe you can simply not mention this to your parents, the belly dragger suggested. I never thought I'd see the day: a leafeater who became a meat eater," Greg went on.
Chomper, Rory, Rita, and Myra were giggling a lot

Ruby's little brother & Deon giggled at points in the story, finding it rather funny. Blue-eyes did so, attempting to still remain quiet as before.

Ruby refrained from giggling enough to finish out the story, " 'sounds good' the spiketail said, and he was able to keep the secret for a long time that he was a non-meat eater who ate meat, at least until his grumpy old grandfather came to visit, but that's another story that is not right now".
Ruby finished up. She smiled to their little audience, "So, what did you think?".
Misty shook her head, "That certainly was unexpected, but I liked it" she laughed.

"I liked the story, it was neat & funny." Deon said smiling and enjoying the story.
"It was as great as all your stories are." Ruby's little brother said.
"The story was very well told and very funny also." Blue-eyes said, having enjoyed the story thoroughly.

"We also liked it," Roryy and Myra replied.
"You know I like stories about meateaters," Chomper smiled.
"So, who do I go with?" Ichy asked Ruby's parents.

Ruby's sister laughed. "Yeah, it was great!"
"Well, I suppose we would be equally qualified. We just need to find something to base this decision off of." Ruby's mother stated. "And we should do it quickly. Who knows when Redclaw will make his way back, after all."

"Perhaps on who knows the most folks, knows the are the best, or can run the fastest and for the longest, in case danger does appear that one must run from." Ruby's father said.

"Well, it has to be one of you two," Ichy said to the parental fast runners. "Chomper's mom is basically protecting the kids right now."

Ruby smiled at all the praise, "Well thanks, and thank you for providing the very nice river, Misty" she told the egg eater. Misty smiled, "No problem".

"Yeah, that was pretty good," added Greg.

"So what quiet game should we play now?" Misty wondered, looking around at the others.

"That's it!" Cree declared with finality, pacing yet again across the cave floor, "Pterano's got himself into trouble out there and he now needs my help as his only option out...um no one get lost and I'll be right back" he told Ridge, Toot and Aqua before flapping out of the cave.
As he did he saw an odd assortment of what looked to be a fast runner or two, some sharpteeth and one bellydragger. "Ok, so we want to avoid them..." Cree muttered to himself as he continued to scan about, yet he now knew he couldn't get too far from the group if these types of predators were hanging about. The fast runners being with the others did have Cree a bit confused, but he wasn't about to flap down to ask about it.

Pearl began to think of another game they could play quietly but she was coming up with nothing. She finally shrugged her wings in defeat.
Terri continued to sit by the entrance hoping nothing would go wrong as she fell asleep.
Dein on the other claw heard Dil's question and after having time to think it over smiled and said, "I did miss breakfast this morning...." with that he charged full speed at the unaware threehorn and brought his jaw down around it's body.

It was at that moment that Pterano who had been sitting on a rock outcropping over the entrance to their cave said, "Well Cree, its nice to know you still care, but do not worry, I had everything well under control." He continued to look at the gathering of sharpteeth, fastibiters and Fastrunners and sighed.
"I do wonder what they could possibly be up to...especially those fast runners, they should be running away from the sharpteeth, not talking to them."

The threehorn died quickly. Dil had already had her breakfast earlier "You gonna save any for your mate or kid?" she asked Dein.

"Hmm, can one toss a tree seed quietly, or do a rolling game with one and some rocks?" Deon asked looking around.
"Either one sounds like good ideas, a quiet seed toss, or rolling the seed at some rocks or other things that it can knock down." Blue-eyes said.

Dein was about to take another large bite out of the threehorn, but realized that Dil had a point, so he stopped and picked up the carcass and carried it back towards the cave. He then turned to Dil and asked, "Could you go and inform my mate and Chomper that I have food for them...i don't want to bring this into the cave and scare the young ones."

"Sure," Dil replied, heading back towards the cave.
Dil gently nudged Terri. "Yeah, Dein wanted me to tell you he caught some food for you and your son," she said in sharptooth.

"Oh, seed toss sounds fun!" Ruby's sister piped.
"Well, I suppose a decision must be made, one way or the other. I would be happy to go." Ruby's mom volunteered, hoping to expedite the process.

Meanwhile, Redclaw's patrol reached its halfway mark. Time was running short.

"Ok then Mrs. Fast runner, er, waht's your name by the way, let's go," said Ichy.
"Yeah, Toss the Seed sounds fun," Chomper grinned. "I see one anyway," Rory commented, picking one up beside the cave's wall

"only if you are sure and you are a bit younger then me, but I'm not sure." Ruby's father said.

"We should be able to play that in here I'd think." Deon said looking around at the cave walls and such.

"Well...you know, our pint sized herd was getting antsy" Cree covered a bit as he landed. He frowned at the sight too though, "Yeah, somethings up, I'll go spy" he said with a grin, "I'm good at that, it's how I found out you were the one to eat Tylr's last treestar that day as kids and you never knew you got found out...don't worry I didn't tell him" Cree grinned again before flapping off.
He crouched behind some rocks and listened as best he could... He heard the sharp beak tell the fast runner "let's go", but go where Cree wondered.

"Toss the seed it is, then" Misty said with a smile.
"Yes, that sounds like a very good game to play so we will have something to play so we won't be bored" Ruby said.
"Yeah, we'll just have to watch how high we hit it" Misty answered Deon, "but I think we can do it".

Screech and Thud moved out this way and that, helping scout the perimeter for anything on the patrol that Redclaw might miss. A little lizard scurried behind a rock, but it wasn't intelligent enough to talk so Thud paid it no mind as he spotted it and moved on.

Terri nodded to Dil and said, "Thank you Dil." she then turned to Chomper and said, "Dear, your father has food, but we should probably eat it outside...so as not to make your friends worry or nervous."
Peal shook her head and yawned.
"I think I'll take a nap. Just try not to hit me with the seed okay everyone?" she said with a laugh.

Pterano sighed as he watched Cree try to do his little spying game, but Pterano knew that if anything went wrong he could potentially lose a brother, and that was something he was not willing to do, but either way he sat on his rock waiting for something to happen.
"Do be safe Cree. You always were foolish enough to try anything." Pterano said quietly to himself.

"Ok mom, let's go outside," Chomper smiled. "You can start the game without me guys for now," he called back.
Rory first grabbed the seed. "Heads up!" he said, tossing it to Misty

"Well, I'm not exactly sure. It's true that I am younger, but perhaps other herds may feel less threatened by me, as they are naturally going to be suspicious of a stranger. If you would rather go that is also fine, though, but we should probably make this decision quickly." Ruby's mom had begun glancing around surreptitiously, as if expecting Redclaw's return at any moment.

"I would rather go but, you are younger and they may feel less threatened with talking to a female then a male. I've observed most folks do find females less threatening and tend to be more willing to take to females before males." Ruby's Father mentioned, not liking the facts but they were as he observed.
"Sounds neat." Deon said.
"And fun." Ruby's brother said.

"Well, I'm ready when you are," Ichy said.

Misty laughed, "Ok, we'll try; and if someone does I'll snitch them out" she said with a smile, it was unsure if she was kidding but she probably was.
She prepared as the seed was tossed to her and then, running, batted it with her tail sending it flying off in the other direction.
"I got it because it's coming to me" Ruby realized and hit it with her own tail, sending it flying off once again...

Cree frowned as he continued to easedrop, it was definitely a cooperation of some sort...but why, as the fast runner glanced around, he wondered what she was looking for. Maybe he should get closer...
Cree glanced about himself and spotted an outcropping of rocks nearer the group. He braced himself and leapt up to try and flap over the distance quickly, only he tripped on the take off and instead the flyer ended up tumbling right before the sharpteeth and other such dinosaurs.
"Well that was embarrassing" he said to himself, standing and dusting himself off before he remembered the sharpteeth and nervously glanced up.
"Woah, uh" he flapped up to gain air space once more, "I...uh...wasn't listening or anything and even if I was, I uh, gotta go now..." he debated how to dart off the quickest...

"I got it!" Myra called, the girl fast biter catching it. "Blue-Eyes, here you go!

Blue-eyes used his tail to hit the treeseed and knock it over towards the dino closest to him."

Rita caught it. "Misty, it's coming your way!" the girl rex smiled, tossing it the egg snatcher's way.

"Throw it here, throw it here!" Ruby's sister giggled yet again, darting to and fro.
"Yes, it seems like they would be more anxious regarding a lone male," Though it was difficult to admit to herself, Ruby's mom also felt that her mate would be more capable of defending their children, should the need arise. "I will do my best to return quickly, and I-" she jumped slightly as Cree tumbled into their midst. After a brief stunned silence, she realized the flyer was preparing to leave. "Wait, wait one moment!" She addressed him.

"Who are you?" Ichy asked Cree.

Misty rushed over and intercepted the seed, tossing it over to Ruby's sister as the little one jumped about for the seed.

"Uh, no one important" came Cree's hurried answer to Ichy. Against his better judgement he paused as the fast runner called out to him, "W-what do you want me for?" he asked, a part of his mind almost afraid of the answer, "I just told you I wasn't doing anything, look I should probably just get back to hiding before Redclaw comes back" he continued to try and dodge his way out of what he saw as a sticky situation.

Pterano gives a startled yelp as he flies to Cree's assumed aid. He quickly flaps over and lands in front of Cree.
Pterano was shocked to see the that the sharpteeth and fast runners could in fact understand each other, but that wasn't his most immediate concern. He then turned to Cree and asked, "Are you alright?"
Dein turned to face the two flyers and decided not to speak so as not to startle them.

"Good one." Deon said to Misty and Ruby's little sister.

"Um...who are you?" Dil asked confused. She hadn't seen this flyer before.

Cree had a shocked look fixed to his face at Pterano's backing him up and even to his own danger; he wasn't sure why it should shock him, perhaps just because off Cree's behavior he couldn't think of anything that warranted this...well maybe the last few hours counted for something, but even so this was quite a leap.
"Uh...well, of course, I had it...completely under control" Cree more than half lied in trying to cover his own fear. His tone gave him away though.
He caught the bellydragger's question. "Look why do you keep asking us that?!" he said, "what do you want to know your food really well before you eat it or something? N-nevermind I am still curious why you've got fast runners just standing here talking to you...". Cree shook his head to try and get back on track, mainly saving their own scales.

"Because they are friends of ours," Dil replied matter-of-factly. "Despite what you may think, sharpteeth can be quite nice, and we don't eat every leafeater we see."

Ruby's sister couldn't seem to stop giggling. It was nice to not think about Redclaw for a while. "Thanks! Chomper, here!" She threw the seed back into play.
"Please, flyers, perhaps you can help us! You see, we were all also hiding from Redclaw." Ruby's mom stated quickly, in hopes of keeping them from fleeing.

"I got it!" Chomper smiled, tossing it to Rory. "Ruby, heads up!" the b oy fast biter said.

"Well excuse me!" Cree frowned, "but my experience has sort of lead to...". The fast runners words halted him.
Hiding from Redclaw? "Well...I can sorta see that" Cree admitted, still he narrowed his eyes suspiciously, he wasn't going to risk Toot of the others of the little herd they'd already formed back up that easily...yet the fast runner was unharmed among them.
Cree glanced to Pterano, though his brother was upfront, silently asking what he thought of all of this. He knew Pterano would be thinking of their herd too.

Ruby ran across the cave floor to try and catch the seed before it hit the ground. She tripped just slightly, yet still managed to hit it with her tail, not that high but still high enough.
"Woah!" Misty turned to the two little fast runners, "you're sister's like amazing at...alot of stuff" she commented, before noticing the seed was coming to her and running over to hit it. She had to dive onto the ground, yet bumped it up with both hands to go higher to be in better play now (ooc: think volleyball).

Pterano seemed to trust the Fastrunners, however knowing that they were hiding from a common foe was with others of it's kind was still unnerving. He none the less felt his brother fretting for their newly regained herd in the cave and he cleared his throat and said, "Yes, well...it is nice to know that not all sharpteeth are genuinely bad, but we must be getting back to our herd as well...so...uhhh..it was nice meeting you all." Pterano then flapped his wings, but looked back once more.
He sighed as he asked, "Not to sound rude, but if you happen to hear Redclaw nearby, could you try and move him away from these caves?"
Dein looked a little annoyed by the question, although he honestly couldn't blame the flyer for asking such a request, after all no body liked Redclaw, and as a sharptooth it was Dein's duty to fight anyone who was a threat to his family, and Redclaw certainly was a great threat.

Despite all the noise Pearl was sleeping peacefully and she was enjoying the sleep story she was having.

Chomper looked annoyed at Pterano, but was aware that he was right. Chomper's sniffer started acting up. A big amount of standard sharpteeth was coming this way, but Chomper smiled. His parents knew who these were, and Chomper was sure they'd help them.
Myra quickly hit the pine cone back with her other claws

"Great shots from all of you." Deon said, amazed at how good the others were at the game.
"Indeed." Blue-eyes said nodding.
Ruby's father sat closer to the entrance so he keep watch the game now and then, but mainly keep an eye and ear out for any danger, he smiled as he saw a bit of the game of the kids playing.

Misty giggled, batting the seed as it came to her once more, to Ruby who hit it with her tail over to some of the others once more.

"He...means well" somehow Cree felt the need to say, "but...well we have had alot thrown at us at once". Cree took flight and followed Pterano as they headed back to the cave.
"Hmm..." he pondered outloud as they flew, "all those kinds joining up against Redclaw...that's either brilliant enough to work or just plain stupid" Cree wasn't sure which yet though.
" 'bout time you two showed up" Toot said as they reached the cave, "So what's up? Is Redclaw gone?".

The little herd of about 6 t-rexes arrived outside the cave. Hey mom, dad, aren't those your friends?" Chomper asked, remembering these 6.
"Dein, Terri, haven't you for a while," Amanda, the biggest female in the group said

Ruby's mom was about to call after the flyers, but within the moment they had already flown out of earshot. She was disappointed, but could hardly blame them. "Well, I suppose all there is to do is keep trying," she muttered as she started her trek, but stopped abruptly when she remembered that the sharpbeak had meant to accompany her. She glanced around, hoping to spot him.

Elsewhere, Redclaw's patrol drew ever nearer. They were moving steadily, and had covered roughly two thirds of the border.

Ruby's father stood up a bit and looked at whichever one of Chomper's parents was the closest and said in a somewhat nervous voice, "Do you know them?" He asked.

Terri and Dein turned around and smiled.
"Hello again Amanda, it's been far too long. How have you been?" asked Terri
"Are you trying to escape Redclaw as well, cause we could use your help." Dein said with a friendly smile. He then asked, "We have an idea on how to beat Redclaw, but it requires...a bit of a sacrifice."
Terri sighed as she stepped closer to Amanda. "Perhaps you and I should speak alone for a moment...just to make things easier."

Pterano landed in the cave and after hearing Toot's response, he sighed and grabbed Cree by his shoulders and asked his brother, "Am I crazy for wanting to believe those fastrunners in that they were telling the truth? I mean, what if we really CAN defeat Redclaw by working together?!"

Taking a step back, Cree debated, "Well...I don't know" he answered honestly. "I mean, to tell you the truth, I've been pushing the idea around myself...like I said it's either crazy or just insanely brilliant enough to work".
"What is?" Aqua asked, stepping closer. Cree turned to her, "There were some fast runners with some sharpteeth out there, they're teaming up to defeat Redclaw and asked for help, we weren't sure what to do with pulling you guys into anything, so Pterano and I both kinda...dodged around answering".
Toot frowned, thoughtful, "Get rid of Redclaw...hmm, gotta admit I like that idea so much it's kinda tempting...".
"If we could really do it" the spiketail, Ridge, added. "Enough support though, and if like you said...there's what a few sharpeeth and fast runners and if you add us...we'd already out number him".
"Plus more probably" Aqua added to his thought.
Cree had been thinking and he gave a slight smile and chuckle that didn't make it out. "Sorry" he apologized to the others and Pterano, "I was just hit with a thought that might make us do something rash but...I was imagining how...able to be proud of us, us helping with something like that would possibly give our sister, Ptami, and Tylr right to be in us" he smiled to Pterano.
"I mean just imagine, we wouldn't be rouge scoundrels anymore".
"I could go quickly try to catch them again" the swimmer, Aqua, offered, "try to find out how many supporters they do have by now".

Misty and Ruby both listened anxiously to what they could catch of the adults talk. Wondering how these other friends of Chomper's family would take the news and if they would possibly help too.

"Ok Terri, what's your plan?" Amanda smiled, walking for a private moment with her old friend.

"I'm here," Ichy said to Ruby's mom.
Chomper and the other kids listened in as well.

"Oh, hello! I don't believe I caught your name." Ruby's mom addressed Ichy. "Shall we go now?"

"I'm Ichy," the sharpbeak replied. "Yeah, I'm ready."

"Goodluck dear." Ruby's father said with concern in his voice.

"Hear we go then," Ichy said to Ruby's mom
-
Ruby's mom gave her mate a reassuring smile.
"I'll be back soon. Take good care of the children!" She knew that the last part was a given, but saying it eased her nerves a little. "Alright, Ichy," She started as she picked up a brisk pace. "First off, we ought to check the other caves in this row."

"Agreed," Ichy nodded. "I'll fly ahead to that one."

"Be safe mom so that you will come back safe" Ruby told her mom before she left. She knew she didn't have to add this comment, but like her mom's statement, it eased her own nerves.

"I will, and good luck." Ruby's father said.
"Good luck & be careful Mom." Ruby's little brother said, a bit sad to see their mother go but knowing it was necessary.

Ichy began flying through the caves.

"So, what's your plan against Redclaw Teeri?" Amanda asked

"Yeah, be careful!" Ruby's Sister echoed her brother.
"Don't worry! You all stay safe as well!" Ruby's mom called as she waved back to her family, and then continued to follow Ichy.

Ichy's nose began to act up. "I think I can smell....I think it's some spiketails, and maybe a yellow belly or two," he said, concentrating on the scents

Pterano smiled at the idea Cree had thrown out. He gave a short laugh and declared, "Well, if everyone is sure about this, then I say we go and give whatever help we can!"

Terri sighed as she spoke, "Well, uhhh...in order to stop Redclaw once and for all, we were going to team up with the leafeaters here in the Mysterious Beyond, and fight him. know the plan sounds crazy, but we believe its the only way, which is why we have those fast biters in our group." She paused to look back at her son and smiled as she turned and asked, "Well, what do you think? Or should we come up with another idea?"

Cree smiled and shrugged, "Well the only thing I've figured out I'm sure about is that i want Redclaw off my tailbone" he said.
"Same here" Ridge nodded, before smirking, "Not that my tail isn't something to be dealt with in itself" he swung the spiked appendage harmlessly.
Cree couldn't help the funny picture of Ridge jabbing one of those fast biter lackeys with it, even as he turned to the others, "Well then, I guess I'll be the messenger to go tell them the news, since I know where we last left the herd of revolters I think...and no this time I wont' be falling" he told Pterano before his brother could cut in.
"Just, watch the herd" he said before flapping up and out of the cave.
"He certainly has always been impulsive" Aqua commented on the flyer.

Deon sat down, not sure what to do next. Blue-eyes did likewise for much of the same reasons.

"I think it's a good idea mom," Chomper smiled back.
"And me and the rest of these rexes will gladly help," added Amanda

Dil stepped outside the cave, it was her turn for guard duty.

Cree flapped on, scanning about for anything of the others he had left, when he spotted a familiar Bellydragger.
"Ah, there you are" Cree darted over with a smile, "Um...so...that offer earlier of perhaps our helping with this whole Redclaw thing, well we had to sort of let that idea sink in, but now that we have...did you still need help with that whole rebellion movement?" Cree asked.

"Yeah, we do," Dil replied.

OOC: Ok, I've been debating Twiz coming in here...and I found a purpose for him in bugging Cree :lol, who for said purposes doesn't know who Twiz is aka his connection to Kit in the Valley, otherwise he'd just drop the kid there, but GVG if Pterano wants to secretly know about it I don't care either way before you ask)
Cree smiled and went to answer before he was all but rammed into by a flying blur. When he glanced down he noticed a stunned little sharptoothed flyer with two of his teeth looking up at him shocked.
Flyer or not, the other descirption of dietary habits had Cree nervous (despite the irony of his now talking with a Bellydragger) and he frowned, but before he could talk to the kid, Twiz leapt up looking relieved. "Oh thank goodness, another flyer! I lost my herd and I think Redclaws getting closer, can I stay with you so you can beat him up".
Cree frowned, pushing the kid back, "No" he said simply, then turned to Dil once more, "Sorry, as I was saying then me and my herd are...".
"Oh please sir!" Twiz clung to Cree's leg. Cree frowned annoyed, lifting his foot, "Kid, I'm a weak flattoothed flyer, now beat it!" he said.
"That doesn't bother me" Twiz answered, yet didn't go into why it didn't bother him.
"Oh please sir...!" he began to go on. "Ok" Cree grit his beak and gently but still clamped a wing around the little one's to stop his rambling, "If you'll not attract the big bullying sharptooth by yelling, you can stay ten feet from me".
"Oh thankyou!" Twiz clung to Cree once more.
"Leech aside" Cree turned back to Dil, "like I said, my herd and I are here to help then".

All this commotion had brought Misty over to peer out curiously. "What is it that is making the noise that is so hearable?" Ruby asked. The egg-snatcher smiled, somehow liking this little Twiz already from his antics, "Two funny flyers" she answered, "and I think Greg's mom is talking to one of them about helping us!".

"Yeah, she is," Greg smiled. "My mom's a fighter."

"Flyers can easily to scouting and deliver messages safer then non flyers." Blue-eyes said thinking of some advantages to having flyers help them.

"Can you tell where the scent is coming from, Ichy?" Ruby's mom asked.

"From that part of the cave," Ichy replied, flying ahead. Whatever spiketail he was smelling, the scent was pretty close

"I don't think she said your mom was beating up the flyers" Misty told Greg with a smile. She turned back to the conversation the other adults were having with the flyers though.

Cree nodded, hearing Blue-eyes comment but not knowing him enough to speak yet. Twiz wasn't hindered by that though. "Oh yeah, we could, and I'd help Mr. Cree here scout too" the boy offered with a smile.

(OOC: Ok, we'll just have it be the group with Pterano, like we semi-discussed Brek, even if it is overkill with Cree already talking to Dil, but then that makes it kinda funny :DD)
Ridge heard a noise behind him it seemed, and turned nervously, "W-what was that?" he asked. Toot narrowed his eyes, "I don't know, but if it aint friendly it's gonna have to deal with me!" he said.

Ichy flew over and soon came into Toot and Ridge's view. "Here some other dinos are!" he called to Ruby's mom.

"Whoops, misunderstood," Greg laughed

Pterano turned to face Aqua and said, "Well...he is my brother."
However his next surprise was to Ichy's arrival and he turned as asked, "I'm sorry, but who are you? I'm assuming you're with the other herd going to fight Redclaw right?"
Pterano then turned to face his brother who was still in eye sight, and noticed another flyer clinging to his brothers foot. He immediately smiled as he recognized Twiz. But seeing his brother being annoyed by another flyer other than himself was rather amusing, and Pterano was content to watch.

Terri smiled happily at her old friend.
"Thank you for the help Amanda, we could certainly use it." she commented.

Pearl finally being woken from her nap yawned and asked as she stepped outside.
"What's going on guys?"

Toot frowned at the sharp beak's way of saying he had found them. "Of course we're dinosaurs, what'd ya think you...".
Pterano interrupted him and he was about to tell him off for this before he remembered they had technically let him be the leader again...Toot had been in charge for so long this was going to take some getting use to the one horn realized.
The other flyer looked distracted now though, so Toot continued the conversation.
"Uh, yes, ironically we just sent one of our other flyers out to offer our services" he told Ichy and the fast runner with him, "you'll forgive my asking though...but with something as I hear this will be, a fighting Redclaw, how many supporters do you currently have?". They would need enough to stand up to Redclaw in the first place, Toot knew.

Misty laughed and turned to Pearl, "There's a flyer that came over to offer support of him and his herd apparently, but..." she hid a giggle, "this little flyer about our age" she indicated the other young ones about, "is bugging him apparently, and it's kinda amusing".

Blue-eyes sits down, leaning against the wall and putting his hands behind his head.

Ichy recapped the list in his mind:
"Well, we have:
2 belly draggers
4 sharpteeth
1 egg stealer
5 fast runners
4 fast biters
1 flattooth flyer so far."

"Yes...the flyer we know...as we said" Toot said, thinking through the list given to him. "Hmm...well that might be enough to succeed" he turned back to Pternao and the others.
Aqua sighed, "Well I doubt it would ever be easy...since this is Redclaw, but...it sounds do-able" she gave her input. Ridge nodded.

"Hello!" Ruby's mom greeted the small herd cheerfully. "It's good to hear that you're considering this proposal. We seem to be short on options. Well, options that don't include running and hiding, that is."

Blue-eyes started to doze and his brother Deon sat down next to him and started to doze off too.

"Yeah, we need your help," added Ichy.
-
"Well then we're here to help, like I said" Cree told Dil, "let me just go tell the rest of my herd". As he turned and flapped back to the cave, he noticed that fast runner from before and the sharp beak.
"So...my whole trip was pointless I guess, since the group found you guys anyway?" he threw out looking mock insulted. Twiz rammed into him next, "You almost left me behind Mr. Cree" the kid said smiling.
As Cree sighed and glanced forward again, catching Pterno's gaze, he sighed, "Don't ask".

Pterano was glad to see that everyone seemed to be getting along, and that they were willing to go along with this plan. Although to him it still sounded pretty crazy even to him. But he sighed and almost laughed when Cree and Twiz came bounding into the cave. He then stepped forward and asked Twiz,
"Excuse me little one...but do you happen to remember me?"
Terri not wanting to startle the other leafeaters continued to stand in the front of the cave, close enough to hear what was going on but far enough away to not be a 'threat'

"Well, I don't think I know you," Chomper replied, even though the question wasn't for him.
"Neither have us," Rita, Rory, Myra, and greg replied.

Twiz's face scrunched up in a thoughtful posture at Pterano's words, while Cree's own fell. "You know the kid that's bugging me..." he said flatly, "well that would just be so like you".
Yet as he looked to Twiz again certain things from a once more twice meeting seemed to fall into place. He'd never paid attention to Tylr's life, but...yeah he seemed to recall meeting Tylr's mate's brother.
Twiz pondered on the flattoothed flyer thing as well, "Sorry but no sir" he told Pterano with a head shake, "Do you know my dad or something?" he guessed and asked, almost hopefully that maybe if they did these two would know right where he was at that moment or something!
Ignoring the question thankfully not addressed to him, Cree turned back to Ichy and the others. "So, as best I can see, Redclaw's still gone, do we have a plan for how to make best use of that?" he asked, wondering exactly how this rebellion of there's was going to pull this off.

"Well, um, we know Redclaw has to sleep eventually, why not strike then?" suggested Ichy.

Pterano smiled nonetheless and patted Twiz on the back. "Don't worry about it. My name is Pterano." And for a moment he sighed as he heard Twiz's question about his father. He gave a wise smile to Twiz as he said, "Yes...I do know your father...although I've only met him once..."
Terri at the sound of a night attack grinned and turned as she said, "That would be a great idea...and I personally love night attacks!"

Ichy looked surprised that his idea was liked.
"So um, does anyone else think that's a good idea?" he asked.

"Why yes, it sounds like a very good idea" Aqua also chimed in on the night attack idea. Toot and Ridge nodded.
"Best time we could find probablly" Toot said.
Oh" Twiz nodded at Pterano's explanation, "So...you wouldn't know where he was now" the young one frowned. "No, 'fraid not, why did you lose him?" Cree joked, not knowing exactly what had happened to Trip.
"No" Twiz shook his head, "my herd of sharptoothed flyers kicked him out for being a flattooth and...mom couldn't even stop it if she wanted to...since I think it would have caused problems for me, and...I haven't seen him since, since it would cause problems for me again if he came back I think...or that's what mom says".
Cree's face fell, especially as Twiz sniffed sadly. "Oh...well uh, sorry to hear that" was all he could say with a grimace after having put his foot smack into it, so to speak.

"But does anyone know where Redclaw sleeps?" asked Chomper.

"No way I'd know that, no" Misty shook her head with a sigh. She got a sudden idea though, "I wonder...do you think maybe one of the flyers..." she indicated to the farther cave that was still visible.
"y-you can still see me if I make my way over there, Miss Dil" Misty told the bellydragger currently guarding them, "I-I'm gonna go ask..." she egg snatcher darted across the distance and made it safe.
She figured the little flyer kid would be the best bet to listen to her. "Hey" she whispered, walking up, "have you or any of the other flyers with you" she indicated Pterano and Cree, "seen where Redclaw sleeps?".
Noticing the kid and hearing the question, Cree frowned, "You act like we would seek that info out willingly, I think dinosaurs give that guy a wide berth!".
Misty frowned and despite this being an adult, answered promptly, "but if we're gonna catch up by surprise!".
Twiz came out of his sad thoughts of before to nod, "Y-yeah, actually one time I remember my herd flying over it, it's off...in some caves beyond there I think" the little flyer pointed out of the cave and beyond the barren Mysterious Beyond landscape a bit.
Misty grinned, "Oh this is just too great!". If it wouldn't have been unwise, she'd have yelled back over to Chomper that yeah, someone did know where Redclaw slept...even as Twiz went on.
"I-I think I remember how to get to it..." he only sounded partly sure.

"Mom, dad, do you know where Redclaw sleeps?" Chomper asked his parents.
Rory and Myra continued playing the volley-ball like game with Deon, Blue-Eyes, and Ruby. "Ruby, it's heading towards you!" the girl fast biter called.

"You can get it Ruby." Deon said.

Pterano patted Twiz on the back and sighed.
"Don't worry Twiz, I promise if I see your father again one day, I'll make sure to keep him around with me so when I find you again you'll get to see your father." Pterano was sad that Twiz didn't know where his father was, but was also sure that he could help when his father was found.

Rory grabbed the pine cone before Ruby could catch it. "Just messing with ya," he smiled at Ruby. "Here ya go," he said, hitting it to her.

Twiz grinned, "Aw gee thanks Mr. Pterano!" he flapped up, feeling hope for actually finding his dad now, and hugged Pterano's beak. "I like you two" he told the two flyers with a grin.
"Oh lucky us" Cree said dryly, but a small smile could be seen...the kid wasn't too bad, all things considered.
"I'll go tell the others you said you knew where Redclaw's sleeping place is!" Misty said happily off of what Twiz had last told her.
"But he said he didn't...not really" Aqua pointed out to the egg snatcher. "Oh..." Misty's look fell.
"Would he be dumb enough to have one set sleeping spot?" Toot couldn't help but wonder.
"Probably" Ridge said, "after all, as he would think, who would be dumb enough to try and find his sleeping spot" he smirked since that's what they were doing.

Ruby rushed over to bat the seed back into play, "here it comes Blue-Eyes!" she called.

Blue-eyes hit it with his tail. "Here Deon." He said. Deon hit it with his head over to Myra.
"Here it's coming your way Myra." Deon said.

"Got it!" Myra called, passint it to chomper. "Ruby's siblings, it's coming your way!"
Dil looked over at Terri. "So did we just get some valuable information or what?"

"You git it sis." Ruby's brother said, wanting his sister to have the fun of hitting the object to the next person.

"Yes, but I can not have it now since I am giving it to you" Ruby laughed, hitting the seed over towards her brother once more.

Ruby's brother did is best to do a jump flip and hit it with his tail, "over to you Rory." He said.
"Very good." Blue-eyes said to Ruby's brother smiling.

"Here it goes!" Rory said, hitting it towards Deon and Blue-Eyes.

"Here Greg." Deon said as he jumped and twisted so he could hit it with his tail, similar to what Blue-eyes did, but not quite as skilled. Blue-eyes hanging back so his little brother could hit it, he'd only do so if he had missed.

Greg raised his big belly dragger tail and hit it back to Deon. "Try to hit that!"
Meanwhile, chomper had stopped playing. "You know guys, maybe we should see what we can to help our parents and the others stop Redclaw."

Deon jumped up, almost missed it but Blue-eyes grabbed him and give him a boost the extra few inches so he could bump it off the top of his head. Distracted by what Chomper said he wasn't able to aim it.
"And do what, fight Redclaw ourselves?" Blue-eyes said.

Chomper caught the pine cone. "Not that, I meant maybe we could find others who would help us too."

Terri smiled at Dil as she answered her question.
"Oh yes...a great deal of information has just been dropped into our jaws, and if we play our claws right...then Redclaw will be done for good!"

"That's great!" Dil grinned. "So what do we do now?"

"I thought you meant while the grown ups talk, and maybe argue we go and take care of the problem ourselves." Deon said. Not knowing he had described often what Littlefoot and his friends did.
"We have some friends in Flattooth Valley. Maybe we can ask them to ask their parents and friends." Deon said.

"They'd never let us in," Rory said referring to himself, Chomper, Myra, Rita, Greg, Misty, and the rest of the sharpteeth.

"I, I did hear that some egg snatchers are able to sneak into the Valley" Misty pointed out, "for not good reasons, but I hear they don't get found very fast, maybe if I snuck in and found one of the young one's our age who might listen to me or something" she offered.

It sounded to Twiz like the others like this idea of his knowing where Redclaw's sleeping spot was, probably.
"I-I can show you where it's suppose to be...or where I think I was told it's suppose to be" he offered.

"Well, you better tell it to us," Dil said. "We're not going to risk the kids getting hurt."
Ichy and Ruby's mom rejoinded the group with all the dinos they had just found.

Pterano turned to Aqua and supported Ridge by saying, "I'd bet on that...he thinks he's the greatest, and that no one is willing to try and fight him, but we are about to show him just a determined herd of flatteeth and sharpteeth can really do!"

Terri gave a sly smile to Dil.
"We wait for nightfall and then we find his sleeping place and strike!"

"Yeah, we can beat him!" Chomper grinneed, overhearing Pterano.

(ooc: Sure, I can watch Redclaw for her since I'm already dealing with Screech and Thud when it's opportune for them to come back in, um...was there anyone else for her characters?)
"O-ok" Twiz said, flying up, "Um, whoever wants to go find where it is now so we know later, follow me" the kid said.
"Here I'll come along with you too, after all we don't want anything happening to y--and we gotta know where Redclaw is of course" he covered his own statement of admitting he cared what happened to Twiz.
"Ok, thanks Mr. Cree, anyway I think it was this way" Twiz flapped off to show whoever followed the way to the spot that had been pointed out as Redclaw's hiding spot.
As they got close he landed behind some rocks so the ground walkers with them could peer around and see too, "See, right over there is apparently where he sleeps, and Screech and Thud use that ledge there" the young one pointed. "But that's just what I heard, I never saw him sleeping there himself".

"We can get in." Deon said, leaving out his herd, which he and his older brother had gotten separated from (ooc: maybe by Reclaw or an earthshake) knew of some secret caves into the great valley that usually on the nights & days of the full moon their friends would use to sneak into and they could meet in the caves at times to visit, talk, play together for a while, inside the caves or just outside in the mysterious beyond protected by their herd who lived in a certain area of the mysterious beyond away from where Redclaw usually patroled, but they could not tell anyone else of the caves.

Pterano had followed behind Twiz and his brother Cree and was rather surprised at how close Redclaw's sleeping place actually was.
"I always pictured it being more...dangerous than this." he said at a whisper to Cree.

Terri looked back inside the cave and asked, "Does anyone need water, or food? It's still early, but I can go hunting if anyone needs it."

Blue-eyes looked at the others, "What do the rest of you guys think?" He asked to Terri's question.

"I'm hyngry mom," said Chomper, waking up.
"Us too," Ichy, Dil, and Greg added.

Terri nodded her head at her son, Greg and his parents.
"Okay, does anyone want to come with me?" she asked waiting for a reply.

"I will," Dil smiled. "This'll be like the old days, the old "Girls. Night Out" hunts we used to have, eh?"

"Quite a large group." Deon said.
"Yea." Ruby's Little Brother said.

"Was that sarcasm?" Dil asked confused

"no." Deon said. "Maybe we should just go." Deon said heading towards the entrance.
"Maybe best." Blue-eyes said. They could find their own way back to where their herd and family lived.

"Oh it probably will be" Cree said grimly, "remember Redclaw and those fastbiter lacky's of his are the dangerous part of this place" he pointed below to where they were.
"So...now what, do we just wait until he's here and throw thing at him?".

"My parents and the other grownups could strike when they are not ready for them," Chomper said.

Deon & Blue-eyes went along, finding their best way back to where their herd lived. Including getting some help from their friends who lived in the great valley who they were able to contact by sneaking into a cave and using their whistle language to contact them. With Rhyn flying over head they were able to find their way to the large lake and rivers where their family and herd lived.

"Can we help in any way Mr. Chomper's dad?" asked Rita.

Terri faced Dil and chuckled at her comment.
"Yes, just like the old days, and it's going to be just as much fun I'll bet as well." She then began to walk forward using her sniffer to smell for any food nearby.

Pterano nodded grimly as Cree pointed out the obvious.
"Ya know Cree...I know I give you a lot of problems for being...well you, but your observation is just so amazing." he said with an air of irritation.

Dil began using her sniffer as well. "I got the trail of some swimmers, what do you think?"

Terri picked up the scent as well.
"it will have to do for now...we can't travel too far." But she quickly nodded her head and said to the others inside the cave, "We'll be back soon with food." She then turned to Dil and motioned with her head to lead the way.

Rita's belly rumbled. "Good thing too...I'm getting hungry."

Cree smiled, "I do what I can".
Twiz, meanwhile, was still staring hard at the sleeping spot of Redclaw they'd found, "Hmm...maybe there's something in the sleeping spot that would tell a weakness or something" he wondered suddenly flapping down closer to inspect!

"Um, maybe we should find our own spot not to near for when they come back" Ridge said a bit nervously at the bellydragger's words.
"I will show you were we stay when we are wanting to not be near" Ruby said, having already spotted a section of the cave for said purpose.
"Well, thank you much little lady" Toot smiled as Ruby showed them 'her spot'.

"Can we join you guys?" Greg, Rory, and Myra asked.

"Um...well sure" Aqua said with a friendly smile, "just when the food comes...could I ask that you eat it somewhere else?".
"Yeah, we're not hardened to the sight of blood yet" Ridge said with a smile of his own, trying to make a slight joke and possibly help the words not offend in case they threatened to do such.
Misty gave a giggle as she walked up, "Well...maybe I could try one of your greenfood stuffs and see if it's as good as eggs" she shrugged.

"Some can eat both, and some can eat only green foot or the other non green food." Ruby's father said.

"Well...yeah, I have heard that..." Misty said, still a bit hesitantly. Aqua glanced about and soon spotted a bit of green jutting from the cave wall. She plucked it and tasted a twig of it herself. "Hmm, not bad, I'd say your first try should be a treestar...but we go with what we have" the swimmer said, "here dear, try this" she offered the other twig of it to Misty.
The young egg snatcher took it a bit unsurely and sniffed it before licking at it. She flinched a bit, "It's...not horrible I guess, but I don't think I'd eat it without really having to or something" she said.
She popped it in her mouth and chewed, flinching worse but swallowing it all the same, "Yeah, definitely only if I had to, uh no offense".
"None taken, after all you'll never get us near meat" Ridge shuddered at the very thought.

"And you'll never get us near greenfood," Myra laughed.
"I just hope we can stop Redclaw soon," commented Chomper.

Terri smiled as there seemed to be a rather large herd of Swimmers nearby.
"This is good...very good. Dil, care to do the honors?" she asked politely.

Pterano almost had a heart attack when Twiz flapped out and closer to Redclaws sleeping place, and being the responsible adult that he was Pterano bolted out after him, grabbing Twiz and flapping high into the sky.
"Just what do were you thinking?! Not only could you have given our hiding spot away, but worse, you could have been hurt, and how do you think that would make me feel?" He asked Twiz once they were a safe distance in the air.

"I'm sure working together we'll be able to." Ruby's Father said with confidence and to try to build up and keep up the other folk's confidence.
"I just know it's possible dad." Ruby's little brother said.

Ruby's mother nodded. "Yes, with such a large group I'm sure we have a good chance of victory. I think even Redclaw can be overwhelmed by numbers."

Finally satisfied with his digestion and the security of his imagined borders, Redclaw turned his attention back to the problem at hand: Chomper's parents. With a purposeful urgency and tension to his massive steps, the sharptooth trudged inland, growling ferociously under his breath.

"Gladly." Dil replied.
One successful hunt later.....
When the mothers arrived back at the cave, they knew what they had to do. "We have to put our plan into action soon," Dil said to everyone in both languages.

"Yes, that would be a very good outcome of cooperating" Aqua agreed, "Not that I don't already like you little sharpteeth for yourselves already" she smiled. Meat eating aside, they didn't seem much different than other younglings.
Ridge nodded with the fast runner's point, "Agreed, it's probably why he kept us all in fear so long, so we wouldn't try something like this that he knew could beat him".
They kept their distance, allowing the other sharpteeth to eat and stuck to the greenfood growing along the wall of that very good spot of the cave.
"Agreed, though past that I don't know what our first plan of action should be" Toot admitted.

Twiz flinched a bit at Pterano's scolding, "I-I'm sorry, I was just trying to help" he said meekly.
Cree had flapped out to check on if between darting out and rescue time the kid had been hurt either, "How so?" he asked, hearing Twiz's defense.
"I...I thought maybe I could see a useful other hiding spot or something" Twiz continued, "I didn't mean to worry any one or ruin everything".

Screech and Thud were right behind their leader, fanned on eitherside as they always did incase they spotted something first.

"The grownups will know," Chomper said, pointing to his parents, Ichy, Dil, Ruby's parents, and the other grownups.

"I"m sure everyone will help once the time comes." Ruby's Father said.

Pterano sighed for a moment.
"I'm not mad at you Twiz, I just wish you would have told me what you were planning to do. Since I helped the valley looking after young ones such as yourself has been one of the greatest things I look forward to, and I won't risk losing you before we find your father. So the next time you want to try something like that let me know first so you won't be put in harms way, alright?" he asked.

Terri frowned.
"I think honestly Redclaw will come after me and my mate first as we are the only two real sharpteeth willing to fight against him, and thats his greatest fear. So even if we find him first, Dein and I will fight him off."
She said in both languages.

"Just be careful mom and dad," said Chomper. "I don't want to lose you...."

Terri looked back with another frown for a moment at her son, and then smiled wide.
"Don't even worry! We're sharpteeth...we can handle ourselfs son! I promise!"

"Thanks, I needed to hear that," Chomper smiled, hugging his mother's foot.

"Ok, I will, I promise" Twiz said, flapping out and holding up a wing to show he really did promise such. At the mention of the Valley and the young ones Twiz tilted his head, "You took care of some of the others kids in the Great Valley?" he asked, "like Kit and..." Twiz's eyes went wide as somehow mentioning Kit had reminded him of an extended, by pairing family meeting not long after his hatching.
His Aunt Violet hadn't been around at the time, but her mate Tylr had and...
"That's how I'm s'pose ta know you!" the young one exclaimed, thankfully not too loud, "I just 'membered, your Uncle Tylr's actual blood relatives!".
Cree laughed, "Took ya long enough to put that together".
"Well I was like really itty bitty I think" Twiz shot back, but distractedly. "Oh boy" he circled in happiness, "Now I like you double than if you were just wierd flyers who knew my dad but that was it" he said.

"Well, Ma'am, that's quite a sacrifice" Toot said quietly, "Don't worry, we'll do our part to help out past this plan of yours though".
Misty was silent, hoping with all she had that Chomper's parents would be ok, she knew what it was to lose one or both parents.

"You okay Misty?" asked Rita, giving Chomper another kiss and hug.

"I'm sure we all have a part we can play." Ruby's Father said.

"Hmm? Oh, yeah, fine" Misty said, coming out of her thoughts. "I was just...well thinking of how I do hope nothing bad happens during all of this" she answered truthfully but vaguely.

Pterano smiled brightly as he remembered what Twiz mentioned.
"Ahhh...now it makes sense! I'll have to talk to Tylr, when I get the chance." He then turned to Cree and asked, "Well do we have enough information for our herd?"

Terri reached down and nuzzled Chomper gently hoping to keep him from worrying.

After a few minutes of stomping forward, Redclaw slowed to a stop. He had realized, much to his chagrin, that he had become a bit turned around, and hadn't even precisely known where the two sharpteeth had gotten off to in the first place. A quick breeze revealed nothing of interest to his keen sense of smell; a herd of clubtails, maybe a longneck or two. Redclaw snarled in irritation and swung his head around to scrutinize his two minions.
"Well, where are they?!" He snapped expectantly.

"Is there anything we can do to help mom?" asked Chomper.

"Yeah, I'd say so" Cree said, "All we really have to tell them is that the sleeping spot is right there, so let's go report back as it were" he flapped back towards the nest.
"Yeah, I could even help ya out with that" Twiz offered to Pterano, "I sneak into the Great Valley all the time, since I'm not sure how they'd feel about my mom's herd being sharptoothed flyers, and so I'm sure I could help sneak you in too" the young one offered.
"Except that that's kinda probation breaking" Cree pointed out, "I mean aren't you still banished for a few Cold Times yet?" he asked Pterano.
"Well they don't want me their either, I don't think" Twiz said, "so...it's kinda the same, just breaking rules eitherway" he shrugged.
Cree laughed, "I knew there was a reason I liked you kid" he teased Twiz.

As they always did, Screech and Thud didn't even think about pointing out that if Redclaw didn't know where they were, then they didn't either, or if they did think it they still didn't say it.
The two fast biters just sniffed the air, trying to pick up something the sharptooth couldn't. Thud soon caught what smelled like atleast one other sharptooth, though he couldn't tell if the trail was cold or not from here. Eitherway, it was something.
"I don't know, but another sharptooth alteast went by over there" he pointed, "so it's something" he began rushing out, mainly because if the scent turned out wrong, he wanted to know it first before Redclaw.

Pterano looked rather shocked. He'd spent so much time out here, trying to redeem his name...he'd actually forgotten how long he'd been in the Mysterious Beyond!
He gave a nervous laugh as he said to Cree.
"Well...it would seem I've lost track of how long I've been out here...so I don't know if my sentence is up or not. But it doesn't matter now, we have a job to do and a herd to protect, and that is what comes first!"

Terri thought about her son's question for a moment. She finally smiled as she got an idea.
"Chomper do you remember the shadow trick your father and I showed you to trick leafeaters? Well...if we time this attack right, we might be able to use that trick to our advantage.

"Good idea mom," Chomper said, remembering the egg stealer incident.
"So when will we do it?"

Cree nodded, "Well, assuming this attack on Redclaw goes well, if you do ever go to the Great Valley and need me to take care of that uppity threehorn fo ya, I'd be happy to do it" he said. "In fact...even if you didn't need me to show him what's what it, I'd still be happy to do it!" Cree grinned.
Twiz frowned, "Uppity threehorn, oh you mean the one that yells all the time" he smiled, "Yeah, he hurts my ears whenever I do visit, not that he's seen me".
They reached the cave soon enough and Cree darted inside followed by the others, "Good news, Twiz was right and we've spotted Redclaw's sleeping place" he said.
Misty was still pondering over what Chomper said. "Shadow trick? What shadow trick?" she asked.

"When I was a hatchling, some really mean egg nappers tried to hurt my friends. But my shadow made me look like a really big sharptooth, and that scared them off," explained Chomper.

"That may work, for a while at least." Ruby's father said.
"Then what?" Ruby's little brother said.

Terri turned to Ruby's little brother, and being careful not to smile while showing her teeth she said aloud,
"Then, we trick him into making a mistake. And hopefully that will buy us enough time to make him understand what a little teamwork between herds can do."
Pterano smiled at Terri's statement. He then turned to Cree and said, "Now now brother. As 'unpleasant' as Mr.Threehorn can be, I'm sure by now he's found something to make him stop yelling so much. I hope at least, or when I do go back I'll have to put treestars in my ears to sleep at night....he snores like a sharptooth...uhhh no offense to any here of course." he said with a smile.

"Yeah, let's take him down!" called Rory.

"Oh" Misty said, she smiled and chuckled, "Well thanks for telling this egg napper so I won't be afraid when it happens" she said, "though I do kinda want to see it now" she admitted excitedly.
"Yes" Ruby agreed, liking Terris idea, "A little distraction and he will probably be very distracted" the little fast runner said.

"Ok, watch this!" Chomper smiled. He began to walk out of the cave, then he turned around. Walking slowly, his shadow on the wall made him appear bigger then he actually was. "Roar! I'm a big sharptooth!" he said, trying not to laugh.

"Wow, pretty wild." Ruby's Little brother said impressed.

"Oh wow, that really does look like you are a big sharptooth!" Misty said.
Ruby giggled a bit, "Oh yes Chomper, your shadow is so big that other sharpteeth will think you are big too" she said.
"For a bit anyway..." watching the kids, Cree saw the flaw in this plan, but didn't want to squash the kids' enthusiasm over it, and like the sharptooth had said, it would do very nicely for a start.
"I know" he turned to Pterano as his brother had to apologize for his statement, "I know probably a millions sharptooth jokes and now I'm gonna have to watch myself and not say them!". He sighed, "and knowing me that might not go well...no comment" he added firmly and with a pointed finger, knowing Pterano would probably have one.

"Don't worry guys, I'll do this if we have to," Chomper smiled confidentally

Terri then faced her son.
"And I'll be sure you stay safe when the trick stops working. You're my only son, and I won't have Redclaw hurt you in any way." she said with a loving smile.

"Still the question my mind is if when we strike how will we split up Screech and Thud from protecting Redclaw?"

Redclaw quickened after the fastbiter. He hadn't really expected either of them to provide any new information, he had just been a bit frustrated. He wasn't very hopeful about the old scent Thud had caught, but it was better than nothing.

Rory, Rita, Myra, and Greg were preparing for any necessary upcoming battle.

Ruby's father was attempting to keep the kids in sight so they did not get into dangerous mischief if he could help it.
Ruby's little brother was seeing if he could keep 2 rocks in the air with a hand.

"Hmm" Cree pondered this, "Well...I'd say we could both keep one of them busy a piece, you know, distracted, while the others deal with Redclaw..but that puts each of us alone against a fast biter and...well I do have other siblings to answer too eventually if I do get you hurt so...I'm a bit uneasy about that one, plus I don't know if we could keep the kid from interfering into danger too" he indicated Twiz, who frowned.
"Hey, I said I wouldn't do stuff like that anymore" he answered, "I'm sticking with the others kids in whatever we get to do to help" he indicated Misty, Ruby, her siblings, Chomper and the others.

Screech and Thud followed along, Thud anxious about whether or not he was onto something or not.

Pterano nodded at Twiz's statement. "That's good to hear Twiz. Now Cree...I don't mind being in a potential dangerous spot, especially when Screech and Thud can't really reach us anyway, so that's good news for us."
Terri stepped forward as the bright circle began to set in the sky.
"It is almost time everyone...we need to be ready."

"We will be," Chomper assured. "Right guys?"

"maybe we can use some vine to tie them up or someting." Ruby's little brother said.

"Neat idea," commented Rory.

"All going well, yes" Cree answered cautiously, yet nonetheless nodded.
Twiz smiled and nodded, "You bet!" he said in answer to Terri's statement. Misty laughed at the other kids enthusiasm yet nodded as well.

Pterano smiled at the idea.
"You see Cree, hatchlings can sometimes be far smarter than a grown-up if given the chance, and that is exactly how we will deal with Screech and Thud, we'll tie them up with vines."
Terri nuzzled Chomper once more and thanked her son for being so brave.
"You'll grow up to be a very good sharptooth son." she said with a smile on her face.

"Thanks mom," Chomper grinned.
"So can we go kick some Redclaw butt?" Greg laughed confidentally.

"I'm sure we'll all play an important part and will see & experience enough excitement to make many stories to tell in the future." Ruby's father said.

"Those'll be cool to tell," smiled Greg.

Ruby's little brother nodded, "I bet it will." he said, imaging everyone telling stories to others in the future.

"And we'll finally be able to save the Mysterious Beyond," Rita sighed happily.
-
"yea, and have it be more peaceful like." Ruby's little brother said.

"Agreed," Dil said in flattooth.
-
"Well it was a good idea, yes" Cree admitted, "but I don't know about young ones being smarter than us" he said.
"I do" Twiz smiled, "and yeah, that'd be so neat if we could get rid of Redclaw! For real I mean!".
"Almost too good to be true, but it probably will be true" Misty replied.

"If we have enough that work together and have a good plan we stick with, and maybe a backup plan just in case, then why not?" Ruby's father said.

"Yeah, we can do this!" Rita cheered.

Terri had been keeping an eye on the sky outside their cave, and she gave a broad grin as the bright circle descended from sky. She turned to face her mate and everyone else inside the cave and said with an air of joy.
"It. Is. Time." she said in sharptooth
Pterano laughed at Cree for a moment.
"As well as that may be true brother, but as the saying goes 'out of the mouths of hatchlings'." he said with another laugh remembering having used that line once before.

Everyone was getting ready. Chomper, Rory, Rita, Ichy, Dil, Greg, Misty, Ruby, Ruby's family, Blue-Eyes, Cree, Pterano, and the others were getting ready for a big battle

"I found some more vine." Ruby's Littlebrother said happily.
"That'll be very helpful." Ruby's father said smiling at him.
-
"We'll help you find some too," said Rory and Myra.
-
"Inside joke?" Cree wondered, seeing Pterano's smile and chuckle.
"I can help collect vines too" Twiz offered, and Misty nodded, "Yeah, we'll bring back a small forest of 'em" the egg snatcher said.

"So let's go!" called Myra. Rory and Myra's parents also joined in the cause.

Redclaw snarled, gnashing his teeth in frustration. They cold trail that they had been following had finally disappeared in its entirety. With a final throaty roar at his henchmen, he admitted defeat. It was already dark. The others had been correct in thinking that, yes, even Redclaw needed his rest. He stomped off toward his sleeping place, doing irreparable damage to any inanimate object with the nerve to get in his way.

Pterano chuckled again at Cree's question.
"Yes I suppose it is."
Terri walked over to Chomper and asked, "Are you sure you want to use your shadow trick Chomper? I don't want you getting hurt."

"Only if we have to use it mom," Chomper replied.
-
"Good, if we have lots of vines we can pick the best ones." Ruby's little brother said.
Ruby's father nodded. "Sounds like we're about ready with some parts of it."

With a nod, Twiz and Misty followed. Cree almost flapped out with them just to keep tabs on Twiz, yet paused. "Oh well...I guess group that big, the kid'll be fine..." he said half to himself, after all this caring thing was still new and a bit strange and he was slightly embarrassed.

"I told you it was cold" Screech whispered to Thud, the other fast biter frowned, "Oh you did not!" he quipped back, the threat of trouble from Redclaw being in a bad mood usually didn't help Screech or Thud out in their moods much, they dropped the argument after this though, not wanting to becoming a nuisance in another way.

"Sure can" Misty agreed with a smile as they came to a group of vines. "Ok, let's see..." she began picking through a few.

Pterano stiffled a laugh at Cree as he said,
"If I didn't know any better Cree...I would say you were beginning to care about Twiz."
Terri smiled at the group and whispered 'Good luck everyone."

Rory and Myra began getting a lot of vines. "Hopefully they won't be able to escape from these," Rory commented.

"Am not" Cree crossed his wings, "you think I'd let some pipsqueak of a little hatchling get to me? Please, I don't even like our own neices and nephews" all of this was a lie of course.

"Yeah, let's get them back to the group!" Misty said excitedly, carrying her own pile, Twiz held some in his beak too. "This'll be so cool, we can trip him and tie him up all with the same pile probably!".

Ruby's brother had laid his vine out so he could get a better look at how long it was and how good it looked overall, weak spots and the like.

Misty and Twiz looked on at Ruby's brother's investigation of the vines. "Well, do they look though enough?" Twiz asked.
-
Ruby's little brother nodded. "Maybe the different ones can be used for different things." He said.
"Like the shorter ones tying up legs, wrists, muzzles for medium ones, and such you mean?" Ruby's father said while smiling, adding in a few ideas while expanding on what seemed to be the direction his son was heading in.

"Hopefully they'll work," said Rory.
"Good idea, I'll find those," said Myra.

Pterano laughed at Cree.
"I can tell you're lying...but it seems to those that don't know you...that you're back to normal." he then smiled at the work the others had done at gathering the vines and said aloud, "I know those vines will work well. And Cree and I will do our best to keep Thud and Screech distracted long enough for you to use the vines. I can promise you."

Misty giggled, "and we're so small we could probably tie them up without them knowing" she said. "Yeah" Twiz agreed, "especially since Mr. Pterno's comments aside" he smiled, "I've noticed grown-ups don't take us kids seriously".

"Just more of my keeping dinosaurs guessing so I have the upper hand" Cree smiled. "Yeah, would have worked too if you didn't just say that" Ridge grinned at the flyer.

Pterano couldn't help but laugh at Ridge's comment.
"Very true. Now aside from distracting Screech and Thud, if we get them tied with our vines, how will we deal with Redclaw?" he asked for a moment.
Terri didn't show it, but she was starting to worry. She and her mate would be a challenge for Redclaw, but she wasn't sure even the two of them would be strong enough to subdue him for long.

Dil, Ichy, Rory's parents, and Myra's parents appeared. "We'll help out with a battle, it'll be like the good old days, eh Terri?" Dil grinned.

This question had at least the rest of Pterano's little herd thinking. "That is the trickiest part" Toot agreed.
"W-we could try pushing a big rock ontop of him or something" Twiz said, "then he'd be easier to tie up if he wasn't awake to snap at everyone".

Pterano reached out an in an act of sheer compassion hugged Twiz as he stated, "And the young one out thinks the elders again!" he then whispered into his ear "It seems to me, that you will be a dynamic and heroic herd leader when you grow up...and you might even take after me!"
Terri couldn't help but smile at Dil's enthusiasm.
"Yeah...just like the good old days." She then looked outside and sighed.
"I just hope....nothing goes wrong."

"Neither do I," said Ichy.

"Hmm," Ruby's father thought, "Perhaps Chomper's parents, being the same species can offer some ideas, some maybe weaknesses or other sorts of things we can exploit when battling Red Claw." He suggested not sure if his idea was any good or not.

"R-really?!" Twiz's whole face seemed to light up at what Pterano said, "'c-cause I got a herd I'm gonna get to lead probably anyway due to my mom, so...that be awesome!" he exclaimed.

Pterano laughed aloud for a moment.
"You should be proud then. And if we happen to find your father, then he too will be overjoyed to hear it as well."
Terri seemed to perk up at the idea of weaknesses about Redclaw, with them all being the same species.
"Okay, well...If I remember right then Redclaw, just like me and my mate should have trouble keeping his balance. If we can throw him off balance then he won't be able to stand up straight."

"That is very interesting." Ruby's father said, "And gives us a starting point. I wonder if he can see equally well out of both of his eyes."
"Just how to get him of balance." Ruby's little brother said.

"The balance things is a great idea," Dil said, "And maybe I sneak attack from behind too!"

"Yeah he would" Twiz's grin grew, "and...and if they gave me leadership early or anything, I could just unban him since, I could do that, but either way he'd be so happy and proud" the kid beamed.
Cree had been watching this and shook his head, "Ok Mr. high promises" he told Pterano, "now you have to find his dad, you realize, after all you just promised him".
"Is he, or you, easily tripped?" Misty asked, "That could help us get him off balance if we could hide enough to do it".
"Or even flying around his head and making him dizzy or something...maybe" Twiz shrugged, despite all this talk on his dad paying some attention to the planning.

"Ruby, could you help us with these vines?" Rita and Myra asked.
-
"Oh sure, what do you need me to help with that is helping?" Ruby asked, walking over to the other kids.
-
"Those are good ideas." Ruby's father said nodding. "Just which ones to try, or all of them." He said.

"Carrying some of these vines," explained Rory.
-
Terri looked around outside for a moment before sniffing the air and caught a scent...one that every sharptooth would recognize instantly...Redclaw! Terri gritted her teeth and growled for a moment before she turned around to the others in the cave and said aloud.
"He's close by, and he's most likely asleep by now...so we have to strike soon..."
Pterano smiled without worry as he said, "But of course I intend to keep my promise...I am an honest flyer after all!"

"All right, let's take him down!" called Ichy.
Amanda and her herd of rexes were still willing to help.

"Let's take him down.' Ruby's father said.

(Sorry I haven't posted in a bit... been busy :( )
The massive sharptooth was relieved when he finally set foot in his sleeping place. Now, at least for a little while, he could escape from the grueling work of keeping his foothold in this vast land. He sniffed the air briefly, surveying the area before settling down. He noticed that a few flyers seemed to have come around earlier, but paid the information no mind. Flyers didn't trouble him, especially so few. With a clumsy thud he curled himself up on familiar ground, drifting off to sleep in an infinitely better mood.

Ruby took up as many of the vines as she could, "We will be sure to have enough with all of these" she said, seeing how many the others already had. "Let's hope so" Misty said.
"Yeah, he'll find my dad" Twiz smiled, completely confident that Pterano could do it.
Cree heard Pterano's response, but was focued on the fact that apparently they would be striking soon and he prepared for it.

Screech and Thud took up their own positions nearby and curled up, not near enough to intrude on Redclaw's space, but not far enough to be out of roaring distance when needed.

Meanwhile, not near Redclaw's sleeping spot, but still within a part of the Mysterious Beyond in immediate danger of Redclaw's appearance, a lone flyer, Twiz's father, Trip, landed after having flown almost the whole day along with a herd of spike-backed clubtails (Gastonia). It had been bad enough he'd been thought of as less than worthy, as a flattoothed flyer, to lead the herd and leader's mate or not kicked out, but...if any of them ever found out how he'd been making due...he wasn't even a scout for the spike-backed clubtail herd, scouts got to fly ahead and bring word back on their own.
No, Trip was a...look out, a...'watcher flyer' as they put it. He was suppose to stay right on the middle spike-backed clubtail's back and keep an immediete look out for the nearsighted clubtail's and flap up if a sharptooth approached, giving them a first warning.
They didn't care, because it was their life on the line, if he helped in pecking the sharpteeth, but once with a herd of fast biters his defense had outdone the leader and that had not been taken well.
"Hey!" the leader of the spike-backed clubtails looked up at Trip in the tree, "you know the rules, stay down here, around the herd, we can't hear you from up there and by the time we could it would be too late, what do you want to be, useless!" he scolded.
Trip sighed, "Sorry sir" he flapped lower. Much as he loved and missed his young son Twiz, Trip was beginning to think it was probably a good idea his son didn't know of all of this lest he be mortified by his own father's weakness to let clubtails boss him around.

Terri was smiling as she heard the confident cheers behind her. She then stepped forward and said, "Please, everyone follow me and Dein, we'll lead the way. It won't be very far now." She then looked to Pterano, Twiz, and Cree as she asked, "Will you three be joining us?"
Pterano smiled broadly as he thought of a chance to bring down the biggest threat in the Mysterious Beyond.
"I'm coming without a doubt." he stated firmly.

"Got it," the group replied.
Dil joined Chomper's parents at the head of the pack. "Maybe we'll finally be able to hunt in peace if we can finish Redclaw off," she said to Terri.

"Things will be more peaceful once he is taken care of." Ruby's Father said.
-
"So let's do this," said Dil.
-
Terri smiled wide as she took the first steps leading their combined herd out of the cave and towards Redclaws sleeping grounds. "Stay close everyone...we don't want any surprises...even if Redclaw is asleep."
-
"Got it mom," Chomper nodded. The group went on ahead silently.
-
Ruby's little brother and father walked along with the group, as quietly as they could.
-
"Yeah, the only surprise that should happen is the one Redclaw's gonna get, from us" Twiz said, and not bragging or anything but in such that just stating way that kids have that Cree had to hid a laugh.
Ok, maybe Pterano was right and kid's statements were just priceless sometimes. "A bit quiter if you could, kid" he whispered to Twiz, "but yeah, you're right".
Misty and Ruby followed along with the others.

Ruby's mother and sister also followed, the older dinosaur keeping her young ones in sight at all times.

Ruby's father attempted to keep closer to where the kids were to try to keep a watch over them and watch out for danger for them also.

Terri grinned happily as she said quietly to the rest of their attack group.
"And here is our prize...Time for our little...'party.' She said still smiling.
Pterano could see what she meant and shuddered for a moment as he thought about what could go wrong.
"I know we can do it...I just have to smart about this..." he said with a wavering voice.
-
"Yup, brawn is nothing without brains," Dil said.
"And we know which one you have Dil," Ichy said. Dil shot a look, but then smirked as the belly dragger walked with the rest of the attack group.
-
Ruby's father nods, "We have to be careful." Ruby's father said as quietly as he could but so others would still hear.
-
From where the other kids were, Twiz peered out, "I hope we have enough vines...". Ruby put a hand on his shoulder, as if to silently say they did and not to worry.
"No worries, my horn's ready to deal with some mean sharpteeth" Toot, from within Pterano and Cree's small herd said. Cree smiled and nodded, "Yeah, we'll get through this fine" he said half for Pterano's sake.

"We should," Greg said, he, Rory, Chomper, Rita, and Myra joining Ruby's group. "Maybe when this is all over there can finally be some peace and quiet," the belly dragger went on.
-
"That would be nice." Ruby's little brother said, liking that idea.
-
"Yes nice...if a little dull." Commented Pterano with a grin.
Terri laughed silently as she replied, "Perhaps for you..but not for us sharpteeth...it just means more territory to cover!" She grinned at the thought of more land...it was a happy moment.
-
"Oh I'd keep it from being dull" Cree assured with a grin of his own, "less real threat would just mean more time to come up with pranks, like hey kid" he turned to Twiz, "you ever stick small flyer hatchling together with sticky tree stuffs without them knowing it?".
Twiz frowned, "No, why would I do that?". Cree grinned, "Just to watch them be surprised by it when they find out". Twiz shook his head, "it doesn't sound very nice" he said.

"I guess the discussions of what to do with the change of no Redclaw can be done afterwards, & hopefully there won't be much arguing or fighing." Ruby's Father said.
-
"Yeah, let's wait to after this is all over to decide what we'll do," Ichy said.
-
Cree frowned and was about to say something to the kids about how they'd had misunderstood his apparent lack of focus, but thought better of it and just rolled his eyes. "Well fine, who said I wasn't ready to get to the tail whipping Redclaw's deserved".
-
"And I want to give him the big bite he deserves," said Dil, ready for combat. Dil loved 4 things: Her son, Ichy, food, and beating up bulies.
-
Ruby's father smiled at Dil's comment. "I'm sure you're not the only one who wants to bite him." he said.
-
"We do too," Rory and Myra said in unison.
-
Terri had to smile. "Just so you all know...I'm not going to bite him...if I get the chance I'm breaking his neck. I can't wait...we should be getting there soon, and then we can bring an end to the fear in the Mysterious Beyond." she said quietly
Pterano had to glare at Cree for a moment.
"Only you could come up with something so devious. Why aside from the shock of seeing their faces would you do that? And you did unstick them right Cree?" he asked hoping the answer would be positive.

Ruby's father nodded, "Someone must sooner or later." He said.
-
"Yes, I let them go" Cree said with a sigh, "and for your information it wasn't just for mean sport, it was a group of neighbors I had at at time in this canyon and they kept asking me to babysit and I told them I didn't want to so I finally had to go to extreme measures to get them to never ask me again ever...they chased me away too, but then I didn't like living around there anyway" Cree shrugged.
"Gosh" Twiz smiled a bit, "after they banished you to the Mysterious Beyond you got banished while banished" the kid realized. Cree frowned, "Yeah, what of it kid" he grumbled, though it was plain he was just teasing and not really mad at Twiz.

"Can I join in in the neck breaking?" Dil asked Terri hopefully.

Terri grinned happily and replied to Dil,
"Of course! The more, the merrier I say!"
Pterano grinned at his brother and said, "Well I'm proud of you. At least you let them go eventually. But to be exiled after being exiled...even if you didn't like that herd there is always safety in numbers you know that." he said aloud.

"Yeah! Let's tear him to pieces!" Di laughed in an almost playful tone.
Meanwhile the kids were getting ready. "This is Redclaw's sleeping area, from what I've heard," said Rory.
-
"Nasty." Ruby's little brother said looking around as we went along with the rest of the kids.
-
"Agreed," Rory said.
-
Redclaw was curled up towards the edge of his nest. His breathing was soft and regular. He looked, if it was possible, quite peaceful; almost docile. But sleep would only last so long. Their plan now depended on swiftness and silence.
-
"Yeah, I know" Cree grumbled.
Ridge, meanwhile, hearing this, glanced up at the flyers, "This from the guy who decided to take off, with us in tow, because of an annoying three horn?" he asked. Aqua giggled, "Now Ridge, there were more reasons than just Mr. Threehorn for our little trip".
Twiz landed near the other kids, "So, what do we do now?" he asked very very quietly.

"Try to tie up Screech and Thud," said chomper.
-
Ruby's brother nodded, "They may try to help him." He said quietly holding up some vine himself.
-
"And if we tie them up, it'll be easier to beat Redclaw," said Greg.
-
Pterano's face held a seriousness to it that even he wasn't prepared for as he quietly said, "Then what are we waiting for...an invitation...let's bring them down!" He then lifted several vines with his feet and as quickly and quietly as he could he flew over to Screech and Thud hoping to be able to tie them up with the others help before they could awaken.
Terri had to admit she admired Pteranos' bold initiative to take the lead like that, considering if Redclaw woke up, chances are he'd aim for the nearest source of food, that being the flyer himself. But she shrugged it off for a moment and said, "everyone steady...get ready..." and just as she was about to say the final word a twinge of fear struck her, but she narrowed her eyes and shouted with a mighty roar "GO!" as she rushed forward intent on keeping Redclaw pinned to the ground.

Ruby's brother came forward with the vines he held to try to start tieing up Screech and Thud.
-
Chomper, Rita, and the other kids joined in in tieing up Screech and Thud. It was working for the time being.
-
Twiz flapped up, pulling vines with him as he tried to secure Screech's snout. The fast biter awoke though and gave a roar of annoyance, snapping out at the little flyer and breaking the one vine wrapped about his jaw.
"Hey!" Cree darted in and pecked him, "let's leave the kids alone", he had vines in his own feet and quickly wrapped these over Screech's snout and pulled, Twiz flying back down to help him. Screech continued to wiggle, but found that his snout at least was clamped shut, stopping any protest.
Thud, also awake, was actually getting a bit worried as he felt the vines successfully tying him up too, yet then he found a footing and was able to stand, thrashing about as he did so. It would snap the vines in a matter of moments if he was given enough opportunity.
Meanwhile, Ridge the spiketail and Toot the one horn rushed in on the sides to inflict wounds where Redclaw wasn't held down by Terri before darting out again and coming in again.
"That's it! In and out" Toot smirked, "it's how his precious fast biters fight".

Ruby's brother tried to jump on Thud and tried to claw & bite him.
Ruby's father tried to pull up one of Redclaw's legs so he could not move it to get it under him.
-
True to her word Terri had her mouth around Redclaws throat and was holding him down with one of her feet making sure he moved as little as possible until Screech and Thud had been taken care of.
Pterano had tried to tie up Thud several times, but now it seemed with help he was finally being subdued. He smiled as he pulled on another vine and the vine responded by tightening around his legs and forcing the fastbiter to fall on his side.
"Yes! We really can do this if we work together!" he cried, almost too happy to see this plan working so well.

Chomper and Rita bit Screech and Thud on the feet, making it hard for them to stand. "You're going down!" they said.
Dil ran over to Terri, and climbed onto Redclaw, helping Terri hold im down. "You aren't getting away! she roared.
-
With a final roar of annoyance at this rebel group's abilities, Thud tried to shake off the runner. "That is not a kind action that is nice!" Ruby all but scolded the fast biter as she leapt in to help her brother.
"Jump" she instructed him though, and gently nudged him to the side as Thud fell true to his name straight onto the ground from Pterano tying up his feet.
Screech followed as Cree looped a vine about the other fast biter's feet and pulled him down. "Ha, he so went down faster than yours did" he half gloated to Pterano, mainly just being glad the plan was working.
Sceech and Thud whined their annoyance through their now tightly clamped snouts.

"That just leaves Redclaw," said Chomper.
-
"They seem to be done." Ruby's brother said stepping back from the tied up fastbiters.
-
Terri was now having a far harder time at keeping Redclaw in place...he was almost as big as she was and he wasn't happy...and he showed it by struggling against this with all his strength.
"Redclaw is...stronger than I thought!" commented Terri through gritted teeth
-
Ruby's father struggled to try to keep Redclaw from getting his foot under him, grunting with the effort.
"Looks like we'll need more help here & soon." He said.
-
Redclaw had had a rude awakening, and though he didn't quite understand what was going on, that didn't help matters much. The large sharptooth was thrashing violently, whipping his tail about in a fury.
-
Screech and Thud continued to struggle as well, they had to get these vines off and help Redclaw.
Cree kept an eye on them, "Ah, none of that!" he said. The fast biters screeched back as much of an answer as they could with tied up muzzles.
-
"Yea, just lay still and things will go easier." Ruby's brother said to the fastbiters.
-
"And maybe we won't kill ya," said Rory.
-
Screech and Thud gave a very loud muffled roar at that and tried to stand once more, yet paused halfway through and decided that maybe they should play it safe and decide how to avoid being attacked more before they did something foolish.
On Thud's more or less cue, they stopped struggling too much and just thought...how were they going to get past these flatteeth and weak sharpteeth?

Terri bit down as hard as she could, and now tasted blood....Redclaws' blood. For a moment she felt sickened by tasting another sharptooths' blood but at the same time...it was exhialrating...to know that they as a group were bringing down the most feared sharptooth in the entire Mysterious Beyond.
"Keep still Redclaw or I will break your neck!" she threatened through her teeth.
Pterano smiled, as he kept watch over Screech and Thud as well. He looked over and frowned though as he said, "It would seem they need help in holding Redclaw to the ground...should we go and lend a wing?" he asked no one in particular.

Ruby's father did his best to try to keep Redclaw's leg he was holding from him getting it under him, grunting at some of the efforts.
"We still need some to guard these 2 in case they get to trying to get free again." Ruby's brother said.

Dil bit down on Redclaw's feat. "Take that!" she roared.

Redclaw roared, thrashed once more in pain, and then lay still. He desperately searched for a way out, but found none. For the moment, he was trapped.

Terri smiled wide even with Redclaws neck in her mouth as she said,
"I think it's over! I'm not letting go just yet, but he's stopped fighting us...so I believe it's safe to say we just won!"

Ichy began pecking hard into Redclaw's stomach, creating multiple holes in it.

Redclaw snarled and thrashed again, striking at the sharpbeak with his tail. He may have been at a severe disadvantage, but even in such a state he would not sit idly by as he was pierced.

Ichy got slightly hit by the tail, but nothing too serious. Alternating between tail dodging and stomach piercing, he was proving to be a big help.
""Go dad and mom!" Greg called from the sidelines

Ruby's brother cheered the others on, "You're doing great." He said.

"Depends how many are needed guarding these two..." Cree thought for a bit. "I'll go see what I can do, but call if you need help with these lackys" he said, flapping over to see how everything with Redclaw was doing even if he'd stopped thrashing.
"Um...I think you can stop pecking him now that he's down" Twiz called, flinching a bit, "after all, you don't want to get as mean as him or anything". Misty looked at him a bit in shock and he looked embarrassed, "I didn't say they were just that they shouldn't be".

"Really? I have to stop?" Ichy asked, as Dil bit into Redclaw's tail

"Maybe once we're sure they are all subdued." Ruby's father said.

"We'll take care of that," Amanda and her herd of sharpteeth said, whacking them in their heads with their tails.

Terri's gaze shifted for a moment as she noticed Amanda's herd joining the fun. She couldn't help but grin as she spoke.
"About time you showed up Amanda...what were you and your herd doing...taking a nap?!" she asked humorously as she continued to bite down on Redclaws neck.

Redclaw thrashed again, more out of fear and confusion than anything. He was being hit from all sides, and the only attacker that he had any kind of visual on was the huge sharptooth with her teeth in his neck.

Dil bit right into Redclaw's side, an effective move for sure.

"let's continue. We seem to be succeeding." Ruby's father said, not entirely sure where this was going to lead.

Ichy kept pecking Redclaw, holes appearing in the rex's body

Redclaw thrashed again, trying desperately to wrest himself free and swat at Ichy with his tail.

The herd of flateeth helping out continued their barrage as well, yet Toot and the others soon noticed especially with Amanda's herd also helping, they weren't really needed so they stepped back a bit to let the other sharpteeth have at it more effectively.
As they watched their leader continue to go down, Screech and Thud jerked at the vines once more to try and feee themselves and help him.
"Now come on!" Thud cried, "We could'a killed you guys any number of times but didn't, is this really what a bit of bullying's gonna get us!"
Cree had Twiz translate then frowned. It was a point, at what point did they draw the line of who could and couldn't be reformed...well that depended on the sharpteeth he knew.
He flapped down a bit closer and looked at the two fast biters, "Everything you did was under orders..." he admitted. He thought a bit more, looked to Redclaw, shook his head and flapped back over to where Pterano was.
"There's not a power I know of that could make me let that sharptooth free!" he began, "but call me crazy, but...those fast biters might be redeemable, maybe". He glanced to Pterano, "What do you think?".

"You know...maybe we shouldn't harm Screech and Thud," Chomper asid suddenly. "Maybe they can change."

"Maybe, but who knows?" Ruby's brother said, not sure.

"Yeah, we don't know..." Rory continued.

Twiz flapped down closer to where the fast biters were. "Would you guys promise to be nicer?" he asked in sharptooth.
Screech and Thud looked at eachother.
"Yeah, don't think..." Screech began sarcastically.
"Maybe" Thud cut in. Screech looked to him in shock. Thud was just trying to think through what their best option was here. The unthinkable had already happened and the sharpteeth and even flatteeth of the Mysterious Beyond banded together against them. They had to play every move smart from now on to end up out of this alive, and he hoped Screech and Redclaw could see that.

Rory and Myra looked at Thud, not sure whether or not to trust them.

"What should we do with them?" Rory asked.

Terri knew this idea was crazy, but if everyone else was considering letting Screech and Thud go free, then why not give them a chance? Terri then cleared her throat as she said, "Well...if we're really thinking about this, then why not let them join our herd...that way we can keep an eye on them, and at the same time strengthen our own goals."
Pterano turned to his brother and replied.
"All fate aside...they might have a chance at redemption...I know I do...and I say we give them a chance." he then turned around as he heard Terri speaking.
"My dear..that is sheer brilliance! Yes, that would certainly make the most sense considering what options we do and don't have."

Ruby's father nodded, "It may work, though you'd have to be careful of them." He said.

"So what do we do now mom?" asked Chomper.
-
"So, should I cut them loose?" Twiz asked.
Screech smirked at this, "Ah, I see..." he looked over to Thud. The green fast biter sighed, "Screech, I'm actually thinking of...well not...stirring up trouble for now, it's the only way we're gonna get out of this" Thud said.
The amount of cooperation he was already thinking of he knew would just infuriate Redclaw, but follower though he was, Thud would consider himself the thinker of him and his brother and this took strategy of what was wisest, as he'd said.
"Well, true as that may be" Ridge told Pterano, "neither you or even Cree here were ever guilty of crimes as bad as those two and Redclaw!" he said.
((OOC: I don't have a reason for picking who's the brains and brawns of Screech and Thud, just going with Thud cooperating since he at least let Ducky and Chomper go that time))

Chomper hoped Screech and Thud could change their ways.
Redclaw meanwhile was narly dead, Terri, Dil, and Ichy really did a number on him.

"I guess with so many here and others able to keep an eye on them it may be ok." Ruby's Little Brother said, still not exactly sure.

"So should we leave them tied up?" asked Rory.
-
"Well it's not very trusting. or what fellow 'herd' members do if you are gonna make us members!" Thud shot out.
"Yeah...I suppose we would have to let them loose, only under supervision as we said..." Cree said, still like he was thinking through this.

"That may work, but it would have to be under supervision indeed." Ruby's father said nodding.

"Good point," said Rita.
-
"So..." Thud tried to retain some level of patience in his voice, as he caught enough from the Sharpteeth's talk to know what they were saying, "...how about doing that and letting us loose 'with supervision'?".

"In a bit," Rita said. "And we'll probably release you first Thud."

"Do you know him better then his buddy?" Ruby's little brother asked.

"Well...Thud did help me and one of my old friends, once," Chomper remembered.

Terri frowned at Chompers news.
"And how exactly did he help you my son? Not with his teeth I hope."

"Well, me and some of my friends were being chased by Redclaw and them once, then me, Rita, and Thud got stuck on a rock. Thud's tail was trapped, so he couldn't move. When the others arrived, I felt bad for Thud and I loosened the rocks. Later...he had the chance to give our location to Redclaw, but he didn't," Chomper explained.

"Sounds scary." Ruby's little brother said.
"Quite a scary experience I'm sure." Ruby's father said.

Thud squirmed a bit uncomfortably and it had nothing to do with the vines holding him in place.
Screech at first look puzzled, then it dawned on him what incident the little biter was talking about. He turned over to look at his brother, "You mean to tell me...you spotted them...and then pretended you didn't?! That the whole time afterward when Redclaw was letting into us for our failure, it wasn't needed, you could have spared us all that!".
"They freed me outright, when you two were no where near, what'ya expect me to do?!" Thud asked.
Screech shook his head and turned away, "First off, you know if I'd tried to just leave Redclaw wouldn't have had any of it, and second I suppose my 'accidentally' stepped on tail was funny".
"I didn't say that" Thud muttered. Screech then noticed the other about prying into this little conversation, or at least the sharpteeth who could understand it were.
"So, you guys gonna let us go for my brother's good deed and all or just stand there spying into private conversations?!".
Despite his own shock, Twiz had been translating the bulk of the conversation back to the leafeaters and Cree smirked. "Well when you have it out in the open it's not a private conversation, but then I guess they have little choice" he said to himself and a bit to Pterano and their herd.

Pterano gave a heavy sigh as he looked towards the ground for a moment then repiled, "I say release them...as long as Redclaw has no real control over these two, they may not be all bad."
Terri had to grin at the prospect of one of the two brother fastbiters helping her son when he was cornered. She lowered her head to face Thud and said, "Thank you, for helping my son."

Chomper and Rita nodded. They went over to Thud and slashed the vines off of him.

"Who will keep an eye on them?" Ruby's father asked.

Thud wasn't sure what to say to Terri's thanks, and just looked a bit uncomfortable before the others released him. Despite the conversation he'd understood, Twiz stepped back to behind Cree and Pterano as the fast biter shook himself free.
With a smile, Thud then clipped Screech's vines with his jaws, freeing his brother. "And you say I never do anything for you" he grinned.
"Squash it!" Screech said back (ooc: you know, 'can it' :DD).
"Well, while I'm sure Chomper's parents might want that job for themselves..." Cree began, "I'll volunteer to fast-biter sit the two trouble makers for ya if you all feel like it" the flyer went on to offer.

"Thanks Cree, don't let them out of your sight," Rory said, and Greg nodded.

"Don't be afraid or to proud to ask for some help also, even if it's just so you can take a rest." Ruby's father said looking at Cree.

Something was hiding behind the many rocks and stones, listening to all that was said. It looked around to see what was going on and hid behind the rocks again whenever it thinks it's been spotted.
OOC: Yep, rusty.. The area we are in now is rocky and stoney, right? ^_^

Pterano was proud to hear his brother take such a risk, but he sighed as he said, "Do you honestly believe that I would be so foolish as to let you watch them alone Cree...not at all! We are brothers just like them...they must see what we brothers are capable of."
Terri gave a dark grin to both fastbiters as if warning them without speaking, and she then turned to face her son and asked, "Are you sure you want them freed? They may try to harm you."

"If they do try, you can crush them easily," Chomper smiled to his mom.

"Yeah, of course I'll let you help" Cree told Pterano with a grin. "and me too?" Twiz asked, flapping up.
"Uh, we'll have to talk about that one" Cree said, "but hey, you can help us by watching the herd when we get to busy, after all you're some kind of future leader aren't ya?".
"Sure am" Twiz said, "and I'd be happy to help you watching the herd".
From the herd in question, Toot frowned yet in half kidding. "Babysat but a hatchling, somehow that's insulting" he told the others.
Off of Terri's response, Thud tried hard not to scoff. "Uh, yeah, we may have or had moral issues but we're not dumb" he said bluntly.

"Let's just hope things turn out for the best." Ruby's father said.
"I sure do." Ruby's young brother said.

Terri grinned at both Chompers and Thud's statements.
"I suppose you both are right...but one slip up from you or your brother Thud, and I promise you may not live to see the bright circle rise again."

"And I believe you" Thud said.

Meanwhile, Twiz' father Trip and his herd of spike-backed clubtails (Gastonia for the reminder of way back when I last mentioned them) neared the spot and from the back of the head spike-backed clubtail, Trip spotted Terri.
He immediately flapped up, whispering "Sharptooth!" as was his job in being look out for the poor sighted herd and flapped even higher yet just to keep a better watch.
The leader paused and bellowed to his herd, swinging his tail and squinting to get a better view of what was in front of him.
"Hey! Stupid flyer, get back here, you have to tell me if she's charging or if I"m looking at her butt!" the club-tail hollered after Trip.
"Oh yeah, who wouldn't want this job" Trip muttered to himself before he noticed the odd mixture of flateeth with the sharpteeth, now what could that mean?
He even thought he spotted a few more flyers and...it couldn't be!

Pterano just happened to glance over and could swear he saw a familiar flyer...at a distance. He then turned to Twiz and Cree as he asked, "Uhhh..does anyone else see that? Or am I finally losing it?"

"Where?" Ruby's brother looks around.

Cree and Twiz looked as well and Cree forwned, "Hmm, you know I'd almost say that looks like...".
"DAD!" Twiz flapped up and yelled so loud, Cree flinched a bit at the volume. The little flyer darted over so quickly that before Trip could even process it himself his long lost son had collided with him and knocked him full to land on an opposite cliff face.
"Wha-Twiz?!" Trip held his son out in front of him in shock, "how, how ever did you..." he laughed a shocked and happy little broken laugh.
The chaos hadn't done much for the spike-backed clubtails though and the leader bellowed, swinging his tail even more firecely as he tried to sort out what the odd shapes in the distance were doing.
Screech knew not to make any sudden movements without Dein, Terri or even his warden flyers' say so, but he frowned and hissed, "I almost want to attack him just for being so annoying!" he said about the clubtail.

"That's your father Twiz?" Chomper asked surprised.

Terri gave a warning growl to Screech.
"No matter how annoying...you stay put and don't move.." she said with authority in her voice.

Screech hunkered down annoyed, yet stayed put.
"Yeah" Twiz laughed, flapping back over. "I know, he's a normal flattoothed flyer, but that's why the others of my herd kicked him out".
"Well...that's the simple explanation anyway" Trip, who could of course understand Sharptooth since even the other kinds of flyers spoke the same kind of sharptooth as all the others, said.
"Speaking of which where is your mother and the herd?" Trip next asked his son. "Well...I kinda struck out on my own looking for you...but it's ok, Mr. Cree and Pterano have been watching out for me" he indicated the others.
It was only now that Trip noticed them too. "Oh yeah, you two" he smiled, "my sister Viloet paired up with your youngest brother. Well" he laughed a bit, "if you've been keeping Twiz out of trouble then I thank you".
"Eh, bit of treesweet" Cree shrugged, "taking down Redclaw was our main goal".
Trip just stared in shock and then noticed the downed sharptooth, "Oh...my".
"I helped!" Twiz said.
"Yes, but our parents didn't let us do anything too dangerous that was too close to danger" Ruby added, not wanting to worry the other adult.

"It does look like they know each other." Ruby's little brother said as he watched the goings on between the 2 flyers.

"And we managed to defeat Redclaw," Chomper said in leafeater.

Trip just shook his head stunned as the little sharptooth said they defeated Redclaw, "Well I'd have never thought...".
A bellow soon reminded him of the spike-backed clubtail and he turned,"Oh, right...uh hey sir, it's cool, they're friendly sharpteeth, trust me I've learned how to spot 'em" he called.
The spike-backed clubtail lowered his tail yet snorted in disbelief, not looking willing to trot over.
"Are those friends of yours, dad?" Twiz asked. "Uh...you might say that" Trip turned a bit embarrassed, "I'm um...watching out for them for a bit".
He then remember something in that the little biter had spoken flattooth, sometimes Trip didn't pay attention.
"Oh, and you can say stuff in whatever's easiest for you" the flyer told the kid in sharptooth, "you don't spend as long as I did around sharptoothed flyers and not pick up on it" he grinned.

Pterano grinned as he heard Trip speak in sharptooth and then clapped.
"I must say Trip, I'm impressed. To learn sharptooth is not an easy thing to do...even when you live with them it can be rather hard to understand their words."
Terri smiled almost as a reflex to knowing that Redclaw was no longer a threat to the Mysterious Beyond. "I am indeed very glad we were able to bring some sort of peace to the Mysterious Beyond."

"And maybe our lives get finally get back to normal," Myra sighed relieved.

Pterano grinned for a moment before laughing lightly at Myra's statement as he said, "Please dear child, as long as you live out here...life is never 'normal'."

"Good point," laughed Chomper.

"Yeah, but it's kinda cool for all it's adventure" Cree admitted.
Trip grinned at Pterano's compliment, "Ah, no biggie really, I don't know if I've truly got it" he admitted, "I mean I've confused a few fast biters before...".
He glanced down at Screech and Thud, "So how'd you get the lackeys to cooperate?" he asked.
Cree grinned, "They actually make pretty smart choices when life and death's on the line".

"Things may be better now." Ruby' little brother said.
"Indeed, they may, but only time will tell. This may be the start of something better indeed." Ruby's father said.

"And it's just the beginning of our lives," Chomper smiled.

"Yes, now we can have fun without worrying and not have to worry" Ruby smiled.
"I really hope they're not this annoying about it forever, or I'm gonna lost it!" Screech whispered over to Thud, who grimaced and nodded.

"We won't," Rory said, overhearing Screech and Thud.

"We should get back to our homes now," Chomper said.
"I agree," said Dil.

"yea, I guess." Ruby's brother said liking some of the new friends he had met.

Screech and Thud turned, a bit caught of guard at having been overheard and embarrassed. "Um...thanks" Thud said, feeling even weirder as he spoke nice to the little biter.
"Yes and it will be nice to be able to rest and not have to worry about worrying" Ruby said with a smile.

"Let's head back to our home," Chomper smiled to his parents.

"I guess the rest of us will be doing that also." Ruby's little brother said, a bit sorry at parting from the friends he had met that day, or spent some time with.

Terri smiled at the thought.
"Yes, home sounds wonderful right now. Come everyone, you're welcome to stay with us for the night if you don't have a place to stay."
Pterano looked to the his brother and the ret of their herd as he asked, "what do you all think?"

"Hmm..." Cree glanced back at their herd, "Well we could make due on our own, Trip of course included into that" he nodded to the other flyer, "but then the only place I know to head would be that cave again".
"It would be sheltered" Aqua pointed out.

"What do the 2 of you say?" Ruby's little brother asked his parents.
"It may be closer then one of our usual sleeping places." Ruby's father said.

Rita nodded at Chomper's parents' offer.
"Count us in," said Rory, Myra, and Greg.

Terri grinned and replied, "Then it's settled. Come along everyone, we'll be getting back to our nest very shortly."
Pterano smiled faintly as he flapped his wings and said aloud, "I do wonder what kind of reception we'll get once we'll get there?"

"Yeah, we're quite the eclectic troupe" Cree admitted, glancing back at both 'their herd' and the others as he also took flight.

Ruby's father nodded, "Yes, quite a unique mixed group indeed." He said looking over the various types that were in the group as they walked along.
