Like I've said, I plan on getting broadband in the near future.

And -- 1.5 GB AVI WHAT?! I wouldn't have the things on my hard drive, taking up that much space.

I mean I'm not going to download a 1.5 GB AVI (or any type) file without a better internet connection, and even then, I'm not likely to keep it on my hard drive.

My personal laptop I'm typing this post on has an 89.1 GB hard drive, plus an additional 80 GB on an external hard drive. However, I use the external one as a back-up to what I already have, not as a supplement. If all 9 of the episodes I downloaded were 1.5 GB, that would be 13.5 GB. I'd still have space to spare, but such as that would add up quickly, especially if I downloaded more episodes in the future.
