Silver Screen / The Angry Birds Movie

I thought this movie was very good, and I enjoyed the subliminal messages that made the film just as appealing to adults ;).

A bunch of twenty to thirty year-old men having laughing fits over an animated film?  Priceless !

I love birding, and yes I do feed them :yes.

Out here in the Southwest, I most commonly get Say's Phoebes, Mourning and Eurasian Collared Doves, House Finches, Western Kingbirds, Red-tailed Hawks, Anna's Hummingbirds, Turkey Vultures, and Golden Eagles.  I will sometimes spot a Peregrine Falcon in flight.

When I visit family in Michigan, European Starlings, a variety of finches, gulls, Red Cardinals, an occasional American Bald Eagle, doves and pigeons, Red-winged Blackbirds, Snowy Owls, and an occasional Great Horned Owl all come to the yard to either feast on seed or eye the songbirds as prey.

I did a lot of birding in my homestate of Virginia, too.  I think it's quite obvious by now that I, too, enjoy the company of our feathered friends :DD.

Oh, my!  Poor Littlefoot and Shorty :x  :spit.

I figured Cera would find that historical.  Great minds think alike, ya know...sick minds :p  :lol.

MIOSH

Cera could be my partner in crime, Ducky would be adopted as a little sister, and the deep philosophical conversations I would have with the Rainbowfaces...the stars definitely aligned with these roommates !

MH

Littlefoot is awesome and I would be happy listening to Mr. Thicknose's stories, and I actually like Me. Threehorn.  I'm assertive like Cera, so I'm sure I could handle him when he gets too carried away.

Cera goes about her daily morning ritual of deep breathing exercises.  Moments later, a flyer drops a "ride awakening" on her face :x.

I'm curious about that, too :p.

Looks like Ducky and Petrie were browsing www.fartnames.com again :angel.

Sierra bit the dust!  I hope Sculra's fate makes Game of Thrones look like child's play😈.

And that fastbiter...charbroiled fastbiter burgers, anyone😋? Lol.

Lastly, if there's anything I learned today, well make that two things:

1. You're never too old for fart humor.

2.  I should not drink coffee while reading a scene like that.  I'm lucky my smartphone is not fried😆!

I just noticed a new fanfic on FF.net written by someone whose human character has my first name.

FYI, I'm not IrmaAguaGirl on there, in case anybody was wondering :p.

I find it strange how scary movies usually unfaze me and working around blood and gore is no issue here...

...but put on ID Discovery and I've got the creeps after a couple of episodes .  I don't know if it's because they're true stories or what :sducky.

Sound Off! / Saddest song you ever heard?

"Concrete Angel" by Martina McBride.  Tell me this doesn't make you think of Judith Barsi.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtNYA4pAGjI

I've heard an urban legend that implies that song is indeed about Judith Barsi.  Not that urban legends are entirely reliable sources of information, but who knows besides McBride herself?

"Jar of Hearts" by Christina Perri is heartwrenching.  I know it's about her divorce from her addict ex-husband (she got sober after she left him), but I think any of us can say we know someone with a heart of stone who loves to tear others down.  I can't listen to this song unless I'm feeling really sad...otherwise, it'll make me that way.

"Save Our Last Goodbye" by Disturbed is about losing a loved one.  I've had a lot of friends lose loved ones within the last two weeks, which makes this track even more intense to listen to.

"Digging My Own Grave" by Five Finger Death Punch is also sad.  It's about having to live with the regret of making difficult decisions.  Since most of their music is aimed at the military audience, their focus is probably on how to readjust to civilian life, but they also make most of their songs written so that anybody can relate to them.

I went and saw this today, and I agree with what others have posted about the movie.  I, too, was worried about the CGI, but it was pulled off pretty well!

I thought Kaa was done pretty well, especially with the hypnotism element.
