[ALSO to the 3 above games, any time you can put in a code to spawn a tank that appears in the air first, is fantastic XD - and for San Andreas, my friend encountered the strangest glitch ever XD he blocked the exit zone with a tank for a mission, resulting in the cutscene not playing correctly, him falling through a wall... and getting a GIGANTIC trick bonus XD]

- Star Wars: Rogue Squadron series
- Super Mario 64
- Super Mario Bros.

-
well i don't think i can really name any that haven't already been listed previously.
-
These are from my opinion from games that are still not on the list.
1) Sonic Adventure (Great levels and good variety with different characters)
2) MegaMan X8 (This game got everything right from MegaMan X since the first three MegaMan X games. The difficulty can be frustrating though.)
3) Super Mario Galaxy (Awesome music and gameplay)
4) Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney / Justice for All / Trials & Tribulations (Hilarious courtroom shenanigans and quirky characters and epic moments make this trilogy an instant classic.)
5) MegaMan Battle Network 3 (The pinnacle of the Battle Network series. A handful of endgame secrets and a great storyline)
6) Okami (I loved this game. Great Japanese culture and legend references. The storyline is great as well.)
7) Metroid Prime (This game wowed everyone with its transition from 2D to 3D and into a first person perspective.)
8) Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Link's first DS adventure is pretty unique and creative with its puzzles and combats. Great use of the touch screen.)
9) Elite Beat Agents (A rythim game you can take everywhere that's addicting and fun. Warning, your touch screen may die if you put too much pressure into it XD)
-
Okay, since there are SO many that I like, I'm going to put in a few rules for my list.
First off, I'll narrow it down to one game per franchise. (Which means there WON'T be two Mario games, two Zelda, etc.) Also, when I put it back in, I'd be able to play it for hours upon hours. Finally, it shall be narrowed down to only 10. :)
So, here we go! :^.^:
(In NO particular order)
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Metroid Prime 3
Super Mario Galaxy
Megaman X
Donkey Kong 64
Banjo-Tooie
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Kirby Super Star
Pokemon Peral
Want me to put it in order? Good luck making me! :D
-
BANJO :o OMG HOW'D I FORGET THOSE XD
-
i like your way of doing this pokeplayer. My top ten, with only one game per franchise:
Zelda:Twilight Princess
Super Metroid
Super Mario galaxy
Resident Evil 4
Ikaruga
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Donkey Kong Country
Kirby's Adventure
Star Fox 64
Unreal Tournament 2004
None of them are in any particualr order
-
Oh, shoot, I forgot to add Sonic 3 & Knuckles. (you can do the two games separately, I guess)
-
Well Flathead, that's what I learned from ScrewAttack when they do their Top 10's. :) (You should see how they did their PS3 Exclusives list. :D)
-
i never knew they actually did it that way at screwattack, though i've only really seen a couple of the videos. I think i'll take a look into that PS3 one, as long as Sonic never made it into the top 10 :lol .
-
Stepmania (I've probably played this FREE game more than any other game I have paid for.)
Donkey Kong Country (2 especially)
Sonic Adventure
Turok 2 (Kind of buggy but I loved the concept/gameplay/soundtrack)
Unreal Tournament 2004
Banjo-Kazooie
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Mario Party 2 (I still say it's the best in the series)
Diddy Kong Racing (original, entertaining...though some of the characters were practically unplayable)
Super Mario 64
-
Mario Party 2 (I still say it's the best in the series)
It's mine, too. :) I've played Mario Party 1, 2, 3, and 7, and out of them all, 2 would still have to be my favorite. They removed the annoying control stick turning blister-inducing thing, set up an interesting theme setup, and the minigames are from a good crop. Mario Party 3 reminded me too much of Paper Mario.
-
Diddy Racing was an addicting game, but I don't recall what the plot was...was there even a plot to the game?
The Legend of Spyro trilogy is up there for me. it has a great storyline, and top notch voice talent.
Mario 64 and Star fox 64 are among my favorites. I hope they have another Star Fox console game soon..

The bias fangirl in me wants to say that all the Silent Hill games should be on there. But the logical one in me says that there should just be at least one. I say "Silent Hill 2" deserves a spot up there for it's amazing psychological horror elements and unparalleled story). Plus, it's a great alternative to Resident Evil, since it's more thought-based than action based.
Also, Psychonauts should be up there. I've yet to see a fun, creative, and intelligent game done in that style before. Play it and I'm sure you'll be similarily amazed.
Quick note: Metal Gear Solid isn't a FPS, it's a stealth game...but could also be considered a Third-person shooter, sorta. But it's more stealth than anything else.
-
Among my favorates are, Day of the Tentacle, Might and Magic 8, Kotor 1, and 2 (though it was unfinished in spots), Age of Mythology.
-

I forgot to add in Shinning Force 1.
well never heard of that one, but it sounds good! :DD
-
It's an rpg/tactics game that came out originally for the sega genesis, likely words you've never heard of. Though later there was a gba version made with slightly better graphics. I've not played the gba version much, just seen some screen shots. They added in some sort of card system I heard, but not having played it have no idea how it works.
-
Well, since the last time I did my list, Mass Effect for XBox 360, Super Smash Bros.: Brawl and Mario Kart Wii have become nice competitors to taking over in my list.
I may have to redo my list soon. :)
-
The X-wing series for PC. Amazing! Also Super Mario 64, Smash Bros Melee., Halo, and Rogue Squadron II.
-
World of Warcraft B)
-
I've only ever played Playstation titles. My favorites are the Legend of Spyro series, the original Spyro games, not counting Enter the Dragonfly and Hero's Tail. I also like both Kingdom Hearts I and II. I like most of the original Crash games as well as the new Crash of the Titans game.
-
LOVE Spyro games! (nice name :D)

(Thanks?) Oh, I also forgot to list Sonic the Hedgehog games.
-
I loved to play the prince of persia trylogie. :yes Matrix: The Path of Neo is also an awesome game. Oh, and don¥t forget Jak and Daxter :D
-
Matrix: The Path of Neo is also an awesome game.
Maybe I'll rent it sometime then, I loved the Matrix movies. Jak and Daxter is okay, but I don't care much for games that involve shooting things.
-

Best game ever is not an easy title to get. That implies games that pound for pound were the highest enjoyment level of anything created. A little background is in my life I have owned Atari 2600, PC's, N64, Dreamcast, PS, PS2, Xbox, Wii, and 360. You'll see an extreme lack of consoles so the games on those were purely at friends houses though I did finish some.
We'll start early and get to recent. Keep in mind I can only declare it if I played it ALL the way through (or a LONG time if it has no end) and liked it. Then I'll narrow it down.
Combat (Atari)
Space Invaders (Atari)
Pole Position (Atari)
Super Mario Bros. (NES)
The Legend of Zelda (NES)
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Sega Genesis)
Quest for Glory/Hero's Quest: So You Wanna Be a Hero? (PC)
Megaman (PC)
Megaman 3 (PC)
Star Trek (http://www.vavasour.ca/jeff/level1/entry6_preview.html) (PC)

Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (PC)
Starwars: Galaxies (PC)
Commander Keen (PC)
Rock Band 1/2 (360)

Quest for Glory/Hero's Quest: So You Wanna Be a Hero? (PC)
Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (PC)
Starwars: Galaxies (PC)
I guess we're have to do with a top three. I'll base that on overall impact they had to my life.
Number 3: Would be Morrowind (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morrowind).
I played that sucker and its mods for close to a year. I had a damn DREAM about killing Drow slavers as my Khajiit. I survived a lotta crap due to using that as an escape.
Number 2: Quest for Glory: So You Wanna Be a Hero (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quest_for_Glory_I:_So_You_Want_To_Be_A_Hero).
This little EGA game helped survive visitation with my stupid father. I often caught myself doodling images of it in class elementary/middle school.
Number 1 (Best Game Ever): Star Wars: Galaxies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_Galaxies)
I can HEAR you groaning. Stop it. I was with this beast since launch and pound for pound I got more out of it than anything else I've ever played. I even survived the "Combat Upgrade" till the "NGE" dumbed the game to a mindless level based faux-fps failure that has all bunch closed down. In the nearly three years I played it I gained friends, escape from stress, even business contacts via the game. It was a truly unique videogame where level was non-existant, insane levels of character customization, non-combat classes that you could literally play through the whole game as, the ability to place your house almost anywhere, and even kept the uber class of jedi rare. It earned it's spot here.

I heard from someone that that is a great game! I have wanted to try it for so long. I had everything worked out. I wanted to be a medic Zabrak, since I ALWAYS am the healer in the group and Zabrak's seem to have a lot of willpower to heal a lot. Honestly, I enjoy protected my comrades more than killing my enemies. I'm not the best fighter so this suits me better anyway. Is that game still up? I'd still like to try it sometime. The thought of having my own hospital to treat the wounded would be awesome! I wouldn't even charge anyone if I could. Lack of money doen't make you unworthy for treatment. I only attack other players in self defense and I either die or let them go if they give up. Some people think I'm too nice for MMORPGs but I still they're really fun, regardless. But it's great to know someone here likes it too! What race and profession did you choose, and did you try to become a Jedi? If I played, I would still divert all my attention to healing and let the real fighters be the Jedi's. Jedi's are the best fighters there, right? If that's the case, I wouldn't even try it since I don't fight much anyway. Unless if I open my hosptal I could use a light saber as a surgery tool. (Just a joke.) But other than Ever Quest III, Star Wars Galaxies is the next MMORPG I want to look into. Do you have a healer in your party, or is your team so powerful now that you don't need one? That's the thing. There are so many powerful teams that don't need to don't bother with my weak kind. Are healers fairly popular in SWG? If so, I'll have to look into it sooner. Later!
