I have a special extended edition of Disney's Dinosuar. It really does contain some interesting stuff, but they could have done much better. For example there are quite a few scenes which suggest that there were totally alternative versions of the plot (some involving a brother of Aladar, others his grandparents and others a mysterous character called Gantamo or something like that). I would have loved to know about these alternative story ideas.

Hi!
Yes, the special edition does have two DvDs, one of which is exclusively for making off films, outcut scenes and the like. As I said it was interesting,  but a little too "unconnected". I would have loved to know the storylines behind the other outcut scenes on the bonus material DvD.

I wish I had that one. But I know it going to be hard to get one now in the UK

Try ebay or Amazon. It should be very easy to get the special edition there.

I always feel so wasteful buying more than one copy of a film I already own, even if there is stuff that wasn't there before. Oh well. Such is the life of a consumer.  :lol

So what if you own two copies of a dvd if one has something you really enjoy? :p  I have two copies of Watership Down - the Warner Brothers release in the U.S (which has nothing but the film) and the Blue Sky, Australia release that has the directors cut where it is explained how the film was made. :)

If LBT would do that, I'd have two copies of LBT too.  I don't feel wasteful because that second one with the directors cut is practically a different "film". ;)

I mean the prirate copies. they not as good as the real thing because you don't get all the little stuff that good to watch. I always like the real ones not always those blasted prirate copies.

I don't watch pirated copies, nor do buy them. You put people's jobs on theline when you do that.

I've bought pirated copies without knowing they were so. :p  They still played just fine, so I didn't make a big fuss about it.

Hopefully for the 20th anniversary they might do an interview with some of the voice actors, and maybe a tribute for Judith Barsi, who was murdered the same year the original movie was released. :cry

1. despite the fact that they threw away the lost footage, they should at least bring back one of the artists and redo the storyboards of the lost scenes, and have a brief explanation of what they were about.

2. Despite Donn Bluth's disappointments about the project, he should at least have a few good words to say, as well as the original voices (who are still alive)

3. And yes.. a tribute to Judith Barsi... may she rest in peace  -_-

All good things to hope for those are, but, if it is made, it will most likely be a repeat of the "15th Anniversary Edition." -_-
