Adding music to RPs

I will be going adding some links to public domain and other acceptable music files for the RP games I have here. Note that none of it is a link for an illegal download; most of it is some form of classical music, or a sound file that was already released into the public domain. Since I cannot embed music, it has to be linked to in the RP. I'll make it fit as well as I can.

Here is a sample. For those of you familiar with the fantasy RP, imagine that this is under Asthia's tower, where Rhiga was being held, in that horrible chamber.

Setting the rp to music is a good idea. Not sure if I had anty music in mind for my rp, but if you think a certain piece fits, by all means use it..

Hrm...I don't know what music would be suitiable for the "In the Land Before Time" rp. Sure, the LBT songs and music of course, but maybe everyone can have their own themes in the rp.

You know, since this site already links us to Land Before Time music, you can just use some of those links in your LBT RPs.

Just hope you're okay with watermarks in the background. Me, I thought the female voice chanting the URL in the background added an extra layer to the songs' rhythm.

well maybe you can set up a thread and will discuss it as for the characters themes, if its the GOF member themes then its best to let the members decide that themselves here's my theme: Streets Of Siam by Stan Bush.

I could set up a poll if everyone feels we need one.

I also agree that adding music would certainly add an element of 'uniqueness' to our RP's.

We used to have music on a stereo back in my old tabletop days...

Someone would break out the Mozart, and for some reason... it actually worked rather well. But I still fondly remember Pachelbels Canon in D Major as the best for setting a solemn scene.

But then someone (not me) would sneak around and stick some death metal into the CD player. Hilarity (and fighting) ensues!

The poll would be to see how many of us here actually want to have an 'add music thread' to the RP discussions and depending on how well recieved it is we may or may not create a thread.
