Ok, we all know what Sharpteeth eat.  Chomper might eat bugs, but his parents, unless they too are eating mammals, hoppers, fish, and bugs, likely, er, don't.

They said they had dinner for Chomper.  Though unpleasant to think about, is it possible that the Gang of Five weren't (though maybe they are now  :cry  :cry ) the only Leaf Eaters on that island after all?  (We can assume that there isn't a big herd of Leaf Eaters there or else Chomper's parents would be much happier and less hungry.)

What about the option of large fish? This alone would be a factor that seems to make the region interesting for sharpteeth since it doesn't seem to be all too popular for leafeaters (from how they react to the big water and LBT 9 also suggests this). Any chance perhaps that the topography of the island's shore (of which we only saw steep cliffs that may not compose the shore all around the island) in combination with the tides may offer good conditions for fishing in shallow waters?

When his parents noticed the smell of leafeaters, Chomper said he had baby longnecks for lunch. Since they didn't question Chomper's answer, it means they found it plausible that Chomper ate longnecks, which means there must be longnecks on the island. We can safely assume that Chomper's parents would have good knowledge of the whereabouts of the entire island, since they would have to explore far and wide to find enough food.

No Sharptooth calls hunting grounds without any food (--->leafeaters) his home. It's pretty self-explanatory ;)
Inactive, probably forever.

Well, at least three large sharpteeth lived there, including those flyers, I would assume there's lots of leaf-eaters around somewhere. For all we know, there could have been new ones coming there since the leaf-gobblers attacked the lands. Which is probably why the land-bridge became so unreliable later on
