General Land Before Time / what dinos would you have wanted to see ?
« on: December 20, 2008, 05:01:39 PM »
The only dinosaur type that I look forward to seeing is the edaphosaurus. That is the only dinosaur kind that I like that hasn't already appeared on The Land Before Time. I became a fan of them when watching another series about dinosaurs: Dink, the Little Dinosaur. My favorite character, Shyler, is an edaphosaurus and I became quite fond of them after watching that show. Now if they'll put 'em in The Land Before Time, that show will have my complete collection of dinosaurs that I'm fond of.

The only thing that worries me, is that there might be some of those dinosaurs here already and I just didn't recognize them because different companies draw things quite differently. How utterly embarrasing if that were to be the case.

General Land Before Time / What do you DISLIKE the most about TLBT?
« on: December 20, 2008, 04:45:00 PM »
While there are a few things I would classify as uneccessary or needs improvement, there is one thing I can boldly say that I do not like whatsoever. Littlefoot's build up of trust that grows over ten movies then is completely uprooted in the next movie. From I-X Littlefoot had become known for his pure character. Not saying he was perfect, but you had every reason to believe what he said. Provided he would keep things from the grownups, but he wouldn't say something unless there was truth in it. Now all kids have trouble with relating things exactly and some do lie to others, but Littlefoot never really lied. Things like "I'm okay" when he really wasn't doesn't count; everyone says that sometimes; that kind of statement is irrelavent. So ten movies fly by and Littlefoot's on a role. Then XI came out and the theme was for Littlefoot to lie to the whole valley to get out of trouble to learn a lesson. This's just like Search for the Sky Color Stones! A main character is taken completely out of character to add to the story. Littlefoot can and has learned from his friends mistakes on several occasions. If they wanted a deceiver, pick someone experienced like Petrie (VII) or Cera (a lot). Any huge Ducky fans who watched the episode I mentioned knows how I feel. The creators misused characters to make it easier to write their story. But by changing characters, they really only made the plots more complicated. Stop altering
the gang's mindsets that have already been clearly established and I'll be happy.

General Land Before Time / Ever been teased?
« on: December 20, 2008, 04:10:06 PM »
This is going to sound different. I get made fun of for liking The Land Before Time all the time. But here is the weird part. My coworkers, friends, and even new step-grandfather respect my tastes. If I like something, they either say if they like it or not, but they don't make fun of me at all. The only people that do make fun of me, are my family. All three of my brothers make fun of me, along with both my parents. But this has only been a trial to prove my devotion. If I didn't like it that much, I would have grown tired of all these years being patronized and quit being a fan. But because I love it, their words don't phase me at all. Their missing out, and I am having a blast. I actually feel sorry for them at times. They hate what they don't understand. I wish they'd give up on trying to make me hate it, because since I won't, they're just wasting their time. When you don't like something, you say so. Understandable. But please watch out for my family. Not a week goes by that they don't make clear how "stupid" it is. But every blow that doesn't strike me down makes me stronger. Bring it on.

General Land Before Time / Which character would you like chomper
« on: December 20, 2008, 03:42:35 PM »
I am probably the only one at the moment that honestly wants to Chomper to kill a character. Being an English major, I learned that words have many different meanings that can be used to one's advantage, besides the ones the writer originally hoped for the reader to use. And since I always keep a dictionary handy, I can answer the question of this topic just the way it was asked, only in a different perspective. Kill can also mean "to end" and character can also mean "personal quality". So that is how I will accept those words because I don't believe any living creature on The Land Before Time should die; killing breeds more killing. Therefore, if you take revenge using the eye for an eye proverb, things can only get worse. So this is the "character" that Chomper should "kill." The only negative quality of Chomper (everyone has at least one) is that he tries so hard to please his friends that he is prone to be taken advantage of. I got that from The Land Before Time Wiki because I had never noticed a fault of his before. Sorry about dancing around the question a bit, but I wanted there to be at least one serious response that can avoid bloodshed. I know you're all joking about actually killing because you have no choice; the question wants to know who dies, period. Interesting topic though. Original, to the point, and makes you really think. In fact, I especially liked this topic becuase of its restrictions. I just love finding loopholes.

General Land Before Time / which character like to have met each other?
« on: December 20, 2008, 02:39:21 PM »
I always enjoy it when two characters with the same type of personality meet. Then we can see who has the stronger will, or bigger heart, depending on the pairing. Off hand, I can only think of two good matches. Cera meeting Myra from Sharptooth Valley, and Littlefoot meeting Rita from Sharptooth Valley. Of course, Chomper would have a lot of explaining to do on both ends. "Please don't eat them when they show up. They're buddies of mine." "Don't worry guys. I told everyone we know each other so relax." Still, Chomper would have to give Littlefoot and the others the background story of befriending leaf eaters, but they'd understand- except maybe Cera. But who knows? Maybe since Cera and Myra are compatible, they might actually get along. Hmmm. Cera getting along with someone... Ya know, nevermind that part. But things would definately get interesting.

General Land Before Time / i need to get this off my chest
« on: December 20, 2008, 11:58:34 AM »
Since everyone thinks a bit differently, this could be risky since your mindset could greatly differ from what I have in mind, but I'll try to give my best opinion based on someone else that has the same feelings, which are not wrong in any way. If this guy and you are similar, than what I have to say should involve you as well. This is my analysis, not official textbook information, so I can't prove this. But this advice seemed right before, so I'll tell you too. There are two ways for an attraction to start. There is the quick way: outer attraction, which has a smaller success rate of being something more in reality. This simply involves taking one glance at someone, and being physically drawn to their appearance, which, if you are like the other person who was drawn to non human animation, this method seems very unlikely. In order for this to be the case, you would have had to immediately fall for her after seeing her just once, without actually seeing how she acts in any way, which might give off things like increased heart rate, warm sensation in the facial tissue, increased perspiration, and the like. While that is slightly possible, I prefer to lean toward the option that is much more likely: the slow way it starts: inner attatraction, which has a high success rate of ending up serious in real life. This involves getting to know what someone is like. How they think and act. If they are optimistic or a little more negative. How they treat others and listen to those around them. How they value friends and if they can be trusted. These things take time. Now this kind of attraction doesn't automatically mean you think they're ugly, just not flashy enough to reel you in just from looking. I believe you are drawn to her personality. And after that happens, just looking at her picture will subconsciously remind you of her personality and activate that warm feeling inside you, giving you the impression that it's her body you really like.

If Ducky didn't exist, you would probably have found another character with similar attributes. In Ducky's case, it would be things like innocence, optimism, loyalty, compassion, friendlyness, and the like. But this situation is actually a wonderful thing. It's not that human girls aren't right for you, it's just that you haven't yet found a the girl who matches your fine taste. But this is where the good part comes in: now finding the right girlfriend has just become easier. Since you like a character for what she symbolizes, you can now know what it is you prefer in a relationship, and therefore can look for girl who shares the qualites Ducky has. But be warned. Since Ducky was created through imagination, some of her qualities have been perfected, far more than what you'd usually find in human. So while I doubt you'll find a perfect match, knowing what to look for can lead to the closest thing possible. Consider this a blessing. You are probably curious how I came up for this theory for the other guy I had mentioned. Well, let's just say it's a great deal easier when you try to understand something through personal experience rather than observing some other individual first. So I can emphasize, not just sympathize with this kind of experience. Who was it for me? Hehe. I am very sorry StarfallRaptor. I hope the fact that we must fight for the same girl's affection won't come between us. Only time will tell who she likes more. I love you Cynder!

PS: But maybe we had better wait a bit. We need a plan to get Spyro out of the picture because he'll totally get in our way. Something about spewing infernos from his mouth makes me a bit uneasy. Any ideas?

General Land Before Time / Odd Facts of the LBT World
« on: December 20, 2008, 10:52:02 AM »
I also noticed in The Land Before Time III: The Time of the Great Giving, Littlefoot exclaimed how hungry he was, ate two leaves, and was satisfied. The satisfied part was proven when he stopped eating and said "That sure was good." I have never heard that expression from a child when he/she still wanted more food. I can maybe see Petrie or Ducky satisfied from that kind of meal, but I'm pretty sure that a dinosaur Littlefoot's size could eat more than a full grown human. Logically, stress from unfortunate incidents in one's invironment can lead to temporary eating disorders, things like being hungry then quickly being full. Which means, eather the creaters greatly underestimated the capactity of his stomach, didn't have the time ton show him eating a full meal, or it seems they are hiding stress related stomach abnormalities on a show aimed at children

The Party Room / The "Would You Rather" Game!
« on: December 19, 2008, 12:45:38 AM »
Easy question for me. I'd definately be one at Disney World than Six Flags which is simply because I have been to Disney World a lot and know it well, while I have never been to a Six Flags before.

Here is an interesting question I ask only because I can't decide myself. (My sneaky way of getting someone's opinion.)

If you were a sharptooth Chomper's age, would you rather live on insects or other dinosaurs?

Consider that dinosaurs must taste a lot better, but it would be much more difficult to make friends with leaf eaters if you ate their kind, considering that most flat teeth would reject the importance of the fact that sharpteeth balance the world by doing so.

General Land Before Time / Before leaving the island,
« on: December 19, 2008, 12:04:35 AM »
While it would be difficult for me to fathom some theories as to what Chomper might have done, I can definately point out what the movie proves he does, and based off the facts it provides, I can add some educated gueses which could very well explain some things. It is clear that Chomper spent a lot of time exploring the island and even naming the places, something he still needs to work on. But most interesting of all was the fact that he analyzed the importance of the places he finds. Remember when he hid his friends in the "Stinky Place?" He put them there because he understood that sharpteeth could not find them because of the strong odor of the plants there. While it is possible his parents simply told him about smells confusing sharpteeth, for the sake of making things intersting, I have some theories as to what personal experiences might have happened to make him realize that.
1. His parents were looking for him, and as children are playful, they like to hide from them at times, and perhaps Chomper- being a child- does just that by hiding in the 'Stinky Place" not even realizing what would happen, it was probably just a nearby place to duck into. When his excellent tracking parents walk right by without noticing him, he could probably piece together what happened.
2. Or maybe somthing simpler. He is hunting small prey, smelling it with his mouth watering, when it jumps into the "Stinky Place" and the scent vanishes. Another easy discovery.
3. But what if discovering this wasn't so easy? With an island full of exotic smells, he might've noticed his sniffer not working so well near them. Then he finds the "Stinky Place" and makes a realization, "If my sniffer has trouble with things that smell half as strong, it musty be impossible for sharpteeth to smell around here!" A little bit more thinking is involved on Chomper's part here, but he's a clever little guy.
As for friends, I highly doubt he had any. On that very small island, you'd think any friends would be hanging around. For the two days the gang is there, Chomper is not seen interacting with any one else his age, and it seems odd that he would ignore any old friends when new ones came. Chomper was dying for the others to meet his parents. Usually kids want friends to meet friends. I usually only see such an effort to introduce family when there is no one else around to introduce. Littlefoot says, "So, do you live here?" "Yep. Me and my mommy and daddy!" he answers. He doesn't mention anyone else. Think about it. If you lived with a friend and your parents, and somebody asks you about living where you are, why on earth would you mention your parents and say nothing about a friend? I highly doubt Chomper would have forgotten having any other friends. Call me crazy, but I don't think he wanted Littlefoot to stay because he's a friend that he can play with. I think Chomper wanted him to stay because he's Chomper's only friend, the only one to play with.

Quote
I figured he go hunting with his parents and maybe by himself.

I can give a confirmed response to that. It shows Chomper hunting by himself toward the beginning. He finds the gang because he was hunting them. It wasn't originally a friendly visit. He chased them with a death glare that only went away when he recognized them. This also proves that had gone hunting with his parents in the past because they must've taught him what do. He didn't have a death glare until he left with his parents.

As for life in general, young children need friends to play with, and Chomper had had a taste of true friends as a baby which turns out that he did not forget about. Therefore his life was as lonely as possible. If he had never had friends, he wouldn't feel as bad since he wouldn't know what he was missing. But after taking one bite of candy, even if you can't get any for a long time, you never forget the pleasaure it brought you, and therefore you suffer, because you know how good something is, but are only being able to enjoy it in your dreams. And I'm not saying Littlefoot ruined his life in any way. You know what they say, "Tis better to have experienced true friendship and lost it, than to never have had a friend at all." Okay, that's not how it goes, but I had to make it fit. Chomper was lonely, but I believe knowing what is out there and longing for it beats being oblivious to the worlds pleasures any day.

General Land Before Time / Activities in the Great Valley
« on: December 18, 2008, 12:19:21 AM »
Well I assume the adults do what most humans do, besides the going-to-work thing. They keep an eye on their kids, not constantly, but they do check on them. They try to stay in hearing range of their kids so when they call for help, they can be there quickly. Take the first dramatic scene from The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Advenure for example. When the gang of five was in trouble and yelled, every single one of their families heard and came running. They hold meetings occasionally to discuss matters of importance. They even keep the valley clean after things like storms. As for pleasure, I never see them playing around; I suppose watching kids at times and chatting is just as enjoyable for them. They try to keep a lookout for any unusual activities. They enjoy walks with there familes, considering I see Topsy walking with Tria frequently. They try to give advice and be examples of it. All and all, I'd have to say the aults are content but probably don't lead exciting lives anymore, except for a few times like trying to fix the thundering falls (III), looking for a temporary home (V), visiting far off places- adultwise, just the grandparents- (X), and fighting off invaders (II). While they seem happy, I can say that in The Great Valley I would be a little bored as a parent and even worse off as an adult with no family that is either too old to court or simply doesn't want to. One last thing is that Littlefoot's grandparents have no choice but to eat most of day. Think of how many thousands of little leaves it would take to fill a stomach the size of car!

General Land Before Time / What type of villian do you want to see
« on: December 17, 2008, 11:50:11 PM »
(Sigh) If I had waited ten more minutes I would have known that I didn't need to write my post at all. I don't usually speak for others, but brakclub85 had made such a good point a while back that I just wanting to make sure his idea, which I love, was expressed. You never know if someone falls in a coma or something and can't post. Well I'm sorry for stealing his spotlight. He just had such a good point I got hasty. I'll try to stick with my own ideas now. Still, ya gotta admit that out of the many members and topics, writng about someone then having the same person show up at the same topic at about the same time and writing right after you do, well, winning the lottery seems equally likely.

General Land Before Time / What type of villian do you want to see
« on: December 17, 2008, 11:22:57 PM »
What if there was a villian who was a good guy, had good intentions, and cared for his herd? Not very villiany yet, eh? I'm just getting started. A villian can have the best intentions, yet his methods to achieve his goals can be so tyrannical, cruel, and down right evil, that his actions outway his intentions enough to be considered villianous. A perfect example of doing the right thing in the wrong way. No matter your intentions, it is no excuse for doing terrible things. Then even those who he is trying to help, while his intentions may be valued, will despise him. How can you look up to someone who acts like a criminal? If someone wants to better things, yet steals, kills, and destroys, he isn't really bettering things, is he?  Everyone is judged by what they do, not what they think. So if they do what's wrong, then they will be perceived as such. No matter how much you stand for what you believe, whether it's right or not, if you decide to abandon all the rules to get it, then you might get what you want but will certainly lose yourself in he process. So there should be someone who is a villian in every aspect of the word, except where his heart is. Pretty creative, yet actually possible. I like it.

Now while I can take credit for writing this and expressing the idea in such a way, I can take no credit for the idea itself. It is actually an idea I heard from brekclub85. I hadn't seen him in this thread yet and I was afraid that he might not show up. And since his idea is related to this topic completely, I just wanted to make sure it got posted at all, whether I did it or not. But I still made it very clear that I take no credit, for I didn't think of this at all. When I share others' ideas, I always give the proper credit. I don't think I said it nearly as well as brekclub85 could have, being as it's his thought, but this is the best explanation I could write. Sorry if it isn't dead on.

General Land Before Time / Honesty
« on: December 17, 2008, 07:51:08 AM »
The only way I would vote "no" on this thread was if I was half asleep from my insomnia medication and hit the wrong button, which means that I voted "yes". I take a very different approach to this topic. The Land Before Time has been my favorite thing since I saw the first movie when I was five. I absolutely fell in love with the whole franchise. Let me say this. No one that I have ever gotten to know has ever asked me if I liked it, and I assure you that no one ever will. The reason being, is that I am so infatuated with it, that when I try to meet someone, I make it very clear from the start that I love everythng about it. In fact, I normally ask everyone I meet if they like it, and then make it clear why I love it. I got a job at a hardware store a year ago, and every employee who talks to me knows how much I'm obsessed with it. I even told one of the managers there that I got to know how much I love it and he respected that; I had nothing to feel nervous about. Yes, I know it is very painful when someone thinks it's stupid and doesn't give it chance. I get very sad, but only because I feel so sorry for the person who is completely missing out on the adventures of a lifetime. That show gave me peace growing up. It was so hard to make friends, but it was so easy to put in a VHS and imagine that I'm a part of  the greatest examples of friendship, loyalty, and growing up.

What I am about to say, I only say for myself. I'm not giving advice to or judging others in any way, I am merely saying how I personally feel about and handle these types of situations. I am sharing my resolve so my character on the subject will be made clear. My methods are not any better than anyone else's. Different things work for different people.  I have the utmost respect for how everyone else handles these things, and I hope the feeling is mutual.

I am never ashamed of liking a good thing. If I liked killing cats, no matter how much I liked it, I wouldn't go telling people, because then they'd have an actual reason to patronize me, because no matter how you look at it, killing is morally wrong. But if I like something that I know is upright and pure, what could anyone possibly say to make me feel bad about? Their words can't change the fact that what I like is really a good thing. All they can really say is why they don't prefer it themselves. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If someone says "The Land Before Time is stupid" then that is their opinion which I respect. But since I know that it isn't foolish in any way, what have I to be frustrated or embarrased about? I see the light everyday while some just can't or simply choose not to. I can hope that they come around and give this a chance, but whether my friends like something or hate it, it doesn't mean I can't still love it to the fullest for them to see. If someone's negative words bother me, it only means that I actually consider what they are saying, and I am not as devoted as I thought.

Because of this, I am not afraid to spread the good news of what I believe. Because of this, I will not be discouraged at the rejection that will surely come. Because of this, I will not be give up, since I know what is really right. And because I'm still breathing, I will let the world know that I love The Land Before Time.

General Land Before Time / which character would you ?
« on: December 17, 2008, 05:47:58 AM »
This may sound odd, cosidering that I'm a male and all, but my personality matches Ali's the closest. Growing up, I never did much with those I felt were different than me. Now don't think I was conceited. What I meant was, since I was always a little abnormal, I tried to stick with my own kind, those that thought in a similar way. Ali was the same way as a child. And although this story would fit perfectly if a said something like, "But I met someone like me and he made me realize that it's good to have all kinds of friends," I said we were similar, not I am her other worldy double. Ah well. My version is much more simple and actually typical and boring. I simply didn't want to be classified as a type anymore and started socializing with different types of people.
If you'll think back to Ali from The Brave Longneck Scheme, I still have a connection. Now I move a lot like Ali, meeting new people. Now we can see in that episode, that Ali makes a new friend, Rhett, and tries to please him by doing pretty much whatever he said. I am the same way. Not was, am. To this day, when I meet someone, I try to be a "good friend" and try to make him or her happy, completely neglected my own well being, just like Ali did. Now I'm not saying that everyone I meet takes advantage of me, but most people I meet want things a certain way, and I simply aim to please.

Now, if I could meet any character from any story about The Land Before Time, I would definately like to get to know my all time favorite character, which is definately Rita the longneck from Sharptooth Valley. Her personality is very similar to Littlefoot's: oversized heart, caring for friends absolutely, very motherly as proven with Chomper in the sense that Littlefoot was fatherly to him. She apparently is difficult to anger and she is very trusting. She leads the group at times and has yet to be mean to anyone. The main difference is that since Littlefoot is a boy, he approaches life in a masculine way, while Rita is definately feminine; to call her a tomboy would be as inaccurate as statements go. So that's it. I have always liked Littlefoots pure personality and I have always liked girls. Now I can have both wrapped up in one.

Now if this thread was specifically limited to characters from the films and/or episodes, my apologies, I wasn't sure so I just answered with complete honesty. But if an "on screen" character is what this is about, then my second choice is Chomper. He would make the perfect little brother, or perhaps "mud brother." He has the ability to make those around him laugh with out actually trying. (One random example would be from The Meadow of Jumping Waters when everyone said a cloud looked like he was eating sweet bubbles. Everyone knew he doesn't eat them, but he announces that so matter of factly as if nobody knew, that every thought it was funny and burst into laughter.) He is a bit immature, so we would actually get along perfectly, hehe. Chomper is innocent, friendly, and yet will stand up for what he believes in. That's why it'd be great to meet someone like him.

General Land Before Time / Signs of the Gang Growing Up
« on: December 17, 2008, 04:21:41 AM »
Quote
if they in fact grow up from one movie to the next, they do very slowly.
all of them constantly gain experience from every adventure.

I couldn't agree more Shinji-Lee. Everyone else had excellent points as well. I believe that they are definately maturing, as time goes on. A few things I've noticed point toward that notion very strongly. Here's three examples off the top of my head:

Ducky- In The Land Before Time VIII: The Big Freeze, Spike's, well, ways of doing things began to get on Ducky's nerves, which is typical for all siblings eventually. She ended up losing her temper and in the process made Spike feel unwanted. I'm stopping there because I'm proving a point, not summarizing a plot. Then, in the very next movie, The Land Before Time IX: Journey to Big Water, Spike wasn't being careful and knocks her off his back into the mud. Spike looks worried because he remembers from previously that those kind of things annoy his sister. But Ducky has matured because she doesn't get angry and even laughs to show that she really didn't mind.

Cera- In The Land Before Time, Cera has a serious problem admitting whenever she is afraid of something. I mean, she nearly gets a heart attack from seeing a sharptooth then tells the others how brave she was about it. However, in The Land Before Time V: The Mysterious Island, it shows that she has begun to look past her pride and admit that things do scare her, during the song "Always There."

Littlefoot- In The Land Before Time XI: Invasion of the Tinysauruses, he does what most kids do when caught doing something wrong: he lied to get out of trouble. Provided he does make things right in the end, but he caused a lot of trouble. But he's learning. In The Hidden Canyon, when Littlefoot and his friends (excluding Chomper) make a mistake by eating too many sweets and allowing sharpteeth in, lying doesn't even cross Littlefoot's mind. In fact, he decides to tell the grown ups what happened right away. If that isn't maturing, well, I'd really like to hear what is.

As you can see, although they are small steps, they are definately being made by the gang more and more as time passes. And whether they realize it or not, they are preparing themselves for a successful future in the process.

General Land Before Time / Odd Facts of the LBT World
« on: December 17, 2008, 03:31:22 AM »
Ah, I remember the first Land Before abnormality I ever noticed, and it might possibly be the very first one. You guys remember how odd it was how fast Spike grew up in like, I dunno, around fifteen seconds? I mean, Ducky gets flung about thirty feet away from the others, then finds an egg that is barely larger than she is. Inside we find the quiet, baby spiketail, who manages to increase in size by at least five times- in less than a day? He ends up being about Cera's size from recently hatching and the other four either didn't notice or they just didn't find that unusual. Well I did. I understand that Spike's size was for the flow of the movie. I mean, if they hadn't all stood on the now big Spike, they probably wouldn't have reached the leaves on top of that tree. And it would have been awkward for Ducky to ride on someone the same size as her. And Spike wouldn't have been able to help push that bolder on that sharptooth if he was still a little guy. So I his size was important, but that unproportionate growth was, well, a bit out of the ordinary. Since Spike was best at his final size, it might have been more realistic if perhaps Ducky had found him sleeping in the middle of nowhere quite some time after he was born. Then this oddity could have been prevented. But hey, if all Land Before Time films and episodes were perfect, there wouldn't be as much to talk about, would there?

General Land Before Time / Most Dramatic LBT Moments
« on: December 17, 2008, 01:32:01 AM »
I agree with all of you. All of those scenes were very serious and emotional, no doubt. Some of my choices you've already mentioned, but I'll add what I can. The most dramatic moments I can think of off the top of my head that haven't been specifically mentioned are:

1. Littlefoot's mother dying in front of his eyes and him having to leave her and go on his own. No child should go through that. (The Land Before Time)

2. Littlefoot's friends don't want him to leave them and live with his father, but because they care so much, they only want him to be happy, so although they don't specifically tell him to go, they make it clear that they will be fine with whatever he chooses, which takes place during the song "Bestest Friends." (The Land Before Time X: The Great Longneck Migration)

3. The look on Chomper's face when, because he feels alone and wants friends near him, he asks his friends to stay at his home, but the others know that they must be with their families, and therefore turn him down. While I know the others did the right thing, I felt so bad for Chomper I wanted to cry. He had had a taste of happiness, then it was taken away so quickly. (The Land Before Time V: The Mysterious Island)

4. When Ruby sees another family playing together and gets really homesick. She remembers all the good time she had with them and the song "Remembering" really adds to the sad feeling of her missing her family. She needed her friends the most right then, but they wouldn't play with her. They were preparing a surprise for her, but just being with her was the best thing they could have done. (The Star Day Celebration)

5. When Chomper nearly drowns and it takes several of the others to help him since he was tied up and couldn't move. He must have been terrified. He was underwater for so long that I was afraid he had inhaled in a bunch of water and when he surfaced he wouldn't be able to breathe. He ended up alright, but it was so close. (The Missing Fast Water Adventure)

Those are the five most dramatic scenes that I can think of on the spot. I hope that that was a little helpful.
