Title: Maps of Prehistoric Earth
Post by: MurMur on June 02, 2013, 04:00:07 AM
Here (http://scotese.com/earth.htm) you can find some beautiful maps of Prehistoric Earth.
Even more maps can be found here (http://cpgeosystems.com/mollglobe.html), here (http://cpgeosystems.com/globehighres.html) and here (http://cpgeosystems.com/rect_globe.html).
Sadly, there are no maps showing the earlier supercontinents such as Kenorland, Columbia, etc, so you have to search somewhere else to get them. :)

Nice finds. I prefer the first link, because it has labels and my geography is terrible  :p It's always been interesting to see the earth as we know it forming.

Nice cool and nice find as well. I really love looking at this stuff since I love learning about the planets and other parts of the solar system.

That first link, I came across it years ago on a Google search to satisfy my curiosity regarding continental drift.

That site brings back memories of when I tried to trace those maps onto paper, and even once tried on Civilization III's map editor to make replicas of those maps. (I only managed to make one before moving on to other things.)
