Welcome to the forum.  There are many types of rp going on.  A silly one, one where the characters wield god like magic powers, and some other types.  

I'm sure you'll make many friends on here, have fun and good luck.  I'll stay out of the chess game, to stupid for that, but I'm sure many here would enjoy playing internet chess with you.
