It really did hit home for me, sums up what my life was like during highschool. Uni is so much better.

Anybody out there?

I can't be the only least slightly annoyed by this..

I was watching Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin (amazing anime by the way) and my brother comes and comments "why you watching baby stuff?"

Baby stuff? So Characters getting gored, heads cut off, swearing is for babies now?

It seems to me some people have the idea that animated=for children, I find that stupid myself. There are lots of animated movies that are in no way suitable for children.

*cough cough* Felidae *cough cough*

Those who have seen or heard about Felidae will know exactly what I mean.

And even if I am watching a kids movie, so what. Last time I checked things like The Land Before Time or The Lion King didn't have a 'you must be under this age to watch this movie' requirement.

It really does irk me when if something is animated it is automatically thought to be for children even when the movie has more adult themes then some non-animated films out there targeted for adults.

I personally prefer animation or live action, animation takes much more time and work to get the whole movie together, but according to some people that makes me 'childish'. Ugh, whatever I'll just roll with and go with the flow I guess.

Does this bother anyone else or am I just nit picking at things that don't matter? Well..that latter one does happen..an awful lot but lets pretend it doesn't.

I knew I forgot to do something....whoops..


Name of fanfiction: Friends for Dinner
Rating: 7/10
Review: I really do like this story, I'm interested in fics that has the characters grown up and tells what possibly could happen. This one mainly focuses on Chomper and Littlefoot. What if while on hunt Chomper found an now adult Littlefoot on deaths door? The battle between Chomper feeding his family and saving his friend make a very interesting read. I look forward to the next installment.  


Name of fanfiction: Songs of the Hunters
Rating: 8/10
Review: Though my lazy butt has not yet left a review, I have been following this story since it was first posted. I love this one much as I loved the original, I am a sucker for stories where the gang have children but never before have I read one where the gang are sharpteeth and have children in the same story. Very well written and amazing detail, you really do feel for the characters, it is also making me want to get back into writing..sadly life refuses to give me the time. Recommended read.

Helpful Member Award: This is gonna be no surprise to those who know him but I'm voting for Ducky123, he is always glad to hear me out and help me if he can. He has helped me with more then just fanfiction but when I'm upset and have a problem in my life (which is  a lot lately..) he is always happy to help me deal with it. Don't know where I would be without him..most likely punching people in the face in anger..

Philosopher Award: My vote this year goes to Mr Calm and Mellow himself rhombus even when everyone else is at each other throats starting World War III, he keeps his cool considering both sides of the argument while still backing up his own theory but now dissing everyone elses. He is the kind of person I respect as he respects everyone else back.

Proactive Award: Honestly..no idea who to pick for this one, but in the end I went for DalekDino every time I come here he has a new post in the art threads or new caption or something. My own activity has pretty much died off lately but DalekDino is pretty much everywhere.

This time already? Year gone fast.

I'm gonna amuse all the awards are the same as last year.

If I worked this out right, voting will close on the 15th. Any special time for this? I'm 10 hours ahead of most members so if the forum has event at certain times I have to figure out that in AEST.

Hopefully I can find some time to vote, last year I had to do it rushed last minute post.
