Silver Screen / Kung Fu Panda

I saw it the day after it premiered. Despite some loud children in the theater room I enjoyed it a lot. Awesome movie, the action was intense yet acceptable for children, the humor is good and doesn't rely on toilet humor or pop culture references, and the animation is superb and it was a great bonus seeing 2D animation in the first few minutes of the film.

Great movie, I highly recommend it. And yes, Jack Black did awesome as Po.

So it's official, huh? A Metal Gear Solid movie? I looked it up and apparently it's real, Hideo Kojima himself has announced a movie is in development.

This is kind of a mixed bag for me. I mean, I heard a lot of good things about the series, but on the other hand I have this nagging feeling that Hideo Kojima is whoring out Snake and the series, after hearing how he begged to have Snake in the Smash Bros series. No offense to fans, but that's how I feel.

Toy Story 3 was a given. I mean, there have been rumors of a Toy Story 3 for years, so I'm not surprised they announced it. However, I'm not thrilled about hearing about Cars 2, I mean I didn't liked Cars, it was so boring to me.

Really? Hm, interesting. I always see computer coming with Vista and I heard Microsoft was going to stop supporting XP this year, but looking it up now apparently you'll be able to buy copies of XP until 2009. So yeah, looks like XP is here to say for a while longer.

I still don't have problems with Vista, but yeah it's a CPU hogger. I don't see any reasons to downgrade back to XP though, so I'll be sticking with it. However, I'll give it a bit more time before permanently labeling it 'worse operating system ever' like so many people have labeled it so far.

Huh, interesting. I mean, I heard about the anime series but I was expecting a few looks to change, it still looks american drawn except for the new girl. And that duck scares me.

From what I understand from that trailer, apparently that watch Stitch has takes count of every good deed he does, I guess he needs to make certain amount of good deeds or something?

I'm willing to give this series a chance. I mean, I liked the Powerpuff Girls anime, so I guess this one will be just as good. Although from my experience every american cartoon they turn into anime ends up being more comical if the Powerpuff Girls anime is of any indication.

You mean Tabuu's 3 Red Rings of Death (Xbox 360 reference XD) attack? Good Lord, how I despise those three rings. If you can't dodge them then forget about trying to beat Boss Mode on Intense for that challenge box...

New Super Mario Bros; the Fire Flower. It makes the game even easier then it already is by rendering the bosses extremely pathetic.

Bowser: Cheap flower...So cheap...



And while I haven't played it yet, I heard Mario Kart Wii's items and AI are pretty darn cheap. Apparently they all gang up on you in 150cc and completely murder you with what the players call 'item rape' where you get struck consecutively by a series of items all at once, causing you to lose 1st place and much frustration.

That's the irony, my desktop did get a clean install of XP a few weeks ago, yet it loads slower than my Vista laptop and it's pretty slow in loading up programs compared to my laptop.

I believe it's just because my desktop is old and its parts are failing. So far It went through two power supply and about three RAM memory replacements.

Hehe, I guess that's understandable. The usual thing I do on the laptop is go online, chat, play games, the occasional college work I have to do on computer and maybe toy around with the firewall and router to get my things online. So yeah, I guess I have no reason to have problems with Vista on such superficial functions.

I do find it a bit funny though that my desktop loads up slower than my laptop, and my desktop has Windows XP. Ironic, isn't it? I suppose that's because my desktop is pretty old and in need of either a complete hardware overhaul or a new desktop altogether.

Hehehe, same ol' landbeforetimelover. The Vista bashing on the net continues.

Personally, I have Vista on my laptop and honestly I haven't gotten any trouble with it. I can't really see from where these complaints are coming from. My programs run fine, I haven't gotten any problems with crashes or bugs, it's all running smoothly and perfectly.

I really don't know where this Vista hate came from. I read all the stories and heard all the criticism, but I still haven't come across anything that has made me unhappy with the OS. Maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones or I'm missing something.

Hahah, Conker's Bad Fur Day. I remember how I used to rent it all the time until I broke down and bought it. I just loved the game, it was fun, and the foul language and dark humor, while it may offend some people, made the game all the more better. It did kind of shocked me how Conker, who first started as a kid-friendly squirrel, ended up being this alcoholic squirrel who isn't afraid of doing #1 in public when drunk. Quite a funny and fun game. The parodies were pretty well done too.

Uh-huh...I have burned CDs with programs and such that are older than 5 years and they still work just fine. Maybe you have bad luck with them or something, 'cause I never heard of a CD corrupting or messing up after a period of time. As long as you take care of them and never scratch them they should work as well as the day you burned them. Even scratched CDs can be read no problem. So honestly I don't know where this "CDs never work past 5 years" idea came from.

I use CDs to back up important/huge programs that I own. I usually use my flash drives for documents and small files. So far I had one problem with my flash drive corrupting (Had to format it once, don't know how it got corrupted) and CD backups have never failed me yet.

Well Brawl was released on the US on a sunday too. Which kind of sucked because I had school the next day and couldn't spend a lot of time on the game.

I actually loved the Super Mario Bros. movie. Sure it had nothing to do with the games but to me it was funny and pretty good. It was goofy, had some references to the games (Mushroom, bullet bills, a super scope-like gun, a bob-omb and of course Yoshi), and it had a not-too-serious plot, just like the games.

Uwe Boll, the director responsible for butchering of a handful of videogames with his awful videogame-based movies like House of the Dead and Alone in the Dark, once said he recently got the rights for a Metal Gear Solid movie. Imagine all the negative outburst  from Metal Gear fans.

Fortunately Hideo Kojima, the creator and writer of Metal Gear Solid, responded a big, loud "Absolutely not!" when asked if he actually gave the rights to Uwe Boll for making a Metal Gear Solid movie.

So take a deep breath of relief, a Metal Gear Solid movie WON'T happen. And count your lucky stars, Uwe Boll would've ruined the game with making a movie out of it for sure. (Like what he did with House of the Dead, Alone with the Dark, Postal, Doom, and a few others).

The movie looks promising and interesting, that's true. But Link and Ganondorf don't look quite the part. And I think this movie has been proven to be an april fools joke.

BTW, action9000, maybe they were talking about this other Zelda movie? Contrary to this one, this Zelda movie is actually being made and it's FAN MADE.
