@Sneak: By the way, I'm curious about your purchase of this LBT 1 uncut script that you bought on Scriptfly for $14.95.

Congrats on finding a script that turned out to be real, despite how cheap the price was. But anyway, I'm pretty surprised that, even up to this day, they are still selling that same script that you bought all the way back 2018, literally still for the same price of $14.95.

So-o-o that begs the question for Mo-o-o. Was this uncut script never really "rare" or "exclusive" to begin with if it were selling for that cheap in the first place?

After a bit of research and digging around, I found out that this uncut LBT 1 script from May 1987 may have been available online much earlier than y-o-ou think. Well actually, this was certainly available earlier than the actual existence of the Gang of Five forum, as matter of fact! For example, as shown in this archived webpage from Nov 20, 2001. This was the earliest archived iteration of the Scriptfly Screenplays index page. Notice the "New Arrival" section on that webpage, listing the most recent scripts that they have received for whatever movie listed. The only way to know for sure when this uncut LBT 1 script was available for purchase on Scriptfly was to find an archived date of the site with "Land Before Time" listed in the new arrival section.

I could not find such page. However, this next link is from April 9th, 2002 and it shows a list of screenplays in alphabetical order from A-M only. If you scroll down to the "L" letter section, it clearly lists LAND BEFORE TIME, THE $15 on one of the lines. It doesn't indicate that it is the uncut LBT 1 script, but Mo-o-o have a go-o-od feeling that was what Scriptfly was selling at that time.

It kind of makes me imagine and speculate if this script could've been found online somewhere even earlier than Scriptfly but was just never archived/found. But yeah, Mo-o-o is quite glad that Scriptfly had been hosting the sale of this script for literally over two decades now. It would be a real shame if we hadn't found it before the site stopped selling it, or even worse, if it shut down.

Mo-o-o-o is just thinking about all of the fun upcoming events that the fishy will get to do-o-o with his irl Mu-u-ud Brothers this week and next week. :DD :smile

Firstly, my graduation from community college will commence this Thursday, though at a different campus than the one Mo-o-o goes to for some reason. Secondly, my professors are very nice and will throw us some sort of celebration on Monday in the afternoon for our accomplishments, perseverance, and achievements throughout the past 2 years. Plus, think of it as a sort of graduation/farewell celebration before the actual graduation. Thirdly, our whole class will attend some sort of award ceremony on that day as well. Forgot kinda what award its for exactly, though.

The other exciting part of this comes after graduation though. Mo-o-o and some of his Mu-u-ud Brothers plan to go out to a hibachi restaurant on Friday this week. Then the week after, on Monday, us and a bigger group of our classmates are probably gonna plan to head out to a Korean BBQ hotpot restaurant. I'm very happy and grateful for the friendships/bonds that I've made during my time at community college, and even as we graduate, move our separate ways and aim towards different paths, we will continue to stay in touch and hang out with each other from time to time.
That is something Mo-o-o is most happy about the most, that our cliche formed during college will remain. :spikeblush

Snowstorm in May.  :redclawscared

help

That's Russia for ya. :facepalm :smucky

On the plus side, weather in my area is around what you'd expect for spring, now sort of heading into summer. Temperate temperatures, relatively cool at night still, temperatures range from cool in day time to warm, but not anything summer hot yet. Warmest it had gotten so far was around 82°F, but that was for one day.

Also, April 25th was the last day during this year where my area experienced a low temperature that was (close) to the freezing point.

How cool! :RubyCurious

The same seller also has an early script from the original LBT film, too! With Littlefoot's name as "Thunderfoot!"

Wow, thank yo-o-ou a lot for pointing this out, Mu-u-ud Bro-o-other! :littlefoot :Dducky :CeraHAPPY :chompysmile
The fishy will amend my OP and add what you stated here. Also, I'll rename the thread to include the script for LBT 1 as you pointed out here as well. :)

There is also some points of interest that Mo-o-o is intrigued by. First of all, of course, as you stated, Littlefoot has his early name of "Thunderfoot" before they changed his name to what we know of today. Secondly, the title (fittingly) says "Land Before Time (Began)" which signifies the beginning of The Land Before Time franchise as know it. Thirdly, in the item description, one of the sentences says this:

Quote
An early working title for the film was The Land Before Time Began. Bluth, Spielberg and Lucas originally wanted the film to have no dialogue, like The Rite of Spring sequence in Fantasia, but the idea was abandoned in favor of using voice actors to make it appealing to children.

If this is true, it is quite a fun fact that Mo-o-o had no idea about. A movie having no dialogue would be pretty rare in the first place, right? Glad they went with the decision to have dialogue though, personally!

Fourthly, there are plenty of differences already as far as Mo-o-o can tell, between the final iteration of the movie and what is shown in the script. I invite everyone else to look at the photos at the link provided to spot them! I won't spoil it in this post. ;)

@Sneak: Thank yo-o-ou so-o-o much for sharing that link with us! :ChomperPOG
I'll add this link you shared to the OP. This does give me faith that this should be the real deal. :D

And yeah, Mo-o-o hope so-o-o to-o-o-o! Having all of the original scripts safe and sound in the community's hand is quite vital for their preservation! :smile

@StardustSoldier:
Hmmm, fascinating. Mo-o-o wonder if this will be reflected on the titles of the final draft scripts for "The Big Freeze" movie once that script is found. :ChomperOhhh :olittlefoot :RubyCurious :petrieooohh
