I'm making a save The Land Before Time XIV poll, and anyone here can feel free to sign it, here's the Save The Land Before Time XIV Petition

Once every here has voted that can, can someone email it to universal? I don't happen to have their email adress, I also might send the link to the land before time wiki and see what happens.

I know people might yell boo at me, but a lot of us knew the end of LBT was coming. I mean the fact there wasn't another season of the tv show, there was a delay in one year of the sequels, and the fact there are 13 sequels, it was about time for it to end.

I personally will not sign this petition because in my not so humble opinion the Land Before Time series as we know it has run its course. Don't get me wrong, I feel sad about the end of it too, my inner child was saddened to see the site down. Still I think it's sometimes best to move on to other things and have different creative projects for other fandoms. I mean look at Lion King. There hasn't been anything made for it ever since the prequel came out, yet many people LOVE that fandom.

However that is another discussion for another time.

Scrattelover2, take some time to look around on this forum and you'll find plenty of evidence and official sources proving that LBT is a closed merchandise.
Hoping is good, I can't blame you for that. But sometimes, we just have to bite the sour apple.
In addition, here's another truth:
There's no film company, in the whole world, that will invest in something that doesn't make a profit. Something LBT stopped doing a few movies ago.

This is why creating a poll for LBT XIV isn't a good idea.

Scrattelover3, I know we don't always see eye to eye but you don't really believe that an online petition will work, do you? I'm sorry but Lillefot is right...LBT is done. The series wasn't even making a profit anymore. They were pretty much keeping it alive on life support and it wasn't until the 13th movie that they finally decided to "pull the plug" so to say. Universal won't revive a series that has lost all its steam.

I love Land Before Time. I grew up with Land Before Time. Heck the first movie was the first film I had ever seen. But now it's time to let the series die with what dignity it still has. There are other things in this world than LBT. I'll miss Littlefoot and the entire Great Valley too, but hey, the series had a great run. What's important now isn't making it so the series continues but remembering how great it was and how it made us feel. That's how I'll remember Land Before Time.

Well, if the land before time is done, I guess that's why their making more Ice Age movies now. It is probaly going to be the land before time, going past six movies (hopefully).

Dude, Land Before Time is owned by Universal Studios. Ice Age, on the other hand, is owned by 20th Century Fox.

Why do you keep trying to run away from the truth? Look, I know you're in denial, but a petition? Really? The last petition I saw was for Disney to make Brother Bear 3, and even that didn't work as well.

I'm sorry dude, but let's just face it: LBT is dead. Gone. Forever discontinued. Abandoned. Done. There's really nothing we can do about it...

I found this movie series 2 years ago, only to find out that it's over

LBT is my favorite movie series and I would do a lot for a new sequel or just one more season of tv-series.

That isn't cast I want in it, that's cast I've heard is going to be in it, but that is rumor. As for the plot detail, that is something I want in it.

I'm sorry. It is dead. We cannot save the 14th film, because there never was a 14th film to save. There is nothing we can do to revive the series, and frankly, suggesting that two unrelated film companies will somehow be making a movie related to another franchise is just factually incorrect. False.

As before, it would be nice if there was a 14th movie, or a second season to the TV series, but that isn't going to happen as of now.

There is no rumored cast because there's not going to be a 14th movie. How many times do we have to say this? Yes, it's sad that there's no more LBT movies or that there won't be a second season but there's nothing we can do. A petition will not work and will not get the attention of Universal. If you really want to know whether or not they'll do a Land Before Time 14, just write to Universal. Let 'em know how badly you want a new LBT movie and see what they say.

Also, having Littlefoot fall in love with Ali is a horrible idea. Why can't they just be friends?

1) I don't know universal's email adress, so how can I? Unless someone here could give it to me.

2) How is that a horrible idea? Look how many characters in movies always find a girl in sequels. (i.e. Scrat = Scratte, Manny = Ellie, etc.)

Well first off, explain to me how the series would benefit from having Littlefoot and Ali fall in love? Why should they? Because one is a boy and the other is a girl? The thing is that with most romance subplots, there's no point to it. Most romance subplots don't help progress the story in any way and most of the time are just there for fanservice. Sure they can add depth to certain characters but hey, the characters in love can have just as much depth from simply being friends, if not have more depth from just sharing a simple friendship. There have been so many needless romance subplots that it's almost become a cliche in and of itself.

The other thing is that Littlefoot and Ali are obviously very young kids. If they were human, they'd more than likely be around the ages of seven or eight at the most. Were you interested in boys(or girls) when you were that old? I doubt it. I know that when I was that age, I was more concerned with just having fun than being in a relationship. The same is obviously true for Littlefoot and Ali.

As for contacting Universal, you could probably just ask someone on Facebook or ask on Yahoo! Answers.

I am sorry but this petition is not going to work.

Over the years, the sequels (remember there are thirteen) have diluted in plot and with delays in between them...and the television show only lasted a season.

It is nice that you want to continue the universe of the Land Before Time, but Universal is a big studio and can not always spare the time in cranking out Land Before Time sequels for a small proportion of die hard fans...you can always write fanfictions...about your plots...maybe draw your own comics, since you do art but universal is not going to listen to a petition with fifty signatures asking for another sequel to the Land Before Time, when the later sequels have not grossed enough money.

scratte , while i admire your persistance. it is not going to happen. the franchise's last gasp was the tv series, and that lasted a single season in reality, the tv series would have been a better idea about 8 sequels ago. there will not be a 14th film,the studio that made lbt has been shuttered for about 3 years now.
