A very simple thread; each one of us says one thing about where we live per post. I expect that we will learn many interesting things! And no, we do not need to post where we live if we don't want to, and we shouldn't expect others to have to guess.
I'll start.
Where I live, the subways run all day and all night.

Where I live you won't find any activity on Sundays.

I live in a city with the world's largest stock exchange.

Where I live is relatively close to America's largest naval base.

Where I live, it's a bureaucracy... :rolleyes:

Where I live attracts many tourists every year. Good for the local economy, bad for the residents, especially traffic :lol. Reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw on a car recently:
"It's tourist season! Can we shoot 'em?"

Where I live, it's snowing tonight. :p

Where I live, blue crabs are a delicacy. She-crab soup, yum :smile!

Where I live...it's by the largest ocean in the world! :D

We got a trampoline on the big field behind our house. Every child from our area plays with it.

Where I live boasts one of the Seven Engineering Wonders of the Modern World: The Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. It is twenty miles long, twenty-three miles if the approach roads are included.

Where I live, we have many bridges, some of which might be deemed "wonders" in their own time... plus a VERY big statue!

There's also an Ivy League college where I live.

You can walk through the downtown area in one minute. :p

Most of the jobs are in just one of five boroughs of where I live.

The main park where I live is VERY well known for the high school cross country races it hosts pretty much at least once a week every fall.

Where I live, we have a famous marathon every year.

Where I live, we have something called "The Fog Fest" every September, once every year. :)

Where I live a form of vehicle rock-paper-scissors is always in effect:
-Bikers have the right of way over pedestrians (if you don't like it you can get flattened)
-Pedestrians have the right of way over cars
-cars have the right of way over bikers

Where I live, they are a lot of bikers, but still far more cars. They also have lots of buses.

Where I live is considered the smallest city in the United States.

That's funny. I live in the largest city in the United States. You can all guess what it is by now...

The mayor of my city is staying on past his term, as she got them to change the rules. I hate that. I call him the "Grand Duke." <_<

Where I live is nicknamed "The Air-Conditioned City", because of the cooling effect the large lake next to it has on it in the summer.

My city is near the Atlantic Ocean and has several rivers going through it and near it.

Where I live, it's snowing outside right now. :blink:

Where I live, the largest Cathedral is unfinished... it is functional, but only about 85% built.
