Arius braced himself for the impact, but the sheer strength of this opponent startled him.  Just barely holding the deadly jaws away from him, he retaliated with a swift kick, launching Shriek backwards.  However, as he did so, the jaws took a chunk of the flesh from his right arm, and the claws slashed a wound in his belly.  Bleeding, he faced his opponent, and hoped that Dante could find a way to survive...

Dante, meanwhile, was wandering, blinded by the tears at his loss.  
"Arius... Why'd you have to leave me alone?  I can't find a place to stay...not alone..."
As he was saying this, he heard a faint noise sounding like someone crying.  Upon heading to investigate, he saw a small group of other dinosaurs, including a young flyer who appeared to be the source of the weeping...

"H...Hi there!  I'm...Dante...Dante S. Starfall.  What's wrong, Flyer?"
He said as he crested the hill he had climbed to investigate.

"Dante!  Run!  I'll Hold him off here!"  Arius yelled as Shriek rushed towards him.  
"But Arius... I can..."  Dante stammered, as he watched his mentor shift into a fighting stance, and stare down his opponent.
"Just Run!!!  I'll be right behind you! Now Go!!"  Arius yelled, and as Dante escaped, turned and kicked a tower of rock down behind him.  
"Now it's just you and me, Sharptooth..." Arius said, a strange gleam in his eye...

"Arius!  NO!!!"  Dante yelled as the rock collapsed behind him, and his mentor and friend was lost to his sight.   It was to be the last time he would ever see the raptor who had raised him from a foundling...

Whatever Arius was about to say was drowned out by a terrific roar as Shrike leapt towards them...

   Just was sitting around thinking, and then got the idea to challenge y'alls brains with a few video gamer riddles.

:huh: Just thought that it was a case of perspective.  Maybe a cause...

I think that there may be some evidence to the Cera/Littlefoot thing in the scene for "Bestest Friends."  For one thing, Cera seems even sadder than the others when she thinks she may have to say goodbye, and then the way she puts her cheek on Littlefoot's seems like she may really like him.  Of course, this could all just be wishful thinking on my part. :^.^:, since I  : this pairing...

Heh... Just Realized that it's from Starfox Adventures.  The Stegos are called Thorntails.  that's probably where you heard it from.

Defining Characteristics:  Necklace--Blue stone with the names of his new and old friends carved into it.

Personality:  Dante is an eccentric, likeable raptor with a tragic past.  Abandoned by his family for his mysterious powers, he wandered alone for some time until he met Arius, a raptor who took him in and trained him how to fight.   After discovering the fact that Dante was blind in his left eye, he taught him how to use spinning movements to conceal that fact.  Dante hates the sight of blood, and is actually a leaf-eater.  His power, which is in fact the spirit of a long-dead sharpclaw daemon, is concealed within his left eye, and it manifests when his eye changes color from blue to gold.  He also has a curse on his right arm, which imbues him with great strength, but it also deprives him of his sanity, leaving him a heartless killer.  He tries hard to be accepted, and often will risk his own life to protect others.

   Meteor:  Dante throws his staves at an enemy, then follows it up with a fierce spinning kick to their head.
Aerial Dance of a Thousand Spiral Wings: Dante races along a wall towards his foe, then carries them into the air with a series of brutal kicks and tail strikes.  He then slams them down with a handstand-style spinning split kick on the ground
   Black Flame Destroyer (Sankakku attack): Dante, posessed by the demon inside him, summons black flames and uses them to burn his opponent to cinders.
