Please Note I'll put links here going to the post for each chapter. This is also my first LBT fanfiction, I'll try to not make it too boring.

CHAPTER 1

A large valley of luscious green and sparkling blue. A valley of many families, all that are safe and sound together. A valley where bright skies and happy children play while the parents and adult gossip and watch their children. A wonderful place called The Great Valley. Outside of this wondrous valley? Dried plains and broken ground where stronger enemies linger attacking whoever is on their side of the mountains. Tree were dead and torn, land had began to split apart and volcano had erupted. All within this valley had once lived outside not too long ago. Many had been reunited with their friends, children, and mates. However one was left to wait for the one she cared for.

A young Gallimimus, a Rainbow Face we will call her, was left waiting near the cliffside where many had entered to join the others. She laid on her belly, her head and her slender neck slightly curved to relaxation. Her eyes were relaxed showing the dark blue markings on her eyes they had match the top half of her muzzle that went over her head and ended partly behind her neck.  Her stripes that went across her back and tail were too this dark blue color. She had fourteen stripes in all, six on her neck, four on her back, and 4 going half way down her long tail. Her main color was a grey-blue color, very different from most Rainbow Faces. Under her belly, under her tail, neck and even the lower of her muzzle was a yellow-beige color. Two rows of marks separated her lower muzzle and top muzzle colors, the bottom row was yellow while the top was a lightly pale red-orange. Her deep ice blue eye stared into nothing as she was lost in thought worrying for her friend. Her mind trailed back from her current age to when she was a hatchling.
“Run! Run!!” she heard the terrified voice in her head demand.

“Rain?” another voice called. The young Rainbow Face didn’t recognize this voice.  She snapped to her sense and looked around to see a small group of children behind her, all of different species. A purple-brown male Sauropod- a Longneck, a yellow female Triceratops- a Threehorn, a male dark-green Stegosaurus- a Spiketail, a yellow-green female Parasaurolophus- a Swimmer, and a male brown Pterosaur- a Flyer. They were younger then her, but she knew they gone to The great Valley alone and succeeded which gave them great maturity in her eyes.
“Hello there.” Rain spoke lightly, feeling her shy nature sneaking up on her.
“Rain, you haven’t moved far from that spot in days…” the small Longneck spoke with concern.
“Yea, when are you going to get moving?” the Threehorn said in a tone
   “Cera!”
   “What?? What did I do?”
“Oh, I must of not noticed..” Rain replied, “You see… I’m waiting for someone.”
`   “Ooo, is it your mate?” the swimmer exclaimed, filled with curiosity and naiveness.
“What? Goodness no! He’s just… well just a friend. My best friend you could say.” Rain explained as she sat up and faced the children. The flyer fluttered and landed on her head. Rain gasped and flailed, inevitably falling back.
“Oops… sorry.” The Flyer said, remaining in the air.
“So…Where is he?” the Longneck asked, “Why isn’t he with you?”
“We were separated thanks to a Sharptooth. He lead it away allowing me to get away.”
“Wow, how long did you two know each other?”
“Not very long my friends.” Rain replied.
“Could you tell us about it?” the Threehorn butted in.
“I…I suppose I could. But it’s a long story…” Rain twiddled her fingers
“We got time” the Flyer assured.
“Well… Very well… You see it began not long ago. My family and I had decided to find The Great Valley. We were a family of six, Mother, Father, my two brothers, and my sister. We stayed close together knowing if we were careful we could make it…”

The ground was dried and almost like a powder while the sun was bright in the sky. Many trees had lost their leaves and fruits, a main reason for many families to move. Rain followed behind her family. She looked around at the spacious, quiet area. She began to fall behind from her sight seeing.
“Rain!” a young male voice called.
She looked around to see one of her brothers, a dark brown-red Rainbow Face, and the oldest of the four, coming to her. “Come Rain” he said and nudged her along, getting her to catch up. The Father nuzzled Rain happily. She always remembered him being happy tempered, even in most situations.
The Mother stopped in place “…Did you hear that?”
The children stopped in place, all together. There looked around in different directions, partly from curiosity, partly from caution.
They felt the ground shake in a rhythm, slowly getting louder and louder.
   “Oh no…” The Father whispered.
They all stood still listening as the steps became louder and louder. Behind them they heard a loud viscous roar.
“Sharptooth…” The Father spoke and looked back “Oh dear. Go go go!” He screamed
“Run children, run!” The mother yelled as she nudges her kids to run with all their might. She turned and grabbed the father, her mate, the one she loved so dearly “Come on Dear!” she tugged pushing him ahead then running with him.
The sharp tooth, a gigantic Tyrannosaurus Rex, or T-Rex, gave chase. His dark green-brown skin intensified his red eyes that were focused on the group of Rainbow Faces. The children were ahead while the mother and father kept the Sharptooth’s focus on them. They pulled swift maneuvers, often tricking the Sharptooth into thinking they had given up then running again. They began to lead him from the siblings, taking a left path instead of up. Upon one maneuver the mother had slipped on a rock falling over. The Father rushed back to his mate’s aid, but it was too late. The Sharptooth had caught up to them.
   “Oh no!” The father yelled

Rain slowed and stop behind, she could still see the Sharptooth and what he was doing. The sight shocked her and tear swelled into her eyes.
The dark brown-red brother returned again “ I’m sorry Rain, but there’s no time to look back. We have to move.” he said as he nuzzled her. They froze as a roar commenced. They looked to see the Sharptooth now coming for them.
“Quickly!” The brother demanded and ran with her. The other siblings had stopped when they came across a uneven area. The ground had split apart and cause the ground to be little miniature mountains.
“Go! We can do it!” The oldest brother called. The two ahead began to run over the ground, followed by rain then the brother
“Was this all caused by the earthshake??” Rain questioned as she struggled to go across the ground.
“Yes, it seems more and more are happening.” The sister replied.
“Well I don’t like it!!” Rain exclaimed as she slipped falling behind. She quickly got up and went on her way but tumbled as the hit from the Sharptooth barely missed. Rain screamed as she struggled to get away. Her focus on the T-Rex broke when she felt a foot slip from under her. She somehow got to the edge of the cliff! The misplacement caused her to slide down the steep wall, tumbling hard and fast. The siblings called out to her in shock then noticed the T-Rex going after.
“No!” the younger brother called getting the large carnivore’s attention.
“Great job…” The sister spoke sarcastically.

There was no more yelling in the air, the smell of blood disappeared. Rain new her siblings would get away. She could only worry for herself as she reached the blunt edge and fell a good couple dozen feet onto the hard ground. She rested on her side in pain. She wondered if she had broken anything. She wondered if she was going to die. She felt she couldn’t move. She only rested on the tough ground, her vision fading.
“As long as my family is ok…I don’t care…” She whispered to herself as blackness engulfed her vision, and she passed out.

I like your fluidity with prose in this chapter.  When it comes to fan-fiction I am difficult to please, but I find this work is rubbing me the right way.

Keep it up!

Thank you, I'm very glad to know that someone is enjoying it. I don't write often, so I don't have much practice. So really it gives me a confidence boost in writing~

I'd appreciate help on such errors as I tend to typo / have a dyslexic moment or not correctly place a sentence. I'm glad you are enjoying it

this one was a bit stretched out and may be boring to some. chapter 3 will be more interesting

CHAPTER 2

“Were you ok though?” The Swimmer asked curiously
Rain smiled, “Yes, I was fine. I was a bit sore from where I landed, but it was ok. Sadly, I was asleep for a while. The great circle had moved across the sky quite a ways…”

The sky had set into glorious shades of orange, purple,  and pink. Rain rested on the ground for a few moments, listening to the sound of her body. She could hear how her breathing scratched her body lightly across the ground. She could feel her heart racing when she recalled what happened during and before the fall. The image was melted into her mind of what happened to her Mother and Father.
“That Sharptooth…” She thought to herself, “It just didn’t stop…”
Rain looked around, realizing she was in a canyon, or big ditch as she knew it as.
“Wow… That was a long fall.” She spoke to herself. She rolled onto her belly and groaned lightly. She had a slight pain in her side but she found it was nothing serious. She cautiously got to her legs, making sure to feel for any major pain. Rain, forgetting what had happened for the moment went to let a call out, her mind jolted realizing her that her siblings were probably unable to hear her. She closed her mouth and let her thoughts roam for a moment.
“Alright… Let’s find a way out instead.” She spoke to herself. She took a few cautious step around, examining the ground and the walls of the big ditch. She noticed scattered across the ground were various bones of different dinosaur species.
“ Oh my…” Rain whispered. She wondered if the bones were from others that died from the fall, or lived then died after. Rain didn’t linger on the thought, not wanted to scare herself any more than she already was.
“Maybe if I just go ahead.”

Rain walked for what felt like miles to her. The pain in her side subsided in turn of a filled mind of worries. She stared at the ground but looked up as she reached the dead end. To her relief there was a cracked out path that was wide enough for her. She smiled lightly, knowing she would be able to get out of her large prison. Taking cautious she began to walk up the path. She stared at the sky then the ground and began to speak to herself.
“Once I’m out of here, I can find my brothers and sisters. We can travel together as a family and find The great Valley. We won’t have to worry about Sharpteeth, or not having any food, or water.”
   Rain smiled at the thought.
“We will find friends to play with, and new places to explore and enjoy.”
Rain stopped and looked back, see how high she had come. Rain had been a fast walker when she felt she wanted to.
   “I just hope they’re ok.”

High off from the big ditch the siblings had taken shelter for the day. The youngest brother and the oldest sister slept cuddled together to stay warm while the oldest brother sat at the edge of the shelter worrying over Rain.
“Mother would be very sore with me. So would Father.” The oldest brother whispered to himself. He shoke his finger as he mimicked his Father “No extra berries for you now, Don” .
Don chuckled, feeling a little bit of relief from his comedy. He looked back at the siblings. Mimi, a pale green tinted yellow Rainbow Face with pale green-blue stripes had her head on DusterĂ«s, a dark green Rainbow Face with medium blue stripes, back.
“I do wonder how we all came out different colors.” Don wondered to himself. “Only Mimi and Duster look a little like Mother and Father.”
Don looked back outside then stood “I hope you’re okay rain, Mother and Father wouldn’t like this at all.” He walked to his siblings and joined them in the snuggle to rest.

Rain kept heading in the general direction of the Great Circle. She knew if she could just keep following it she’ll find the other two roads to The great Valley, and she knew if she did she’d find her family. She was very urged to call out but with the fear of Sharpteeth she preferred to remain quiet. She felt weak from her way, wanting to stop as well but knew to continue on. Ahead she could see a figure of a dinosaur. It w
