Very good.  The only things that needs to be tweaked for both your Clans is to scale down your armada to 30 ships or less, and to describe different types of warships.  Other than that, great job!  I'll post my stuff here in a little bit.

I've been sleep-deprived all week and weekend because one of my dogs thought she could leave my yard anytime she wants, and everyday I put up new barriers to cover escape routes she used, but she always finds another way out.  If this keeps up tomorrow, then I'm going to have to give her up to the local shelter, because I'm sick and tired of having to be sick and tired with giving up so much time having to watch this stupid dog and clean up after her messes.  I gave up a day in my beginning career because she and my other dog escaped and refused to return when I called.

Enough of this bleeding heart.  I'll have the sheet done soon.

OK then.  I'll need time to put the Imperial Union together and the big back-story.  You guys can start putting together the name of your Clan, the kinds of ships you can have in your armadas, like carriers, battleships, cruisers, etc, and their weapons.  Just keep it between 7 to 20 large ships total, and not all big battleships and such.

As for characters, anyone is free to have a character or two in the Imperial Union, as Clan representatives or otherwise.  If you want to have a character from someone else's Clan, be sure to ask them first.


EDIT:  You can up your fleet of large ships up to 30 instead of 20, including hospital ships, maintenance & manufacturing, supply, science, & civilian transport.  Our fleets are basically self-sufficient, and only need to resupply not so often for food, water, & fuel.

At this time, there are two votes cast overall, one for sci-fi and the other for Japanese.  So we can make an attempt at combining the two.

Here's my scheme:  The focus is on an colonial armada of ships as they leave a dying world to find a new paradise.  The armada is broken down into semi-independent fleets led by various Clans.  Though they travel together on a mutual goal of finding a new home, some of these clans are prone to let past vendettas get out of control, and fights between Clans often erupt among the fleets.  An attempt to stem the inner fighting leads to the formation of the Imperial Union, a peacemaker fleet led by an elected council rather than a Clan family.  Though most of the Clans see this as a benefit to settle disputes without combat, others see it as an eyesore and even a potential threat in the making.  Among the worries is that the Union accepts anyone who does not fit into any of the Clans, and anyone who leaves or defects the Clans, and the Union's numbers have increased significantly.

What else does Japanese culture fit into the picture?  The very way of life, and samurai space warriors!  Besides each fleet having a band of space fighters, the samurai (and ninja) class can be equipped with space suits so they can fight in space, and they would be trained to take on fighters as well as other samurai.

Brief Bio:  Churchill is one of the first of England's dragons, many of whom were named by great leaders & heroes.  Though the newer generations of dragons could be ready for combat at only 10, Churchill's group has greater maturity when they were partnered with their human riders, Hank Foster being his own rider.

Kura nodded.  "As much as I desire to rescue my boy as soon as possible, I believe we can not leave the humans here either..."

"And I doubt we angels can simply kick down doors to take the kids outta here," Charlie chimed in.  "This is considered neutral territory and the lady of the house has got some strict rules we must abide by..."

Kura and Shirigume also rose to their feet.

"I suppose this must be more than coincidence that we all meet here," Kura said.

"Other than the regular customers," Shirigume chimed in, looking to Charlie & Genta.

"If you wish, Lady Sun Goddess, we all can talk more back in the room."
