"Now you all die" one of the Shadow Squadron pilots snarled as he launched a smart bomb.

"Blast it" Stryker cursed, barely managing to escape the detonation, he soon came around and fired a few laserblasts which struck the enemy craft's cockpit, ending the pilot's life and plunging the ship to the ground.

"That's for good measure" Avalon said over the com-link.

Just then, a voice came on the receiver. "Rouge Leader to Star Fox. We're coming in to assist you..."

The voice was quickly followed by the screaming of engines as a group of six Arwings buzzed by above the fight.

Rouge Leader, callsign for veteran pilot Ace Renderson, turned his plane in a descending arc. "Looks like our buddies need a paw," he radioed to his flight. "Split into two of three and sweep the area clean. Rouge 1, you take lead on flight 2."

"Copy that, Rouge Leader," Ace's wingmate, young Joven Hawke, replied. "Rouge 4 & 6, stick with me, and let's show what we're made of!"

The group split into two teams and dove in on the melee, homing in on ships of Shadow Squadron...

Read you loud and clear Rogue Leader" fox radioed back " thanks for the assist. We'll repay the favor sometime. we've been trying to dfind out what happened here, but with no luck so far..
Fox continued firing, knocking downm Shadow Squadron planes with ruthless efficiency..

Krystal kept doing a redout of the base.. " Whatever overran this base did it in a hurry.. Perhaps they took them to Fichina.. or perhaps Sector X.." How are you holding up Katt? She asked..

The reinforcements caused the sky above the base to swirl into a storm of screaming engines and laser blasts. Ace was calmly taking the fight to the enemy, eventually allowing his wingmates to disperse into a pair and fight alone. Joven kept his team together as they swept across the area to snipe on any stray ships of Shadow Squadron...

falco, pummeled a number of enemy fighteres.. the battle in the air was slowly tilting in thier favor.. ' Keep it up guys" Slippy called downing a ship..

Several green twin laser blasts fell from the sky, and blew a dozen enemy fighters out of the air. As they fell a vioce rang out over the ship to ship coms. "You guys need to relax, you're on MY planet remeber?" cried Bill as he swooped in with the entire Bulldog unit flying in formation behindhim. "Now pilots lets clear these skies!" he shouted as he weaved his starfighter between the enemy and fired his twin lasers.

Meanwhile inside the base several dozen men of the Katina 9th Malitia stepped into the control room, the leader of the team walking up to Krystal and Katt before opening his helmet and showing it to be Bills son Jason as he began speaking, "Did you two find anything important?

Ace looked out the side of his cockpit just in time to see a familiar-looking Arwing weave into the fray. "I was wondering when you're going to show up, old chum," he replied on the radio. "Rogue Leader to Rogue Squadron. We got more back-up, but don't slack off. This fight ain't over just yet!"

"Understood, Rogue Leader," Joven replied.

Rogue Squadron continued to spin around the enemy ships, downing a few in the process...

Jason grinned. "Would you mind stepping aside for a moment Krstal? I think I might have a way around our no data problem!" commented Jason as he pulled out a small flash-drive from his pocket.

Bill for his part was having a grand amount of fun! "Hey Fox, just like old times huh?" he commented as he fired a few more laser shots taking down a few more fighters with a jovial laugh.

In little time, Rogue Squadron has driven off their remaining portion of adversaries.

"That should teach them, right Rogue Leader?" Joven radioed.

"Right, for now," Ace replied. "Hey McCloud, Grey. We'll keep watch for any return visits."

The six Arwings circled in formation high above the base for surveillance.

sklippy was onboard the great fox analyzing the readout of the base.. ' looks like whoever hit katina left in a hurry.. we should out sector X fox, as I doubt thry went throgugh Solar.. while our arwings can withstand higher tempratures than they used to, i'd rather go through Sector X..
