the sun shone brightly in the clear carribbean sky. the white sands ratled as the ble water rushed over them. nearby, three towel;s were set up. One held vizen prosducts, a large, half-eaten cocunut and a spilled glasas filled with some sort of margarita. the second was covered in odd assort of rage, an odd compass, and two pistols, a hat, and sand-encrusted man, who was currently cursing at a receding figure.

"Shut yer gab, foo!" retorted Aves at the crazed pirate "I'm on vacation. An look, you ruined me drink. Bloody twit!"
Aves glared up at him

"Ah, but you ruined me bearings. and Jack Sparrow does not like to have hisds bearings ruined. Savvy?' Jack's said curling his lip and giving him a glance under an arched eyebrow. "I'm trying to find the Ilse of DEl Merta.. and your cavorting with your lady friend has broken my concentration. You're lucjky my pistol's only have one shot in them.."

"Yah yah, whatever Sack Jarrow, er whatevver ye call yerself." mumbled Aves "Now would you mind standing aside? your in my sunlight."
just as he was speaking another figure stepped out from hiding from behind a nearby shrubbery. This was a cat, a young gray cat by the name of Paws. his tai and forearms wrapped in white ninja cloth

"Forget him' said a soft and Sultry voice. Mause was a young Vixen, who was to put it frankly, stunning in appearance.She was clothed today in a string swimsuit, which highlighted her physique, the lightly tanned fur, and curvy , bushy tail, along with her fiminine features. as she walked slowlly towards Jack and Aves, she smiled a little inwardlly at Aves, who was looking at her, mouth slightly agape.'Foxes, wherever, they're from, they're all the same" She grinned.

Paws made a mock cough and snatched Aves's drink from his paws.
"You owe me a drink, Aves. Of coarse, shaken, not stirred. And now -" he looks to Mause "Who am I to have a pleasure with meeting?"

"mause.." mause said loking at the cat, with a nonchalant air. she was a vixen well aware of her loooks, and the effect said looks had on males of just about any species.. well, save for dog, man, or fish. She smiled at Aves, who was gritting teeth slighjly, he didn't like sharing his drink... or her, she guessed..

Aves wasn't a bit pleased seeing the grey cat whom he had known for some time. Paws was a jack of all trades, a secret agent, a famed archeologists, a professor of history and a warrior well known in the ways of the Sumeria. Aves had lost a great lumpsum of his mithril in a game of poker the night before at the resort casino. And he also owed the cat a drink, which Paws was sipping as he eyed the female vixen
He had however forgot about Jack Sparrow who was eying the three creatures

"Lady, and Gentlemen, I'm thinking that I'm in need of a crew" Jack broke in suddenly. "How would you like to sail the seas , under my command, and find adventure, romance, treasure, and pretty anything yer heart desires,?' he said, slurring his speech slightly and gesticulating in an odd manner. Jack was a famous pirate, he had escaped several times from the British, just as they were about to hang him, and he was also famous for being quite odd in his mannerisms..

A soft rustling sound came from the ground near the group, and a strange, lanky figure wrapped from head to foot in bandages popped out. He wore a green tunic and leggings, and carried a pair of daggers in his hands. He looked at them with the one eye that was visible, studying them.
"Treasure? Such as shinies? Jack-of-Knives will come, then!"
It (he?) said, twisting its spine around so it looked away from them, then leaning back to plant its hands on the ground and look at the again...

"What is this I hear about someone needing a crew?" A man wearing a black leather jacket asked, strolling out of the jungle and onto the sandy beach. A pair of sunglasses covered his eyes.
"If it means getting off this island, I'm willing to join your crew," the man said. "Name's Brock, Eddie Brock."

Welcome Mr. Brock" Mause said. "Soon, Mr. Sparrow at this rate,you'll have a full crew.."
And a pretty crew at that " Jack drawled. mause shot him a look. "I wouldn't do that if I..' Jack tossed her a bag, which she oppened to find filled with silver coins. She muttered to herself, but kept the bag..

Sho had been swimming around the water in his non anthro form and neared the beach. He shifted to his anthro form and stood up once he was near the beach. He was wearing a wetsuit made of high tech materials and tech, more then enough to keep his skin moist, as well as sneaker looking shoes and gloves of the same material. He heard voices not to far off and headed off in that direction. He soon walked out "Hey folks, going on a trip, sounds like it could be fun." He said in a cheery voice.

Dan stood looking at the area where the fissure in space/time had been and looked at the smoking and new useless device that was mostly a molten mass that had sealed it from this side. "I guess Ben was right about how to seal it.. I just hope Jean understands and forgives us for using a Zat gun on her. When she wakes up."
He heard the reply from within his head as usual from the Goa'uld within him. No need to talk aloud to talk to me, and we did agree we should be the choice instead of her. Tah' said.
"Yes true, still it is a bit scary just the same. Even though we are more expendable then she is, being mere civilians & all."
He looked around, picked a direction and started walking in the direction. He was nervous, but he did have some equipment on him, not much being a civilian and not a full stargate military person, mainly some small Goa'uld equipment he had scavenged from past battles off fallen evil Goa'uld hosts. & having a good one within him, he thought to himself, did mean that even if they were in some uninhabited world together with their combined knowledge and experience they'd be not bad off, able to make tools quickly. After walking for a bit, not very long by his watch, he thought he heard voices and hid to listen to what they were saying.
This could be a way off. They don't sound like savages or the type. I say we go with them. Tah' said to Dan mentally. Dan nodded. It would be better then being alone with Tah' only. He stepped out waving abit. "Hey, what would that involve?" Dan asked. He was wearing a civilian stargate type of clothing with some non standard things as well that he had or was wearing.

Risking your necks" Jack simpered as he chuckled. 'welcome good sirs, please hop on board. Your names please?'

Mause looked at the humans- where they humans?- and smiled. "Hello I'm Mause. Pleasure to make your acquintance..'

Jack of Knives looked around at the many new faces.
"We greet you all. We are Jack of Knives. A pleasure it be to make your...acquaintances."
He said, still bent over backwards...

Eddie frowned for a moment when Jack of Knives used "we" to refer to himself. Though it probably wasn't because he was similiar to Eddie and his other, but merely a psychological problem. Of course, Eddie wasn't going to hold that against him, after all quite a few people questioned his own sanity and it annoyed Eddie a great deal.
The symbiote informed Eddie that the latest arrival wasn't entirely human, though the orginism couldn't identify the entity that it sensed within the human.
"Pleased to meet you."

The Orca waved again, "I'm Sho, and as for risking our necks, no one lives forever." He said.
"I"m Dan." Dan said, a bit nervously. Then Tah momentarily took control, but without the glowing eyes and voice so he would appear normal said in Dan's normal voice, "Life isn't without some risk." Then returned control back to Dan. He had gotten use to that sort of thing and smiled as if things were normal.
It is true. Tah' said to Dan, who responded, I guess. To which Tah' replied with: Accidents can happen in a shower, or getting out of bed. Dan inwardly nodded saying to Tah, I'm just glad we have some Goa'uld stuff.
"So what's up?" Sho the orca asked.

Jack of Knives stood up, then turned around.
"We are going to hunt the world for shiny treasures, we are! Or so we've been told"
He said, enthusiastically...

Yes, savvy. We are searching for treasure. The Isle of Del Merta to be ptrecise, where a hundred pirate captauins buried their treasures.. along with thier crews to point the way."

"Where might your ship be, Captian?" Eddie asked, glancing up and down the beach.

Sho the orca glanced out to sea away from the beach, "Maybe it is off the beach a ways, out to sea." He said thinking that a small boat had been used to get to the beach.
"or it may have some sort of cloaking device." Dan said,

My ship is too big to be hidden by a cloak' Jack said, not truly understanding what Dan meant. As for whee it is. It's docked in a cove just out there" He pointed down the beach, where the shore reteated inland. "It's called the Black Pearl,its been crewed by the dead, and the living.."

"The dead? I guess they do not need much food or water then. " Sho the orca said, he thought for a moment then continued, "Are they mainly whole, or are they decaying and missing parts, since that could make the living folks near them sick." smells didn't bother him to much since being an orca he didn't have much of a sense of smell, or at least not as good as even humans'.
"What is the method of their animation?" Tah' asked through Dan curious. He assumed some sort of tech, he had heard some ancient devices could do such thing, though there were many rumors of what the ancients and their devices could and could not do.

They were cursed.. they were not really dead, nor really alive. comsdemned to a sort of limbo' jack said. "I was their captain, but my first mate led a mutiny against me.."

"Cursed? That is dire indeed, any way to help uncurse them? That first mate fellow sounds like a rather unpleasant fellow." Sho the orca said.
Dan was thinking about what was said, thinking to himself and Tah', I wonder if we are in another universe where magic does work, or it is one of those ascended ones, or partially ascended who did that. Heard some of them are not very pleasant.
Tah said in replay to him, It is possible, either of your ideas, or it may be both. Though if the others did not interfere it may indicate that either it was an ori type who did it, or perhaps indeed what some may call magic.

Eddie listened silently while the others questioned their new captian. He wondered for a moment if he should bring up the question of what the crew's share of potential profits might be. Neither he, nor the symbiote were very interested in money though.
They only cared about getting off the island and then proceeding to some sort of adventure.
"What sort of share of the treasures might we expect?" Eddie asked, since no one else had yet. He wasn't interested in the money, but Sparrow's answer could well reveal some of the pirate's character.

Aves had grown a bit displeased with the overcrowding figures who were all blocking his sun. so He snuck away and towards another palm tree. there he had a great view of the ocean that glitered like a sea of diamonds beneath the mid day sun. He sighed happily and slumped back down against he palm.
Paws was still with the group half listening to the chater of the so called pirate's treasure and half sneasking a glance at the retreating fennec fox

Fulll and equal share, my good man" Jack replied. "If we are lucky. We'll be taking enough booty so that each man and lady will be wealthy beyond their wildest dreams. treasure to make kings look like paupers." His eyes were gleasming with excitement, and the call of the treasure hunt. "aS for my first crew. The curse was lifted some time ago, thanks to a lad named Turner, Will Turner. I dealt with my first mate, that traitorous swine barboosa" He spat at the name."There are things such as curses and magic, my friends, but whether or not they are helpful or harmful, depends on the person you are dealing with in such things. everything has a price, it depends on whether you are able or willing to pay said price" He gave the orca a odd glance, and went over to collect his things from his blanket.

Eddie was satisfied by Jack's reply. He seemed to be an honourable, even if he was an outlaw.
He frowned as the symbiote asked him a question.
It's true that not everyone here is exactly human, but I'd rather keep your existance a secret for as long as possible, Eddie thought back.

Coming Aves? We're going on an adventure! Grab your belongings and get ready" mause said to Aves, who was trying to enjoy the view from a nearby palm tree.

"Adventuring?" muttered Aves feeling very reluctant to move from his lazy spot "What? do we look like we live in some silly cartoon movie about baby dinosaurs or something? My adventure is here!"
despite his reproach, he was soon forced to accept maters and even more reluctantly went back to their motel room to fetch his luggage while mumbling words unknown to the English or Latin language

Come come aves' I'll make it.. worth your while if you come along quietly' Mause said very softly as she followed Aves around. put it this way.. would you rather be back at that resteraunt of yours right now, or here?' Here you don;t have to worry about greasy food, although you do have to worry about odd eye-liner wearing pirates who walk around like they're punch-drunk."

"Or pirates who are vegetables. Didn't see the movie but I did see the trailer." Dan said not sure what sort of movie it was, likely one aimed at kids written down at kids perhaps.

What the hecks a movie?' Jack wondered aloud. "Never heard of them. Being from the 18th century. Jack was from a time long before movies..

"It's something like a painting that moves." Tah said through Dan. Thinking that would be the easiest way to explain what a movie was to someone from before the movie era.
I'm glad we don't have to try to explain a computer. We'll have to remember to just use 18th century type of phrases. Dan said to Tah'.
I agree. We will have to be more careful in the future. Dan said.

I see' Jack said with a casual air. You'll have to show me one of those things lad. It mighght be an interesting experience. "

"It would be," Eddie said. He frowned, it had a while since he had seen a movie with spending most of his time hunting the Spider and the other half in jail.

"Shall we get going?" Dan asked. He wasn't sure if he had some videos on his sdhc card, but his pda would eventually run out of power. Otherwise he would think about showing a movie on that.
"Unless some are tired and want to set here for a while and rest." Sho said.

"It would be better for us if we leave soon," Eddie said. He glanced around the beach.

We still have to wait for the foxes and that cat' Jack said. Everyone else, climb aboard. We set sail in thirty minutes." He said. walking towards a rope that tied the Ship down to the shore. He jumped on it and, with the flair of a experienced seaman, shimmied up the rope. "come along Gents, treasure awaits1 Or if you prefer to spend your time here, in this idyllic, but rather boring place, whatever fills your sails."

You walk up and I'll focus on keeping the body's sense of balance enhanced. Tah said to Dan who nodded.
Tah focused on enhancing Dan's sense of balance better then it usually was and Dan walked over to the rope and held out his arms with his hands open and started to walk up the rope. He looked down to be sure he was placing his feet center on the rope. With his hands open some may be able to see the jewel looking thing that was on the palm of his glove on his left hand from the hand device he was wearing, though it was turned off. With his hands outstretched and Tah keeping his balance enhanced he had less trouble then usual, though he did have to pause now and then and swayed a bit as he walked up the rope.

Eddie quickly ascended the rope. The symbiote allowed to scale the sides of buildings, so the rope was no challenge at all.
He climbed onto the ship's deck and glanced around. "Now what, Captian?"

Go pick out your bunkl- thats your bed for landdwellers" Jack replied. "Or you can start hauling up the anchor.. makes no difference to me.

Sho looked at the others before he tried to get on the ship, "You need some help or can you get on yourself?" He asked.
(ooc: "I assume some are not on the ship yet, like Aves's character? )

Eddie headed to find a bunk. He saw no point in hauling up the anchor until the fox had returned. He glanced around to make sure he was alone and then his jacket and sunglass melted into a black liquid. The "jacket" reformed into a short sleeved shirt, while the "glasses" just merged with the rest of the suit and disappeared.
"That's better," Eddie said aloud. Perhaps later he would adapt attire more fitting for a pirate, but not right now. The others would surely find such a quick wardrobe change suspicious.
(ooc: Jack of Knives isn't on the ship either.)

Sho shrugged and went to the rope. Looking it over he thought he did not have the balance to walk up the rope so he hung on to it by hand and went up the rope. Once he was near the ship he stopped and started to swing back and forth till he had enough momentum and launched himself into the air, with a flip and landed on the ship. His legs bending only slightly as he landed.

Jack of Knives looked at the ship for a moment, then flipped into the air, landing high on the rigging, then scurrying down it like some sort of mutant insect. Once on the deck, he stood on his feet again, then began to inspect the ship.
"This is...Black Pearrrrlll? Why is it so...familiar to usss?"
He asked, twisting his torso around to examine the ship...

"Perhaps you have been on a similiar ship before?" Eddie asked, stepping back out from below. He glanced around the deck, feeling a little daunted. He wondered for a moment if any of their group knew how to crew a ship.

Aves was being rushed by his vixen girlfriend to hurry and load up their luggage. He grumbled and muttered rebeliously as he did so.
"I'd rather stay on land here at this beach resort than go out to sea on some rickety old wooden ship!" he grumbled just loud enough for Mause to hear him

Aves was soon pulling the luggage by the handle dragging the heavy burden behind him like a mouse pulling a large block of cheese.
"A little help would be great." he said with a pant

"Honestly.. how does your co-owner Nick put up with you? You're worse than a Dibbun" Mause said shortly as he helped carryu the large suitcase onboard. The boat looked like it was seen better days, and the captain was walkingf around, like he had had a few too many goes at the glass.

A loud creaking could be heard overhead and then the ceiling above them crashed in. A large scaley creature fell in front of them. He rolled onto his four feet and glanced around, his eyes wide.
"Wow," the aqua green dragon commented, spreading his wings. "I only slept through the night and the roof is already cracking. You'd think they could make these things a little studier."

It woukld help if you weren't carrying at that weight round. I do hope the hotel doesn't charge us for the roof damage." Mause said.

"Weight?" he repeated sounding offended. "I don't weigh that much at all, ma'am. It's obviously the fault of their secondrate carpentry."

"Sir, this is a four star hotel. they don't do anything half-ass. especially the roof. " Mause replied. "Whatever the reason, your weight was enough to cause the roof to cave in. You'll just have to come with us. What's you're name anyway?"

"My name is Drake," the dragon replied, glancing up at the hole he had made in the ceiling. He shook the dust from the crash off his scales. "Who are you and where are you going?"

I'm Mause" Mause Said. "Where we're going. We don't exactly know. A treasure hunt of some sort. Complete with map, and zany pirate captain." She grinned.

"Meh yeah.." grumbled Aves "a treasure hunt. And why we'd need to go on a treasure hunt after I accumulated so much wealth from all that mithril beats me."
After speaking his mind he stopped pulling on the luggage and looked as if in thought as he started to remember something. then followed the audible forehead slap upon realization
"I keep forgetting, I lost all that loot to a 2#$@ game of poker! Augh!"

you didn't lose all of it. Just 95%' Maue reminded him. "Thats the max you can lose here.. luckily for us.." Mause had expensive tastes, but she wouldn't mind being frugal for awhile..

"Treasure?" Drake's eyes lite up at the word and his tail wagged a bit, threatening to knock a vase over.
"That's why I don't gamble," he commented, squeezing down the hall after the two foxes and glancing around for anyone who might be involved in hotel management.

Later...
"Is that the last of the luggage?" asked Aves as he wiped sweat from his eyes. He had to load the luggage piece by piece unto the Pearl, and pretty much all by himself as everyone else stood around chattering excitedly about treasure hunts and other silly 'delusions'
It was his regret that the luggage consisted of all the crap he had bought with his mithril loot. At least half the fortune was spent on nic nacs and other useless things.

Well, you have no one to blame but yourself for buying all this stuff" Mause reminded him. "No one forced you to buy it." This was not completely true, she had played a role in buying some of it, the golden-laid slippers for example. "While you're bringing your back into place. "tell me more about this co-owner of yours, Nick, I think you said his name was?"

Drake landed on the deck of the ship and glanced around, he tapped a paw against the wooden floor nervously, hoping it wouldn't react similiarly to the hotel ceiling.

Jack of Knives suddenly spun around, seemingly distressed.
"Fire! Ships Burning! Pain! Death!!!"
He shrieked, falling to the ground clutching at his head...

Dan stood on the deck of the ship and looked around. He'd not been on a ship of this type before.
Sho stood on another area of the ship looking down at the sea below.

Everyone onboard then, alright my friends, the Hunt is on!" Jack said. "Our first stop is in tortuga, for supplies.."

"Eh.. Nick?" Said Aves scratching his chin. "Oh, you know. He's just another mate working his part at the Insane Cafe. He does all the cleaning and order taking, I do the cooking."

There was a figure, deep below the boat, walking slowly. A fish, nearby, looked allured at a light. It just kept getting closer... and closer... It was so interesting.
Wait, are those teeth?
Snap
As the angler fish swam off, it left behind a ghostly pale apparition of the fish it had snapped up. The figure, a tall, extremely thin, skeletal robed figure, looked at the ghostly fish.
HELLO.
The figure swung it's scythe, the the fish faded away. Death looked upwards, and, beyond most resonable human being's ability to see, saw a ship drifting above. He nodded, and drifted upwards.
A rather irate, much smaller figure, fell out of his robe.
SQUEAK EK EK!
Death looked back.
SORRY.
He picked up the Death of Rats, and they both drifted to the ship on the surface.

What is he like? Is he a nice guy? What is he? Human? Fox? Squirrell?" Mause's eyes gleamed, like they had when she had first seen Aves..

Eddie jumped at Jack of Knives' sudden outburst. At first he thought perhaps they'd been attacked, but a quick glance around revealed everything was peaceful.
He gazed down at the shrieking being with pity as he realized he was perhaps reliving some tramatic experience.
"Why can't you get supplies here?" Drake asked, bending his long neck around to stare at their captain.

The supplies we need are only located in Toturga' Jack replied with a shake of his head. "Now, Mr.. whatyourface, I need you to tighten down the sails. the tighter the sails the faster we go.."

Death appeared at the side of the ship, along with the Death of Rats.
CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW? NO, I AM NOT HERE FOR YOU. I RECALL THE OTHER, HOWEVER.
Death regarded Aves for a moment, with his eyeless stare, thne turned to the Pirate.
I AM QUITE WILLING TO SEE WHAT THIS "TREASURE HUNT" IS LIKE.
The Death of Rats spun to look at Death.
SQUEAK EEK EEK SQUEAK?!
Death looked at the little, robed, skeletal Rat.
YES, THAT IS WHY I AM HERE.
The Death of Rats jumped up and down and guestered violently downwards.
EEK EEK SQUEAK!
Death shook his head.
NO, WHY DID YOU THINK THAT WAS IT?
The Death of Rats said nothing, but looked down and placed a skeletal paw on his forhead.

Welcome, Death, and little Death. I expect you'll be busy on my ship, and we will probably resort at some point to eating the little beasties that scurry in the bowels of my ship"

"Drake," the dragon said. "Not Mr. whatyourface."
He turned to the sail and examined it with a look of annoyance. He turned back to Jack with a grimace on his scaley face. "You're suggesting we eat vermin?"

If food runs short, what other alternative will we have? Unless you're offering yourself up now in advance, which is a noble sacrifice by the way" Jack grinned showing rows of discolored and frankly disgusting teeth. It was clear he hadn't brushed in awhile..

The Death of Rats shrugged. He didn't have to eat, either, but, perhaps due to his rodent nature, would always nibble on any food he could get at. It felt highly appropriate.
Death had started eye-socketing Jack of Knives. Death, having been envisioned by humans, felt human emotions. Something was deeply disturbing about the bandaged figure.
SQUEAK EEK SQUEAK. Squeaked the death of Rats, taking a step away.
THAT IS TERRIBLY IMPOLITE.

"I'm doing no such thing," Drake replied. "But keep in mind if we do run low on food, rats are going to be too small to satisfy me much..."
He grinned back at Jack. His sharp white teeth shone in the sunlight.

"Human I suppose" said Aves responding to Mause's persistent questions "Or he could be an over sized hobbit. Or a slightly chubby elf. How de heck am I supposed to know?!? I never really studied the guy that much before."

" don't be so snippy!" Mause retorted. "I'm just curious, thats all. Besides, any one who can put up with you for a year is eligible for sainthood" She grinned at Aves' reaction. "Come on, lets go check out our sleeping quarters."

Upon entering the ship's sleeping quarters Aves cringed at he smell of dead fish and the sea. He also did not like the way the ship creaked as it rocked too and fro from the sea beneath.
"I think I'm REALLY going to get sea sick in this dump!" He retorted.

Dan stood near a railing looking out over at the sea that he could see, thinking of how long they'd both be in whatever place and time this was.

Mause set down her belongings on the low bunk, and peered out the window. wherever they were goinmng, well, they were on their way.

At the wheel, Jack looked at a compass from time to time. this was no ordinary compass either, as it never pointed to due north. he sniffed at the wind, and hummed a piece of a sea shanty to himself..

Drake sighed as the ship sailed. He had to admit that the boot did seem faster than most ships he came across, but it was extremely slow to someone who could fly. He glanced up at the sky and crouched down before leaping into the air and taking flight.
Eddie leaned against a wall and sighed. He wished he had something to do, but at the moment, there were no orders being issued. He looked up and watched as the dragon that had joined their crew flew circles over the ship.

Jack turned at looked at Eddie. "loook lively lad, or I'll give you something to do.. I have it! Go to the galley and start fixing up something to eat for dinner..If you're not of a cook, well that's alright, savvy> as long as its passable.."Jack winked at him slightly, then turned back to the wheel..

"It will be passable..." Eddie replied. He really hadn't gotten much cooking experience after all of his stints in and out of prison.
Eddie went to the galley, the symbiote voicing its lack of interest in cooking and wishing something would happen. "I know, but I think it's nice to have some peace and quiet for a change."
Drake turned and flew on ahead of the Pearl, quickly becoming a speck in the sky.

Don't worry mate, We'll be in Tortuga, a day, two tops, then you'll get al the fun you can handle.. dfdrunken pirates, very loose women, money being spent willy nilly, and other such and such' Jack called after him.. "We'll be picking up some more crew members there..I seem to have bad luck keeping 'em alve..'

Eddie wondered just what kind of ship he had ended up on. He wasn't sure he wanted to ask what happened to the last crew, but he resolved it wouldn't happen to them. The symbiote would most certainly see to that.
He found the galley to be quite disorginized.

oh, And one more thing.. " Jack called out. "If you need help from anybody, just drag them into the galley and set them to work. You're the Ship cook now, mate, just throw whatever you can find into a stew and we'll eat it, even if you have to use your own shoes" Privately,Jack hoped Eddie wouldn't resort to using shoes as food.. If that happened then they were in very serious trouble..and in the mood for mutiny..

Dan went over to where some crew were doing stuff that didn't look to complicated and started to help where he could, Tah remembering having seen some crew doing stuff on primitive ships who's tech level was about equal or lower then the current one they were on.

Jack of Knives crawled over some of the rigging, inspecting each part carefully.
"No troubles from here, Captains sir!"
He called down, dropping back to the deck agilely....

Fine,, fine, keep it up!" Jack called out.
Mause sat down by Aves, whose face had turned a slight shade of green. "You throw up on me, Aves, and you're sleepping on the floor. I'm not going to sleep smelling of puke.."

Aves groaned a response and lay on the bed rubbing his belly
"Perhaps I should not have had those crabs last night. I'm already feeling rather.... ill..."
And then "HURRRK!!!"

Great Aves.." Mause said pulling away from where he had vomited up a huge patty of partly digested food. Aves was bent over, clearly he was not finished ppuking. "Once you're all done, Aves, We're tossing that stuff out the window.." The smell was extremely potent- a mixture of sweat, crabs, clams, and a touch of paprika.Tears began to well her eyes from the stench. "Just make sure you hit the floor, and not the bed or me.."

Jack of Knives popped his head into the door, and almost immediately retracted it, his eye watering from the stench.
"Ill...Smell...vile..."
He muttered, then wrapped an arm around the door, holding a bucket...

Dan smelled a bit of the smell when the wind changed and went to another part of the ship. "Whew, something below decks seems to have spoiled." He said not knowing what had happened.

Smells like a rotting corpse" Jack said, the smell was so potent he could smell it from the wheel. " Must have been one of the last crew, that I forgot to bury at sea..must be decomposing.. either that or someone spewing their guts out.."

Eddie looked up as he heard something that sounded distinctly like sea sickness. He sighed and focused a moment, the symbiote changing his outfit into that of a chef's. He grabbed a pot and turned it upside down, a cloud of dust falling out of it.
He made a note to try and find someone else to take his place, someone who would be more suited to the task than himself.

OH, DEAR. Said Death. IT APPEARS WE BOTH HAVE BUISENESS BELOW.
The Death of Rats nodded.
Both the figures sunk below the ship. Beneath, they found the corpse of a man. He must have recently drowned. Or it could have been the shard on wood protruding from his chest.
Some how, part of the ship had splintered away, and impaled the man.
"Man, the really hurt. So, you're Death?" Said the man's spirit.
INDEED.
"I remember there was a rat that was in my pocket. Is that why he's here?"
YES.
Death started to swing his scythe, when the man's spirit said "Damn floating blue things.
Death stopped in mid swing.
WHAT DID YOU SAY?
"Blue things. They got this guy to kill me. Well, throw me in the water. Then the boat ran me over."
OH, BUGGER.
Death reaped the man's soul, as did the Death of Rat's to the Rat's soul. They ascended to the ship above.
They decided not to speak about the Auditors yet. The mortals might not understand.
That didn't stop the Death of Rats.
SQUEAK SQUEAK EEK EEK SQUEAK! SQUEAK ICK ICK SQUEAK! SQUEAK! Squeaked the Death of Rats.

Jack of Knives turned around to look at Death of Rats.
"The Auditors...They...have been...moving about recently?"
He asked, in a low voice to Death and Death of Rats...

Dan saw Death and Death of rats, "Interesting, I guess they are not from around here." He said to himself.

A large swordfish dropped onto the deck in front of Dan. A second later Drake dropped down on top of it.
"Look what I caught," he said with a self-satisfied smirk on his muzzle.

"Nice work mate. "That fish can be stew for dinner tonight. Just cut off the snout, and use the rest" Jack said. "Go see Eddie- or whatever he's called, in the kitchen..

"But I caught it," the dragon said, crouching protectively over the fish. He stood on the base of the fish's long pointed nose, while he wrapped his tail around the other end. He yanked with his tail and broke the spear off. He turned the piece of bone over in his hands, seeming admiring the weapon before he set it down on the deck.

'Take half of it for yourself mate, the other half can go into the pot" Jack said. "After all it is your catch, so you should get some of it, but on this ship whatever we catch, we share..otherwise, we'd have crew members eating thier shoes..

"Okay," Drake said cheering up somewhat. He dug his claws into the fish's scales and tore off a large section of meat. He wolfed the flesh down in a few bites and then licked his lips and claws clean.
He bit ahold of the fish's tail next and dragged it towards the galley. He had a bit of trouble fitting through the door so he just stuck his neck in. "I have some fish that the captian wants stewed."
"Okay," Eddie said, walking out of the room when Drake withdrew his head. Eddie picked up the massive fish and carted it into the room.

"Thats guys a big fella" Jack said to himself. "Best not to get on his bad side, but I'm Captain, and if it requires, lying, stealing and double-dealing, to get what I want, then I'd gladly have a few throats slit on my orders..Right now, though, they're the only crew I have have, and a rather motley one at that.. Landlubbers the lot of them..'

"And quite a large catch too." Dan said seeing the size of the fish. He didn't say anything with them talking back and forth, then seeing the dragon eat a big of the fish raw commented, "I didn't know dragons like sushi also." He said.

"I like any kind of meat," he smirked toothily at Dan. "I'll also eat the occasional fruit, or vegetable."
Eddie meanwhile busied himself in the kitchen and soon a delicious scent was wafting out onto the deck.

Jack of Knives scuttled around to Jack.
"Landlubber? We are not. We happen to have much experience on ships. In fact..."
He paused for dramatic effect...
"We died on one."

"So you're some sort of undead thing.. interesting.. does the moonlight show you as you really are?' Jack asked..

"Any types of meat that are your favorite?" Dan asked looking up at the dragon.

"Hmm," the dragon looked thoughtful. His tail brushed from side to side. "That's a tough one. They all have so many interesting flavors. I suppose it would be lamb, once all the wool was plucked off of course."

Thats sheep mate..' Jack said. We can buy some sheep in Tortuga for you...You just have to earn your sheep, by doing small favors for me..

"What sort of favors?" Drake wondered. He brightened a bit at the prospect of more food. "I already brought you dinner."
He flicked his tail at the swordfish spear lying on the deck.

Setting a few rival ships on fire, nothing too hard" Jack said, his mouth twitching. "Keep to the Code though. If they beg parley, you must grant it.."

"That does sound easy," Drake chirped happily. "What is parley though? Or did you mean to say parsley?"
"Dinner... such as it is..." Eddie added the last part quietly to himself. "Is done."

'Parley is where prisoners are taken to see the captain. they are not harmed while the parley is going on. But once the parley is over" Jack made a slitting motion across his throat.. "If the captain so desires of course..

"Doesn't sound to hard or complicated." Dan said. "I've heard some pirates were pretty nasty types, killing everyone and such like that."

My firstr mate Barboosa was one such pirate" Jack nodded.. 'He marooned me on an island and left me with naught but a pistol with one shot in it, so if I finally had enough, I could end it all.. still got it in fact, to remind me of his gutless treachery.."

"Suppose they start hollaring it all at once in the middle of a badly burning and sinking ship?" Drake asked. "Does that mean I have to pluck all of them out and bring them to you?"

As many as you can grab" Jack nodded. "You probably won't be able to save all of them though.. "

"Well, I'll try," the dragon said, though he didn't sound very convincing. One might even think he was already dreaming of excuses to get around this rule

"You cutthroat" Jack said with a huge grin, showing rows of badly disclored teeth. "I know your type. You'd sell your mum to the butchers for a extra meal of fish.."

"I'd like to think she would fetch more then just an extra meal," Drake chuckled.

'You're a dragon after my own heart" Jack Chuckl;ed. 'now if you could go help the fox and his girlfriend, I'll be much obliged.

"Sure," the dragon almost seemed to skip off. The promise of fresh meat excited him almost as much as the supposed treasure they were after. He wondered what sort of help he was supposed to give the foxes. He put the thought out of his mind and sniffed the air for the scent of furry carnivores. He padded towards their room as he caught their scent.

Dan watched the dragon walking off, "Sounds like that went very well." He said.

" So where are you from.. dan.. is it?" Jack asked him>. "Have you been to Singapore? Your face looks kinda familiar.."

Jack of Knives looked at Captain Jack.
"Moonlight? No, it does no such thing to us. But we are marked...That is why we wear the bandages. So that we do not show our status to the world..."
He chuckled eerily...

Dan shook his head, "No, I've not been there. But as for where I"m from it may be hard to believe, but I'm from an earth, no idea if it's this one or not, but an earth of the year 2010." Dan said, not seeing any reason to lie, but didn't go into explaining about Goa'uld and such.

So you're from the future eh. so 2010.. thats almost" Jack counted on his fingers '300 years from now.. alright.. are there still pirates?' he asked in a low voice..

Dan thought for a moment, "I think most of them are in the middle east area and a few other spots." He said thinking of what he knew of his world.

"None in the Carribbean?' Jack's face fell. "Oh well, I'm not surprised. The British have done a bang-up job of stamping us out out here.. there's not that many left..."

Seeing his face Dan said, "Maybe I'm not from the future of this world, maybe it's another so in the future here there may be pirates here still." He said.

'You're not making any sense matey. There's only one world savvy..' Jack said.."maybe 300 hyears from now you've.. somehow made another.. but here in this time.. there's only one.."

Drake popped his head into the foxes' room. "Hey, the captain sent me to help you. So do you need any help?"

"Yes, please" Mause said. Aves had been vomiting for what seemed like hours, and there was a huge pile of vomit on the floor, and there appeared to be traces of blood n there as well. "Could you get a mop and bucket and sweep that stuff up.."

A disgusted expression appeared on the dragon's face. He thought about refusing, but the two foxes, particularly the one doing the vomitting looked miserable.
"Okay, let me see what I can do about it..."

Dan shrugged, "Ok." He said, not saying anything else.
Unusual world here, if magic does exist. Dan thought to himself and Tah. Indeed, or is it Gao'uld or ancient technology or a partially ascended person. Tah said in reply.

The dragon paused as he walked past Dan and turned his long neck around to look at him. "Do you happen to know where the mops are at? I would hate to have to pester the captain with questions."

Dan shrugged, "I'm not sure. I"ll help you with that." He said looking up at the dragon, "Two will make the job take half as long." He said, he paused a moment to think, "I suppose you don't know a cleaning spell that would help with that. I heard stories about how sometimes dragons are wizards."

"Ah... well now that you mentioned it I do know a spell, or two, but..." he frowned in embarrassment. "I'm not particularly good at the hocus-pocus. If I tried it's just as likely that the floorboards will disappear along with the mess..."
He glanced around the deck and sniffed the air as though he might catch the scent of a mop, or maybe some ammonia at least. He frowned as nothing reached his nose.

"I wonder what year mops were invented and if they have any yet. I know Coca-cola's not been invented yet. Not till 1890 something, then it'll have real cocaine in it and is best avoided." Dan said to himself aloud.

"Oh, so I'm not in my proper era then?" Drake asked. "I knew that hotel building looked weird..."
He spotted a bucket and mop sitting against the railing of the ship a short distance away.
"Ah, perfect," the dragon purred.

Dan nodded, "I'm not either." he said about not being in his proper era.
"Is there another one of both of those?" Dad said as he looked around.

"I don't know," Drake replied, picking up the mop between two talons. The dragon frowned as he tried to imagine squeezing into the room with the mop. It would certainly be possible, but his size would make him clumsy.
"Here," he tossed the mop to Dan, before grabbing the bucket and leaping over the side of the ship. He snapped his wings open and soared over the water, letting the bucket dip into the ocean. He flapped his wings and flew up with the water-filled bucket, spinning around and heading back towards the ship.

ause stumbled out of the room, no longer able to tolerate the smell. the soft swayinmg ogff the ship didn't help her with her balance, and it was all she could do to stay upright.. "I'll help, if you guys need it.. but I need some time to catch my breath.."

The dragon landed daintly on the deck, dropping the bucket and causing some water to splash over the brim.
"I would rather handle it myself since I volunteered to do it," Drake said. Sure he didn't have much of a work ethic, but his pride would not permit him to go back on his word. "But if you manage to find a mop, or something you're welcome to help."

Dan held the mop while Drake went to fill the bucket. He nodded to what Drake said and offered the mop back, "I understand." He said.

Drake sighed, wished he wasn't such a proud creature and squeezed into the doorway that led into the foxes' room. He was careful not to step in any of the vomit. He turned around and leaned his head out of the doorway, he thought he felt his tail slam into something furry as he did. "Of course, if you happen to find another mop, don't hesitate to help."

"Make sure you don't hit Aves, or he may puke on you" Mause called out after him.. "And i'm sure you wouldn't want that.."

Dan started to look around to see if he could find a mop to help out Drake. He was glad Tah could block out his sense of smell so he could not smell the odor if he could find a map and go to help Drake out.

"Of course not," Drake said, dropping the bucket down and sinking the head of the mop into it. "Next time please think to hang your head outside of the window."
He mopped up the vomit, his tail swinging from side to side and occasionally socking Aves with it.

Dan found a mop and bucket. He used a bit of rope to tie to the bucket and toss it over the side to get some sea water into it. He then pulled up the bucket, untied the rope and went to help Drake picking up the mop he had found.

After losing a whole weeks worth of lunch breakfast and dinner (not all in that order) Aves finally collapsed into a nearby chair trembling a bit
"Good gawd, what exactly did I EAT last night?!?" he said, feeling exhausted and trembling.

"Ugh," Drake groaned as he mopped up the vomit. "I'm afraid to guess."

"Something that really disagreed with you" Mause said, sticking her head back in, and finding the fox slumped on the bunk. "Why couldn't you have puked out the window? Then we wouldn't have to clean this place...'

"Couldnt help it." grumbled Aves "I was .... overwelmed."
He struggled to his feet and aproached the entrance to peer out
"And what exactly has been going on these past two hours while I was spitting up my insides?"

We're on our way to Tortuga, wherever that is, to get supplies. Jack say it should only take a day or so to get there, but I think you need to move around after puking for so long.." Mause said.

"I got elected as the ship's cook," Eddie said, approaching the group. The symbiote was still imitating the garb of a chef. "You're welcome to try dinner if you think you can keep it down."
"He cooked the fish I caught," Drake said saddly, then added boastingly. "It was a huge swordfish."

"Move around? Augh... I feel I need a nap rather."
with those words Aves collapsed in the doorway face up where he stared blankly up at the ceiling.
"Wake me when this crazy dream is over.... or do I have that backwards somehow?"

"You're a cook Aves, so you can help eddie with the cooking! "mause said happily. "You alway brag about how good a cook you are!"

"Are you sure he's still awake?" Drake asked, prodding the fox's side with the tip of his tail.
Eddie sighed. His plan to thrust the cooking duties to someone else had now turned to him ending up the cook's assitant more than likely.

Aves will take over foir you Eddie when he's ready, until then you'll just have to makee do.." Mause said.

"Is the fox done vomiting yet?' Jack cut in.."Yes, finally Captain" Mause nodded. "Just scoop up the stuff and dump it out the porthole.. " Jack said..

Dan came down with a mop and bucket with some ocean water in it. The Gou'uld blocked off his sense of smell so he could not smell. He went over to get started on helping Drake.
"Maybe it'll help if he's carried or drug up above to some fresh air, but maybe held with his head over the side of the ship, in case he's not finished." Dan said as he got started helping Drake mop up the area, glad he could not smell things at the moment. He was thinking he may try like what dolphins do, he'd sleep while Toh was awake, and while the other slept he'd be awake, so they'd not need to use the small and likely smelly crew quarters.

Good idea" Jack agreed. "Take the fox up to the deck, and let him rest outside. This place smells.. even worse than usual, he sniffed. "Usually the worst smell in here is the smell of the barnacles growing on the ship..."

"Good, slaving over a hot pot is not what we were put in this world to do," Eddie said.
"How could one little fox throw up so much?" Drake asked. He stepped back and set the mop to the side. He turned back to the mess and snapped his fingers, the vomit hovering into the air. The dragon waved his hand towards the porthole and the vomit flew out of it. "I wish I'd thought of that sooner."

Dan stopped moping to watch that. "Very handy." He said as he watched the effects of the spell. "Did it take long to learn that?" He asked Drake.

"No, that one was easy," Drake replied. "It was harder to learn how to make something disappear all together.

Jack saw the spell. "Well, now I know who to put on mop duty. Congrats matey," He said to Drake "you're in charge of cleaning up this old tub. Use that little trick of yours , and make the Pearl shine like the day she first sailed the seas."

"Um, okay..." Drake said. He closed his eyes and concentrated. A shimmer of green light moved outwards from the dragon and across the whole ship, leaving it spotless of dirt and also erasing every bit of paint on it and leaving the trademark sails white rather than black. "Oops. I think I overdid it."

"You're not supposed to clean it in 5 seconds!" Jack yelled. "Its supposed to occupy your time for hours, and you're supposed to feel a sense of accomplishment when you're finally finished. Now go up on the mast and recolor the sails..by claw" he said..

"I don't think cleaning would leave me with a sense of accomplishment," Drake said scratching his head in confusion. "And why do we need black sails anyway? Most ships just have white sails."

"Was the regular magic or dragon magic?" Dan asked curiously.

"Um, regular, I guess," Drake said.
Eddie crossed his arms. He was standing on the deck and glancing around in bewilderment at the ship's sudden lack of paint. "I have a feeling that dragon is behind this."

"Because its the BLACK Pearl' Jack sputtered. "the Ship is black, the sails are black, the crew is black.. -hearted... I did not fight Barbossa over a WHITE Pearl, I fought him over the Black Pearl.."

"Oh, so then it's a matter of reputation?" Drake asked. "Well, keep your hat on, I caused this mess so I'll fix it."

"Maybe put to much power behind the spell so it effected a larger then thought area?" Dan asked, guessing what happened. He looked around, "It may take a while to repaint."

Reptation, AND honor, Drake. The Black Pearl sows fear in all who see her sails, for when they see them, they know their time on this earth is near its end.." Jack said his voice becoming more and more passionate..

"That was probably the problem," Drake said to Dan. "Where do you keep the paint?" He hoped there was some paint on the ship, otherwise he would be forced to try another spell, one that might backfire like this one had.

"It was precisely that which drew me to the Pearl. I'm a pirate after all, I pillage, steal , covort wity loose women, the lot of it. I've nearly been hanged for it, several times..." Jack replied. "Find the paint, and repaint this ship, stroke by stroke, and Drake, if this ship isn't back in its customary black colors by the time we reach Tortuga, Eddie is going to be serving LOTs of dragon stew... saavy?'

"Sounds cool. I guess if they see a white pearl they may think they are saved & cheer." Dan said.

"There's no need for threats," Drake sighed. He couldn't see how he was going to repaint the whole ship before they reach Tortuga, wherever that was. He didn't really take the threat seriously though, several humans had already tried to kill him whether it was for setting something on fire, kidnapping a cute girl, or just because he was a dragon and an "instrument of the devil." It would take more than a drunken pirate to finish him.

"Just FIX the Pearl" Jack said, finally.. "We'll be docking at Tortuga in a day or so..to get supplies, and supplement our crew.."

"On it," Drake said, squeezing out of the room and heading towards the deck. He stopped and glanced back at Jack. "Does this mean I won't be getting any lamb chops?"

No, I'll still feed you your lamb chops" Jack replied. "You'll be hungry after repaiting the Pearl, and I promised to feed you.."

"At least the ship is still in one piece." Dan said trying to find a positive side.

"Well that is true mate, thats about the only thing, Drake didn't do to it..' Jack nodded..

The dragon growled in annoyance and ambled over to the cargo hold, deciding it would be the best place to check for paint first. He disappeared into the hold.

"Hey, I'll help him repaint" Mause volunteered. 'In fact, everyone, except for the Captain and Aves should help Drake out. Its not fair to have one creature paint this whole ship.."

"Good idea, if it's ok with the captain. I would have offered but it sounded like he didn't want anyone to help." Dan said looking at the dragon amble off.

Its your choice, you can help him if you want, I need to steer the ship" Jack said..

The Pearl had apparently robbed a paint factory ship recently because Drake found a large stash of paint, thankfully most of it was black, but he still wasn't sure if it would cover the whole ship. He wrapped his tail around the barrel and raised it off the ground, carrying it outside and setting it down on the deck.

I'll help you " Mause said, coming over and grabbing a paint brush from a small pile that Drake had dropped in the middle of the deck..

"I will as well." Dan said, "3 Should make the job go much faster. Do you think we should work together or go to different parts of the ship?" He said as he looked around for a brush and picked up one and a can of black paint.

Different parts of the Ship I would say" Mause said.. "Each of us can focus on thier own section...'

Drake grabbed a paint can and brush and flew up to the sails. He began to recolor the ship's trademarked sails by claw...
Eddie glanced over at the piant cans and walked to them, picking one up and looking over the side of the ship. He swung himself over the edge of the ship, his feet sticking to the ship's wall. He crawled down the side of the ship and began paiting.

Dan took another can of paint and a brush and went to another part of the ship and started painting. As he started to paint he started to started to whistle to keep himself occupied. When he was younger he had wanted to learn to play a musical instrument but seeing how expensive they were decided to use something more natural and teach himself how to whistle and by the time he was an adult he had gotten pretty skilled.

After a few hours of rest Aves stumbled from the bunk that he was laid and came up upon deck
"Bloody ell! I'm surrounded by salt and water and more salt!" he complained "Think I'll skip salting my eggs until I'm back on land again. there's plenty of salt to crack lips here in this dratted ocean!"

Drake forwned and hovered away from the sails. The paint just didn't have the same fineness that the black thread had. He glanced around and then laid a paw on the sails. He closed his eyes and concentrated. He opened his eyes and to his relief found that he had improved the look of the sails somewhat.
"So you're up and about?" Drake asked, dropping down next to Aves. He glanced around at the partially colored ship. "Want to grab a brush and help out?"

Good, you're Awake!' Mause smiled seeimng Aves looking areound. "Come over here and help me paint this side of the ship. " she waved the brush at him..

"Wait... work? Help out? Wasn't I on vacation a few hours ago?"

"Maybe doing the same stuff he's done on this ship." Dan said stopping his whistling, but not his painting, to comment, then going back to his whistling while he painted.

I would hope you didn't throw up a lot at the cAfe' mause laughed. "Come on you poke, lets get painting Drake accidently turned this ship white, and now we have to paint it black again. Captain's orders.."

"I was only trying to help," Drake said. Well, actually get out of a very time-consuming task without any work, but that was getting into details he'd rather not go into.

Dan pauses his whistling again, but not his painting, "Maybe he does that between counting his money and has others run it since he's otherwise to busy." then he want back to his whistling.

Thats the kind of 'help' that gets you marrooned mate" jack said from the steering wheel. "Captains like myself, don;'t like "help' going awry, savvy. Nice job on the upper sailsm, now do the bottom ones.."

Dan looked over at Drake, "Maybe try to just do small areas, that may work." He said, attempting to help and hoped the dragon would not get in more trouble.

Thats what we've been doing" Mause said pointing over the rails at the area she had painted..

"I meant with the spells." Dan said.

Oh, Don't know magic, so I can't do that.. I can get men to do things for me though"Mause grinned, she wasn't above using her wiles to get what she wanted..

Dan shrugged and went back to painting and whistling.

In the digital world Terry had his costumes switch to normal looking clothes and activated the device to try to get back to his home world, the first of many attempts. Hawkmon had gone to his Poromon form, since it was easiest to conceal. He had him in his hat (normally his helmet) that he held in one hand with his goggles on his pocket.
He went through the tunnel and as he went it switched color to reddish. On the deck of the ship a small white glowing area appeared. Then wind came from this as it grew wider and mist blew out of the white area obscuring what was happening withing. When the wind died down and the mist dissipated Terry stood there in normal casual clothes circa 2045 with his hat in one hand and Hawkmon in his intraining form concealed within it. He looked around.
"Doesn't look like where I came from." He said.

"Who are you?" Drake glared at the human that had just appeared. He would have liked to have an excuse to attack him, simply to relieve his frustration of having repaint the whole ship, but common curtousy demanded that he be given a chance to explain himself.

Terry waved his hand, "Hello, I"m Terry. I was, in a place you've likely not heard of and am trying to get back home." He said looking around, "This doesn't look anything like it. I'd guess the ship is pre 20th century." He said.

"Why can't you just walk back home?" Drake asked, he sat down and waved a hand towards the lower sails, coloring them black. He sighed as he saw that the spell had worked out fine.

"If he could do that, he would" Mause said. "I'm mause, and that man over there is the Captain.. Please make yourself helpful, as we're trying to repaint the ship.."

"Sure. Terry said, "Where is the paint and brushes at?" He asked looking around.

Mause pointed to a pile of paint cans and brushes in the middle of the ship, near the mast.."There you go" She smiled at the young-looking man.. who apppeared to be somwhere in his thirties, although one couldn't be sure..

"Thanks." Terry said, looking at the dragon and thinking he seemed to be acting like one of those bully digimon he & Hawkmon had to fight before. If so he and Hawkmon were more then ready and not afraid to do so.
He walked over and picked up a paintcan and brush with one hand, keeping the holding his hat. He was glad he and Hawkmon and Poromon had drilled & practiced on what to do if danger popped up while he was in his civilian guise.

The dragon turned away and picked up a paintbrush, getting to work on the ship.
Eddie leapt up over the edge of the ship, walking over to get another bucket of paint. He had so far covered a lot of the side of the ship. He glanced over at Terry. "So we have another new crewmate?"

yes, this is Terry" Mause said, pointing at with a paintbrush. "This is Eddie.. He's been our cook for the day.."

Aves grumbled while he worked (I smell a spoof on the seven dwarves just from that description xD )

Quit Your Whining" Mause said, "I'll make it your while Aves If you work on this for a little bit..' She winked at him.. and a goofy grin spread across his face..

"Hello there." He said waving to Eddie. He looked for a spot and went over to start painting. He set his hat down, bottom up, with Poromon inside it, listening to the goings on.
Dan shrugged and continued painting. He wondered if any more folks would show up in unusual ways.

Who is that fellow in that fancy dress?' Jack said turned from steering the ship and looking back at Terry. "Welcome aboard the Black Pearl,mate, I'm Captain Jack Sparrow.. you're now part of my crew.."

Terry looked in the direction where Jack was and waved, "I'm Terry, nice to meet you." He said.
"Things seem ok so far." Poromon whispered, "even if they are pirates."

Well Terry, You're now in charge of makinng sure everyone else stays in line. I'm making you second mate, Mr Gibbs is first mate and is waiting for us on Toruga with a good number of crew..

"He shows up out of nowhere and isn't around for more than five minutes and he's already second mate," Drake muttered angrily, his tail waved from side to side in agitation.

Mate, you ruined your chance at second mate, when you turned the Pearl white.." Jack gave Drake a look. "Every person on this ship has a job to do.."

"Well, I am fixing it," Drake said. He hoped he would have time to wander around when they got to Tortuga. He wasn't used to staying in one place for very long.

"He sounds like a big bully." Poromon whispered from the hat. Terry didn't respond, not sure if it was that or if Drake was upset for some other reason.

Aves grudgingly continued his scrubbing, looking upon the washwrag and the surface of his scrubbing with a dull expression. He was trying to formulate a plan of escape from the Pearl
"Perhaps I should borrow one of the boats for a night" he said to himself "and head towards the nearest land... wherever that may be..."

Mause went over and gave Avves a friendly hug. "Good to see you up and about.." She said softly..

"Having second thoughts already?" Drake asked, standing next to Aves. He hadn't overheard what the fox had said, but it was easy enough to make out his thoughts from his expression.

"You're not going anywhere mate" Jack said, from the steering wheel. "We're only a couple hours from Tortuga, there we'll step off for a few days, get some drink and food, have some fun, and load up on crew and cargo.."

"That soon, that is close." Terry said.

Drake leapt into the air and took flight, gaining alititude until he could see the landmass they were approaching. He glanced down at the ship and saw that there were still some white spots on it. He growled worriedly and dropped back onto the deck.
"Okay, let's hurry up and finish painting this thing," he said.

"How close are we Drake? Jack asked. "Look mate we'll get paint supplies along with the other stuff, So , for once I'll be nice, and say if you miss a spot here and there, well, we're going to be in Tortuga for at least a couple days, more than enough time for those last few spots to be painted. So don't worry. " Sparrow was a flighty guy, at one moment bent on revenge, the next moment being buddy-buddy..

"It's not very far," Drake replied, glancing over the edge of the ship and towards its front. "I'll still have most of it painted." Drake promised.

Thats fine Mate. I'm sure you'll be glad to get off this boat. Months at seas can be very monotonous, Theres only so many card games you can play...withour being utterly bored.. trust me mate" Jack smiled, showing his discolored teeth..

Dan nodded hearing the others talking. Most of the forms of entertainment had not been invented yet. He wondered if they knew about what scurvy was or not yet.
Terry continued painting in the area where he was. He paused only briefly to unwrap part of a candy bar to put into his hat to feed Poromon.

Mause contninued painting and working up a swaet as the Pearl continued saioling toward Tortuga. Finally the island became visible in the distance..

"get ready to debark, mateys, Tortuga awaits!' Jack said, a visible bounce in his step.. "There you can rest yer bones, sip a few drinks, and have a little fun with the ladyfolk.. or men folk' He said nodding at Mause. " As be your pleasure..

Drake almsot bounced up in down with joy. Fortunately he contained himself, afraid such an action might cause him to break the floor and drop to a lower one.
Eddie sighed and leaned over the railing, staring out at the approaching landmass. "I suppose this place is often visited by pirates like us?"

"Hopefully at least half way civilized pirates." Terry said looking to where the land could be seen. Putting his goggles down and activating the lower levels of magnification.

Yep, its a stopping for Pirates all over the carribean" Jack replied. "Just try and avoid doing anything stupid, I've lost several former crew to slit throats."

"We can fend for ourselves," Eddie said. He didn't like the idea of setting foot in a place that sounded like it would be filled with criminals. He had spent enough time around criminals when he had wrongfully imprisoned for trying to defeat that wallcrawling menace.
"I'd like to see them try and hurt me," Drake snorted pridefully.

"I guess you mean no cussing out everyone you see." Dan said, not that he'd ever do that anyway.

Cussings fine, chaps there do it all the time.. just don't go picking fights thats all.. While we do have a code, not all pirates follow it, even though we're supposed to.." Jack said.

"Cussing all the time? Sounds like an aunt of mine." Terry said. "She says at least 1 cuss word per sentence in regular daily conversation.
(ooc: I have an actual aunt like that. Or I did, I've not seen any family in 20 years and I love it that way.)

(the saying is true, you can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family.. You've not seen your cousins in 20 years? Thats a REAL long time. In my family, we try and see both sides of the family at least a few times a year..)

"She sounds charming," Drake said sarcastically. He had sat down and was scratching at his neck with his hind leg in a dog-like fashion.

"They certainly can." Toh said through Dan, having several centuries of experience being around humans.

Aves took the time of blinking at the approaching land mass to be lazy from his painting duties.
"At least its land" he thought to himself.

"We need to finish up as much as possible Aves. The more we do now, the more free time we'll have to relax later' Mause said, giving him a disapproving look.

Dan and Terry go back to painting, with Terry pausing to put some of the food he has into his hat to feed a hidden Poromon.

Eddie headed back over to the collection of paint can, grabbed a brush and set to work again. Drake reached over with his tail and dipped the brush he had curled the tip of his tail around into the can.

The peaerl sailed into port, and Jack called out to his crew. " Alright, mates! Stop what you are doing, and get ready to debark! We'll be spending the next couple days here, which is just as well, as the weather's not looking too good" Clouds had blocked out the sun, and they were growing darker..

"All right!" Drake exclaimed happily. He tossed his paintbrush down and leapt off the ship, opening his wings and circling around to land on the duck. Two pirates stopped and stared at the dragon in shock.
"Um, hi?" Drake said at which the men quickly headed back towards their ship.
"Do you need any help gathering supplies, Captain?" Eddie asked.

Yes, Eddie, I will need help with supplies.. Food, Drink, and a place to stay for the night. I will cover your rooms for the night, since you are my crew, but tommorow night, you'll have to pay your way..Jack replied.

"That seems fair enough." Terry said, how carried some gold and gems around, figuring whatever time period or version of earth he 'd wind up in there would be some who find it valuable.

"Meh, humans," Drake sighed, leaning against the Pearl's hull. His expression became sad for a moment, before his usual neutral expression reappeared.
"That will be fine," Eddie said. He didn't think the pirates would take the money he had on him and he didn't have much anyway, but he was used to going without a proper bed.

"You'll be staying obn my dime DRake, so don't worry" Jack said, tossing down the anchor, and climbing into the shoreboat, everyone in the boat1 Look lively now!"

Dan went ashore. Once Terry was sure he was alone he looked at Poromon in his hat. "Maybe best you digivolved. Some of these pirates may not be very nice." Terry said, and pressed a spot on his secret belt buckle under his shirt that gave him over 150 lbs of extra muscle and denser bones, ligaments/tendons to support the extra muscle.
Poromon got out of the hat (which remained a hat since it wasn't in contact when he initiated his change, unlike the rest of his clothes which switched to his green ghost costume. He put his hat on, moving his goggles off of his eyes but onto his forhead, out of the way but still handy.

Hawkmon landed on Terry's shoulder and they went ashore. Terry easily jumping from the boat to the dock with Hawkmon flying and landing on Terry's shoulder once he landed.

Eddie copied Terry's easy jump to shore. He turned to regard Terry's change of attire with a raised eyebrow. It appeared to be some trick of technology. "Interesting costume. I take it you are a super hero?"
"What are you?" Drake asked, turning to stare curiously at Hawkmon.

'interesting pet, you have there, Terry" Jack said, as they climbed in the boat..

"Sort of yes, in the world and time I'm from. Though I've spent more time in the digital world lately. Can't quite seem to find my way back home, though oddly enough I can still interact with it through email, im messengers, skype and other internet means, just can't physically go there." Terry said.
Hawkmon looked up at Drake, "I'm Hawkmon, a type of Digimon, digital monster." He said, "Nice to meet you." He said.

Mause climbed into the boat, not noticing Terry's change or the arrival of Hawkmon. "I'm ready to set foot on land again, Captain!" She declared..

"Name's Drake," the dragon said. "Where are you from? I've travelled all over, but I've never encountered a digital monster before."
"I know what it's like to be trapped in a place you'd rather not be..." Eddie said. "At least, you can still interact with your home, even if it's only in a small way."

I know the feeling too. I was marooned in a deserted island.. twice.." Jack said.

"I'm from the digital world. A bit hard to get to here since there is no internet or computers." Hawkmon said.
"But possible with an invention of mine or it will be once it's recharged." Terry said, and he nodded to what Eddy said, "at least I can interact with it a little even if I can't get back there. That is something, but not the same as being able to visit."

"I haven't heard of those either," Drake said. He wondered for a moment just far away from his home he had wandered and if he would ever be able to get back.
"Marooned twice?" Eddie turned to Jack. "How did you escape?"

luck.. both times.." Jack replied. "The first time I managed to buy passage on a rum ship that used the island as a storage depot. The second time though it was a bit more complicated.."

"Walking on water with inflatable shoes or a raft?"
"Or maybe fish power." Hawkmon said remembering one of Gomamon's power in his rookie form.

No, neither of those things, its a long story, and I don't have time for thats now.." Jack replied.. the wind was starting to pick up...

"Well, I'm going to go look for a place to stay while we're here," Drake said. "Hopefully there's a cave around here someplace."

Theres one on the south side of the island, its used for excess goods" Jack said. "Help yourself to it mate..."

"I'd rather find some palce more secluded," Drake said. "But thanks for the suggestion all the same."
"So is there any place you'd recommend eating at here?" Eddie asked.

Dan & Terry looked around & Dan remembered a line Ben Kenobi had said in star wars episode 4 about Mos Eisley, but thing no one would catch the reference so said nothing.

Theres the "dance Hall" where you can get food drink, and pleasure company, or all 3.. if you're willing to pay extra.." Jack said.

"Why is it extra for all three?" Drake wondered outloud.
"I'm not sure I want to hear the answer to that," Eddie said as he began walking off.

"Maybe it needs extra staff to do all 3." Terry said.
"It could be that." Dan said.

long story short, because the women.. have to er.. do certain thing.. for the men, which cost extra.." Jack said evasively..

"Naughty things sounds like." Dan said.
"Nothing like that in the digital world I don't think." Hawkmon said, not understanding certain things about humans or human culture.

I would hope not, wherever the digital worlds is.." Mause replied.. "Can you find us a place WITHOUT loose women?' She said pointedly to Jack..

"I think for that we'd have to go forward in time quite a few centuries." Terry said.

"I doubt men will ever outgrow the need for women, so you're going to have "loose" women in just about any period" Mause repplied, curling her lips in a disapproving fashion..

"I wonder if they have any on Vulcan. On Delta I bet every man and woman is loose, since they seem to party all the time." Dan said meaning from the startrek shows he's seen.
"& yellowbellies too I would bet." Terry said, remembering a movie he had seen about talking cartoon dinosaurs.

Jack continued rowing the boat towards the shore, the waves were starting to pick up and the sky was turning black. "looks like we're in for a gale.." Jack said gazing at the clouds with a wary gaze..

"Well then, I'll be on my way," Drake said, glancing up at the darkening sky. He launched himself into the air, rapidly beating his wings to gain altitude. He hoped to find a suitable cave before the storm started, since flying in bad weather was a bad idea.
"We should hurry and find shelter then," Eddie said.

Jack docked the boat and climbed oyut. "make for the nearest building 'Jack said, as thunder crackled off , indicating a storm was approaching rapidly.. "We need to find shelter first... you can be picky about the arrangememt later.."

Drake swore loudly at the first clap of thunder, beating his wings faster. He flew towards the nearst mountain he could spot.
Eddie leapt from the boat and did as Jack suggested, running for the nearst building. He vainly hoped it wouldn't be a bar, or similiar establishment.

Mause climbed out and began following Eddie to the nearest building.. "Les just hope thats a hotel of some kind, and not a "gentleman's club.."She said breathlessly as she raced after him.

Hawkmon clung tightly to Terry's shoulder as Terry activated his hat and turned it to his helmet, to keep it from blowing away in the wind and to keep the rain out. As it did so his goggles went down over his eyes. He then made his way to the building with the others, holding Hawkmon with one arm against his shoulder.
"Not a fit night for man nor beast." Hawkmon said.
Ian kept up with the others and made it to the building as well.

they just managed to make it, before the storm broke in full force. "Luckily this building was NOT a gentleman's club.. it was in fact a rudimentary hitel. "!5 quid per night" Said grizzled weatherbeatebn pirate who was resting by the doorway.."Eats are 2 quid extra.."

"Our captain will be paying for our first night," Eddie said. He found it strange to be using the plural tense to describe more than just him and the symbiote, ever since he had bounded with the alien, it had just been the two of them by themselves until now.

The winds were getting worse, making it hard for Drake to fly and to top it off the rain had started. He really wasn't too fond of water in any form.

Jack tossed the pirate a bag full of gold. "That should be ebough to cover our stay. " Jack said.

Aye, its enough" The pirate replied. "I'm just serving as a doorman reallly, since my last ship up and left town without me.. "

"That sounds rather rude of them." Terry said.
"Quite so." Hawkmon said.

It happpens to lots of pirates round here, the longer you're in the business, the more likeky you are to get drpopped off at some point.."

"I guess it would." Terry said.

"Would you be kind enough to show us to our rooms?" Eddie asked. "We've had a long day."

Drake spotted a cave mouth through the gale of rain and wind. He swooped towards it and landed. He had to pull his wings in close to fit into the entrance.

Certainly. Names Giggins, if you're looking for crew.." the pirate said. "I was once on the Sandshark.. led by Captain ..."
"Captain tarooney/ I remember him.. Didn't the Brits hang him?

"We are looking for crew," Eddie said. "Since ours is rather small at the moment and I don't think any of us have sailing experience."

Excellent" Giggins said, where do I sign up? He asked as he lead them to a group of rooms. Pick your room, doesn't matter which.."

"So no signing in or assigning rooms?" Terry asked.

Nope, pick your room, it don't matter to me... just no switching! Once you pick your room, thats your room for the duration." Giggins said.

"Understood," Eddie said, pushing open the door to one of the rooms. It wasn't a plush hotel room, but it wasn't a prison cell either.

Jack picked out a room, 3 doors down from Ediies. Mause chose the room cloest to the stairs as hers. It was sparse, with dirty window, and a lumpy bed. Still it was shelter, and it would have to do..

Terry and Dan chose rooms next to each other. Not liking the way they looked much, but considering the time they were in one could not expect much.

The symbiote changed itself into a pair of black pajamas as Eddie walked over to the bed. He sat down on the edge of it and glanced out the window at the storm outside. He wasn't quite ready to turn in yet, but the rain and the fact that this port wouldn't provide much in the way of wholesome entertainment discouraged him from going out.

"Messy weather' Jack said as he looked at the bview outside... He poked his head out. "If any of you folks want to get something to eat, feel free. jUst don't eat too much.. gold don';t grow on trees.."

"Thanks." Terry said & went with Dan and Hawkmon to where the food was served.

A waitress in her late teens to early twenties approached them. She was dressed in the traditional style for this era, save for the sneakers on her feet. She was tall with brunette hair. A frown adjorned her face. "What can I get you?"

I'd like some fish, please "Mause said, taking a seat.. and water.. I don't drink beer.." She smiled at the waitress who did not return the smile..

"Good for you," the waitress said. She frowned and glanced around before leaning towards Mause. "I take it from your attire that you aren't from around here?"
-
No, I'm not" Mause said. "I'm actually from the.. 'American colonies" she said remembering what time period she was in..

"Uh-huh," she said skeptically. "I'm Evelyn Harper, I'll be there your waitress since this is the slow period and the rest of the staff is off drunk, or elsewhere..."
She grimaced in disgust and turned to head back towards the kitchen.

Thanks Evelyn' Mause said, as Jack joined them. "Rum, and fish for me love" he gave Evelyn a smile.. tossing a couple gold coins on the table..

Evelyn paused long enough to scoop up the coins, counting them as she headed back to the kitchen. A few minutes later she returned, bringing Mause her water and Jack his rum.

"Rum.. I haven't had a drink of it in awhile.. forgot to load up on run on my last stop.. stupid me..' Jack said, drinking greedily from the flagon..

Mause took a sip of water. it was metalic, and didn't taste very good. "Is this wellwater..?"

"Yeah," An apologetic look appeared on Evelyn's face. "Personally I wouldn't eat here if I had a choice, but most of the other places are rowdier than this one. I think it's the food that keeps most people away from here."

Well, as long as its edible,we'll eat it.. we haven';t had much to eat today..' Mause admittted.

"Well, just don't mention me if you decide to complain to the manager," Evelyn said.

Don't worry Love, we won't complain" Jack said. "We're hungry enough to eat just about anything.. so set food before us, and we'll eat it...

"All right," Evelyn said. She glanced back at the kitchen with a worried look. "I better get back there and keep the cook from burning it."
She stalked back towards the kitchen.

"Wonder if she'd like joining the crew?' Jack asked, looking over at Mause and the others. "You mind if we bring her along? We do need crew" He said to the rest of the table...

Evelyn reappeared, carrying two plates each lain with a moderately blackened fish.
"I was a little too late," Evelyn frowned as she set the plates down. "Anyone need a refill?"

'i'll take some more water I guess" Mause said.

I'll have another pint of rum, please" Jack said, smiling.. "That run you have here is pretty good.. Say, Would you like to join my crew? I'm in need of a crew, these folks here are my skekton crew, but I need more.."

"If it means getting out of this rattrap, count me in," Evelyn replied. She frowned. "I really don't know anything about sailing though, but I can work a sword and a gun, amongst other things..."

Dan and Terry ate their food and kept quiet for now, trying to learn what they could by listening.

Dan shook his head, "No, I don't mind. Skills with a gun and sword may well come in hand in the future." Dan said.
Terry finished swallowing what he was chewing on as he thought it over. "I agree with Dan. Those skills may be very well needed in the future. I'd be glad to have her along." He said.

Very well then, she's in" Jack said, that brings us to about a dozen.. we need probably two dozen to have a decebnt-sized crew.."

"Good," Evelyn said. "Will you be in town for a while then?"

"probably.. at least a few days while we stock up on supplies, and crew" Jacvcjk replied.. "Anyonev you know is interested in signed have then see mr Gibbs.."

"I don't know anyone here," Evelyn said. She glanced at Mause's dress. "I take it you have no qualms with your crew wearing clothes from their own period?"

"My dear, i don't care what sytle of clothes they wear.. thats thier choice..'Jack replied. "except being naked..well in most cases.."

"Uh-huh," Evelyn said. She pulled up a chair and sat down next to Mause, not caring for Jack's seeming lack of morality. "I'm gonna have to insist on bring my bike along. It won't be of much use at sea, but I can't just leave it behind."

"It doesn't give me as much exercise as a heated battle might," Evelyn replied, feeling a little foolish for having rambled on so much, but she hadn't talked to anyone who went through the whole day sober in a long time. "Besides I'm afraid my skills might have gotten rusty."

"Really?" Evelyn asked. "And where exactly are we going and what exactly are we after? I'm sorry, but experience has thought me to be suspicious of people who act shadey."

I'm a pirate, love, shady's part of the business. ' Jack replied, taking a drink of rum. "We're looking for treasure, and we don't want that broadcast the 7 seas, so we have to keep it hush-hush. Savvy?"

"Oh. Well, in that case I understand," Evelyn said, relaxing a bit. "I don't like it, but I understand."

Mause tooik a bite of the blackened fish. It actually wasn't that bad.. apart from the burnt top. 'It's actually good, not too burnt..'She said..

The storm was dying down a little and Eddie was still feeling restless, so he opened his bedroom window and stepped out onto the roof, the symbiote enveloping him completely and transforming him into Venom.
He leapt for a nearby rooftop, deciding to go do a little exploring. It was a pity the buildings here weren't tall enough to make webswinging more possible.

In a nearby buildiong. Mr. Gibbs waited for the storm to die down. "Where in blazes is Jack?' he swore. Mr Gibbs was a gray-haired gentleman who was Jack's first mate...

"Hmm, I think I just heard the name of our dear captian," Venom said to himself as he landed on the rooftop above Gibbs.
(ooc: I'm not sure if this post is okay. I kind of got the idea from your post that Gibbs is near the outside of whatever building he's in and "swore" makes me think his voice was raised just enough that Venom might overhear him, but I can edit this out if that's not the case.)

"Let's go see if we can find out who's looking for Jack," Venom leapt toward the alley between the buildings and had the symbiote shift itself into pirate attire. He then strode around to the front of the building.

Mr Gibbs heard approaching footsteps and twirled around. "Who the blazes are you?' he demanded as he looked at Eddie, noe dressed in a period costume...

"I'm just someone passing through here," Eddie replied politely. "My captain's in port gathering supplies."

"Which sails are you under?' Gibbs asked. what's yer captain's name? I'm looking for capt. Jack Sparrow.."

"Well, what a coincidence," Eddie said. "He happens to be my captain. Unless there are more than one Jack Sparrow around here, but I doubt that."

by the powers in heaven!' Gibbs swore. 'Where is he? I've been waiting here two days, waiting for the pearl to dock.. and I've got a bone to pick with him. "Take me to him!"

"Very well," Eddie said, a little taken aback by Gibbs' frantic reaction. He turned to lead the way. "It's not far and it lots like the rain is dying down."

Once Jack and Mause were down eating, Evelyn cleared away the dishes.

Jack finished drinking his rum, and pushed the mug away...

Mr Gibbs followed Eddie, "Aye the storm's dyin' down. which is good .. for sailing.."

Dan and Terry finished their food and then started on their drinks. Hawkmon ate at more, to him, civilized pace and finished a bit after them then started on what was left of his drink, which he had sipped now and then during his meal.

"Finished with your plates?" Evelyn asked as she headed over to Dan and Terry.

"I suppose so," Eddie said. The inn the crew had taken refuge in soon came into view. Eddie pointed it out to Gibbs. "He should be in there."

Dan nodded and Terry said, "Sure. Thanks." He said.

"Very well.. " Gibbs replied as the rain startied falling again with greater intensity.. this forced him to break into a run..

"All right," Evelyn said, lifting the plates and taking them back to the kitchen. "Does anyone need a refill?" she paused long enough to ask.

One more rum for me.. " Jack said.
I'll have a soda.. whatever you feel like giving.."mause said.

"I'm afraid you just had the last of the rum," Evelyn said. "We were supposed to get a new shipment in this morning, but some pirates ransacked the ship."
He headed into the kitchen to get Mause a soda. Eddie and Gibbs burst into the room, both dripping with water.
"I think I might have found your first mate," Eddie said to Jack.

Gibbs, good man how are you. !' Jack said warmly. "Soaked to the bone Jack! and you're two days late getting here! I oughta give you a piece of my mind.." Gibbs swore.

Well I had to pick up a crew to get me here and those gents and lady were the onlys one I could find... " Jack replied.

"I'm afraid we're not experienced sailors," Eddie said, leaning against the wall. "But we're willing to learn and most of us are looking for adventure."
"I found some coke," Evelyn said, emerging from the kitchen and setting the bottle down in front of Mause.

Well, mates, its better than being completely green. You follow our orders to the letter, and we'll make seamen and women out of you yet..' Gibbs replied..

"It never hurts to learn a new trade," Evelyn said.

"You'll get paid very well, if all goes well' Jack reminded them. "We're going after the TReasure Del marta'; He whispered to Gibb. "Are you mad Jack?' He exclaimed with an oath. "no one has ever laid eyes on it and lived to tell the tale.. "

Evelyn looked up at Gibbs' exclamation. "You guys are getting shadey again..."
"If no one's ever laid eyes on it and lived to tell about it, how do you know it's real?" Eddie asked.

"I guess that means something of value must be there then?" Eddie shrugged.
"Or something very dangerous," Evelyn whispered so low that Mause was the only one who could overhear her.

Mause nodded. It was probably BOTh valuable and dangewrous, Mause thought, but didn't say anything..

Sila was in the shape of a human. She was naturally what some would call a reptilian species but categorizing her as a type of dinosaur would be more accurate. She had found her way to this world when the academy where she was studying that whose focus was on helping folks on self development and evolution using their own inharent psionic and magic, if any, abilities.
She & her partner that called itself Sar (a similar species to eddie's symbiote, but a different species or at least from a totally different universe) had escaped that world and universe and the academy was attacked. Sila had done a long teleport jump using the academy's jump portals, then found during mid jump if she pushed herself just right she went into another world elsewhere when she sensed there were some traps so she would escape those traps, though she'd be elsewhere.
They had found themselves in another world & at first had hidden themselves in the water and remembering her science lessons at the academy had used her psi abilities combined with Sar's filtering ability to extract some gold from sea water so they'd have some money. She later shaped herself into a human man once they've had time to observe the basic culture and had discovered it was mainly a male dominated society.
Her meditations more recently had lead her to this town and to a certain location she was heading towards. She had flown there using her psi abilities with Sar using it's camouflage abilities to mask them, similar to what the predator did in the first movie, not invisible, but not far off.
Once she landed in an ally in an out of the way place and Sar and shifted into an appearance of normal clothing Sila headed towards the bar/in that her meditations had lead her towards.

"Well, my shift's just about over so I'm going to go sign out," Evelyn said as she stood up and started to walk off.

Jack sighed as Mr Gibbs ordered a glass of Run from a passing waitress. "This is going to be a long journey, gibbs.."

Sila arrived at the location, walking into the bar inn, walking to the bar to order something.

Eddie ordered a piece of steak and sat down at his own table. The symbiote drew his attention towards the newcomer. The organism had sensed another alien presence coming from it, though it felt more similiar to the symbiote itself than the presence it had sensed earlier from Dan.

Sila looked over the menu and made an order of a little foot and a drink and went to at table once they were ready to sit down to eat them.

We'll head out in 3 days Mr. Gibbs' Jack said. "i figure we need around thirty men to have a sufficent crew..'

Thats not going to be easy Jack' Gibbs replied. "But I'll start gettuing you a crew.."

"Is that enough?" Terry asked, now knowing how many a ship needed.

We'll find out soon enough" Jackk replied, setting down the mug of rum, having finished the rum..

"What will we find out soon enough?" Evelyn asked as she entered the room. She was wearing a pair of jeans with a black jacket over a magenta t-shirt. She looked every inch a tomboy.

Whether having thirty crew members will be enough" Jack replied. "which we need to add about twenty to our current group" He looked at Evelyn..

"How do you go about finding them?" Terry asked.

Usually I have Mr Gibbs sign them up. usual terms, share of any loot, all the rum they can drink, all the open sea they can handle.." Jack replied.

"If they can handle the rum around some of these places, they can handle the open seas..." Evelyn commented.
Eddie's steak arrived, partially burnt of course. He shrugged uncaringly and began to eat.

Well, in this case, we're looking at several weeks of open seas, and very dangerous seas at that..' Jack replied. "But the payoff will be immense.."

"Sounds pretty good." Terry said.
"Indeed." Hawkmon said. "It could be far worst."

Aves had wondered off the ship and down to a nearby rock infested beeck. He had spied a small abandoned raft like boat and was making his way towards it.
"I could fix it up and make my escape." he thought to himself as he neared the boat
"Halt thar!" Came a voice from behind one of the craggy rocks "Ya tryin to steal me boat, are ya ya white tailed sea dog!"
Aves turned with a "Oh great, now what" expression to find himself faced to face with a one legged pirate with a parrot on his shoulder.
"Ay be Captain Long John Silver, and that be me only vessel."
"Captain Long John Silver, aye? One of your fry cooks burnt my fries and I wasn't particularly happy with the fish sandwich either."

Silver grabbed Aves by the scruff of his collar., 'Trying to be funny, boy eh? well, since yoiu tried to steal my boat, you'll spend the next couple days in lockdown.even pirates have rules mate. he produced a length of rope and produced tpo tie Aves's hands and feet. "there.. and if don't keep your yap shut, the gag'll be next.." Silver gave Aves a creul grin.

Sila had finished eating her meal, pretending to take a drink from the mug, while Sar extended a thin tendril from her hand to filter out water first then the alcohol.
She had heard some of what some other folks were doing, having Sar, and some of her own developed abilities. Once finished with her food and drink she got up and headed over to where Jack and the others were.

"Good luck getting a crew," Evelyn said. "I was going to go for a walk around town. If anyone would like a tour, they'd be welcome to come with."

Drake had left his temporary dwelling after the storm had stopped and was soaring through the air. The dragon could care less about being seen. The humans in this place if he had to guess probably had never seen a real live dragon and thus wouldn't have any specific ways to deal with one, than the standard reponse that consisted of lots of panic and shooting.
His smirked widened and he considered going into the town and causing trouble. There was probably plenty of gold down there for the taking...
He turned and winged away from the town, hoping it would help him to forget the tempation. Raiding the town wouldn't go over well with the rest of the crew.
