I don't think anyone likes the yellow bellies. Just goes to show: an academy award winning actor does not automatically make a character likeable.
Actually there is two award winning actors Robert Paulsen was also a voice of a yellow belly and I was like come on Rob the money wasn't worth it. It pains me to see a very good voice actor like Robert Paulsen doing a brainless character like a yellow belly. It's sad to see that.
Well to him it probably was. Otherwise he likely wouldn't have taken the job.

Ah yeah true I guess as a voice actor you have to take a job that is giving to you. Or if the directors think you're capable of the character. But still Rob Paulsen could have have done another thing back than instead of doing this. And he has did a lot of the sequels he played a raptor in LBT2 and he also did spike in almost of the sequels as well.

Well, maybe I'm harsh in saying no one likes them. I liked and still like Scrappy Doo, so that goes to show that there's always people who are capable of liking characters everyone else can't stand. Although I think I'm safe in saying that the Yellow Bellies are no one's favorite character or anything. I sure don't like them, and your right, Ducky123: never met anyone (yet) who does.

May I ask what is so bad about the Yellowbellies? :) I haven't seen LBT eleven to thirteen as of yet (I plan on fixing that monstrosity of a problem ASAP) but I'm curious; EVERYone, not exaggerating, HATES the Yellowbellies... and all I'm asking is WHY?
:DD

As for my thoughts on the sequels: LBT 2 and 7 are my absolute faves, so right there, I'm in love with two of the sequels^^ and i tend to like sequels more at times (Secret of NIMH 2 and Ferngully 2 could have been SO much more developed :p) but what I like most about sequels is that they often add in new elements for the characters to overcome, something you never would see them doing in the original movie.

I agree, that's a major bonus to these sequels, strut.

As for the Yellow Bellies, there's no one easy way of describing why people don't like them other than this: they don't work. You don't sympathize with these characters because they're not funny: they're just goofy, and they don't have any other real characteristics to fall back on. But, not only are they usually not funny, they're kind of like those 'escort mission' characters you have in video games-- you know, the defenseless ally you have to protect until they make it to their destination? That's the Yellow Bellies.

The yellow bellies where awful and very stupid and annoying characters. My I.Q. Dropped rapidly when I saw those characters. Everything about that movie made hurt me it was so bad. One good thing was the How Do You Know song that is it.

Haha I can see what you mean by that.
I tend to find charries like that somewhat endearing. They don't seem to have any worries and they're very easy-going. Reminds me a bit of those nomads in Avatar the Last Airbender. "You gotta focus less on the where, and mroe on the going"
"Oh, wait, we're thinking of ideas? Cuz, I've had an idea for like an hour now"  the nomads weren't really annoying - they were goofy, and borderline out of their leauge. That's what I think of when I picture the Yellowbellies. Guess I'll have to see for myself

True and I know I won't talk about how bad movie XIII is anymore. But I do admit I liked how some of the sequels turned out. Even tho most of plot lines where lame,

Even though I've never seen The Great Day of the Fliers and the last one, I don't hate the sequels. I enjoyed all of the ones I have seen, especially Journey to Big Water (Mo ftw) :DD

I thought the Yellow Bellies should win the Most Clever Way of Defeating Sharpteeth Award.  They'll do just fine I think.

Also, they get the Loudest Fart in Land Before Time Award.  That's another first.

Another thing I like about them is that they kind of show Littlefoot to have some bias, something we RARELY see from him.  Normally, he thinks that everyone is equal enough, yet here he thinks the Longneck Wisdoms are so valuable that the Yellow Bellies have no hope of making it without him, only to find out they can run faster than, I think, Ruby and can dance Sharpteeth to death.  Also, their hiding technique is amusing, if not a bit flawed.  I mean, even Littlefoot thought the Yellow Bellies were bushes for a while.

Also, another odd thing is that Cera, who often thinks herself superior, doesn't have much disgust for the Yellow Bellies in this one.  She seems to have hated Chomper and Littlefoot more in the past than she does the Yellow Bellies now.

Besides, I don't think Loofah, Doofah, and Foobie are the worst in LBT.  I think that role, so far, is taken by:

At least the Yellow Bellies were funny and had some great lines like "Hey look, they're still in a group!"  (That made me  :lol  :lol  :lol  :lol  :lol  :lol  :lol  :lol  :lol  when they said it.)

Also, I happened to think the farting was actually pretty funny and that it was a bold, yet great, move by LBT producers.

Dana and Dinah, on the other hand, were a pain in the tush and I actually felt sorry for Cera, who I had thought was a stuck up bully before that one, and now I started to like her after seeing VI.

Also, D&D weren't the only annoying part about VI.

VI, not XIII, is my least favorite film.

I also hated the following in VI:

1.) We never find out if Doc really IS the lone dinosaur.

2.) Littlefoot's hero worship is so out of character.

3.)  The country music thing just wasn't LBT in my opinion.

4.)  The fact that Dana and Dina's parents were NEVER around and poor Cera got stuck with babysititng duty.

5.)  The way they killed those Sharpteeth seems like murder.  (That REALLY bothered me, especially to see the kids cheer it on.   If Chomper saw that, he'd be like       )

6.) That it was originally going to be the last one.  (That would have been worse than 13 having been the last one!)
