"We need more help if we are going to the lost city" Adykon said. There are just two or us, and neither of us have any magic skill.

Akito cleared his throat.
"Make that three.  But you are right.  We will need magic users of some sort."
He said calmly...

Kavik continued with his weight exercises, working through his usual routine & finishing before he went to the next one.

Sivar motioned to a spot or 2 on her back so the massage person would give her a through scratching of her back.  She shivered in pleasure as the person started to scratch areas of her back gently.

"How about we try recruiting in the great temple?" Adykon said. "They have a lot of priests and priestesses there, along with a population of mages. I'm sure that they can spare one or two for a quest."

"I agree." Said Rhiga. "But, what are we going to do with the swordsman here? Is he coming? I thought that this was Dracon only."

"He is just as good to me as you are" Arcandas said, "As long as he can keep up with you two."

"You are letting him join us, mage? ... very well. I don't often work with outsiders, but, in this case, I will make an exception... but only because you say so, Arcandas."

Kavik was winding up his exercises and was slowing down and doing his cool down exercises before he would rest.

Sivar was finished getting her self lightly scratched then she'd rest for a while on the massage table.

Adykon got up. "Alright. Let's go to the Great temple. Follow me."

"Good luck." The mage said. "I'll meet up with you once more, when the party has been gathered together. Meet me at the inn later this week."

Akito nodded.
"Alright.  I'll follow.  And no need to worry.  I can pull my own weight on this band, so I won't be a liability.  Even if I'm not a Dracon."
He said, with a slightly sarcastic nod to Rhiga...

Kavik finished doing his cool down exercises and got some water in a plain cup.  He sipped it then without thinking did a cantrip to lower the water down to where it was between cold and cool, magic being natural & second nature to him being a sorcerer, unlike learned like wizards needed to do to do magic.  Though he did get practice & training in sorcery to learn to focus his gift & refine it, & learn how better to do certain spell instead of having to experiment & teach himself as untrained sorcerers did.

"Regardless, we ought to head to the great temple", Adykon said. "We should be able to find some more help there."

Adykon thought of the temples. In the Dracon lands, the temples were more than just places of prayer and worship; they were also places of magic and crafts. Every major Dracon city had a great temple, and each great temple had a company of mages, in addition to a library, craft shops, a rich treasury, and many other facilities. The temples also had incubators for eggs which were laid by some of the females in the temple, as well as eggs would otherwise be abandoned by their mothers.

Regardless of what else was there, the temple would be a good place to find a cleric and a mage, to provide more power to the adventuring party.

Kavik sat down to relax as he drank the water in the cup.

Adykon and Rhiga got up, thanked the mage, and got ready to head to the temple.

Kavik continued to sit as he rested from his work out and sipped his cold water, thinking about what he had read earlier & how his workout went.

As they walked through the rough streets of the city, Adykon and Rhiga talked to each other.

"I can't wait to get to the temple, Adykon", said Rhiga. "The attendants there are said to be very good at soothing pain, and I've got these knots in my back which..."

As Rhiga complained about her tension, Adykon was lost in thought. This was, clearly, the child of the female he had known and left. Was it right to approach her romantically? Was it indecent? What would she say if she knew that he had left her mother? Or that he had even been with her mother to begin with?

Siva was resting from her massage and back scratching.  Laying on the massage table and thinking what else she could do with the rest of the day and not having any duties to do anytime soon.

The two Dracons walked along. They weren't sure if they saw Akito with them or not. They assumed that he was keeping up with them.

Kivak drank some more water, going over to pour a bit more since his work out had gotten him a bit dehydraded and his reading and also done a bit towards that also.  He used a cantrip to keep the water between cold and cool, thus refreshing to drink and helping to cool him down from his work out faster.

The adventuring party approached the temple, and entered through the opened doors.

Kavik closed his eyes as he sipped the water, going over mentally without visual distractions what he had read in his research today and the past few days & before that so he could be sure he remembered it all as best as he could.

The party stepped into the temple. Even though the Dracons in the party has been there before, they were still awed by what they saw. The Great temple was a compound of many buildings, linked by causeways, halls, bridges, and tunnels. Housing many thousands in dorms and common halls, it was a neighborhood unto itself in a city which numbered about a million. Everywhere they looked, the party saw worshipers, attendants, priests and priestesses, mages, scribes, artisans, teachers, musicians, dancers, and children of the temple.

It took them a little while to determine where each of them wanted to go.

Kavik continued to sip the water while he next thought over what he wanted to do next with his time.

Sivar continued to rest where she was.  Since the room had plenty of massage tables so she could rest where she was for a while and remain relaxed before getting up to go.
