Cool. Is Malte coming? I know it's been a long time since I've spoken to him, but he's the person in this community I have the longest history with.
He took a look at the forum though I am unsure he if officially signed in today. He has been quite busy as of late. But Malte does have the necessary password to log in to the new forum.

I'm here, getting used to the new digs. Looks pretty good. Considering we only learned about the Tapatalk Shiv in the back a couple weeks ago, its remarkable that we have been able to pull this transition off so smoothly and so quickly. Many other forums that signed up with ZB won;t be as lucky as we are. As For this community, I hope that we will still be together 15 years from now. There simply arent that many forums that started in 2004 still around today.

Pretty much. The only ones from back then that'd still be around would be dedicated to something a lot more popular than Land Before Time is these days. Like Dragonball Z, or Doctor Who.

I made the decision as well. I agreed that moving over to a paid server would be the best option to avoid the same issues as before.

I'm hoping that everyone is able to transfer over. We might want to put a message at the top of the forums about the change so that if someone comes back months/years later, they realize that they need to retrieve their login information. I just changed the www.gangoffive.net domain over to the new forums so unless people remember the "unfriendly" original URL, they'll be redirected here.

That is a good call on the idea about a message on the top of the forum. I will try to add something like that in a few days in case some people have not received the message yet.

Been here a few days by this point; arrived kind of late to the grand opening, but I transferred all fine and dandy. Glad to see the new forum keeps all of the old posts and topics intact, since that gives me hope with another friend who needs to make a similar move to her own domain.

I had to change my username (the new forum didn't like the ampersand) but the admins found a workaround so things worked out for me :D (Plus I'd secretly wanted to change my name on the old GoF but I knew renames weren't preferred after the Noname fiasco, so it's nice that something forced it to happen.) Overall I'm pretty happy with the new forum, I like that it's got the super-old blue theme instead of the green highlights we adopted after that one April Fools
